We drove through town on a trip heading south back to San Diego from NorCal. This was a great place with good food and staff with all smiles parking was a pain. We had the Mexican mocha, coffee, fruit waffle, bedazzle waffle, and the bruschetta. All great and pet friendly too. Parking can be a pain but circle the block and you'll find a spot.

This place is the perfect blend of vegan and paleo. We are from the SF Bay Area and eat lunch here every time we are in Reno

Wanted some good healthy food so we figured to try this place. Well, I apparently ordered the wrong thing, the paleo heaven.....when I got it, it looked like paleo hell! Gross bland sautéed eggplant and squash on top of bland sautéed spinach and kale with a piece of spongy chicken breast. I also added brown rice which I did not get. I recommend going to the store and preparing your own healthy meal at home.

Absolutely wonderful! Yesterday I met my husband for lunch here. I have been twice already but this was his first time. It was fabulous as usual. I ordered the Angus Beef Melt as a wrap and my husband had the Turkey Pesto on whole grain. I had quinoa and hubby had coleslaw as our sides. Everything was fresh and delicious. There is a chili sauce on the table that really kicked up the flavor of my wrap. Not that it needed it, though. I asked the waitress, Melissa, where they got it and she told me that Gino makes it in house. Gino was feeling generous that day and came out to our table to tell us how he makes it. The service in here is always fast and friendly. The place gets really busy at lunch time so I always try to go around 11 or 11:30 to beat the rush. This is a very health conscious restaurant and they support local businesses.

Good food! The traditional liege waffle was out of this world good! Omg so good. I ordered the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon sandwich. It's the first time I was eating salmon. The salmon by it self tasted a little bland to me. But the sandwich as a whole was very good. Wife ordered a Veghead sandwich which was also good. We had ordered the waffle as a desert. Tip: don't add the maple syrup. It's good without it. Very nicely sweet. Together my wife and I devoured it. I also ordered the tomato soup. I didn't think it was out of the world or anything. In fact I didn't even like it. My wife said it was like any other. The rating is 1 star short because of the soup. And well.. Because they took 35 mins to bring our orders to the table. I guess they were busy and they do say that they make everything fresh.

So good. I prefer we have more places like this in town. Places where I do not have to worry about a single thing I put in my belly!! That is huge in my book. My favorite thing is the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon salad, I get it with the wasabi dressing & I practically lick the bowl. It is a little pricey & this keeps me from coming as often as I would like, however when I know what I am getting is quality I really appreciate it.

Holy cow, such good food!!! Came in and found out we missed breakfast by a couple minutes but decided to try it anyway. My brother was initially unimpressed with the menu, probably too healthy for him, but was won over by both the coffee (sooo good) and his liege waffle. Mom got the same and said she can't wait to go back to try more food there. I have the BLTA and smokey potato soup. Both were incredibly flavorful. This was my second visit and both times I've been impressed with the food. Our server was wonderful, had some suggestions of what to try and answered all our questions without hesitation. When you're there make sure you sign up for their rewards club, get $10 credit for signing up and your birthday!!!

OMG my first time here and I am impressed! I got the Wasabi bowl and added salmon to it. The dressing has a little kick to it, but so, so good. The kale and spinach were seasoned perfect, and when it's 100 degrees it's quite refreshing. Definitely going back.

Whenever I have people visiting, I usually take them to Sup or Midtown Eats. Well I had a friend come into town that had already been to both. It was suggested by a mutual acquaintance that we try Great Full Gardens and see if we like it. So we ventured down on a cold Wednesday afternoon, and the place was packed - definitely a sign of a good restaurant. We only had to wait a few minutes for a table, so no worries there. We ordered. I got the El Salvador papusa (I'm very familiar with what makes a good papusa, so I thought I'd start with something I know) and my friend got the tomato soup and a salad. My first papusa came out with two things I requested they leave off- black beans and sour cream. They quickly remade it for me. While waiting for it, I had a taste of my friend's tomato soup, and honestly I don't know what all the fuss is about. To me, it tasted like marinara sauce, not soup. I prefer my tomato soup to have more of a creamy base. When the papusa came out the second time, it looked amazing. It had the chicken and a ton of melted cheese on top of a thick corn tortilla. It's not the way a papusa is traditionally served, but it worked. It also had a side of delicious salsa, and a green salad with cilantro-lime dressing. I found the best way to eat everything was by mixing little bites of it together - a little papusa, a little salsa with it, and a bit of lettuce. It was all so yummy. I ventured back here with my boyfriend and a couple of friends later that week and had another papusa. This one came out fine the first time, and everyone enjoyed their dinners. The third time I went is why this review is only 3 stars. The service was severely lacking, despite the place being fairly empty. I once again ordered the papusa, and instead of the soft thick corn tortilla I had before, I got a hard disc of corn. I couldn't eat part of it, it was so hard. I would venture that someone tried to microwave it and dried it out. The friend I was with ordered one of the specials that evening - a salmon filet on a bed of grains with mashed sweet potatoes. When we got the bill, it was a bit of a shock. The special was $9 more than the second-most expensive items on the menu (salmon salad and salmon sandwich) at $23.99. My friend told me it was good, but it wasn't $24 good. I blame us for not asking how much the special was, but at the same time, there was no reason for a $9 markup on the meal.

I have been a fan of Pathways since I've always studied on that side of campus. Therefore, I was excited to hear about Grateful Gardens. Finally, there is a restaurant that serves healthy organic food at a decent price! I try my best to eat this way at home. I like coming here for breakfast because their breakfast burrito and liege waffles are amazing! Their lunch specials are good too! This is one of the best restaurants in Reno. Open one in Vegas please :)
(5)Dale M.
I usually love the place. I bought some Gino soup for my wife (Mushroom Barley). It made here sick it was SO SALTY. Please label the salt content on your soups. It was a frozen soup from the co-op. Sorry to be honest, but hope you appreciate my feedback anyways.
(1)Joanne J.
My first time here and I cant wait to go back. This place is perfect cause there is something for everyone in your party from meat eaters to vegans. A good selection of good tasting food. Nothing fancy so come as you are
(4)Andy W.
Great place! Everything I order here seems to amaze me. The Liege Waffles are amazing; the grilled cheese sounds straightforward and they make it spectacular; and the tuna fish is quite tasty. Definitely a place to checkout.

I stepped in this place because of one of those "groupsocial" coupon offers. It is located just south of the downtown casinos in a newer strip mall on S Virginia Street. It was early morning so parking was not an issue, but seems like it may be later in the day. Upon walking in, the smaller space and spring-earthy colors and standard table arrangement reminded me of a small java house. Speaking of which the mocha I had was amazing (they even have a couple of non dairy options available). The hospitality staff were all friendly, and my waitress in particular was warm and sincere in a soft-spoken manner. She sold me on a non menu special of heirloom tomato caprese. Which was 2 thick heirloom tomato atop toast, with poached eggs and a well-balanced basil hollandaise sauce. The organic potato medley rounded off the dish perfectly. I also ordered a liége waffle, which is a slightly denser Belgian waffle, but the dough has pearl sugar in it that caramelizes during the cooking process and adds a crunchy texture that adds another facet of experience to the palette. No syrup needed but provided anyway. The prices are what I would expect for organic high end menu items as presented, but not unreasonable. I am usually a no-frills-meat-&-potato kind of eater, so this was a pleasant decision from my norm, but I find myself walking away satisfied not only in appetite, but on outlook for the day.
(5)Randy C.
The liege was something that I haven't tasted anything like before. A great combo of fluffiness and sweet. A rare place!
(5)Jenny M.
Great place for people with Celiac disease. Gluten free pancakes and gluten free toast. Best breakfast I've had in over a year!
(5)Amy K.
Two stars for effort because a primarily veggie/vegan place in Reno is awesome. That said, not great and expensive. Flavor is somewhat lacking and my salad had lots of wilted veggies and brown-ish kale, yuck. We got take-out so maybe the overall experience is better, not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
(2)Suraiya S.
Friendly staff, great service, and the best vegan/gluten free food in Reno!!! To me it's a better version of Pneumatic Diner, everything is so tasty and fresh and they have a fairly large selection of choices and varieties in the menu, and always willing to accomodate.
(5)Mr R.
Healthy food with organic when possible. Lots of gluten free options. Friendly service. I was very impressed with their selection of organic and gluten free options at a very reasonable price. They even had homemade hit sauce at every table ! The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I won't hesitate to go back for a quick and healthy bite.
(4)Janet C.
Everything was tasty, but those of us who ate the tomato soup got food poisoning. It doesn't matter how good food looks, smells, or tastes if it's full of salmonella.
(1)Derrick V.
I'm a huge fan of Great Full Gardens. We've been coming since they opened and at the time we were driving from Genoa. Well worth the trip! Now we're in Reno and glad we don't have to travel so far to get fresh, local food at a restaurant. I love the fact that they accommodate many different dietary restrictions as well as have a nice choice of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Gino and Juli are wonderful hosts and it shows in the service throughout the staff.
(5)Chris L.
Had lunch here twice this week since I've visited and I love it. I know that we have places like this in San Francisco, but they don't have as good of prices and portion amounts. I had the Wasabi Vegetable Bowl with Sautéed spinach, kale, and broccoli over brown rice, with wasabi dressing, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, lemon & olive oil. This was so fresh tasting, and the wasabi dressing gave it a nice kick that added to the overall flavor of the dish. I was a little hesitant not having any meat with it, but it filled me up and kept me full almost the rest of the day. I also had the Paleo Lunch Bowl with Grilled chicken on a bed of kale, onions, broccoli, mushrooms & cabbage, sautéed in organic coconut oil. Topped with salsa and the apple cider tarragon dressing. All I can say about this dish is that I need to figure out what the recipe is because I'm going to cook it at home! Its delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out. The portions are huge and you get what you pay for. And since I did take out, they had all these short little messages written on the boxes which brought a smile to my face before I even ate the food.
(5)Da Wei S.
Food was good, service? Sigh. We showed up and placed our orders and then waited 30 minutes for the food to show up. My over easy eggs came out over hard. I pointed it out to the waiter and he took it back. The plate came back with 1 over easy egg and I pointed it out that it was supposed to come with 2.... Once that was taken care of, the food was really, really good. Seriously good. But come on.... my plate should have never made it to the table. I hate pointing things to obvious that they should have been caught multiple times (the cook, the waiter, etc). Gordon Ramsey, please come whip these people into shape.
(3)Tracy M.
Soo good! We went with a group and everyone ordered something different. Everyone was totally pleased. I love the Vegan options.
(5)Vikas B.
This is an insanely great experience. Thanks yelp for sending this treasure our way. Great service too. This place is a labor of love. Too bad I live 250 miles from this place, but whenever I am in Reno, this is where I will eat.
(5)Christian M.
This place is excellent. Good food, atmosphere, prices, and great service. Biggest complaint is that there are way too many delicious things on the menu, so choosing was a bit tough. This is now my favorite place in Reno and I'll be back here each time I can whenever I am in town for business.
(4)Leah B.
This place is my favorite!! They have a bunch of vegetarian/vegan dishes and the staff is great! They aren't open on Sundays which is my only complaint but the food and atmosphere is awesome
(5)Jenn D.
I love good restaurants but am kind of limited because I drag my toddler everywhere with me. This place is awesome. Mom and toddler approved. The food was great. Just go try it. Nothing I can say will express it's yumminess. The service was super kind. Felt like they were moving fast without causing anyone to feel rushed. The owner popped by our table to check up with us. She even invited my son to color on their chalk board. Parking was easy. Great location. Dessert case was drool worthy. Will be going back.
(5)R T.
Delicious, healthy eating! Wish there were more options like this in Reno!
(5)Ernie C.
You know that feeling when your body is just screaming for something green and healthy? No? Well, then you must eat a much more balanced and healthier diet than me . . . For those who know what I'm talking about, this place hits the spot. I keep hoping for more, healthy options, with nice greens, and salad bars with items beyond the basic iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, etc. Heck, I even went to Round Table's lunch buffet the other day, mainly since I wanted some green items. (Ignore the fact I ended up eating a half-dozen slices of pizza after the large salad . . . ) In any case, the space is big - I didn't expect that, and it's a large space for a strip mall location, with high ceilings and the like. Kitchen in the back is massive as well. There's probably seating for 60+ in a mix of high and low tables, some free standing booths, etc. Back to the healthy food . . . lots of vegan options, as well as many items with paleo in the title. I ended up getting the paleo lunch (for dinner), and got grilled chicken over a bed of kale and other vegetable goodness. Oh, and an Icky to drink - didn't want to confuse my body too much with all that healthy food! The food was fantastic, and totally hit the craving I was having, and I'm looking forward to adding this restaurant to our rotation. I should point out when I say "lighter" this isn't meaning smaller portions, this is meaning lighter in terms of not being that stick-to-your-ribs kind of food. I walked out of there, without that post-meal nap desire that is oh-so-common. And it's a good thing I didn't have that feeling, since we had walked here, so I had a ~1.5 mile walk to get home . . .
(4)Carl H.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Reno! First, all of the food is amazingly delicious! Second, it's food you can feel good about. Everything is fresh, and you can really tell that they care about the quality of their food and presentation. Finally, you couldn't imagine a more positive environment to dine in. The service is outstanding!! Everything about Great Full Gardens is outstanding!!!
(5)Dalton C.
Oh, you're a vegan in Reno and no one told you they only serve artery-clogging meat dishes all over the city? Welcome to your oasis! It's a short walk from the downtown strip, which is great if you're staying in a hotel and can't find any breakfast fare that doesn't terrify you. The staff is super friendly, and they'll go out of their way to make sure you've got everything your little heart could want. The house hot sauce is unique and delicious, and they serve boozy breakfast beverages - always a plus! My rating is rounded up from a 4.5 because we went twice in 2 days and something minor went wrong both times. Now, this place was only a year old at the time, so maybe they're still working out the kinks or training new staff. Either way, it seemed like the issues were relatively trivial (though one did result in my having to wait to eat my delicious Paleo Bowl with vegan substitutions - a f*cking amazing choice if I may say so - while my comrades were wolfing down their delectable dishes) and could simply have been the result of a few crossed wires. Special recognition to both Brandon and Shannon, our servers on day one and two respectively, who did wonderful jobs making sure we were well taken care of and who brightened our days on both accounts. Looking forward to eating the majority of my meals here the next time I visit Reno.
(5)Carl E.
My family and I come here every time we visit Reno. You are paying for quality ingredients and for that reason you pay a little more than items you would find in your average chain restaurant. You can taste the difference though. If you are going to try one thing on the menu, make sure you try the tomato soup. I always have gotten sandwiches and they have never disappointed. Last time I got the sourdough grilled cheese with fresh tomato slices and pesto on the inside. There was definitely a party going on in my mouth. I also get the cole slaw for my side and it is very tasty with some nice acid and does not have the overwhelming mayo taste that brings down most cole slaws. Our kids also love the personal pizzas. If visiting Reno and want a break from the junk food or chain restaurants, definitely make a stop here.
(5)Diane E.
Love this place, great food, clean eating and super nice staff.
(5)Lany Kay M.
Delicious soups and my sandwich was great. Server was prompt and friendly. My first time there as I am visiting Reno..
(5)Robert S.
We have been watching this business prep for opening with great expectations and our expectations were met! My wife and I scooted down on opening day to see just what they had to offer. We went in about 10:45 so had to order off the breakfast menu (served until 11:30). My wife ordered the Liege Benedict and I ordered the traditional Benedict. Both were excellent. Instead of a poached egg, they were served over easy insuring a good runny yolk to mix with the hollandaise. However I would have to say that my wife's was the stand out between the two. It was served on a special waffle and had regular bacon instead of the "standard" Canadian Bacon. This is what I would consider a "signature item", something that will make you consider this place over others. Mine was quality. I personally would have liked a smaller more standard english muffin, but the ham eggs and hollandaise were perfect. The potatoes were temptingly tasty causing me to have a bit or two extra when I shouldn't have. We intentionally lingered for about 10 minutes over our Hub sourced coffee so we could get a shot at the soups, Gino the Soup man soups if you are already familiar with them. Today was Coconut, Corn and Sweet Potato Chowder and the "every day" Tomato soup selection. If you can't decide you can get a sampler for $6 for both soups! Both were very good. The CCSPC was very unique and the tomato wasn't a bisque style which was a nice change from what normally see. I did add in some of the "fire oil" that was on the table. Great addition to the tomato soup. Really made it pop but not overwhelm the dish. The atmosphere is light and open. Not your normal Midtown feel, but a refreshing change. Lots of Ambient light. Lot's of four seater tables and two seater tables. Just two booths and even a few bar height tables too. We enjoyed the coffee, and they were nice enough to bring some soy creamer for my wife, but don't know if this is a regular thing, so don't hold them to this nicety. The rest of the menu was full of important words like local, organic, vegan, gluten free, raw and even paleo! And from what I saw, this is no "vegetarian snob shop" but a real restaurant approach to good food and reasonable prices. The only negative that I perceived was the late start time for lunch. My wife disagrees with me that 11:30 is too late to start serving lunch, but I think 11:00 might be a better time to be ready to serve the lunch menu. The service was great, especially considering this was the first real day of business. They may have had some soft openings I didn't know about, but for a first real day, I was very impressed. Many of the places around town could learn how to open a business from Great Full Gardens. A few additional notes. Coke products...but also some Oogave soda products as well. Gonna have to try these next time. Gluten Free isn't just lip service here...they understand the allergy side of gluten free. Kids menu is available too.
(5)Dirty P.
The owner messaged me and they have since increased their portion size and offered me free breakfast. The chef most likely used a wrong bowl size. Thanks great full gardens you are awesome!!!!!!!! Myself and family love your food & service!
(5)Sheri P.
This place is amazing. I can't wait to eat there again. The food is so fresh and super tasty. I had a pizza with an egg on top, I was going out of the box and trying something new and it was amazing. They are super friendly too!
(4)Kristopher H.
I had the tomato soup and a gluten free turkey sandwich. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and delicious. They had such a grand selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Wonderful that they had bottles of water waiting on each of the tables and the place settings were ready to go. I liked that they served crabbies scottish ginger beer too. I'll definitely visit again when I return to reno. AAAA+++++
(5)Lisa G.
I love Great Full Gardens! Always great food and great service. I have never had something I did not enjoy. Deciding what to eat is always a challenge. Their food is what I make in my own kitchen, always with quality ingredients. Gino the Soup Guy makes the best tomato soup I have ever had. It's heaven in a bowl. They source locally whenever possible and grow their own tomatoes. Everyone should support this amazing business!
(5)Annikki C.
I love every. single. thing. about Great Full Gardens! The soups in particular are incredible (and on sale at Whole Foods)! I had a pumpkin chowder there that blew me away...The bruschetta appetizer is also fantastic, and is filling as a meal for one due to the richness of the dish. They even have an agave soda machine! I had the watermelon soda, and it was fantastic! A nice cup of chai with a shot of espresso in it is a great way to end your meal. And the staff! Wow. What a great team! I have had nothing less than a stellar experience each time I have been here. The ingredients are wonderful and the prices are reasonable, around what you'd pay at a Chili's or Olive Garden. The portions are considerably smaller than what you might get at typical American restaurant, but I think they're just the right size. I wish I could afford to eat here every day!
(5)Trinity G.
I'm so glad I found this spot. Veggie, vegan options a plenty! I've had a sandwich and now trying a bowl. This is a must stop for vegan Reno! It's busy during lunch so be prepared to wait. But worth it!
(4)Mel G.
One of our favorite places. Friendly staff, delicious healthy food!
(5)Roxane J.
Land in Reno, drive straight to Great Full gardens-eat beautiful healthy food and then head up to Lake Tahoe. This is the best vegan fare around. Hands down!
(5)Aaron M.
This is my new favorite breakfast place in Reno. Everything that I tried was excellent and I felt full afterwards yet very healthy. The staff was extremely friendly and the food quality was incredible.
(5)Doug H.
As you are walking into a place and you hear 'that sandwich was awesome' and 'that was the strangest waffle I've ever had, and loved it', you know its going to be a good lunch. The place is a box with tables, nothing fancy. But the menu is great - tons of natural and vegan choices with soups, salads, pizzas, waffles and more. All made with fresh ingredients! I had the gourmet grilled cheese on chibatta (sp?) bread with a side of quinoa salad and my friend had the turkey sandwich thing on flat-bread with slaw. Lemme tell you - I will come back for either sandwich and never look at the menu again. Both were top flippin notch. Here's the bottom line - this place is great. Food is great and service is great. The place was full when we sat at the last available table at 12:10 pm. As word spreads, expect a line! Only con - parking blows. Plan on parking on the street and hoofing it homie.
(5)Lesli V.
Space: large and open with amateurish décor, feels like eating in a warehouse or school cafeteria. Service: not so good, had to flag down servers. Food: healthy menu of very bland food Price: Inexpensive Recommendation: walk less than a block south and eat at Sup for more flavorful fare served in a nicer space.
(2)Julie S.
Quirky interior, amazing food. Veghead sandwich was soo delicious. Best chai tea laté. I'll definitely come back next time I'm town
(5)K S.
Love love loooove this place. Delicious, local, organic, healthy food!! On top of that, very affordable and ALWAYS amazing service. I'm so grateful to have this restaurant in our community. It's so nice to see so many vegan options too. I love that they are accommodating to so many different diets. Thank you guys for being awesome!
(5)Victoria R.
This place is amazing! Pros: -Delicious AND healthy -Conscious towards better animal care, ex: grass fed beef -Totally affordable, ex: had a scrumptious half turkey and pesto sandwich with chips for $5 -Spacious, could bring a crowd -Gracious servers -Decor and vibe is so cool and hippy happy -The menu is diverse so even if you aren't the healthy type, there is something for everyone! Cons: -Parking can be difficult, right off Virginia and by Wild Orchid -Doesn't look fancy on the outside, but don't judge a book by it's cover! -Apparently, they are famous for their soup but they only give you 2 options a day. That's a little disappointing.
(5)Andrea B.
This place truly cares about their food. They have a great menu with lots of variety and cater to all types of eating preferences. Nice service, fun atmosphere, good beverage selection and daily specials.

