Not the best Friendly's, but fine for what it is. Food is always delicious and service is also very good. Occasionally there is a bad odor at the entrance, and the food sometimes takes a long time but not long enough for you to get up and leave. I frequent this location and will be returning soon.

I love coming to this particular Friendly's restaurant. Everybody is always in such a good mood and are very friendly!! It seems that they know what they're doing because the wait is usually not that long, we've been to other Friendly's restaurants but always come back to this one even though we have other ones closer to us. Also I like to point out that is always very clean even the bathrooms!!! No matter how busy it seems we always have a good experience here. Thank you so much and keep up the excellent job!!

I usually love Friendlys. I haven't had it in forever, but when I went in to pick up an order I placed over the phone this evening, my feelings for this location changed. First when I entered I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Employees were just walking in and out not making eye contact with me. It's as if they just didn't care for customer service. Finally a manager came over & asked if I was being helped. I said no & I told her I placed a telephone order. She asked the girl who took it and she couldn't remember what I ordered and just said "I don't know I can't right now I'm busy" which is understandable because there was a line of people for ice cream. She just seemed so rude to begin with. She got my food and I had to remind her I requested some extra things. She had a gentleman ring up my order, then gave me half of my food, and gave my cup to someone else to fill, while she took waters out from behind the counter to a table which another manager gave me! It took overall 4 people to take care of me which was a joke. 2 managers and 2 staff members to help ring me up? The place wasn't even busy! On top of it I heard a girl talking about how she was annoyed with her tables. Another thing I noticed, was there was a woman on line waiting for her ice cream order and she asked why she wasn't being served yet and several people who came in after her, had already made their purchases and left. Again, all the girl could say was "I don't know I just made the ice cream orders" Not even a "I'm sorry for the wait" etc etc. Nobody told me have a good evening or anything. I am for sure never go back to this location. I'll drive to the next town over in Wantagh.

This Friendlys was really awesome. The service was on point and restaurant was very clean. I had the asian chicken salad and it was very good.

Food is good, waiters are very pleasant. My daughter enjoys going as its very kid friendly. We love the ice cream and sundaes however, food did take longer than average to come out. Will give it another try.

I love their watermelon roll ice cream but disappointedly you must buy the entire cake as the wait staff cannot cut a slice. Friendly's is one of the better chain restaurants as the quality and price of food is worth a visit. It is children friendly and great for dessert where patrons can literally skip the meal and go straight to dessert. Patrons can actually have their cake and eat it too!

Since the other Friendly's at Wantagh and the Denny's down the street closed, this is one of the last franchise diner - style budget places around here. We arrived a bit early in the morning but the hostess sat us down so we can order when the kitchen staff was ready. This place has been around for a while, so I was pleasently surprised to find it relatively clean. We had a bunch of breakfast items. The portions seemed perfect for one person to finish an entree. The food was just meh, nothing special. The prices well reflected the quality and portion of food. The parking lot is kinda small but the actual restaurant has a lot of seats.

The girl who took my order at the take out is in such a rush (dont know why ) but shes rushing so much that shes not listening to what im saying. She even gave me my total without asking if i was done with my order... i wasnt. She tells me 8 dollars and change. I add 1 more scoop of plain ice cream amd now my orders 16. Dollars... what ?? It turns out the total is correct, this time. The first time when she said 8 dollars was wrong. They always mess up the order or forget to give you something so, time to pay attention. Its time to find another friendlys.

One of the last Friendlys that I know of in Nassau County. This is also one of the best. At other Friendlys, you can find ok food. The Levittown location is newer and usually has good to very good service and food. Today they had a 5 dollar bacon cheese burger which is a standard big beef burger but almost half the price. Of course it comes with fries. :) I am sure we will be back soon...

This is probably one of the best local Friendly's in Nassau County. It's a pretty busy Friendly's. They have a separate area for just ice cream at the front of the restaurant. They have good service and the food is good as well. Try to avoid this place on Friday and Saturday for dinner. The parking litmus small and you can have trouble getting a spot.

Gross. We ordered ice cream, and while waiting for our ice cream...we saw the kids who work there place a dirty dish draining thing on top of the ice cream station. The ice cream was...ice cream from Friendly's. The owner was a 30 something bossing around a bunch of 16 year old kids. The kids were all goofing off and bullying a "new kid". When we left, we said that when we have a child we would rather them not have a job than have to deal with what was going on behind the counter at this place. Sickening.

I suppose I came in at the right time of day (2ish on a weekday afternoon) since it wasn't crowded, the server was very attentive and I got a decent experience. No cold food, no nasty attitudes & no incompetence. Navigating the parking lot can be tricky & this location is in the middle of a retail hell zone but overall, it was okay. Nothing spectacular and I would probably go to a different Friendly's in this area if I had my choice but 3 stars sums up my experience here.

I like Friendly's (the chain) but this location just doesn't hit the mark. Like others have said, the bathroom can give you nightmares. The service, depending on the hour of the day, can range from high schoolers who may not know everything but are at least nice to burnt out middle aged women who have been there since they were in high school. The food is always colder than the plate they serve it to you on. Go to the Friendly's in Wantagh instead...

Friendlys is Friendlys so the thing I care about is service, which ranges from okay to awful. One bad night I came here an hour before closing, the waitress had anger management issues or something and started vacuuming in our aisle right next to the table, cursing, and throwing vacuum attachments down the aisle. Obviously not the ideal outcome for a nice visit to the ice cream parlor. I only come here because of the lack of alternatives.

The Friendly's in Levittown is pretty much like any of the chain's outcroppings across the northeast: The food is standard fare with the highlights being the desserts. The prices are reasonable, however, and with two five-year old twins, having a quick dinner option after a busy work day is a plus. If our kids ever have a problem finishing their food, it's because they're too eager for their ice cream at the end to focus on the meal in front of them. We've had a some hits and misses with the wait staff -- there is one young girl, however, who is consistantly a top notch server. She's also very kind to our boys, taking a few seconds to talk with them both. They've both taken to asking whenever we go there if we can sit in her section. If I have one real complaint about the place, it's the state of the bathrooms. Frankly, they are in poor condition, reeking of urine most times. I understand it's a Friendly's but I've been to others up and down the coast, and have seen several kept in extremely good condition. This one however is not and I do not look forward to when one of my sons has to make a run. It's really for the condition of the facilities that I only give this Friendly's a two-star rating. Otherwise, it's a decent meal for a decent price. The New England Clam chowder is still one of the best I've tasted, even in comparison to some genuine seafood establishements.

I love Friendly's --just not this one. The staff is aweful at their jobs - slow service, cold food, melted ice cream, poor conversation. The Hicksville Friendly's in Delco Plaza is so much better!

I went here for lunch one day and the food wasn't anything special, a bit on the bland side actually. What bothered me was the fact that when I went to use the restroom there was poop on the floor! I almost threw up the lunch I just ate and told the waitress. 15 minutest later, hoping that the bathroom was cleaned....it wasn't. Maybe they were waiting for someone to slip on it and then face plant into the toilet and sue.

    C. and I headed out to Montauk for Presiden't Day weekend, and we made several stops along the way -- Levittown, the Amityville Horror house, the Big Duck in Flanders. When we hit Levittown, the paradigmatic American suburb and planned community, we were ready for a late breakfast. Along the main drag through Levittown -- highway 24 -- there's not a lot of note. Outside of the public library, it's basically a series of strip malls and not many restaurants. So we were stuck stopping at a chain. It wasn't bad. The food -- I got scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and toast -- was fine, and this stopping at this location meant that we could get back on the road quickly and easily. Worth knowing about in a pinch, I suppose, but there have to be better local places. They're just not reviewed in Yelp yet!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