Okay, let me tell you I was in Reno for the first time in May 2013 and was stuck in some casino with friends who did not want to leave. So I ventured out and tried to find some place I can eat (I'm Vegetarian) and I was so happy to have found this place. Fast forward to October 2014, my friend George and I drove up to Reno for 2 days and we stayed real close to Great Full Gardens so we ate there quite a bit within 2 days. Let me just tell you how much I adore this place. First, off you know the place is good when its crowded and you have to wait for a table, which wasn't a long wait.... The staff is super sweet with real great energy. Not pretentious or even pushy.... They know the menu and you can tell they enjoy working here! So kudos to the powers that be, they must be nice to work for and it shows!! Keep up the good work. Anyhow, if you are vegan or vegetarian you pretty much hit the gold mine in Reno here.. they have a really cool selection of vegan dishes (and of course non-veg dishes for the fearful meateaters). They have a soup of the day and on Friday night was a Pumpkin, Sage and Hempseed soup. And let me tell you it was amazing! I had it with the Neatball sandwich an yummy take on the meatball sandwich vegan style. My friend George had a Reuben and we both shared a cauliflower Cerviche, which was partnered with some house chips. Let me tell you it was scrumptious! We also had the vegan lime coconut cheesecake, it was light and delicious. We went for breakfast twice (Friday and Sat mornings) I had the Vegan Hash, which had the soy chorizo, potatoes and broccoli, spinach medley! Yum!! George had the Huevos Pupusa, which he really liked, it was eggs over easy over a cheese pupusa with avocados and black beans, salsa and sour cream. We both had the strawberry lemonade. On Saturday morning George had the Vegan Hash, he just added black beans and mushrooms into his and I had the Juli's Breakfast Sautee, which included A sauté of brown rice, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, white beans, avocado, cucumber, cilantro and lemon oil. Divine! These kids know how to cater to my palate..... We topped it off with a Apple Chai cookie... So I have to say my Reno trips might have to come more frequent now since I know where my dining option will be!!! Great atmosphere, centrally located right off the downtown area in a cool little plaza with other cool shops and really super amazing staff... I hope this place sticks around for a long time... Note to self: Sign up for the greatful rewards card and get points and discounts. you can do it online before you visit the place and enjoy! Here is to the the next time together!! See ya soon!

This place is usually great. However, last time we went our appetizer came out with our food. The pasta special was poor and the waitress noticed we avoided it, and asked us if we liked our food. We replied that we couldn't eat the pasta and she said sorry, and left it at that. We decided we wouldn't come back unless we had a Groupon or someone else was paying.
(3)Kashaela M.
I had the wasabi bowl, it was fantastic and fresh, I definitely recommend great full gardens!!
(5)Heather S.
Absolutely loved this place! I loved the atmosphere, service and the food. The waitress was super spunky and very helpful. I had the bedazzled and it was so good I literally could have had another. I had breakfast plans for another place tomorrow- ya forget that, coming back here for sure! This time getting the liege waffle eggs Benedict. I love this place and the awesome healthy options!
(5)Yifat C.
Thank you so much GFG for excising!! Their food is so delicious and so many options for a plant based eater!! Breakfast?! Vegan wrap and Julie's breakfast to share with a side of home made hummus - I never change because it is so good! Lunch / dinner?! Everything on the menu is good - really! If you are going make sure you signed up to their reward membership - I get $10 every 3-4 visits, it is the best reward program I've seen in awhile !!

Absolutely love this place. Being vegetarian for almost 20 years in Reno has been quite the experience. Long gone are the days of Pnuematic Diner and all their microwaves. Welcome Great Full Gardens! Full menu. Perfect location. The room can get a bit noisy at peak times, but not to worry; the amazing food more than makes up for it! I have not had a bad item here.

Tried this place on recommendation from a coworker. Fantastic vegan/vegetarian options plus choices for the meat eaters as well. I had the Fake BLT made with smoked tempeh and quinoa salad, all excellent. The tomato soup looked incredible as well. All around great place in Reno.

We love this place! Half the family is vegan and this is an easy place for everyone to find something they love. I can personally recommend the vegan reuben, the neatball sandwich, the tomato soup and the apple curry soup and the vegan pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. My only 2 regrets are that we do not make it to Reno more often and that we are not able to get the soups in the LV Whole Foods - hint hint. :) Definitely our favorite restaurant in Reno and always look forward to it when we are in town. Super nice staff and fresh food - get here early to beat the rush.

There are three #1 things about Great Full Gardens but I'll start with the service. The service we had for our small table of 3 (one of whom was a 2.5 year old) was the single BEST service at a restaurant that I have EVER experienced. From the moment we were seated, there was nothing but positivity and helpfulness. A woman overheard that I was wondering what the soup of the day was and asked if I'd like to try a sample (of the tomato bisque and red lentil) - I said yes and she brought it within minutes... I still don't know who she was! A soup fairy godmother? Our server was professional and courteous - and absolutely brilliant with kids. Our daughter was interested in only one thing: guacamole. It wasn't on the menu so we started to get nervous. We happened to mention it to him and he said - no problem, we can whip her up some! And he did! And she LOVED it! I had the cauliflower ceviche (and aforementioned red lentil soup) and my husband had something amazing with bacon in it... it was gone so fast, I'm really not certain what he ordered. My daughter was having a delightful time in the restaurant and we offered her up some ice cream. She chose the vegan salted caramel and our server brought it back with three spoons. HOLY {not} COW! It was amazing. Again, the service (#1) was outstanding - the food (#2) was fresh and delicious - and the ambiance (#3) was just what we needed after a full day at the Discovery museum. We'll be back! It's as good as it gets!

Vegan lovers you have found your heaven! Well maybe vegetarian lovers alike. Let's be honest here there are not a lot of options out there in the world for vegetarians at restaurants these days. So when I see places like grateful gardens open up really make me happy. Now some places have vegan dishes or vegetarian concoctions, but the variety is few and far between. The most common argument I get when talking to meat eaters is there are lack of choices and the flavour is boring. You're often stuck with a flavourless salad or uninspiring sandwich. So when I see restaurants such as this vegetarian friendly, it gives a little hope. Like the vegan Reuben and the barbecue sandwich. Transition you to meet heaters. Along with that they tasted great! My dad's even had a vegetarian bacon omelette and really liked it. Most of the breakfast options were great in fact. I had something like Soyrizo scramble and my mom went for a spinach and potatoes sort of dish. Now don't it wrong there are also your dishes on the menu and it looks pretty good as well. No one at the table Trivenco so I can really attest to that. With all the other options I have to go with something else at the chance. Must try in Reno in my opinion.

As good as it gets! If you are looking for light, healthy, filling options this place is great. My mom and I come a couple times a month to have dinner and catch up so I have had a chance to try quite a few things, all of which have been fresh and delicious. A few of my favorites are the Pizza Alla Bizmark, the Chicken Bliss sandwich, the Veghead sandwich (try it on the 9-grain ciabatta, trust me), and Juli's Brown Rice Bowl. We also tried two new things on the last visit: the cauliflower civiche and the paella, both were a total home run! They also serve beer and wine, with a couple of local beers on tap. The service has always been helpful, efficient and friendly (and slightly "Reno quirky.") The interior is pretty basic so while the food is top of the line, the vibe is mix and match salt and pepper shakers/fill-your-own mason jars with water/say hi to your neighbor tables/etc. Really, I just feel that this is a consistently comfortable place to come and have a healthy meal. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards club while you're there too, I regularly get e-mails for five or ten dollars off my next meal. My best advice is try it for yourself!

Absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful. The service is great they always have a smile on their face.

Wow liege waffles. Amazing. I've had them once from a food truck in San francisco and haven't been able to get them again. This place makes it 100 times better! If it's your first time here, get the Liege Waffles!! Pearl sugar waffles from Belgium... I got the Benedict Liege Waffles, and bf got the Apple Blue Cheese one. Both are so good, but my fave was the Benedict one. You don't even need maple syrup. Honestly. And the staff is the friendliest! We came here Christmas Eve. The staff was so on top of of making sure we were taken care of, they are super friendly, funny and thoughtful. Reno's got good food, and this is a great place to start!
(5)Sara B.
I am updating my review. This place is too good to give a low rating on. It's still hard to come pick up food, but I can pull up at the curb in front and run in making it much easier.
(4)Kayla B.
I come to Reno at least once a month. A few months back, one of my best friends took me here. She has a strict diet for health reasons and I just like to eat healthy and have mainly a vegetarian diet, so this was a place we could both eat at and have barely any limitations. My favorite plate is the grilled cheese. I also love the quinoa salad as a side. The first time I went there, I tried the vegan root beer float which was AWESOME. I was in heaven! The time after (last month), I had a chai tea latte and (I know I shouldn't have been surprised by this) they were able to make it with almond milk! That by itself is huge for me. My friend and I alwaysssss go to Great Full Gardens when I'm in town... It's starting to become a tradition of ours. I always look forward to it!
(5)Keith S.
Love it here. Food is fresh and organic. Everything tastes great and the staff is really friendly. Whenever we're in Reno, we make it a point to visit for breakfast or lunch.

The reviews are right on point and their well deserving of their high score. I've been a huge fan since they opened and I'm so thrilled to see how successful and busy they are every time I come in. If you're passing through and you're vegan, the FLTA and the Neatball are amazing. They're a little pricey, but worth it for the occasional indulgence. Their reward program is actually really decent. Their raw desserts, I'm not a fan of, but I've noticed GG does a really good job of removing what doesn't work from their menu and are constantly tweaking things. Great place. If you're looking for a quick bite, try to avoid the lunch hour 12ish-2ish. They're always packed and parking could be difficult to find.
(5)Qing L.
I can tell this is a restaurant for conscious eater, Great discovery for Reno area. Service is very good, nice people and the food there is attempting. The reason I didn't give 5 star is last time when I was there, I had a raw salad bowl and I don't know why the raw broccoli was so bitter and not so fresh.
(4)Leslie T.
I've eaten at this place for lunch a few times now and can't believe I forgot to YELP about it! This last time I had lunch, I had one of their Liege waffles - the Funkytown - and it was pretty damn good! Small, but really damn good! (Funkytown = warm apples, blue cheese crumbles, local honey, and cinnamon) I have also had a half tuna melt sando, (with their pumpkin soup - they are known for their soups, btw) which was really amazing, no lie...and I love love love their El Salvador Pupusas! Always attentive and warm/friendly service and always busy! I also appreciate that Gino, the owner, sources his food locally
(4)Anon Y.
The best restaurant in Reno. The healthiest options for for cooked food are provided here for pescetarians, vegetarians, vegans, etc. The price is very reasonable and the drinks are incredible too! Service was premium and so friendly. Please eat here and support quality food!
(5)Lyric A.
My mother took me here because I'm Paleo. She thought it would be perfect for me since they have Paleo menu item. It left much to be desired since there was limited Paleo-friendly protein offered. Would it kill them to offer some decent beef? The whole point of Paleo is to consume protein as a major source of caloric intake. The menu is more on the Vegan/Vegetarian side of things, rather than Paleo... which is great if that's your thing.
(3)Kristopher S.
I took my mom to lunch here last time I was in town. The food was delicious, but I bit into a hard pea-size piece of plastic while eating my salad. The server apologized and checked with the kitchen to find that a piece of cooking equipment had been inadvertently sliced into my food. The server checked with his manager and offered me half off my salad, a sad gesture considering I almost broke a tooth!
(1)Katelyn P.
Great place for brunch! I'm impressed with the variety of the menu, lots of healthy and unique options. The create-your-own fritata option is brilliant, I can get exactly what I'm craving on any particular day. My husband got their famous liege waffles and they were flavorful and decadent. The coffee was tasty (no boring, stale diner coffee here!). Service was quick and friendly, atmosphere was airy and bright, food was fresh and delicious!
(4)Chelsea T.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Went there last night and wow, what a great experience. First off, great lighting. It was crowded (makes sense) but our little table for two was just intimate enough. We couldn't decide what to get because the menu is very extensive and everything looked delicious so we asked Omar, one of the workers, to give us some suggestions. He was awesome, super honest and so kind. He kept coming back to check on us and help us decide :P Our server was excellent too, short orange hair. Anyway, our food was perfect, magical mushroom and barley, so good. Veg head sandwich with rye bread and horseradish cheese, thought it might be odd with all our changes but it was to die for. Loved the pesto Aoli, mm! Julis Power bowl was also oh so good. You cant go wrong here. OH and we highly recomend the Apple Chai cookie, heated, over vanilla coconut bliss ice cream :) Our whole bill was $33 and we left stuffed and happy with leftovers! THANK YOU FOR EXISTING GRATEFUL GARDENS! We will be back!!
(5)Katherine B.
I can be a really picky eater, but when I come here, I literally want everything on the menu. Not only is it healthy, but it's all delicious. Parking can be a little dicey and no joke, I've skipped coming here at times because of the intimidating lack of parking spaces. The actual decor of the restaurant is nothing special, but that's because they're saving the special sauce for all of the food, which is all organic. The last time I was here I tried the El Salvador Pupusa, which is a corn tortilla with grilled chicken, avocado, and cheese. The flavors were amazing and it was the perfect size for lunch, plus I felt like I was actually nourishing my body, and not killing it with a vat of cheese fries like I usually want to. This is a great restaurant to bring your obnoxious paleo friends who love Crossfit to, or just your regular friends you want to enjoy a meal with. Just skip out during peak lunch and dinner hours or you'll be waiting a bit!
(4)Al K.
I will preface this with I have so many food allergies that when I find a restaurant that markets gluten free and vegan I'm all over it! But this place truly tops the cake and is awesome for me and my husband too who can eat anything and everything. It has gluten free and vegan options or a standard American fare too if you're craving a hearty breakfast. The service both times coming here was great and they servers catered to my requests and dietary needs. They also have beer and wine for brunch options or they're open into the dinner hours. Plus a bakery on site with sweets of gluten free vegan as well or a more traditional sweet tooth assortment. The topper to everything.....? An almond milk latte with cinnamon to go! Definitely a must eat!
(5)Aaron W.
Had lunch here today and I have to say the food was excellent and the service extremely friendly.
(5)Ciera B.
Wonderful food! I couldn't stop eating! I got the paleo bowl and the pumpkin cookie a la mode. This was the first time I've been here, can't wait to come back!
(5)Trista B.
Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed this restaurant. I had been told by friends to try it, so we did and let me say I wasn't disappointed in any way. The service was very attentive and nice(younger guy with dreads). The food was definitely the best part! I got the BLTA with cheese and my boyfriend got the burger with cheese, both were great! Everything was so fresh and the bacon on mine was some of the best bacon I've ever had. We even enjoyed the chips that came on the side. They serve Hub coffee which is wonderful that they serve a local coffee! Which is also some of the best coffee I've had too :) So overall as you can tell we enjoyed this place tremendously, great service, great atmosphere and great food!!! Oh!! And they have paper napkins!! That's a pet peeve of mine, all these nice restaurants serve sandwiches and burgers but don't have paper napkins, well this place does!! You can still keep it classy and be able to accurately wipe your face off at the same time! Lol
(5)Chris O.
My favorite restaurant in Reno! They focus on fresh, local, and organic ingredients and the effort shines through in the flavor! There are many available choices to vegan, paleo, and gluten-free diets. As a vegan, I love that I have a variety of tasty meals to choose from while my non-vegetarian friends can easily get something good too. The staff is always amazing! They are very knowledgeable of the menu and always do what they can to make sure you have a great experience. The wait can be long, as it is always busy, but the food is definitely worth the wait!
(5)Donovan A.
Great staff, great food, great portions, great prices! My wife and I are in Reno quite often but usually skip dining because of the lack of good, nutritional food. Last week while spending a long day in Reno, decided search the area to have lunch and so happened to end up at Great Full Gardens. I give this place 5 stars because they were genuine in what they had to offer. Our waitress Amanda was very sweet and tentative to our table. She was quick and efficient in the way she operated and checked up on us regularly. The food was fresh and hot when it came to the table as well was the coffee delish. Great menu selections and a wide variety of healthy options for carnivores, vegetarians, and vegan alike. Loved that they used as much local resources as possible to make their food so delightful. The restaurant itself was very welcoming and it definitely helped that they were showing The Art of Flight on the TV (EPiiiiiC)!!!. We'll definitely be coming here much more often!
(5)Chris S.
Gluten free bread choices Fresh squeezed oj-so good Excellent tomato soup The Elvis waffle is awesome
(5)Jeff H.
Incredible food. I especially love the FLTA it would satisfy anyone, vegan or not. Awesome soup--one of my favorite restaurants with many excellent vegan choices.
(5)Ron O.
I understand that they charge a little bit more because it's a "healthy" type of food-joint. However, it is still a bit over-priced for my tastes (a.k.a budget.) That being said, I can't really knock them for having their own niche. The food was overall pretty good, however the portions were a bit small. I would come back though.
(3)Shelby P.
Alright, I've got to change my review of this place. I've revisited it a couple of times, and I have to say their service is amazing now, and they've smoothed out the kinks when it comes to ordering vegan food! I called ahead today to make sure I ordered the breakfast food before 11:30, but I still wanted to dine in. They were more than happy to accommodate. My new favorite dish here is a vegan Reuben. Awesome job guys! I'm glad I can finally love this place.
(4)Brandi K.
salmon salad was no good. salmon was dry on the edges, lettuce mix had that stale lettuce taste and was wilted as were the tomatoes, also was just not anything better than what ive seen at a fast food restaurant.definitely not worth $16. ive heard the other food is good but last couple times ive been, it was not great.
(1)Conor D.
As a vegan, I hate to give any place that caters to us plant based rabbits a bad review, but this place simply didn't come through on the goods. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is great, the service excellent, coffee superb, but the food was boring and I left hungry. Not to mention my wife was given a dish with lots of sand in it, which made it uneatable. They discounted the dish, but we felt bummed out and hungry. Going to try them again for lunch as I really want to like this place. UPDATED REVIEW: Came back for lunch to give it another try and was pleased to see so much vegan options on the lunch menu. And it was all really good. I ordered the fackin bacon sandwich and my wife order the vegan bbq sandwich. Both were really good and came with a side of really tasty quinoa salad. Also enjoyed the vegan rootbeer float. I'll definitely be coming back for lunch and dinner! Well done Great Full Gardens.
(4)Spanky D.
Open air dining room and happy servers help this new restaurant serve consistently enjoyable and flavorful "healthy" eats. Big fan of their tomato soup and special waffles. Don't like that the only meatball they serve is vegan. It's not a meatball without meat! Moving on.... I suggest you join their frequent diner club, which is free, big savings across the board. Great addition to midtown with a big enough menu to please carnivores and vegans.
(4)Christine K.
Came to Reno to visit family. My son is a vegetarian and so we yelped and great full came up. Yelp did not steer us wrong! Great place for vegans and meat eaters. I had the Pupusa it was amazing. My only complaint is they should bring ice to the table for the water, but everything else was amazing!
(4)Azucena R.
YUM! I came here last Thursday with the boyfriend on our way out of Reno. So glad we stopped by! It's a great place with great food. Our waiter was super nice. I couldn't decide between two different meals, but he recommended the salmon with a salad (Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Salad). And I'm very glad he did! It was delicious and perfectly cooked. The cucumbers were crunchy and flavorful. The other veggies were fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the Terrific Turkey pesto sandwich and he loved it. He said it was filling. I also had a chai latte to go. It was the BEST chai latte I've ever had! No joke. Try it with almond milk and you can thank me later ;) I was impressed that they carried my favorite type of coconut water (Taste Nirvana...the green one that's packaged in a glass bottle). It's one of the only bottled coconut water out there that isn't made from concentrate. Honestly, there are so many good things to say about this place. Everything on the menu is organic and local. The meat is grass fed organic (a must IMO). And even the water is filtered. You locals are lucky! Thanks Great Full Gardens, for a perfect lunch :)
(5)Dave D.
This is a perfect combination that appeals to all people while having that fringe customer appeal. Uniqueness is tastefully awesome but, not overdone. The meals that I've had were adventures in culinary excellence. The idea of combining a vegan pizza with an egg is not new but, has a great balance of flavor and texture. The freshness is noticed instantly by the rich flavor and vibrant color. The atmosphere is energetic and positive. The staff are easy going knowledgeable and attentive.
(5)Robyn S.
My boyfriend and I stopped here before heading back home to LA after a few friends recommended we stop here and telling me there was a pet friendly outside patio. The owner was the first person to great us and even offered to bring a bowl of water out for my dog. Everything on the breakfast menu sounded delicious and we finally settled on the pana-cake (gluten free) ans the fruit omelet. Wow! Best GF pancake I've ever had and the fruit omelet was to die for. We will definitely be trying to recreate these at home, but only because a 9 hour drive is a bit far to go for breakfast. Our next visit to Reno, we will be back!
(5)Jodie S.
What a lovely little gem! I have been to Great Full Gardens on several occasions and it never upsets! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is inviting. I have ordered the Pizza alla Bismark, the Wasabi Bowel, and several others. Each was amazing! I would say that my favorite by far is the pizza with the egg on top! Holy cow was that a burst of flavors in my mouth! The Wasabi Bowel was full of chicken, kale, spinach, avocado, brown rice. I ordered the Wasabi on the side and together it was the perfect combination. My husband ordered one of the waffles and I was able sneak a wonderful bit. The only downfall is the size. It was pretty small. My mother-in-law got a turkey sandwich with pesto. Now that was super! I think my favorite was the side of quinoa salad. I kept stealing bites off of her place trying to be sneaky. That did not work out so well for me. =o) The waitress was very sweet and prompt. I cannot get over all the options are all on the healthier side which is so regressing in a restaurant. We were seated immediately and was not long before we received our food. It was such a great experience.
(5)Paul S.
I have eaten here twice and I was thoroughly impressed each time. My first visit was for breakfast. I tried the Huevos Pupusa which was excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty. My second visit was on a chilly evening so I had the Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a cup of Totally Tomato Soup. The sandwich features four cheeses and heirloom tomatoes on Truckee sourdough. I'm a grilled cheese fan and this was one of the best I have tasted. I'm not always a huge soup fan but it was highly recommended by the other members of my party and it did not disappoint. Is was very flavorful with big chunks of tomato. It was the perfect compliment to the sandwich.

After hearing about some of the yummy items that they have to offer, I decided to try this place for lunch. They were really busy, partly because it is cold outside and no one is taking advantage of the outdoor seating. Decor is simple, with a white tablecloth and carafe of water at the table (room temp). At the suggestion of a coworker, I ordered the salmon roll ups and a half order of grilled cheese. My meal arrived promptly despite the lunch crowd and I started in on the roll ups. I really wanted to like this dish, and it doesn't come down to the way it's prepared, or lacking in the ingredients used - it's just that I didn't like the big hunks of raw onion in it, and I thought that there were too many capers in the dish. That was completely smoothed over by the half order of grilled cheese I got, with several different types of cheese, crusty bread with avocado aioli and a slice of grilled tomato in it. Yum! My sandwich came with a slice of dill pickle and a portion of coleslaw, also which was good. The price tag was hefty- at $22 for lunch, but then again, I did order two items. I'd like to be back because the atmosphere seems nice, the patrons seem happy, and it was kid friendly (I saw coloring sheets being handed out with crayons), but the price tag on most of the items means that this will be a special treat only every once in awhile.
(4)Stacy W.
If you're looking for a delicious, hearty and heathy meal this is the place to go! They offer a variety of food and have a great selection of desserts. Staff is willing to assist with any and all questions and make accommodations for dietary needs. Great food, great atmosphere, great service! You won't regret your experience here.

Four of us were visiting in Reno and we had planned to visit this cafe. Needless to say it was terrific! The food was excellent (all four of us had a great breakfast). Don't remember what we had, but doesn't matter, because it all looked as great as it tasted. And freshness that can't be beat. The morning service was very good also. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner Gino. Extremely friendly and a reflection of why this cafe does so well. Now if he will only open a GFG Cafe in the Roseville, CA area. To take this review a step further we asked Gino for a dinner recommendation and he, of course, recommended we come back to the cafe for dinner. He also mentioned a few other places. Of course we couldn't think of not coming back after viewing the dinner menu and specials. I am a BIG fan of Chilean Sea Bass and it is rare to even find it on a seafood restaurant menu. Great Full Gardens had it and it was nothing short of great. The three other meals at the table were also excellent. Again, it really matters not what you order, I can't imagine it not falling on a five star experience. The service, or I should say the server, in the evening was not on her game, but that did not spoil the experience of the food. It is a cafe atmosphere, nothing fancy, so don't dress up. Show up early or expect to wait. Saturday evening, 5:30 we walked right in to be seated, but by 6, there was a short wait. WAIT! It's worth. It will be even more worth it if Gino opens a cafe anywhere in Roseville, CA. Yes, I will also send them email through their website, until he is sick of me asking.

Had a chicken salad that hit the spot perfectly! friendly staff :)
(5)Mesquite L.
A very, healthy organic restaurant with lots of seating (outdoor too). Friendly staff and great service
(5)Catherine S.
Can't say enough good things about Great Full Gardens! The sea bass is consistently fresh and fabulous - last week served atop broccoli with a side of quinoa drizzled with blueberry sauce. The diners next to us, after seeing our plates, ordered the very same thing. All were happy! Also must give a shout out to the staff. Everyone is welcoming and the service is always fast and friendly. Love this place!!
(5)Trisha O.
Quite literally, Great Full Gardens would actually make me move to Reno... And that's a hard thing to say since I moved away about 11 years ago and only come back to visit my parents. This restaurant gives me hope that Reno is turning around and will actually have an interesting counter culture. I eat meat very rarely and eggs, but not dairy or gluten. I've had many things on the menu and they have never disappointed. My favorites are the Facon, tomato and avocado sandwich with quinoa side. Favorite soup is split pea or the coconut, sweet potato and corn chowder. We take Gino's soups to go and have them about 3 times a week at home. Divine. They've recently started to get more raw desserts coming in- definitely try them out even if you don't tend to like raw creations, because the secret is that the desserts are the best part about going raw!
(5)Devin S.
I have been to Great Full Gardens many times since my last review and it is always good. It is always busy, but the wait is never long. The food is amazing as it is fresh and as healthy as you can get. The service is always great and we never have a bad experience. If you have not made it out, I would highly recommend it!
(5)Heather U.
What a treasure!!! This place is completely amazing! We were driving through Reno and needed to grab a quick lunch, thankfully I took the advice of my fellow yelpers and headed to the Garden. The decor is very comfortable casual, the staff is friendly and helpful (thank you Russell) and the food is delicious. They have an amazing selection of gluten free items, including pancakes in the morning, gluten free bread and rolls for lunch sandwiches, gluten free pasta on their dinner menu, AND omg.... Gluten free cookies and treats that are to die for. I'm gonna be dreaming about their chocolate chip almond butter cookies for quite a while! They even warmed it up slightly so it was all hot and gooey and melty yummness... Okay, I'm making myself drool just thinking about it... I haven't even mentioned the sandwiches... I had the Reuben with coleslaw and sweety had the turkey pesto with quinoa salad... Both of the sandwiches were fresh and delicious..... I usually don't like quinoa ... but ended up snitching part of hers cause it was so light and fluffy! Neither of us could finish our sandwiches (if we had, there's no way we would have had room for the cookie... Duh. Priorities.) Trust me. Leave room for dessert even if you have to take your sandwich to go!! While we were there, the staff was also testing out a gluten free lemon bar recipe... we chatted our way into getting a free sample and it was heaven. Hopefully it will be a regular in their dessert case soon!

Thought I would try this new restaurant in mid-town. If you like Vegan you will love this place. I couldn't believe how busy it was! Pros: The service is excellent. The atmosphere is loud, but not in a bad way. The food was okay (my daughter said hers was outstanding) for me, but I'm not a Vegan fan. Cons: The menu is somewhat limited if you're not a Vegan fan. The food wasn't bad, just a little plain. If you've ever been to Portland then you'll have a good idea of what they are doing with mid-town in Reno. The food, in general, is very "clean" which isn't a bad thing. My only real minus for the area is they are pricey for what they are serving.
(3)Dan K.
I never expected to find such great food around Reno, and this is a perfect example. There are quite a few little breakfast places around this area, but this one has plenty of seating AND parking. We actually were trying to go to a place close by, but the street parking was redic. I love the philosophy of this place, they grow a lot of their own produce, they cater to all kinds of diets, the staff are beaming with happiness, and the place has so much character. An example of this is the salt and pepper shakers, each table has a completely different fun set. We were here for breakfast, but their regular menu looks awesome too. I had to try the Leige waffles, not usually a sweet-for-breakfast kinda person but I wanted to try something new. I'm glad I did, because they were delectable. A little denser, a little sweet, and worth the try. My girfriend, got the paleo breakfast and i gave it a try too. Super fresh and tasty. Reno is almost worth coming to just for this place and others like it.

We kept driving by this place and never got around to trying it out until the other day. Boy, have we been missing out! It's what we've really missed while living in Reno. Fresh, flavorful food that just genuinely tastes like it is made of real food! Lots of options, even for vegan, gluten-free, etc and they try to get a lot of their supplies locally so it's good even for slow food peeps or localvores. Food took a while to arrive, which is good in my eyes, it means it is actually freshly prepared. The wait staff was great, and our waiter a sweetheart. There are lots of little considerate touches and the place is simple but relaxing. My boyfriend and I both loved the food. Even though he usually only eats the junkiest of foods and candy, the food was so good he even loved it even though it had vegetables. My salmon was perfection and had a wonderful white sauce. The roasted leek and potato soup was so good! The tomato soup was so thick it almost seemed like tomato sauce and it tasted like summer. The salad was good and fresh and not the pitiful iceberg you often find. It was all perfect and just the right amount. We had ordered an extra salad and soup, so we ended up with more food than we could eat, but it would have been just right otherwise. We will definitely be going back, though probably not often since it was a little out of our budget. Fresh food costs more, so their pricing isn't too much for what you're getting, but it's just over what we can normally afford. It is worth it.

I had a half Pilgrim sandwich on ciabatta to go with quinoa salad - excellent sandwich!! Thank you Greatfull Gardens for offering 1/2 sandwiches! I will definitely return! The staff was very attentive too and everyone smiled - what a nice place to have lunch - I aim to sit down next time to enjoy a meal instead of having to take it to go.

HOORAY for liege waffles!! BF and I had them for the first time in SLC on a cross-country road trip and have been in search of them ever since. Great Full Garden's version did not disappoint. Thick, crunchy, chewy...just wonderful! I had the Grazie, which had vanilla yogurt, bananas, sunflower seeds, and a very meager sprinkling of coconut that was pretty pointless. Still delicious, though! Boyfriend had eggs and potatoes - standard, nothing extraordinary - and a cup of their "famous" tomato soup from some dude who makes a lot of soup...or something. It was almost as good as they advertise. It tastes kind of like pizza sauce, which is great by me. I wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time!

Delicious, healthy, fresh food option. This place is great. We had split the liege waffle Benedict and it was so good that I regretted agreeing to share it with my husband. I will definitely be back.

I've gone a few times and each time I'm left satiated. This last cost I ordered the salmon wrap ups and my friend ordered a half B.L.T sandwich. We also enjoyed a delicious brownie! The food was flavorful and delicious. The prices reflect what you're buying, good and healthy food. You know it's healthy because there is a section in the menu where they take pride in picking the freshest ingredients. The service was superb as well. They were very attentive and were also knowledgeable about the Menu. If Sophie is working try to snag a table in her section!

This place is absolutely amazing!!!!! The food is to die for -- seriously everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, and delicious! It can get very crowded here and the wait can be long, but it's worth it. All of the servers and the owners are wonderful, friendly, caring people. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
(5)Gary M.
Nice spot for lunch, haven't tried them for other meals. Great sandwiches (if a bit pricey) and salads. At first look I thought my roast beef sandwich was a bit small, but I found myself very full by the end. They really pack on the ingredients. The cole slaw and the quinoa salad were great, and the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwich) on naan bread was one of the tastiest things I've ever tried. Good ingredients and great flavors all around, not drowned out by sauces or condiments. Side note - if you are looking for special menus (gluten free, pale, vegan) they have a ton of selections.
(5)Shelby B.
I am a fan of this new place. My group split the delicious hummus tray. I had a half veggie sandwich. It was so flavorful and filling. I really wish I got the full sandwich, not because it wasn't enough to eat, but just because it was so good! My friends each got one of the health "bowls" they offer, and they both said they loved them. The beer choices aren't bad, but I don't like that all you have for water is a luke warm bottle waiting at your table when you sit down. The service was pretty good. I sat at the table waiting for my friends and was never once approached until a couple minutes after my friends got there. Towards the end of the meal our waitress was more attentive. This restaurant is doing a lot, if not close to everything right, check it out! Oh- quick tip: don't park at the stip club, you'll get towed! stick to the small parking lot and street parking.

I am not vegan, but I have many friends who are and know that to food can be very flavorful. The food here was kind of blah-lacking flavor. Also, they're not exclusively vegan or vegetarian, so if that's a concern be aware that meat is on the premises. Overall, it's an edible option when so few vegan options exist in Reno.

Pretty new to the area and I love checking out new places. One place I've found that's fantastic is Batch Cupcakes, which is in the same plaza. Today I decided to stick my head in Great Full Gardens and see if they had any pre-made lunch options to grab and go. I walked in and immediately saw what looked to be a hostess table to the right. The girl was standing and talking to another staff member. She asked what I needed help with and i asked if there was fresh food to go. She stopped me and replied, "The counter is over there, you go up to it and you order, that's how it works." And then she returned to her conversation. I just walked out and didn't bother to look around inside. Seemed like a really neat place, but it's unfortunate when the front line can turn you off so quickly by acting condescending.
(3)Greg C.
Wow! Tasty vegan for me and grass fed burgers for the kids. Love the Gino all vegan soups that are so tasty you can't believe it is healthy too. Feeding my body and my taste. Couldn't get any better. Even agave soda for the kids. :)
(5)Sophie M.
OK I have to start by saying I am a vegetarian, so of course I am excited to have a restaurant choice that is so veggie friendly. That being said it is also nice to go out to eat in a place that offers options for ALL kinds of eaters. This is now my go to place for lunch or dinner. Their "wasabi bowl" is one of my favorite options as well as their vegan sandwich choices. Sandwiches are served with a choice of quinoa salad, slaw, or chips. You can't go wrong with any of the sides. For the meat eaters there is a BLT, pizza, Salads with choice of meat or salmon, and daily seafood specials (just to name a few). GG's staff is always friendly and will do as much as they possibly can to serve all dietary needs. They are almost always busy so be prepared to wait if you are in prime hours of lunch or dinner. But trust me the wait is worth it!
(5)Todd S.
Huge selection of healthy options... Usually get food to go but when I've dined in the service has always been great. Recommend the wasabi bowl!
(5)Ashley G.
This place is amazing! I have been here three times and each time the food has been better than the last. I love that they cater to many different diets here - vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and paleo! Plus most of their ingredients are local and organic. The menu is diverse and there really is something for everyone here, no matter your preferences. I have tried the paleo breakfast bowl, gluten free pizza, and many of their daily soups. Everything is awesome! Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is casual. This place gets packed during peak breakfast and lunch hours, so make sure to get there early if you'd like to be seated right away. Definitely worth checking this place out! I wish there were more places in Reno like this. Definitely a new favorite :)
(5)Alyssa S.
It's one of those hipster places where they serve room temperature water---BUT, if you get past that, it's wonderful! I went there for the first time today and I am thoroughly impressed. I got there right at lunch time, so there was a bit of a wait, but once we were seated the service was quick! I ordered the tuna melt with quinoa salad and it was to die for!! I will definitely be going back soon! It is also relatively inexpensive for the type of sit-down service you receive! Gold star!
(5)Marika D.
This place rocks! They are so nice and so is the food. It is the only place I know I can go and feel comfortable that they care about the origins of the meat they get. I was so "grateful" to have been able to ask them where they got their chicken and received such a wholesome response. The waffles are fantastic as everything else I have tried.
(5)Eric N.
Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup with a side of quinoa salad. You can even have the grilled cheese gluten free. Great selection of raw and vegan desserts.
(5)Sean M.
Conscious about where your food options? This is one of the growing number of places in town that truly is farm to table. You walk in and you imagine you're in a busier version of a countryside inn where everything on the menu is grown or produced outside in the garden. I've been twice and the colors, aromas and flavors of each plate of food brings a smile as your body agrees with the freshness and quality. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I look forward to many return trips.
(4)Kendy L.
Pretty much everything on the menu was super healthy and delicious. Lots of vegan options. Friendly staff too.

Let me put this in perspective for you: I have two midterms in the next 24 hours, and the only thing I should be doing right now is studying. Instead, I'm about to write a review on Great Full Gardens because I felt so compelled to shout from the rooftops about them. Given that I can't access my roof, this is the next best thing. I've been to Great Full Gardens twice now: once where I dined in the restaurant itself, and today where I got it to go. Both times have been so enjoyable that I'm shocked it isn't illegal. The first time I went, I got their BBQ pulled pork sandwich. At the time (about six months ago), I said it was the best pulled pork sandwich I'd ever had. Today, that still stands true. It was the. best. pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Considering that we have the "Best in the West" cookoff in Sparks every year, that is saying something. I had their quinoa salad at the time. I wasn't a fan of it but that's only because they put cilantro in it. This isn't a fault of theirs, it's a fault of my own taste buds. Aside from the cilantro, it was delicious. Today, I ordered a half Beautiful BLTA with a cup of their Totally Tomato soup to go with their home made chips. Holy. Sweet. God. Think of the best BLTA you've ever had, and then go get this because it's better in every way. The BLTA is served on toasted naan (are you kidding me?! Naan is superior in EVERY WAY to any other type of bread! Why doesn't EVERYONE do this?!), and it's served with real, actual, thick bacon. Many restaurants you go to serve a disgusting, paper-thin strip of "Bar-S" bacon. Not at Great Full Gardens. The avocado was like a creamy, rich, velvety-smooth cloud of unicorn glitter. Plus, the tomato, lettuce, and whatever sauce they put on it turn it from perfect into "Seriously, it can't be *this* good. I'm overreacting. Or I'm dreaming." I haven't even gotten to the soup or the chips yet. The soup is...for lack of a better word, insane. It's like a marinara sauce but way better in every way. It's slightly sweet, slightly acidic (from the tomatoes), creamy from the almond milk, and spiced perfectly with basil and other spices. It has large chunks of tomatoes in it. I can't describe it to you - you just have to go get it yourself. You can thank me later. The chips are equally delicious. They look "healthy" (i.e. "multigrain"), and they probably are, but they don't have that "healthy" taste. They're perfectly salted, they have a perfect thickness and crunch, and they're fantastic. I would buy these in a 10 gallon bag for snacks if I could. Finally, there's the staff. Charm and personality don't seem to quite cut it when describing them. When I walked in, a girl greeted me with a smile and when I told her I had a pickup, she told me exactly where to go. When I got there, I was immediately helped by a gentleman who got me in and out in less than a minute. The best part? My box had "May the force be with you" written on it and the gentleman who helped me said the same thing. I didn't know why he said it to me until I read the box in the car. I love quirky people, and I love Great Full Gardens. I paid just over $9 for one of the best meals I've ever had. I mean that - it's truly that good. I'm full, I'm satisfied, I'm incredibly happy, and instead of studying, I'm reliving the absurdly good meal I just had. It's the simple pleasures in life that matter, and Great Full Gardens is certainly one of them. TL;DR Great Full Gardens is so good, it should be illegal.

This is a nice place for healthy food options. The price is maybe a tad more expensive than other places but the price shows up i the quality of the food. For my meal I got The BOMB salad and a half pastrami Reuben. I liked the salad but it didn't blow me away. The hummus is a key ingredient but it was mostly kind of meh. One complaint: The black olives didn't taste fresh. Note to Great Full Gardens chef: Smart & Final carries First Street brand black olives that taste fresh and taste good. The general make up of the salad tells me I'll probably like some of the other salads. The sandwich was good, with good quality pastrami and bread. I ordered a natural soda and thought maybe I had something to complain about when the head on the soda settled down. I took a picture of it. The glass was only about three-quarters full. Turns out they give free refills, so that was a non-issue. I do have one other complaint. The three holes on the pepper shaker were so tiny almost no pepper came out. I kept checking to make sure the shaker had pepper and I could see through the clear plastic cap on the bottom that was was pepper in there, but I did a whole lotta shaking and got almost no pepper my salad. I think functionality should trump aesthetics in this case. Please get some shakers that allow the pepper to flow. I took a picture of the offending pepper shaker as well. I look forward to returning to Great Full Gardens and exploring the menu.

This place has a great menu with lots of tasty options for people of any dietary preference (vegan, paleo, omnivore). The dishes we had were very thoughtfully prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients, at a reasonable price. Go there!

Another terrific visit to GreatFull Gardens! They have a fabulous new dinner menu with terrific vegan pasta offerings - I tried a creamy mushroom dish that was amazing. My kids love the pizzas and my husband enjoyed another bowl of tomato soup with a pesto grilled cheese sandwich.

I thought coming to Reno was going to be hell when It came to food for me. Being vegan I often find it hard to eat anywhere, because I cannot eat anything on the menu. This was not the case here! The vegan options are out if this world delicious!!! The vegan Ruben is my favorite with a side of delicious creamy, light, coleslaw; the ingredients are so fresh and not at all greasy or oily, like a lot of veggie food often is. The best part-- omnivores will love this place too! Win-win for both you and your meat eating pals.
(4)J G.
Love this little cafe! We come here whenever we are in town. Vegan breakfast wrap/burrito is great, and so is the soyrizo broccoli tofu scramble, and the service is always with a smile :) They also offer almond milk hot chocolate! YUM!!
(5)Corinna H.
AMAZING OWNERS, AMAZING FOOD This has become our favorite restaurant in Reno. The people running the restaurant--Gino, Julie, and Cindy are warm, effusive, embracing and positive. They make the experience one of love and positive energy. The food is fantastic. The vegan bruschetta is delicious. The vegan coleslaw is the best I have ever had. They have a white chocolate, vegan raw cake that is truly outstanding. The prices are reasonable and to make things even better, they have a rewards program whereby you get a 10 dollar reward for joining, a 10 dollar birthday reward, a 5 dollar anniversary, and then for each 100 dollars, a 10 dollar reward. As a vegan, I have been thrilled with the food. Also, if you have vegetarian or omnivore friends or family, they will be satisfied as well. Overall, a welcome and terrific addition to Reno and to our culinary experience.

So excited to find a healthy paleo friendly place to eat. The chicken paleo Bowl was not only delicious, I left with leftovers! Yay! The tomato Soup is super tasty and the paleo friendly cake was nothing short of amazing. Will definitely be back soon!

What a great breakfast at Great Full Gardens! We started out by sharing a Liege waffle. My wife, who lived in Belgium for a year says its the closest thing she's had stateside to the real thing. Once I saw the fruit omelette on the menu I knew I had to give it a shot. It did not disappoint. Great combination of fruit, egg and cinnamon cream cheese. Very delicious. The potatoes that came with it were nicely seasoned. Everything was fantastic. My wife and our 2 friends raved about their breakfasts. My son loved his apple pancakes. And a great job by all the servers to make us feel welcome and taken care of during our meal. Fantastic experience. We will be back!
(5)David N.
Don't let the thought that they have Vegan Options on the menu turn you aside, They Have BACON!!! I had the Liege Benedict, and although I am not usually a fan of sweet breakfasts, the combination of the sweet waffle and the bacon were amazing. My wife got the special benedict with Fresh tomatoes and mozzarella which was equally good. This place has hit the top of my breakfast spots. Check them out!!!
(5)Shawna G.
I love this place! Not only does it have a very friendly, cool atmosphere, but the food is great. Love that they have gluten free options, and everything is fresh. Awesome service, too!
(5)AMber W.
Absolutely wonderful, all around! Being a vegan in a non-vegan world, I really appreciate a place that can satisfy both omnivores and herbivores, and do it well. Great Full Gardens does a fantastic job of filling the needs of everyone. The restaurant is very bright, open, and airy, and they have a pretty large menu. Inside and outside seating choices. They serve fantastic Hub coffee and have their own incredibly delicious hot sauce made with grape seed oil. Start out slow because it has a huge kick! They have friendly service with incredibly knowledgeable staff, and they even have a really good rewards program that gives you $5 just for signing up and $10 in your birth month! Thank you for being so accommodating to all the 'vores!
(5)Jenna M.
Fear not meat lovers! Great Full Gardens loves you too! After reading many reviews, I was under the impression that this would be a place better suited for vegetarians, and that the word "bacon" might be off limits. I was proven way wrong! Not only were there very vegan and vegetarian friendly meals, there was also a large variety of healthy options with meat, as well as a few splurge meals. The breakfast is by far my favorite. If you like an explosion of taste, order a liege waffle, and don't be conservative! They have combinations like bacon, havarti cheese, basil and maple syrup, or feta and banana, and anything else you crave. You will not be disappointed. Also, if you are a benedict connoisseur, the hollandaise sauce is to die for. Don't get me wrong, lunch is amazing as well. Crazy good salads, sandwiches, and more. The flavors they pair are out of this world. I highly reccommend, for any style of eater, for any meal!

One of the best places we have ever been while on the road. Great customer service. Very clean. Awesome menu selection and very careful on food allergies. They offer gluten free, paleo, organic and vegan. The owners were in the store and socializing and showing their fresh veggie crop with a proud smile! My husband, picky eater, devoured the paleo bowl and said it was the "best breakfast he ever had". I had the fruit omelet with gluten free toast. Really enjoyed this place. It will be our stop whenever we head this way!

A friend took me here today for the first time. I was nervous because she is a vegetarian amd I most definitely am not. After checking out the menu, I realized they had selections to satisfy every eating desire. I decided on the blta but got it on reg bread instead of naan. It was really really good and I would have given this 4 stars except for one thing that will most likely prevent me from ever going back. ALL the items using mayo is made with FAKE vegan mayo...which means nasty processed soy based mayo. I avoid soy as much as humanly possible so I couldnt try their cole slaw and of course all sandwiches are slathered with this disgustingness. It makes me sad that they dont offer a choice for those of us who avoid soy based products.

First thing I noticed when I came in was the very open atmosphere. You don't feel cramped when inside which I really liked. We were greeted right as we entered and sat a minute later. Coming in at 9am on a Saturday, we were surprised at the speed at which we were serviced. The staff all look fairly young (and beautiful!), probably local college students. All of which were EXTREMELY polite and helpful. What separates a good server from a great one is that a great server knows the menu, items of the days, and can recommend/suggest items. These are GREAT servers. As far as the menu goes, there are a lot of vegan and raw food items for those with that type of appetite. Water is served in small mason jars with handles; really cute and quirky. Their liege waffles are a popular choice and rightfully so!!! There are to die for!! Definitely have to grab one when you come. Their specialty coffee is quite flavorful as well. I picked the Aztec D'oro. Very flavorful. All in all, service was great and so was the food. A must come to.

3.5 really, but I round up for local businesses. I read up on their website about the concept and I appreciate the efforts to offer fresh, healthy, and new eating out alternatives. The menu seems pretty expansive for a place that isn't relying on sysco food products and is prepping and cooking everything fresh. I have a feeling some pruning will occur as time goes on. 1st impression walking in, I don't think the space is used very well. The space is vast with high ceilings, exposed ducts, and lots of front windows and an open kitchen window in the back. It feels very temporary and like not much thought or money went towards furnishing and decorating the place. Not a huge deal, but does set an impression. I'm a crazy fan of liege waffles after traveling europe and even felt Bonte waffles satisfied my cravings, but they don't have any cafes here or nearby, so seeing liege waffles is what drew me here. (I wish I could say it was all their healthy paleo and otherwise health oriented items, but nope it was the buttery waffle with sugar crystals). We definitely had to try one. My husband had the benedict and I had the pupusa. Both had great flavors, but neither one was authentic. The benedict was good, hollandaise could use a little straining as it was lumpy, the potato side looked cold and greasy but was surprisingly flavorful. It seemed most people agreed on the appearance as all the tables around us had left the potatoes untouched, I think most people thought they looked undercooked but they werent. The pupusa was served with a small salad, lots of salsa, sour cream, and sliced avocado. I wish it stated that on the menu because I almost ordered a salad and avocado on the side. It was really good and portioned well so it wasn't too heavy. I ate it all. The liege waffle I so was craving and they dedicate a whole insert in their menu towards, was sadly not good. Again, not authentic. It had a very dry bread taste instead of the rich buttery brioche dough flavor. As if they just stirred in some sugar crystals into bread dough and cooked that in a waffle iron. Overall the food was satisfying minus the waffle. Even though nothing was an authentic or expected version of the item, it was tasty and we left happy. Improvements could definitely be put towards the dining room space and while the staff was friendly enough, they weren't knowledgeable about the menu and tended to repeat themselves (like asking if we wanted drinks several times after we had already ordered them) having to keep checking what the daily specials were, and not being sure what they put down on the table. (said the waffle came with no syrup, announced agave syrup when they brought out the waffle, and it was confirmed maple syrup instead). Not big issues, but enough to maybe focus on some training. Overall we like it and will pop back in occasionally.

LOVE this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful and fun, and the food was OUTSTANDING. Delicious vegan, gluten free, veggie items available. In a strip mall, but excellent food.

Drawbacks: -- The giant open room makes me feel claustrophobic unless I can get seating along an outer wall. -- It is $$$ - realize adding chicken or salmon to your meal adds a lot to your bill. -- Plating inconsistencies: sometimes the Juli's bowl is not very full; last time it was brimming high (which I loved and got to take home leftovers). The pros: -- Ali is a great server - very friendly, quick, competent. She stands out on a short list of great servers across Reno. Thanks, Ali! -- The vegan and veggie-rich options. Love Juli's bowl, and the wasabi bowl. Healthy food options abound! -- It's in Midtown, and that is where we usually are. Glad to not have to leave the hub and head to South Meadows or some place way south of town. -- The corner high-tables and with booths. These are GREAT for a group of 4-6 and we try to get them when we can. Generally it's a bit pricey for food I would make at home myself, but it is a nice atmosphere, friendly, and sometimes you just don't want to cook and really want to eat healthy still!
(4)Nick G.
Had the Green House Salad, and some of their Hummus Mixer appetizer (both fresh and delicious). Those seated near me also expressed high approval of Gino's Raw Power Bowl, Juli's Brown Rice Sautee, the Veghead Sandwich, and their vegan versions of a Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich and a rootbeer float. They were very accommodating of our large group of about 15-20 people, we received attentive service, and were never made to feel "in the way." Loved the relaxed yet energetic ambience too. Will be back soon!

This meal ended up costing me $500!!! I parked near the entrance to the restaurant, I'm guessing too close to the Huge, Empty strip club parking lot directly next door. The meal was average, overpriced, service was fine. Left to find my car GONE! The owner of Great Full Garden knew to call the crooked tow company that hovers there, City Auto Tow. I asked the manager WHY a huge sign is NOT on their front door warning their patrons. He was not sympathetic and said they had signs in the bathroom!!!! The tow company was rude beyond rude and still has my very expensive car in Sparks! They are threatening to keep it unless I change my attitude. So a police escort is needed. Needless to say, after much research I am not the only Greatfull Garden patron to have had this happen to. Given their limited parking, signage needs to be placed directly on the entrance advising customers! I will never return despite Living Social vouchers I purchased for there, nor will I refer anybody either! Poor Customer Service!!
(1)Alex Y.
Eaten here numerous times and I've loved it every time. I love that there are a lot healthy options to choose from and I like to add salmon which is always cooked perfectly. I really like the wasabi bowl! Great atmosphere and the employees are always friendly! Thank you for opening up in Reno!!! Not a lot of available parking so expect to circle the area once or twice!
(5)Ashley M.
This place is so delicious and healthy! I look forward to anytime I have a little extra money in my pocket and can splurge a little on my lunch by going to Great Full Gardens. Their service was fantastic and I asked our server her recommendation on what I had been thinking about getting and she said it was her favorite item and she recommends that when the guest may not have an idea of what to get. It turned out to be delicious! I had the Bedazzle Liege Waffles. They were definitely to die for! I would recommend this place to those that love to be healthy as well as support our community businesses and locally grown foods.
(5)Keri K.
I love this place! I love that if you have special diet needs, you can trust that you will still get a great meal out of them! I love their tomato soup and their amazing grill cheese......I love love love love love this place!
(5)L G.
Convinced by the all the positive Yelp reviews, we came in hoping for a healthy, flavorful meal but this place totally misses the mark. Great concept and love that they use hormone free meats and local produce but our food was terrible. Totally lacking in flavor and it's too bad since so much could be done with fresh, local produce. Had the Paleo Heaven plate which was chicken breast on top of a medley of veggies (I think it was zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant and bok choy). The veggies were soggy and sitting in water and it tasted like mush. The chicken breast was cooked ok but there was no seasoning or anything. The other dish we tried was a penne pasta and again, the tomato sauce was watered down. Actually both dishes shared a similar flavor... NONE! Service was slow for not being really busy. Lots of wait staff walking around but no one came by to check on us or to say 'Your food will be coming soon.' We just sat there, getting annoyed. Maybe we didn't order the right things but I felt the dishes we ordered weren't very complicated so how could they mess it up? Oh well. Just not for me.
(1)Chris B.
Great food, variety, service... A good choice for the healthy eater, lunch or dinner.!
(5)Stacy B.
Yum been looking for a good restaurant so I can mix and match good vegetarian options w/ fish if I like. Having the option of a Wild Salmon add on is awesome, as well as gluten free pasta. Looking forward to trying out many other dishes. Wasabi bowl was spicy but delicious, though I would have loved the broccoli to be be fully steamed and not only partially (checked in advance to make sure it wasn't a raw dish). Husband's spag and sauce was fairly average, pulled pork was tasy - he could get halves of both and it was pretty manageable portion and price wise. Being nexy door to batch doesn't hurt, they do carry a couple of Batch's cupcakes at the restaurant too. Delish!!
(4)Jan Z.
Yelp does it again! We don't live in Reno and were driving around looking for something fresh and tasty and we weren't disappointed! We ordered way more than we could eat but it all looked so good. Salmon rolls to start, wonderful with wasabi sauce but next time I'd order them with a cup of soup and call it lunch. We tried the soup sampler, two cups, the best tomato soup I've ever had, along with barley-mushroom, flat out amazing. Then our entrees- fresh halibut with sweet potato mash and green beans, and wild salmon with eggplant/mushroom/squash medley... All perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Our server was quick, friendly, knowledgable and just attentive enough. I can't think of enough good things to say. We're going back for breakfast before we leave town.
(5)Bruce G.
So disappointed, heard such good things about this restaurant. I took my daughter "The Vegetarian" to lunch. They were busy, the normal 20 minute wait. No biggie. The waiter was nice, but not what I would call professional. We ordered the Vegan Rubin and a waffle. First my coffee was burnt, not strong, but like it had been sitting for a good long while. Second cup wasn't any better. Had plenty of time to think about this as our food took over 40 minutes to arrive. My daughter gave her Rubin an OK as it was just warm and nothing special. By OK I mean that was the only description she could muster. The waffle was about the same, not great, actual about half a waffle, sort of tossed on the plate with some toppings on it and a few pieces of fruit, no presentation at all. Trying to decide if I might give it a second chance as the other reviewers seemed to like it.
(1)Tavis M.
Theres no gambling on the Vegan Reuban, the "Facon" blt and a kombucha! They were in my mouth today. This place rules because it shows that a city renowned for great dive bars, rib fests and car shows has demand for healthy sustainable food. Service was great, fast and knowledgeable. Left feeling as full as the wallets of the peppermill owners!
(4)Mackenzie M.
Came here on a Saturday night, it was busy but we got a table right away. This is now my favorite restaurant in town! My boyfriend and I split the Pollo taco salad and the gourmet grilled cheese with quinoa salad and tomato soup. It was all amazing. Possibly the best grilled cheese either of us has ever had. Great beer on tap, and I love how they provide bottled water on the table. All in all they are killing it hardcore in every regard. Service was excellent, decor is comfortable, even the salad bowls are super cool. Thumbs up America.
(5)Gregg S.
Best new eatery in Mid-Town. I had the salmon sandwich and it rocked my world. Keep up the good work and keep making great healthy food.
(5)Geri N.
Food is great! I have tried the Wasabi Bowl and The Bomb Salad. The food is healthy and filling! The great food made up for their service. We waited for 20 minutes at a table just for someone to take our order. I also ordered a coffee to go. I'll be honest. I am a notorious Starbucks drinker. So when I asked the waitress and barista what I wanted they looked at me like I was crazy. The waitress was explaining to me how their drinks are nothing like Starbucks drinks. There was a line starting to form behind me as I was educated about coffee and was told to "come into the light." I chuckle at the situation now but Yeah, kinda embarrassing. I ended up getting a Mexican Mocha after that. I probably will order food for pick up next time and skip the coffee for now.

Woohoo! This place is AMAZING! I had the best lunch date with my Honey there! The food was excellent! The service was better than excellent! I left there feeling like I had new friends! The staff was so kind and as enthused about the food as I quickly became. I could tell they were proud of the food and the integrity of the food they were serving. The owners are also amazing people. They shared with me about local ranches and greenhouses their foods come from. I had the soup sampler, Rae's Red Lintels and their daily soup, Totally Tomato (which they happen to grow their own tomatoes)! It was wonderful...and even better the next day! I also had the hummus appetizer. It was also the best hummus I've ever had...and I've had my fair share of hummus! The large assortment of veggies were also so flavorful! I guess it's true what they say about organic and local veggies because these were really good. I found myself chowing down on red bell pepper and pea shoots...Seriously! I also enjoy a bit of spice to my food and found they have garlic/chili oil on the table, they make in-house. It was the perfect addition for me. My boyfriend, not quite the pea shoot and lentil enthusiast, had the grilled melty cheese on Dutch crust with quinoa salad and a watermelon agave cream soda. The soda was so refreshing and the sandwich yummy and melty, definitely large enough for two servings. We left with two to-go containers of food and bill was under $25.00! I really cannot say enough. This is my kinda place! I signed up for their website promotional thing and I woke up this morning to a welcome email and a coupon for my next visit, NICE! I've already made plans to go back and can't wait! I am so happy and proud Reno has this conscious, healthy and really YUMMY addition to its local fare!

This is a great addition to MidTown. It provides casual dining with well executed food, fresh, organic food. The menu is broad enough to satisfy various stripes of vegetarian, but also has meat items. When Midtown Eats and Brasserie are a little too much of a caloric commitment, this is the place to go. We tried the tomato soup, smoked salmon rolls, grilled cheese, and salmon salad. All very good. This place is on my regular MidTown food rotation.
(5)Shayna G.
I love the variety offered on the menu. Delicious paleo options! Staff is nice and the food is delicious. One of my favorite places for lunch dates with my friends.
(5)Jessica R.
So amazing! Had their specialty waffles and fell in love. The bacon is very crispy and flavorful as well, sooo delicious! Our waiter was extremely friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I absolutely love the quality of the food, and the fact that it's all organic, natural and local makes it even more amazing. Also next to a very good bakery called Batch, also organic! Love love love :) so happy I found and will be returning.

Came here once again with my family friend, and was totally impressed! Most of the food is vegan friendly as well as organic! Their menu is actually quite large and is filled with salads, soups, sandwiches, waffles, and pastas for dinner. The first time I came I ordered the Beautiful BLTA served on naan with the fruit bowl as my side. They offer quinoa salad, chips, and a fruit bowl with each entree. My aunt got the veggie sandwich with vegan cheese and the fruit bowl. I'm a big fan of meat and dairy but I've got to say that veggie sandwich was delicious! My BLTA was so flavorful and yummy. I came a second time a couple of days ago and ordered the Bedazzle Liege waffle and it was DELICIOUS. The waffle has sugar crystals baked into the waffle and it's actually made from a dough, not a batter! It was topped off with cheese, bacon, and a sunny side up egg and although it's a pretty small portion, the waffle itself is quite rich and amazingly delicious. My boyfriend had the wild alaskan salmon sandwich with the quinoa salad and was delicious! The staff and owner are very friendly and efficient. They also allow you to sign up with your email to receive special offers and discounts for coming in and eating!

A must! I love how great I feel after eating at Great Full Gardens. Thank you Juli and Gino for bringing this to Reno! Service is great + food is amazing, healthy and very tasty!
(5)Catherine C.
The Aztec D'Oro espresso drink is soooooo good. Love the Elvis waffle. Have had it twice now, though it was a bit small to be eaten as a brunch item with nothing on the side. The half sandwich with a side is a good deal for lunch or dinner - many of them can be had for $5. Not a fan of their breakfast potatoes. They are small cubed things and not browned very well. I had the fruit omelet once and it was decent. I wasn't able to eat it all so it is quite big.
(4)Lilia B.
Found this gem here on yelp. By far the best vegan breakfast I've ever had (outside the home, of course). My husband and I are so glad we swung by there a soon as they opened, because when we drove by later it was packed! We had the vegan hash and the raw breakfast bowl- both so delicious. The fact that Björk was playing over the speakers was definitely a plus!!! Oh, and the staff were super friendly and nice. The quality of interaction one needs to start their day off right. :)
(5)Bill G.
Loved it! Simply loved it! I showed up just before noon, and there was a 10 minute wait for a table, so the nice hostess squeezed me in at the bar. Both the hostess and my waitress / cashier (Cindy) were so happy and friendly, they made it special right from the start. I had the lemon artichoke soup, and it was fantastic! Then I had a vegan sandwich called "FLTA", which was scrumptious. (not sure when I last used "scrumptious", but it seems appropriate). Cindy twisted my arm and I had a vegan berry pie of some sort, and guess what, also scrumptious! I guess the only thing I'd ask for would be more items non-meat menu items and more items where the choice of meat was an option. It would give more choices to everyone. Also, do yourself a favor and park on the street a block away and walk, it won't kill you. Everything is so fresh, light, flavorful, and reasonably priced, it gets two thumbs up.
(5)Brian A.
Awesome food, healthy selections, coolest owners and staff ever! You must check this place out
(5)Kristina M.
Hands down my favorite place to eat in Reno! Friendly and hard-working staff, as well as amazingly delicious, and REAL food of all kinds!!
(5)jon R.
Oasis in a Food Desert! Great Full provides FRESH, delicious, nutritious food and friendly service in a cute retail area of Reno (it's right near a cupcake shop)! The paleo bowl with grilled salmon was fantastic and the wasabi sauce on my wife's salad was memorable. The coffee was great too!
(5)Traci I.
Stopped by this place on our way to Oregon from Silver Lake, and we're so grateful we stopped here! Nourishing yummy food, uplifting environment and good people to be found here.
(5)Denver D.
Went during lunch hour. Expected it to be busy and it was. Walked in and was told there would be a 15 minute wait. However, there was clearly an available table. After waiting 20 minutes we ended up being say at the table that was available all along. I feel the staff get offended when you ask for sparking water. My waitresses response was "well this water is filtered" (they give you a bottle of water as soon as you sit down) Food was great. I got the teriyaki bowl. Prices aren't too bad either. Parking lot needs to be larger.
(3)Alison A.
The food is ALWAYS amazing. The service is ehh..... always dragging a little. I have been here about 10 times and I haven't had good service. Yes everyone is friendly, but prompt or knowledgeable not really. BUT I WILL ALWAYS GO BACK be the food is the best.
(4)Jeremy W.
We walked a mile from the casinos to have breakfast here and were not disappointed. The vegan bowl as delicious. The Liege Waffle was absolutely unbelievable. I've never had anything like it and consider it a must, if only to share between a group. The environment is cute and the staff are kind and attentive. A solid choice for vegetarians, vegans, and more!
(5)Gregory M.
I have to admit I was not sure what I was about to walk into, but was pleasantly surprised! What a menu. What is this the farm to table Cheesecake Factory. They have everything. I had the papusa plate, my wife had the chicken sandwich with soup. Everything was well prepared, the service was great, and I can't wait to go back and try something else.
(5)Rose C.
Don't you love a place that makes you feel smart? We happened to get there at 11am so we beat the lunch rush and got a parking place right in front and a nice table. Brainiacs! Then everything on the eclectic menu looked good so anything we picked was the right thing! We shared the salmon roll app and I had the special that was a vegan wrap and soup. Yummy. Debbie enjoyed the special salad that was large and had hummus and added chicken. Hubby had the Thanksgiving sandwich from the list of all your favorite meaty sandwich choices. The cranberry, stuffing and shaved turkey sandwich made him feel all warm and fuzzy and he wants to go back to a place where I can get awesome veggie meals! Brilliant! The staff and setting were great. Plus I think it's wise to patronize all the visionary business owners that are making Midtown a fun place to visit.
(5)Linda K.
Excellent restaurant!! Great service, awesome food, and wonderful ambiance. We were visiting our son who lives here and were delighted with our experience. We will definitely eat here when we visit again!
(5)CJ K.
Amazing food! Great selection and fresh ingredients. I love the half sandwich combos! Sometimes the service can be very slow which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.
(4)E L.
Completely delicious!! I am so excited to have stumbled in here one day. Super fresh ingredients, such great food- I had half a BLT (how civilized to offer half sandwiches), red lentil soup, and a side of quinoa salad. I'm still talking about it two weeks later. :) They were super busy and doing their best to accommodate people quickly, and we agreed to share a table with another party of two, which was just fine! People complaining about slow service need to be a little more forgiving, I think.. they are really making a good thing happen here.
(5)Naveid S.
I want to really like this place, but it's just average. Got the paleo dinner once and was underwhelmed. Felt real shafted on the vegetable amount. Came back another time and got a bowl of this famous Gino's soup and it was pretty bland and boring. I'm sure some of their sandwiches are good, but so far this place has been a major letdown for me.
(2)Lew L.
I've been here 3 times, had 3 different things, and have love all of them. Rice bowl, Paleo Salad, and I think it was called Paleo Plate???? (platter of sauté veggies with salmon on the top) YUM! I am doing Weight Watchers. I'll warn you, everything on the menu is NOT diet food. But it is fresh, local, and delicious. Tendy, funky, décor.
(4)Jay W.
We had a wonderful dinner here. Plenty of healthy options. I usually think that means that the flavors will be bland, but Great Full Gardens negates that quite well. My wife had the raw power bowl with Quinoa, I had a Sea Bass Special. Both were quite tasty. We topped it off with the banana split waffle - left very satisfied and with leftovers. We were happy to see this place hopping on a Monday night.
(5)Joan M.
Not a fan.. I think their original take-out shop (Pathway's) is better than the restaurant. It's too bad Pathway's isn't more accessible since it's in the UNR Med School with no parking. Great Full Gardens service is mediocre.
(1)Em K.
Been here twice...food's been disappointing both times. ambience: 3/5. nothing fancy, but clean. service: 5/5. excellent. very friendly and attentive and helpful with the menu food:....the IDEA is 5/5. but taste?...2/5. I really really wanted to love this place. I love that they serve locally sourced organic foods. And I still don't hate the place and would like to come and give it another chance...but so far the food has been disappointing. All their dishes taste "REALLY HEALTHY"...but not in a good way. regardless of how healthy, food should first and foremost taste good. We've had Paleo Heaven(2/5), Pasta Penne Arrabiata(3/5), Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Sandwich(1/5 the salmon was completely unacceptably overcooked), and one more thing I can't remember. Regardless of how terrible I think their food tastes, I do hope they do well...and I hope next time we'll have a better experience.
(3)Adam K.
Both my wife and I couldn't believe how great the food is at this place!! I don't even particularly like vegetables or "healthy food" (yeah, yeah... meat and potatoes) but do you know what? They make it taste... not just good... but fantastic!! Will definitely go back. The only negative is that there was probably a 20 minute wait to get inside-- but you're gonna encounter that at any popular restaurant. (That's how you know it's good... when there's a line to get in!)
(5)Jared M.
My wife had a great waffle with apple and blue cheese. I had the paleo bowl. Nice to have paleo options. I would suggest a little less salsa and perhaps a spoon full of guac instead. But overall a super dish. Very good portion sizing to; enough, but not so much to leave you sluggish.
(5)Crystal S.
Abdolutely love this place. I get the chicken bliss with their tomato bisque everytime. Dont miss out on their Liege waffles. Im still making my way down the list of waffles but none have disappointed me so far.
(5)Christopher W.
Farm to table has come to Reno and this is one of the good examples. We had an excellent lunch and very friendly service. BLTA sandwich was simple but perfect. Extremely flavorful bacon cooked perfectly crisp without being crumbly. The tomato soup deserves its special status. My wife has a lot of allergies and the staff could not have been more sensitive or helpful. Even to the point of bringing out the bag of chips so she could look at the ingredients. She had an excellent grilled cheese sandwich on very good gluten free bread (in honor of National Grilled Cheese Day). I thought I'd be going to the Starbucks across the street for coffee afterward but the restaurant features locally roasted artisan coffee that was terrific. Great find!

As promised, we returned last night. The restaurant was not even half full (I'm an optimist), yet once we were seated and given a bottle of water, I think we slipped into invisible cloaks. There were several servers roaming the joint, but none had the customer service skills to at least say, "Hi, welcome, we'll be with you in a moment," which is all I ask. We got nuthin'. My husband watched a server behind the counter stand there for 10 minutes, occasionally glancing at us, but obviously not seeing us (see: invisible cloak). We are patient diners, and we are nice people. I don't expect rose petals scattered in my path, but I do expect common courtesy. After ten minutes, we decided that it was not worth spending our money with people who clearly did not care that we were there. We got up to leave, not one server stopped us, and the hostess (if you can call her that, really she was just a girl standing at the front door playing with her phone, probably watching the Miley Cyrus VMA twerking clip on a continuous loop) did not even look up as we left. It's too bad, because we really enjoyed the food here. But we won't tolerate poor service, or in this case, lack of any service at all. We took our business elsewhere and got great service and food from people who were GRATEFUL for our patronage.

Went to dinner tonight for the first time and was very impressed! The menu was really surprising...they try and cater to every type of foodie so there are lots of choices. I had the salmon roll up starter for my meal and was blown away! Fresh fish and great flavors. My server recommended the wasabi sauce on the side for dipping and it was perfect! Don't leave without getting the apple chai cookie. Everyone was really friendly and seemed happy to be there. Lots of space inside, and I love a Mid Town restaurant with good parking. I'm looking forward to going back for breakfast next time.
(5)Shumai P.
Waffle was good but the wasabi bowl was so overwhelming with wasabi that with each if the four bites I took hurt my head!!! That wasabi burn in the back of your head, you know what I'm talking about. Tomato soup was too sweet and bland. I was really disappointed that the server charged me for my bowl when clearly I could not eat it. I'll give it one more chance but so far I'm not impressed.

The mere idea of this restaurant is already so enticing as to evoke images of scrumptious yet oh-so-healthy foods. Great Full Gardens offers its guests a very bright, open and friendly space with indoors and outdoors seating, super nice staff and excellent service. They pride themselves in foods produced with fresh, local and very often organic ingredients - quite an impressive repertoire when put all together. I love their social media outreach - they bridge the gap between workers and guests and also like to feature their daily specials (which could be a torture sometimes when browsing Facebook right around lunchtime). The food is generally delicious, but the french toast I had there for my birthday was far from memorable; it was quite bland actually. The prices are somewhat above average but I would say it is definitely worth it considering the overall experience.
(4)Frank L.
So glad to find GFGC, I think it has the best veg* meals and selections in Reno (there aren't a lot of good choices out there!) Visited with my daughter for breakfast - I had Juli's Breakfast Saute and she had the FruitFull Liege waffle and couldn't stop raving about it. The food is freshly prepared, satisfying, and healthy - this is the place to eat if you want natural food done right :-) My only suggestion: We both felt the portions should be a little larger - that will make it a solid five star experience.
(5)Kimberly K.
If your looking for a healthy yet delicious meal with a selection everyone will like this is it!! The bruschetta with melted cheeses mmmmmmm! All the salads are excellent, as well as the soup!
(5)Veronica W.
Highly recommended! First the service. The first time was a bit of a long wait, but the place was busy. Very understandable. Once I got the attention from one of the waiters, the service has been always excellent! We went today on our third visit in two weeks. This place is amazing, and for healthy eating (whether a vegan or paleo lifestyle), this is the place for you. For the paleo dishes they use either olive oil or coconut oil, and the dishes they have created so far are really delightful. They are very accommodating in letting you know the ingredients for every dish, so for those with sensitivities, it's a heaven site in our little city. I have been familiar with their soups since some time ago, and they are exquisite! This paleonista is ecstatic and very grateful with the Scala family for opening such a wonderful restaurant!
(5)Wayne M.
Yum! I was afraid it was going to be all twigs and berries, but I was WRONG. Every thing was excellent. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and I would recommend both.
(5)Penny R.
Freshness! A huge selection for every taste that you might have a craving for. Every time that we go in we are greeted with a smile and always a motivational message of the day on the board. The menu is so diverse. Hard to select from the variety....so have tried something different each time... Salads...FRESH... Dressings...unique Fish....cooked perfectly Soups........they are lick the bowl goodness. The tomato soup is what they are known for, but go for the soup of the day. The waitstaff is patient and knows the menu. Co not hesitate to ask for substitutions and for ideas. Next time I will save room for dessert.
(5)Scott C.
We enjoyed this place so much yesterday that we had to come back again today! Absolutely incredible food...and the farm to table concept is soooooo right on!! Keep it up guys! #intentionality
(5)Amanda M.
Delicious, fresh, healthy local food with options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores. Even better is that they have consistently awesome customer service. Everyone is always so friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate customers. Just today, they switched out an outdoor umbrella for a group of women having breakfast, no questions asked. I will definitely keep coming back for the great food and great service.
(4)Suzanne J.
Super delicious! I ate there 3x in 2 weeks while I was in Reno, it just hit my sweet spot! The grilled cheese on Truckee sourdough is dope, try it!
(5)Samantha D.
This place is beaming with positivity. All of the employees are friendly. There is outdoor seating which makes it pet friendly. The server will even bring your dog a bowl of water. My server, Pat, was a delight. He guided me through the vegan options and I decided on the Wasabi salad. This place also serves non vegan options for the carnivores out there. I liked my salad. I give it a 4/5 stars. It was refreshing but not as flavorful as I would have wished for with a title of "wasabi". All the ingredients taste super fresh. The chai was delicious; More tea based than milk based which I actually like. If I lived here, I'd be a regular I'm sure. They have tons of vegan pasta and salad entrees.
(5)Nicole B.
On a Sunday afternoon, this is the place to be! My wife and were hungry while in the area so I suggested Great Full Gardens. This was one place I'd been that she hadn't! That's a rarity for us. I come for the liege waffles. The delicious, sweet, and filling treats are a favorite of mine. I fell in love with them while traipsing around Europe on our honeymoon. They are almost impossible to find in town but there is a whole section of the menu here dedicated to them! Be still my beating heart! I got the fruitfull and an iced chai tea latte. My fruitfull was delicious but next time I'm going to nix the fruit compote. I would have preferred fresh fruit with the chocolate sauce on top. Good to know for next time. Usually, I get the liege waffles with a generous sprinkling of powdered sugar. I think I might prefer them that way. No matter what, these waffles aren't your normal waffles. They are about 1000% better and more delicious. Trust me on that! The iced chai had a good spice to it and thankfully didn't taste watered down. It was available with almond or soy milk though I'm a tradition cows milk kinda girl. I like knowing they have these options though because my wife always prefers soy. Our server, Daniel, was fantastic! He had a bubbly personality with a nice sense of humor mixed it. It was the perfect combination! He was attentive without being overbearing. It was a pleasure sitting in his section and he made you feel like you were at his personal dinner table, making the whole experience quaint and cozy. I left feeling lighter and happier than when I arrived, that's what a good food experience should be!
(5)Bret S.
If you've been here, you know it can get really busy for lunch. I was here today little after 10 am with the intent of having breakfast. The key words for our experience today were SLOW and COLD. The parking lot was not full when we arrived, and there was still plenty of seating inside. Good sign so far. Greeted right when we arrived, but it took a while to be seated. OK. The couple seated after us was drinking their coffee before we were greeted at our table by our server. Ordered coffee, Great Full Benedict with a Liege waffle substitute, and The Elvis liege waffle breakfast. It took 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive (come for breakfast, stay for lunch). In that time, our coffee cups went dry but our server did not know because he did not bother to check. When the food finally did arrive, it was barely lukewarm. I could see it in the texture of the sauce before I took my first bite. The good news about the barely warm food arriving was we finally got some more coffee. Saw the server again when our check was delivered. Told him the food was cold but no recovery other than an apology. There are plenty of good places to eat breakfast in Reno, including right across the street at Two Chicks. This is no longer on my list of acceptable places to eat breakfast in Reno. Might return for lunch someday, but then again, so many good options in that area right now.....
(2)Catherine R.
I love this place. Great for vegans, GF folks, Paleo, and regular omnivores. I had the eggs Benedict with spinach, avocado and added heirloom tomoatoes on GF toast with root veggie browns, hold the dairy hollandaise. It was fantastic. My almond milk latte was good. I was here at 10:45am and it was not packed, quite spacious yet busy.

Really? It took me several years to FINALLY make it to Great Full Gardens??? How did that happen? Tsk tsk shame on me! Date night last night, and since there was no particular "ethnicity" we wanted to try, it was the perfect excuse to finally eat here. Glad we did! It was happy hour so we got 2 for 1 sangrias. I'm not the biggest sangria fan but my wife sure liked it! Our server was very friendly and happy to give suggestions to a couple of newbies. I got a veghead sandwich and my wife got fish tacos. Everything was very fresh and tasty! And it would have been a crime against humanity to not try one of the waffles. They're pretty small for $5-8 each, but maaaaaaan that's some good eatin'! It tastes more like delicious sweet bread than waffles. Lots of crystalized sugars on the outside, and a delicious soft doughy inside. Yum- I could have eaten those all night! We'll be back, I swear. And this time it won't take three years.
(5)Althea L.
The quinoa side dish is amazing! Server was very nice and fast. Definitely a go-to place :)

When I go out for food, I rarely think of a healthy option. So coming to Great Full Gardens for dinner on a weekend I wasn't expecting much. We were greeted and sat down as soon as we arrived. Our server was attentive and friendly during the entire meal. Things seemed good so far. I ordered a whole tuna melt sandwich on multi-grain bread with a side of cole slaw. Bread was nicely toasted and the tuna salad was on the lighter side, but that's something I was expecting. The cole slaw was very good and that's something that not many places get right. This was paired this with a glass of Pinot Grigio. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied without the regret. Overall, I'm happy to have a healthy dining option in Reno that goes beyond the salad bar at the supermarket. With good service, fresh food, and a beer and wine list, this place is doing it right.

I found this place online by searching gluten free in Reno, NV. While they don't seem to label everything that is gluten free on their regular menu they servers are able pretty knowledgeable. I wasn't coming for anything other than the soup though. This is made by Gino the Soup Man and also sold in the frozen section of the Whole Foods Market in town. All the soups are vegan so making them dairy free which works for me and all but two are gluten free. Every day they have the totally tomato and then rotate what the other one is. I decided to get the soup duo with the totally tomato and the other soup which was pumpkin, sage and hempseed. I asked to have carrot sticks with it instead of the bread since they were kind of busy and I didn't want to have to worry about the cross contamination risk with the gluten free bread. When I ordered I explained to my server very clearly about my allergies and my celiac disease. He assured me they would be careful, but upon arrival of my food from another girl she sat it down and I proceeded to verify that the correct procedures were taken to avoid cross contamination. She agreed, but then almost immediately came back and told me that maybe they should redo the carrot sticks. She came out and told me she was having them cut me fresh ones on a clean surface and he would wash his hands. I was disappointed this wasn't done from the get go, but at least she realized. Unfortunately by the time my soups came back they were luke warm. I decided to not say anything and just eat them anyways. The pumpkin was by far my favorite between the two and I appreciated that the lady realized procedures may not have been taken properly. I would definitely come back for their soups.

Came here for the second time about two days ago. I've had wonderful experiences here each time. They have great food, good portions and all for a reasonable price. I love their vegan sandwiches (the Veghead is my go-to from now on). My fiancee gets the burgers and says they're fantastic. Will definitely be back.
(5)John M.
This place may seem a little hippy or crunchy or whatever, but the do meat. And everything that I've had there has been awesome. This includes the dessert cookies. I don't do the espresso shot with dessert, but I hear that's good too. When I want something healthy and delicious, this is definitely one my options.
(5)Anzia C.
My family has a lot of food allergies so when I found this place to host my birthday brunch and introduce my family to my fiancé' so was happy. They were very kind and helpful with the menu and what they can and can't accommodate. The food is very good. I love their liege waffles to no end. The coffee is very bitter though and it's a trend I've found with most of their brewed drinks. I don't know if it's the water or beans but that's the one drawback.
(4)Diane A.
Best place to eat breakfast in my opinion. This restaurant could fit in perfectly in Berkeley California. Every time we visit Reno we only go to grateful gardens for breakfast. Had a killer Mimosa as well!

Our trip (actually, trips) to Great Full Gardens started out a little rocky, but I'm glad we stuck it out because I finally found out what I've missing this whole time. I had a Living Social voucher that was about to expire, so planned to use it on Friday night. I figured there'd be a wait, and I was right, but I can stick 25 minutes out, even standing in the cold wind outside. But 30 minutes passed and even the couple that had been waiting since before we got there hadn't been seated, but we all watched a couple walk right in and get seated. So, when we said something, the hostess told us that she thought we had left since we stepped to the side of the building. Ok, but that doesn't explain why the other people had been waiting even longer. At this point, I'm past the point of normal-hungry and decide to find something else to eat. If it weren't for that Living Social voucher, I'm not sure that I'd return so soon, but a couple of days later, we were back to try again. On our second attempt, the hostess (a different girl) seemed much more organized and much less frazzled by the crowd waiting to be seated. We were told a 15 minute wait and ended up being about 10. Our server was at our table shortly after to take our drink orders and those arrived relatively quickly too. One downside to the drinks - the beer/drink list didn't mention any of the beers that they had on tap so we didn't know they had Icky until after we had already ordered a bottled beer. We pretty much knew what we wanted already since we had time to peruse the menu while we waited a few days before. We both chose sandwiches (steak with the quinoa salad and pulled pork with the chips), plus a cup of soup to share. I was hoping the soup would come out before the entrees, but everything came out at once. And even though I had ordered the tomato soup, we got the soup of the day (curried lentils and kale) - I didn't mention it because it sounded good as well and it was. The sandwiches both blew our minds - they were big portions, plenty of meat, and really tasty. The quinoa salad was a little boring and I envied my boyfriends chips (made from adzuki beans). But overall, we loved both of our meals! The food definitely redeemed the snafu from a few days earlier and I'm excited to come back to try out some of the salads, and maybe even one of the waffle desserts.
(4)Adryenn A.
My first time here today and I was so thrilled. Amazing food, great staff, reminds me of the Bay Area! I will be back for sure. I had a fiesta wrap but nearly got the Pollo Taco Salad. Everything looked and smelled delicious. Going to make this my go to lunch spot!

Great Full Gardens is one of my favorite places in Reno to eat. The food is fresh, locally grown and sourced when possible and delicious. The service has always been great for me as well. For awhile there I was on a Wasabi Vegetable bowl with added Wild Alaskan Salmon kick. (try it if you haven't, it's delish!) but I've finally been there enough times to venture away from my favorite a few times. This last time I had the tomato soup (Gino the soupman soup) alongside a grilled cheese sandwich. Sounds so Kraft and Campbells at home with mom-like right?!! not even close!! The sandwich had 4 kinds of cheeses and tomatoes on fresh made bread and the tomato soup was the yummiest creamiest tomato soup ever. As if that wasn't enough, it was served with a side. I had the coleslaw. Equally as good as the rest of the meal. While I can't say enough good things about the food (I've honestly never eaten a thing I haven't loved there yet) and the service has always been fantastic for me. The only thing that is ever a problem for me is that the room is so loud and can feel a bit like a cafeteria. I'm almost always there for a business meeting and I can't hear most of what anyone is saying even if they are sitting right across from me because of the acoustics in this room. If the atmosphere softened up just slightly then I'd definitely give this a 5 star.

Just came here for lunch today to try their paleo plates. I got the double edge paleo and the bf got paleo heaven with tri tip. Both were really good and the bf even tolerated the mass amount of veggies on his plate. The tri tip was very tasty and I love the stir fried veggies in my bowl. The jalepenos added a spicy kick but if you want things even more spicy - their homemade chili oil is really good. I love the fact that this place uses a lot of fresh ingredients and caters to different diets like paleo, gluten free, and vegan. It is a bit on the pricey side but I think the quality is well worth it. The service was a bit on the slow side and the food took a while to come out but other than that, I really enjoyed Great Full Gardens.

Great , interesting veggie options. Serve was good. Would recommend. Had a Rueben Sandwich. Very large portion.

I want to have my dinner experience at GFG over and over again. Definitely go here. I loved it and before I paid my check last night, I had already decided that I was going to come back the next night (that isn't like me but) it's just that good. It's a short, 15 minute walk from the downtown area and definitely worth the work (not to mention, I think it's always nice in Reno). It's not pricey at all and since it's a vegan, Paleo, GF restaurant, you can feel good about eating here and you should. They have some patio seating outside and the inside of the restaurant is casual and affordable. I paid $25 for a glass of wine, cup of soup and an entree. I ordered the warm kale salad with a fried egg, the lemon artichoke soup and a glass of chardonnay. The artichoke lemon soup was delightful. It was a pureed soup and paired nicely with the chardonnay. I added some salt and pepper just to experiment with them, though it didn't need it. I am not sure what the base of the soup was, I'm betting it was a veggie broth. The warm kale salad features golden beets, shredded brussel sprouts, Parm cheese, dried cranberries, silvered almonds and a champagne shallot vinaigrette and the egg I added to it. And OMG! It's served in this huge bowl and the cheese melts on top and blends with the dressing to make this cream topping and it was just well balanced and wonderful. I had a great time making every bite a different combination of delicious. The nuts get it an earthy flavor and the egg ruins with the beets and I didn't finish it all because I wanted to eat it again the next day and I was so full after the soup. One thing that I never write about in my reviews is the service. That is usually a reflection of just-fine service. However, the service i received here was exceptional and timely. Everyone that approached me was friendly, warm and smiled! I was eating by myself and sometimes servers are awkward but that wasn't the case. I felt like a regular and left wanting to be friends with my server. I'm counting down the hours until I get to eat here again and will make this a staple every time I travel to Reno. BTW, there is a beer place and a cupcake place right next door so if you go there early, you can taste beer, eat at GFG and then get a cupcake at Batch (they close at 8) - but only if you have the willpower to say no to GFG desserts first. EDIT: Batch has GF and paleo cupcakes and I did eat here for a second night in a row. I ordered the lunch paleo bowl w/ salmon and tarragon apple cider dressing, a side of coleslaw and a (vegan) pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. This dish resembled something I make a home. It was served in a huge bowl; an 8 oz salmon filet over a heaping bed of broccoli, kale, mushrooms, red onions and cabbage. This was pretty good though the salmon was overcooked and the salad needed salt. The dressing added a bit more flavor to it. I kept it on the side though because it was oil based. I couldn't finish it so took the rest with me for lunch the next day. The coleslaw was awesome. I can't tell you what seasonings or dressing they used but it was great. It's also a pretty big side so you can easily share it. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookie was like a cake cookie. It was huge, had a good amount of chocolate chips and the texture was comparable to a moist, dense pumpkin muffin. Disclaimer: I really, really wanted to try their Connie's famous fruit omelet. However, my work schedule in Reno will never allow me to get to GFG in time for breakfast. So I called and politely asked if they would make an exception and serve this to me for dinner. They told me that they couldn't because they put all the breakfast ingredients away. As a traveler, this was really disappointing to me. I was really hoping they would be excited to share a menu item they were proud of and make me a dedicated GFG enthusiast for life. So next time I'm in Reno, I'll probably try some place else. Any since I'm feeling a bit jaded, I might have reviewed the salmon lunch paleo bowl a bit harshly or maybe I just prefer raw salmon.

Great food any time of day. Eating healthy at a good price is always nice. Customer service is always excellent. The warm kale salad and vegan BBQ sandwich are my favorites. Don't forget to try the chai tea cookie either. Breakfast burritos can't be beat...especially if you add avocado. Go now.
(5)Anita T.
So healthy and yummy. Fresh and ethically sourced food. I had the kale salad with a friend egg and my man had the chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich.
(5)Justine F.
A friend and I stopped in for dinner the other night. I have 6 words: VEGHEAD sandwich on dutch crunch roll. So very delicious. MMM It contains a bounty of delicious vegetables, yummy spreads, and cheese. You will not regret it if you're a vegetarian.

This place is amazing and sadly closed on Sunday! Maybe there just not into the church crowd;)

Captain Whole 30 here with a glimpse back in time to one of the early entries in the Captain's Whole 30 Blog. For those that haven't been following, I started the Whole 30 diet on Jan. 1 as an experiment to see if I could actually do it, and to drop some poundage and feel better for my upcoming wedding. Leaving my living quarters and venturing out into the great unknown of this planet presented interesting challenges, and Great Full Gardens was one of the few available refueling stations that offered sustenance for those of us engaged in this experiment. Here's a glimpse into my adventure on Day 7 where I ended up needing to stop at this location to fuel up... Captain's Blog Earth Date 1/8/15: The struggle is real! I've been on this planet for almost 8 days, and I can hardly believe the experiment is only 25% complete. It feels like an eternity! To stay within the dietary regulations of the experiment I've kept myself pent up in the living quarters, which has prevented me from seeing the outside world. Venturing out alone, I'd feared that I'd starve to death, or worse yet, succumb to the temptations that are present all around. See while it seems there are many on this planet involved in this experiment, the reality is that a majority maintain a diet very similar to what I'm used to at home, and this has kept the cravings alive and well inside my system. Thankfully I've surrounded myself with others who have embarked this journey as well, and they are my only solace... well sort of... On Day 7, mission failure almost occurred! Thankfully Jaci, my sister from another mister, was there to rescue me as I floundered at a local coffee shop, too far from the home base to return for sustenance, and running extremely low on fuel in my pack (aka I had no snacks). Luckily she was able to geolocate me and help me navigate to an approved refueling station (Great Full Gardens Midtown Reno) for a Double Edge Paleo Bowl packed with Brussels sprouts, kale, grilled veggies, and well seasoned tri-tip. This was the first time I felt as if I'd actually filled my reserves. After downing that, I needed something sweet, but there was nothing to reach for except some nuts. I've begun to realize that cashews have something within them that seems to trick my brain into thinking I've eaten something sweet. It fades quickly. My caregiver took me out for dinner on Day 7, after a nice workout at the gymnasium. Of course we hit the Supply Depot, aka Whole Foods Market Reno. It was a cabbage fiesta with Indian flavored cabbage, more brussels sprouts, and sauteed cabbage with bacon. Fortunately they all looked different thanks to the flavorings, but in the end they were all still cabbage. Filling, yet not too flavorful. I'm still surviving, but the cravings and temptations abound making this a mission critical turning point. Will I make it?

Love this place!!! I cant get enough of it. Everything is fresh and so delicious you cant understand how it can be so healthy. Their gluten free bread was so good I Had to question the waiter and make sure they didn't accidentally give me regular bread. Their vegan cheese is amazing, it melts just like mozzarella. The vegan cheese gluten free pizza might as well be from naples and their raw food deserts are insane! i have not ordered a single thing there I didn't like yet and it has been a huge challenge for me to find gluten and dairy free options that are satisfying. I drive into Reno just to get a great full gardens fix.

Food so nice we came here twice! My fiancé and I were staying in the area for a weekend of skiing and I was in desperate search for some quality food when I found this spot on Yelp. I got the Garden Breakfast both mornings because I was instantly hooked and craving the hummus and lemony flavors of the sautéed veggies. I asked to get it on top of black beans instead of toast and they happily fulfilled my request. My fiancé ordered what I recall being a pumpkin panacake. It was a delicious and huge, fluffy pancake thing that was too tasty by itself to add syrup to. The food was great and fairly priced and the service was friendly and compliant. I wish they were local to my home in Sacramento, CA!
(5)Carolyn R.
Happy family!!! We are totally delighted to have found this spot! Being allergic to gluten, eggs, and dairy we actually had no problems getting an assortment of food for the everyone. This is a kid approved spot and we will be back soon! This had great service healthy fresh creative food and fun vibrant atmosphere. Yum!!!!

Oh sweet Lord, is this place good. SO grateful for my Carson City friend, who knew where to take a vegan/vegetarian straight off a looonnnggg flight to Reno. This place is almost, by itself, worth getting on an airplane again. The menu offers carnivore, vegetarian and vegan options. My friend's an omnivore, but she knew that I have been vegetarian for many years, and recently been eating more and more vegan. I had plenty of selection at this restaurant, as did she. We celebrated my arrival with glasses of red sangria, which were delicious. You also have the choice of white sangria, but we did not sample that. She ordered a chicken salad and loved it. I ordered a vegan BLT sandwich that came with a side, and I chose cole slaw. The tomato soup was highly recommended, but their soup of the day was pumpkin, and I decided to try that. The soup was delicious. The sandwich was filling and delicious. I even liked the cole slaw, especially since it didn't have red cabbage in it. I don't care for red cabbage, because it tastes bitter. Great Full Gardens had one of the best cole slaws I've had in a long, long time. I'm getting hungry again, and my mouth is literally watering, as I write this. It was that good. I wish we had Great Full Gardens in my town.

This was my first time here. So many people have pushed me to try it, stating it was the best! When I arrived it was very hard to find parking. (In their defense it was probably my timing 1:00 on a Monday) possibly was lunch rush time still. When I did find parking there was literally a line out the door. Once everyone made it inside I asked if they did orders to go. The lady handed me a menu and pointed to a lady in the back corner that could take my order. Once I made my way past the very full Resturant, I stood at the counter to make my selection. I ordered the pollo salad to go. I told the girl taking my order that I was on my lunch break, and asked if they could have it quickly, being kind of nervous at how overwhelmingly busy they were. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I waited at the counter for about 10 minutes, when she brought me my food. I was impressed at how quickly they made it. On top of all the to go boxes they write a positive saying like "no bad days" or mine said "you be loved". I enjoyed the salad and will be back to try other things.

ALWAYS a treat! Great Full Gardens has so may delicious and healthy menu items. They're great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Paleo bowls, burgers, seafood, salads, Pupusa, or liege waffles, it's all outstanding! And when I leave I feel nourished by mother nature herself, ready to take on the world. My only wish is that they are open later and on Sundays so I can eat here more often...
(5)Alyssa Y.
I think that Great Full Gardens offers some really yummy healthy options but I just wasn't all that impressed by the restaurant. I think they are a little bit over priced and the ambiance of the restaurant confuses me: it is an awkward mix between casual and nice. The food is pretty good but I didn't find that it was spectacular by any means. I tried the Wasabi Bowl and the Brownie A La Mode. The brownie tasted like a cake and the Wasabi Bowl was pretty good but for the price, I would have rather made something similar at home. The staff is friendly and this is a good place to go, but it certainly isn't a place I will be visiting often.

Now that my little sister is all grown up, she's introducing me to new eats around our hometown whenever I visit. She's been talking about this place for a while and even brought me a delicious apple chai vegan cookie last time she visited. She knows that there aren't that many vegan spots in Reno and that I am partial to vegan/vegetarian food so she took me and my bf here for lunch this weekend. This place has a relaxed, hippy, cafe feel. We ate at the counter but there are plenty of tables for dining in. She raved about their sandwiches, so that's what we tried. Although many of the entrees for dinner look yummy too! My vegan Reuben came with crunchy sauerkraut and gardein protein on Rye, drizzled with my favorite, Daiya cheese. You get a choice of sides with the sandwiches: coleslaw, chips or quinoa. I opted for the quinoa and it was fluffy and taste with some veggies mixed in. My sister's sandwich, the Veghead, had a bunch of mouth watering grilled veggies on Ciabatta bread, definitely a great choice. For those of you that love Thanksgiving, their Thanksgiving sandwich (non-vegan) was what my bf ordered. I had a bite and thought it was really good: turkey, stuffing, fresh cranberry sauce on whole wheat. Hearty and filling. Prices are not too bad, $5.99 for a half and $9.99 for a full sandwich. I was fine with my half but would have not finished the full sandwich unless I was starving. Definitely worth a return visit. I'm grateful for Great Full Gardens:)

First time eating here and I will be back! Menu has a good mix of Paleo, Vegan, and traditional food. I am doing a Daniel Fast, so the menu accommodates wonderfully! There is something here for everyone to enjoy and they serve the most perfect Chai Latte! I told my server it was the best I've ever had! My entrée was the Paleo Heaven with Salmon. Delish! Great Full Gardens is my new fave!
(5)Stanley I.
First time at this place and the food and service is awesome! For all you pesto lovers they have a mean pesto sandwich!
(5)Kat C.
I wanted to like this place and I still think they have good, hearty, healthy food and a very lovely friendly waiting staff. However I ate here three times the first week of April when I came to Reno to visit my husband, and while I enjoyed the dishes I tried, I got horrible food poisoning from this place that I'm still feeling the effects of. I had the warm kale salad with chicken each time I came and I think the last time my chicken wasn't cooked to temperature or was handled incorrectly, because it tasted a bit strange. Sure enough, next day I had the effects of horrible, intensive food poisoning (I'll spare the gory details) and my husband had a lighter version of it since he only helped me finish my chicken. It seems to have been salmonella, which is still churning around in my system and giving me health issues. I get incredibly nauseated whenever I think of Great Full Gardens and I really think they should reevaluate their kitchen procedures since it seems I'm not the only one on Yelp who have had experiences with their poor back of the house food handling.

Fresh! crisp! large portions...and I could live off the "corn/coconut/sweet potato" soup No, I am not making this up...It is THE best soup you will ever encounter in your life...trust me...you will hear angels and weep from joy...also lets not over look the wait staff have such a gentle and loving spirit that you actually feel like you are wanted here...( I mean here on earth not just here in this restaurant.) If food is supposed to nourish your soul as well as the body you will feel it for the first time here and wonder why you don't feel like this every time you eat. Every place else is just a place to eat food.....

March 22, 2014 Saturday - lunch 1:45 PM 2 adults Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Late lunch before the shopping run begins. Atmosphere - A small strip mall with a small parking lot. If you can find parking on the street go for it. The restaurant itself has local artist work hanging on the walls. The place is just maxed out with tables as it is just a box, just rows of four person tables. It has an almost cafeteria feel in the place. Even with that cafeteria feel it still a warm place. Food Drinks - I just had water. They have a bottle sitting at your table waiting for you when you get there. Appetizer - none. My Main Course - The first thing I read was the Beautiful BLTA and that is all I had to read. It is served on Naan bread. I could have been given a stack of that bread and just went to town on it. Bacon was done perfectly and the avocado was fresh. Dessert - Wife is craving a cupcake from Batch so we went next door. No review at this from Batch from me as I was stuffed. Service - Our waitress was busy but was friendly and helpful. What sticks in my mind was that three different staff members thanked us for coming in and have a great day. Future - Love to come back here and I know my wife would too.

It's crazy to realize that healthy options are actually tasty! I had a perception that healthy and tasty wouldn't go together. Wrong! Haha We were en route for breakfast and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the frittata... Delicious! I chose bacon, broccoli, spinach and roasted red peppers. The veggies were cooked perfectly. Not too raw not over cooked, broccoli still crisp. The atmosphere is excellent. It is very open but you definitely don't feel crammed. I will be eating here again and definitely need to stop by for lunch and another time for dinner! Loved it! Def recommend!

It really frustrates me when restaurants don't take allergies seriously. This pretty much set the tone of our experience here. I asked for no seeds in my salad. The server assured me that it was no problem. My salad came out...picked up a piece of lettuce and what do you know...a sunflower seed fell on the plate. I looked further into the salad and found a good handful of seeds. Wonderful. I didn't even want to bother with it and decided not to eat it. I ended up giving the salad to my mom instead. Ugh. When the server came back, my mom told him about the seeds and we received a guy on defensive mode. "Uh, I'm sorry. I TOLD them not to put seeds in it. Yeah." Yeah ok. Great, buddy. One seed and the repercussions would be horrific. Otherwise, it's such a shame because my dish was super tasty. I had the special, teriyaki pineapple sea bass with quinoa and veggies. The fish was cooked perfectly but I don't think it was worth $32. We also ordered the chicken paleo bowl. It was decent...the chicken was uber dry. The spaghetti pesto was dripping with oil. I'm talking about the bottom of the bowl having a good inch or two of oil. Blech. The salmon we added was overcooked and the pasta was not al dente. The place was busy but there were tables available. Parking seemed to be a little difficult but you'll eventually find a spot. Great concept, frustrated about no acknowledgment of allergies, a defensive server, tasty sea bass that will put a hole whole in your pocket, oily pasta, and dry chicken. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3...barely.

I have been to Great Full Gardens now, and it is nothing short of amazing. It's hard to believe that healthy food can be so good! The best thing about going there to get food is that all of the employees are so nice and welcoming. I have tried the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, and the Paleo Chicken Bowl, and they are both awesome. You can tell that they prepare their meals with only the highest quality ingredients, and that is was they pride themselves on. Not to mention, the quinoa salad is great too! I have not really been a fan of quinoa, but they have changed my opinion. I highly recommend that everyone tries out Great Full Gardens, you wont be disappointed.

I'm going to be honest and say that I had low to no expectations coming into this restaurant. The reason my friend and I stopped in here for dinner while in Reno was because he is vegan and we saw they have vegan fare, but luckily this omnivore wasn't left with a simple veggie burger and fries. First let me say that the service was great, our server, a nice lady whose name I have unfortunately forgotten sat us quite close to closing time and graciously gave us time to decide, as well as providing the great recommendation of their pupusa. As far as decor this restaurant has done a solid job in creating an environment that is homey but not so much that it feels untidy or unprofessional. Also they had a great playlist going, so kudos to you guys! Now to the FOOD. I ordered the El Salvador Pupusa, which, although I've never been to El Salvador, is making me el salivate just thinking about it. It was beautifully balanced, topped with pico de gallo, melted cheese, chicken and avocado among other food stuffs. The chicken was juicy and the soft tortilla was heavenly. It is a tad small though, but I that's probably just me being selfish. Even then that was not all, because I also ordered one of their traditional waffles for dessert, and that thing was absolutely brilliant. Thicker than a traditional waffle, my only complaint is that again, it was not large enough. The outside has a light glazed finish that complemented the crispness of the waffle, and the dough itself is sweetened, so syrup is just redundant (don't do it. just don't). I also found that adding some of their homemade spicy oil (complementary at every table) made for a unique sweet and spicy experience that I would recommend to the adventurous. Unfortunately my friend did not have as great an experience with their Vegan Reuben, but hey, it's a vegan meat and cheese sandwich. :/ We're not expecting a miracle. Tip to avoid disappointment? Don't order vegan. Just enjoy the craftsmanship their kitchen has to offer without limiting their options. (OK so I'm a little biased.) Great Full Gardens is an exceptional establishment all around, so I'm happy to give 5 stars. The only thing I'd change about it would be its weak pun of a name. They could stand to have something a little more elegant.
(5)Ellie B.
OMG, their pupusa with chicken is INCREDIBLE!! So fresh and filling, but not like "oh god that was too much food and I feel greasy and fat" full. SATISFIED. Prompt service, great server, fresh ingredients I mean you can really tell how fresh everything is. Husband had the paella which he was blown away by. Be sure to sign up online for their $10.00 off coupon! Must try their waffles next time, curious how they are
(5)Julie L.
This place is simply faaannnntastic. This has become my favorite place to eat, second only to Campo. The only reason I took 1 star off is due to the fact that I can't justify paying $5-$6 for half of a sandwich. Their sandwiches are truly gourmet though, my favorite being the veghead. I love that their food is relatively healthy without sacrificing taste. They have a huge selection of desserts to choose from, but I always go back to the apple chai cookie. It's shaped in a flower petal with maple syrup icing on the top- slightly crunchy on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside. The center of the cookie is filled with apple pie filling. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it's a great place to eat lunch with a friend, a family member, or to discuss work over. It's located in midtown, which is ideal for someone who's looking to eat somewhere away from the busyness of downtown.

Absolutely fantastic. Everything here is wonderful, fresh, and to die for. The boyfriend and I recently moved to Reno and this has already become a favorite spot. The service is great and the servers are always wonderful and just seem like awesome people (the vibe I also get from workers at Whole Foods). We have been here twice, only for dinner, and both times it was perfection. The first time I had the "Thanksgiving Sandwich" with the quinoa salad and I also ordered some tomato soup. The soup is locally made and was delicious! Sandwich was on point and the salad was fresh. The second time I had "Chicken Bliss." Don't be scared by the 12.99 price tag...you literally get two HUGE chicken breasts on that sandwich. Both times, I was able to take half of the sandwich home: talk about a deal! I don't remember what the boy ordered the first time but I know he liked it. The second time he order the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was yummy. We also tried the Apple Curry soup on our second visit and it was different and delicious! You can't leave without trying and Liege Waffle. Oh my gosh. These things are to die for. Seriously. Plain is my favorite because it doesn't need anything else to make it good because it's already beyond perfection! There is some type of sugary mixture in the middle of the waffle and it is just wonderful. I can't ever eat a normal waffle again. We will be back. Again and again. Oh, they also have a sign up program you can do which will eventually lead to money off your meal! We have already used it once!
(5)Ashley N.
This is my favorite place to eat at in Reno, NV. I love that they have a large selection of vegan options. The environment is very cool and artsy and the staff is always super friendly with great suggestions. I've always enjoyed all of the food I've had there. The reuben is my favorite and the soups are great. Definitely check this place out if you're in Reno!
(5)Phil D.
I highly recommend the Thanksgiving sandwich! The atmosphere of this place is awesome and I especially like that everything they serve is extremely health conscious. From the agave soda to vegan options, they have you covered! They have a great outdoor seating area and service is very efficient, so the wait times are not bad. From the hostess (who works her rear off doing all types of things) to the wait staff, you will not be disappointed! Go now and stop reading this review!!!
(5)David A.
Everything about this place I loved! Great food, good atmosphere and it's fresh and different from other places.. Would recommend to anybody looking for delicious and healthy options.
(5)Ron W.
My favorite place to eat! Incredible food and great place to have organic, vegan or gluten free options. Love the service and the place is full of goodness and love infused food. Raw desserts that will blow your mind. I always feel good when I eat here. Get on the rewards program here it pays you back 10% on what you spend that's amazing.

What an interesting experience I had at this restaurant. It was equal parts awful and wonderful. We were a very large party (about 8 adults and 4 kids). The hostess told us we were too big and it would be hours before she could seat us. I was really hankering to try their food, so I asked if we could get food to go and just eat it at a table on the sidewalk right by the restaurant. She smirked and pointed me to where I could order and hesitantly let me take menus outside for my family to decide what to eat. In the time it took for us to figure out our order, a set of 4 tables close together opened up outside. Since there was no one inside waiting to be seated, we asked if we could take those tables. The waitress serving the outside tables very rudely told us fine but that we were too large a party and we would have to order our food to go inside. She wouldn't serve us. It still floors me. She didn't want to serve us...because we were a large party. Perhaps she allergic to tipping. Between the rude hostess and the rude waitress, we probably would have just left, but we had young kids who needed to eat. Thankfully that's where the bad experience ended. The woman who was working the to-go register was a peach. She was polite, very patient with our large order, and gave me really great suggestions on off-menu, kid-friendly modifications. She even made sure we had everything we needed (forks, napkins, etc.) when we brought our food to us. I could have kissed her. The food was also amazing. I had the paleo lunch bowl with wild salmon and it was wonderful. The salmon was well cooked and the vegetables were fresh and plentiful. I would get that dish again and again. The tomato soup was also great. My husband loved the Thanksgiving sandwich. All the dressings were very well made too. I will definitely come back here. The food was that good. And I appreciate a place like this exists. I think a person on any diet could find something delicious to eat here without having to special order something. But I hope for better treatment when I do. It always baffles me when a restaurant employs a rude hostess. That's every customer's first impression of your restaurant. You want them thinking the place is full of asshats?
(3)A I.
The menu is awesome! It's hard to decide. We got garden breakfast, huevas pupusa, hemp hemp hooray, leigee waffles, granola with yoghurt. Everything was delicious! The staffs were all super friendly. Lunch time gets pretty crowded but it's still worth the trip. Highly recommended! Very kids friendly too!
(5)Pamela H.
This was our first time at this restaurant & we were very impressed! We had the Paleo garden bowl with fresh wild salmon and I had the salmon burger both were phenomenal. There are so many amazing dishes on the menu I'm looking forward to going back. The staff and the owner were very welcoming.
(5)Heather W.
I really enjoyed this pace, anywhere that sells vegan food is great in my book. Even better, my kids love everything here. There price point is great for vegan and organic food. Absolutely the best brownie al-a-mode I've ever had! the staff seems a little aloof, not rude, just not polite either, also they had something wrong with each meal we ordered, nothing big. Mine had the wrong bread, my husband got a half order when he ordered a full order, we didn't complain in the restaurant, because the food was delicious. I've held off about a month on this review because I really giving bad reviews to places that I enjoyed. We are 95% sure that my husband got food poisoning from the pulled pork, it's the only thing that we didn't both eat in that time frame. That being said we will totally give Great Full Gardens another try, because shit happens. It was a very busy Saturday night when we were there, its almost expected that food prep will take a hit when you have an out the door line.

Do yourself a favor and head over to Greatful Gardens! Your body and mouth will thank you!

The food is fresh, service friendly & helpful. I have had meals with friends, vegan & carnivorous alike, & have yet to hear or experience any complaints. I plan to be a returning customer as long as this wonderful restaurant is in existence.

Do yourself a favor and try a liege waffle, whether it's alone or as a liege benedict. Just.Killer. This is an (obviously from the lines and waits at peak times) popular midtown eatery that has mastered breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. The food is delicious from their signature (always available) tomato basil soup to vegan to paleo specialties. There's lots to love here. The staff is friendly and always on the ball. Yummification happens here.

What a find. Fresh. Tasty. Personable service. Friendly Atmosphere. I will be back next time to Reno. Thank you for the great food and menu.
(5)Karina W.
The food is crazy delicious and the servers are adorably friendly. Everyone needs to eat here!! You won't regret it :)

As a vegetarian, I always appreciate restaurants that have many vegan and vegetarian options. I had the vegan parmesan it was extremely good! The meal came with a soup or salad option and I picked the tomato soup, while the soup had good flavors it was just a tad bit salty. For dessert we had the vegan pumpkin cookie with coconut icecream *drooooooooool NOM! NOM! droool* We came during Happy Hour so drinks were 1/2 off (a plus!). Lastly, our service was really good! Our server has mastered the talent of making certain we had what we need, but doesn't interrupt you every time you have a mouth full of food or interrupt your dinner conversation.

After a verbal recommendation steered me toward this place, the stars finally aligned and we were able to stop by for a meal when they were open. Actually, they were about to close, but Gino met me at the door and insisted that we come in. We were pretty tired, but hungry; so we went on in and didn't regret it. I had the Reuben and Susan had the naan BLT and they were great (a Reuben is one of my benchmark foods that a lot of places can't seem to get right...). The owners are passionate about the sourcing of their food, so if that is important to you, then these are your people. For dessert we had the waffle Sunday - the Belgian waffle had these real delicious sugar pearls on it. I was a newcomer to this restaurant and kept wondering why the staff kept mentioning the soup - it turns out that soup is one of the specialties - so, I apologize to you, Gino, for not trying your soup. I normally don't order soup at a restaurant, but the next time I'm in, I will try a soup! Susan mentioned that this will be one of the places that she brings her out of town friends, so you guys get the 5 star!
(5)Kevin W.
The atmosphere is very pleasant. They cater to vegans and meat eaters.; varied choices on the menu and the food is excellent. I had the vegan hash which was very good. The only disappointment is they are closed on Sundays. That's kinda dumb, but I guess they don't need the extra $$$$.

Excellent place for a healthy quick lunch! I've been here a half dozen times and everything is wonderful! I actually received a gift card from a friend to this place in April 2015 and I've loved it ever since. The Paleo Bowl with chicken is tasty and plentiful for lunch. The service (yes, even during lunch) is prompt and friendly. The servers know the menu very well which is helpful!

Our office ordered a carry out of 5 orders. I went to pick it up and still had to wait, but everyone working there was very nice. Then I was told that one of the food orders could not be made as ordered - why didn't they tell the person who called in the order? So I had to tell them the phone # to call to find out what they person who ordered wanted to do about it. Then I had to wait awhile for the new food item to be made. I stood around about 20 minutes. They could of at least offered me a cookie or something while I waited. It was busy because it was lunch time. I think one of the people (of 4) who waited on me was new. I would go back because the food I ordered (a BLTA) was good. The sandwich was on gluten free bread that tasted good but was on the small side. The quinoa salad that I got with it was good but needed something - maybe some lime or lemon juice. The pickle was limp and I didn't eat it. It is really hard to find an open parking spot.
(4)Grace G.
Yum! So many delicious choices for a vegetarian but at the same time my meat loving bf can get something tasty as well. We love it here, the atmosphere and attitude of the employees is always bright and happy! Love the rewards program as well. :) :) Parking is a bit of a hastle though......

I feel like such a fool! My team and I eat here 1 to 2 times a week. Yet I neglect a review. Today is a fluke I am home on a saturday... (usually working, my assistant took the weekend off..so instead of trying to do everything by myself. .I took it off with her).. Oh where was I...oh yes catching up on reviews....yes.. I eat here so much I get my $10 off a lot.which is a nice bonus. Paleo bowl is my standby...vegetables are ALWAYS cooked fresh. We order to go usually. Except when my boyfriend begs me to go there on my days off. He loves the pasta dishes and turkey pesto sandwich, which you can get gluten free. The atmosphere is not my favorite. I really do not like sitting in the middle of a huge room. Back to the positives.... they have a perfect wine list, good price point. We have had their fresh fish on Fridays and it was the best sea bass I have had in a long time. Their quinoa salad is a great side...especially if your lucky enough to be there on a day they have a blueberry compote melting on top...and just the right amount I might ad. I have personally never had their breakfast. However I send all my clients there...they rave about it...veggie Benedict and breakfast pizza are the hits. My only recommendation for midtown restaurants. ..when your neighbors eat at your establishment as much as we do. Delivery would be awesome! We don't always have time to run over...we would tip that person well just for the convenience. ..Btw we usually order after the lunch rush anyway

What in the world is this beautiful oasis in Reno? How is this place not busier at 10 A.M. on a Saturday? Is that a strip club next door? These are just a couple of the questions that come to mind when stopping at Great Full Gardens. Being an out-of-towner I'm always on the everlasting Yelp search for great meals. Jackpot! I think I may have found one of the best breakfasts in Reno for sure. Everything that was served to my table looked, smelled and tasted amazing. From the eggs and bacon to the choclate waffles and crazy banana apple pancakes everything was scarfed down and enjoyed and not a complaint could be heard. The place was very charming inside and I encourage anyone staying downtown to make the walk over here and enjoy. They also have Kombucha which is always a big plus in my book. Highly recommend going, I know I will when I return!
(5)Jen K.
Great Full Gardens is a great option if you're looking for casual healthy cuisine in Reno. I particularly like the Paleo Bowl with wild Sockeye Salmon. The service is consistently excellent, and the quality of the food has been on point each visit. They are very popular and always busy.
(4)Mickey S.
Been here twice. Sandwich was decent. Decent ingredients. Figures the third time I brought my husband. What an embarrassment. Not only did four other customers who came significantly after us get served first. My husbands sandwitch was gross and so was mine. Dried up cold reheated turkey! In the end they comped some but still charged me for an item that I never got! I don't know what happened. Was good, is no more. Not one person actually said sorry!!! Epic, epic fail.
(1)Jason I.
Best place to eat in town! I feel good when I eat at Great Full Gardens....like the Hawaiian diet: If you eat something and get more energy, eat it again. If you east something and get less energy, don't eat it again. I enjoy Great Full Gardens several times a week. Even the raw vegan pies and deserts that have alive enzymes are the BOMB and I feel like I didn't have sweets at all.
(5)Sarrraaa E.
One of the best meals I had while in Reno! Started with the Aztec D'oro, it wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of spice. Ordered The Bedazzle Liege Waffle and half the Tuna melt for my meal. The tuna melt was a tuna melt...but the waffle... The Bedazzle Liege Waffle - Let's just say if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life this would definitely be in the running. Please order this if you want to know what happiness, perfection and sunshine tastes like. Atmosphere was great, delicious food, friendly staff. One of Reno's gems for sure.
(5)Mary L.
Whatever the soup they have that day..GET IT!!! It may sound totally weird! But get it! The restaurant is always full. So be prepared to wait for a table. I dig the fresh healthy vibe of this place!! GET THE SOUP,
(4)Jenny B.
I do love Grate Full Gardens; however, BRING BACK THE VEGAN ALFREDO. Why would you stop having that? Also, I wanted to try the Fungi vegan pasta, but there was no way to take out the garlic, as I was told the sauce is "made in advance". That worries me because your food is supposed to be fresh.
(3)Karamjeet K.
This place rocks. Best gluten free cheeseless pizza I've ever had plus I got an egg and avocado on top. It's on the normal menu, so don't be afraid to order from there, even though they have some pretty gnarly specials. We can't say enough good things about our waitress Shannon. She was professional and had great service, but at the same time relaxed and easy to talk to. Please create another restaurant branch in Boulder, CO! Woo!
(5)Stephanie S.
One word can only describe this place...WOW! I must share my secret, I had passed by this place many times on my way to another restaurant right next door, yet had never stopped in, until a day spent buying organic seedlings at Whole Foods with some friends, left us starving, and wanting to try something...well, Organic! The first thing I loved about this ADORABLE restaurant was the simple fact that there were fresh flowers adorning the front doors. Silly maybe, but it made it feel welcoming to me, which this place has definitely already achieved! We decided to eat outside, seeing as how the seedlings were in the car with the windows down, and it was at least 85 degrees out. The huge umbrellas shade diners from the blistering sun and glass jars of water sit waiting to quench your thirst. Some of the bottles have little sayings on them like, "Peace and Joy" to remind you to smile, the salt and pepper shakers were all unique, ours happened to be cats! Even the coffee mugs were all different with sayings and things, as if they came from my grandmother's kitchen and not a restaurants kitchen. These little touches really add to the truly organic and almost home-like feeling of this eatery. The waitress was prompt with a smile and answered every crazy question we could come up with, even when we asked about the fact that they get some of the products from the local Whole Foods and even the Great Basin Co-op! Not only are the fruits and vegetables they use organic and local, but the beef grass-fed, the chicken free-range and they even offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options for everything. Talk about hitting the nail on the head! We ordered our sandwiches with salads and I ordered the, "Mediterranean Manta," soup...I hope I spelled that right, (Probably not) regardless, Holy WOW. Boca crumbles in an amazing broth with veggies, bow tie pasta and a dollop of Greek yogurt on top! I only had to ask the waitress 1000 times what the name was so I could absolutely remember the name...in which she replied with the name...again...with a smile, sweet as can be. To top it all off, the literal and actual owner of the restaurant, Gino came over and talked to us. His enthusiasm boiling over as he gushed about his passion, his restaurant, how they grow their own tomatoes, and how he sells his soups (Gino's soup) at Whole Foods in the freezer section... (Not the Manta though, not yet anyway, I looked today!) He showed us his (pretty fricken awesome tattoos), Tomatoes on a vine on one arm and his logo for the soup on the other. His passion for what he is doing in this community was truly moving and quite the inspiration for this 25 year old Culinary Student! What struck me the most about him, was not only did he take the time to make damn sure, everything was running smoothly, and every customer taken care of with 100% customer service, but that he took the time during such a busy lunch rush, to visit each and every table, and talk to anyone who wanted to listen about his passions, his restaurant and why he does what he does. The fact that he is so involved only made this place that much better! I just cannot say enough, how much I loved this place and cannot wait to go back!
(5)Ximena L.
Excellent restaurant. Came here for breakfast on a Monday. Food was exceptional. I had the Liege Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. My mother had the Garden Breakfast and it was also well received. Portions were filling without being ridiculous and the price is just right. It's a large and comfortable space and the service was friendly and attentive. Will certainly return.

When I went to visit friends in Reno, they were very insistent that we should go to Great Full Gardens, and now I know why! It's a great casual place for lunch or dinner with good food, friendly service, AND a cupcake bakery next door. What more could you want? There's a large dining area and we were able to walk right in and sit down on a weekend at lunchtime. The menu offers a good selection of soups, salads, wraps, and sandwiches at reasonable prices. I'd heard their tomato soup was amazing, so I got that and a grilled cheese sandwich. The tomato soup lived up to the hype: rich, flavorful, and satisfying just on its own, but it was even better with the grilled cheese. The liege waffle was slightly disappointing... although it was a large shareable portion, it seemed kind of limp and dense, not special or unique enough to bother ordering again (especially not when there are cupcakes nearby!). Table service was fast and friendly, and our server was happy to answer questions about the menu and stopped by regularly to check on us. There were vegeterarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and they seem very accommodating of dietary restrictions. All in all, a healthy and tasty place for a casual meal, and I'm definitely coming back for that tomato soup next time I'm in town.
(5)Melanie P.
I'm not from the area so I haven't taken advantage of all their delicious options on the menu but the one stop I made will keep me coming back every time I visit. Establishment looked like it might be small from the outside because of how many people were utilizing the patio area but when we walked in it was pretty spacious with many tables. They already had water at the table with glasses, waiter approached us immediately after being seated for alternative drinks. I had the Elvis Presley waffle and my husband had the Paleo bowl. The waffle was really really good but I was all about the bowl my husband had. It was so fresh with all clean meats and eggs. I don't eat eggs and didn't order the bowl without because I wasn't sure the ratio without would be worth it. The bowl actually comes fully stocked with veggies and having no egg wouldn't be a big deal at all. I am so glad we tried this place before we left town. Clean healthy food with many alternative eating styles options is what's on the menu. They offer a tofu scramble and a soy-rizo plate as well. I can't wait to explore this menu every time I'm in town and look forward to all the great dishes I'll discover while I'm here. Staff was beyond nice and courteous!
(4)Jon C.
Awesome food. I get the wasabi vegetable bowl, the bruschetta, and the waffles. You really can't go wrong eating at Great Full Gardens.
(5)Marian B.
My sister found the add in edible RENO TAHOE, and I loved everything about it. The food was wonderful, I forget what mine was called, but it was a rice dish with veggies and nuts, yum. The server was funny and charming. Mostly, my daughter has a serious gluten allergy, and they have gluten free food so we can take her to lunch there. Finally, the Latte I had was the best I have had since I was in Spain.
(5)Katie G.
The food here is just amazing, plain and simple. Lively atmosphere, outdoor seating option, friendly staff. I'd definitely go back.
(5)Lauren M.
Friends who live in Reno recommended this place and a group of us went for brunch. I eat like a child, so I wasn't expecting many items that would appeal to me, but boy, was I wrong! I started with a bowl of their home-made tomato soup and WOW, was it good. Creamy with chunks of tomato, perfect spices, accompanied by sourdough bread. It was so big, I should have just gotten the cup. For my entree, I opted for the 1/2 turkey Reuben sandwich, with Cole slaw. The rye bread was perfectly toasted and the turkey was juicy and moist. Add the perfect amount of 1000 island dressing, sauerkraut and plenty of melted Swiss and you have food bliss! The accompanying Cole slaw was crisp and tasty; however, I prefer more dressing on mine as this seemed dry. The other items ordered at the table included the chips/salsa (fresh and home-made), the lemon/artichoke soup (which was rich and tasty with a little tang from the lemon), the salmon sandwich, on Ciabatta bread, which was so huge it had to be attacked with a fork and knife! Hubby said the side of Quinoa was the best he'd ever had. Also appearing at our feast were the Elvis Liege waffle (which was an amazing improvement on a traditional Belgian waffle, and I loved the history about this waffle provided on the menu) and a Paleo bowl, which was HUGE and looked way too healthy and grown up for me, but the one who ordered it ate every bite! Good service, a little slow on drink refills and forgot some stuff we asked for during the meal, but overall, not bad for a busy mid-day rush. Stop by if you're in the mood for some seriously good tasting food - even if you eat like a kid, I promise you'll have trouble deciding on just ONE thing to eat!
(4)Chesty L.
Wonderful place. The "vegan" scares people away but they have Non-vegan food too!!!! I love their veggie pizza and soup is delicious. They great coupons which they email sometimes. The one on UNR is alright, but this one is much better. Note: I've never tried their breakfest menu or salads, so I don't know about that.
(5)Morgan K.
Great place to go anytime to get a positive vibe. Fabulous staff and food at reasonable prices. Love the vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menu options. ... What more is there? Except wanting to go back ASAP. Gratefulness to the Great Full! Peace & Love....
(5)Stacey S.
This is a great healthy addition to the Reno dining scene. It doesn't hurt that you can enjoy a glass of wine or a local beer while eating a vege-filled dish. I like the size of the menu and all of the options they have. Some items are a little pricey... you can have a $10.00 bowl (try the Wasabi bowl - it's delicious), but to add chicken it's an additional $5 or $6. The tomato soup is great and I've enjoyed what I've had there so far - the Quinoa Salad, the ham and cheese sandwich and the Wasabi Bowl. Will definitely be back!
(4)Debbie W.
I went to Great Full Gardens for the first time. Great food, great service. My server, Pat, was awesome. He was super friendly and made some recommendations. I had the Bomb Salad, and it was a treat. My daughter had the BLTA and loved it. I will definitely go back.
(5)Erika S.
I have to admit I've been won over by grateful gardens. I love the consistency! I've been at least 10 times and the food and service are consistently good. I love the shaved ham vs Canadian bacon on the Benedict and the breakfast potatoes are a yummy mixture of organic gold, purple and sweet potatoes. The frittatas are really good and my boyfriend can't get enough of the liege waffles. My few complaints are still the Luke warm water, being closed on Sundays when they have a thriving breakfast business and the lack of hot sauce available. Their home made variety is good but come on tapatio and cholula are a breakfast staple :)
(5)Aeron Z.
The food is good. The service is very friendly. The only issue is the wait.
(5)Jim T.
Gino and his staff put out the healthiest, best tasting food in Reno. It has become our favorite restaurant!!! They are opening a new restaurant in South Reno-can't wait!!
(5)Jade M.
A personal favorite to go to for lunch with friends. Seriously, the best grilled cheese and tomato soup combo I have ever tasted.
(5)Steven B.
Liege Waffle was wonderful but don't get this if you want a regular, american type waffle you can put all kinds of toppings on. Not even syrup even though they supply Maple syrup (not Karo). Butter only on the Liege. Delicious. Free WiFi although you need a password. I didn't get one cause I was reading... Good coffee. Nice and quite at 8am but weekends may be a challenge getting in. We've tried a few times and finally succeeded on Tuesday at 8. Good service. It's a keeper.
(4)Amber M.
Where do I even start? Great Full Gardens is hands down my favorite restaurant and it's because their food is great and they have a plethora of vegan options. They also cater to gluten free, paleo, vegetarian, or just anyone that likes to eat! I really love that I can dine at Great Full Gardens with anybody no matter their dietary preferences. The food is fresh, made with quality ingredients, and on top of everything - tastes amazing! My husband and I eat here all the time and especially love when they have special menu nights (such as Valentines Day). The atmosphere is casual, with ample natural lighting, and indoor or outdoor seating.
(5)Monika G.
I found Great Full Gardens this year after searching for a restaurant I could order a true paleo meal. I immediately fell in love with the "Paleo Heaven" dish but was a little disappointed when I found out the lemon basil dressing that came with the dish contained a canola blend oil. Which was ok at least they did inform me of this so I could ask them to hold the dressing. Yesterday I found out they listened to my concern and have switched to using 100% olive oil. It may seem small but it is not common for a restaurant to realize their mistake and correct it. Also the quality of food and service are unrivaled in my opinion.
(5)Meredith P.
What more can you ask for, supper nice staff, freshest local organic ingredients, and supremely delicious omnivore and herbivore menu...I have a hard time eating anywhere else in Reno! Come early for lunch b/c it's obvious how great this place is it's always packed. Try the soup specials and veggies will be in heaven with the neatball sandwich on fresh made garlic focaccia bread (if not vegan get real mozzarella) ENJOY!
(5)Krystal P.
The food here is amazing! I have tried a variety of items from their menu, and they are all fantastic. Because of their attention to detail, you know you are putting good food in you. Some of the produce they grow themselves! It is an amazing feeling knowing where your food is coming from. I took off a star for two reasons: one, the parking is awful per usual in Midtown. I strongly suggest they work out some sort of arrangement with the disgusting hotel next door in terms of parking for guests. If they are busy, you will have to park for away and walk. Depending on how much time someone has, that may deter them from eating there. Two, the service is usually pretty slow. If you go during lunch, expect a longer lunchtime. The food is worth it, but go prepared for those two things.
(4)Tiffany S.
Great service and the heartiest and healthiest options! Return customer from out of town!
(5)Darrin F.
Amazing food, great knowledgable staff, one of the best organic/raw food places for grinds I've ever been to!! Highly recommended!
(5)Dustin V.
Their food is to die for! But I'm positive if you ate it everyday you would lose weight it is so healthy and pure! They use the finest organic ingredients, and is a foodies dream place to eat. The customer service is awesome, everyone is super friendly! My favorites are the eggs benedict for breakfast, and their fresh tuna sandwich for lunch.
(5)Jeff M.
Very good food and selection for reasonable prices. The food is fresh and that makes a big difference. The kids menu is not so great. The portions are small and there aren't a lot of choices. Other than that, (and being located in dumpy Midtown), we've been back a few times.
(4)LM N.
food is ok. the place is tiny in a small strip mall and always feels crowded. I'd rather go to Laughing Planet. Same food ideas, around the corner in a better location.
(2)MB B.
The first time I tried the tuna salad ...it was absolutely meh! Nothing really great about it! Except the 3 cherry tomatoes that came with it! The cilantro dressing absolutely greasy and had no flavor ....ugh ! The second time ( I know, I can't believe I went back!) Ordered the pesto spaguetti ....I got a bowl filled with pesto pasta swimming in oil? It looked like soup....absolutely unacceptable!!!! That was it for me!! If you want to eat something healthy, organic and delicious go somewhere else!!!
(1)Shondra B.
This place is great! They have a wide verity of foods for vegans and even a paleo section. I love the fabulous FBLT. What ever the sauce they use on this keeps me coming back for more! The soup man really earned his title, I haven't had a soup there I didn't love. I always get a cup, the bowl is enough for a meal on its own. There is always a long wait. I waited for a seat for 45mins once. So unless you get a very long lunch break I would recommend calling an order in to go. The owners are always there working with their staff and the woman owner goes to each table and makes sure the guest are satisfies! She is really nice and genuinely cares about your opinion. They have a points system where you get rewards for every dollar you spend. You just sign up on line and the points start adding up!! This place is a little on the expensive side, but that's what you get when you eat natural organic local foods. I say it is worth the price at least every once in a while.
(4)Bon S.
Everytime I have been there the service has been wonderful and the food more than delightful! A must try are the stuffed mushrooms! Mmmmm. This place is more than worth checking out Bon. Oh, some of the best salmon in town. Always fresh!
(4)Lindsay J.
First time here while in Reno, loved it! Bruschetta is off the chain and I had the grilled cheese with avocado. It was awesome. Super cute place and it was packed until after they closed, get there early for a table!
(5)Kenneth M.
The liege waffle and Benny are great Service: warm without being clingy. Food: good quality. Just wish there breakfast potatoes were cooked more. More caramelization and flavor. Decor: Bright and fresh Local Products used: check check check Food: good quality all around maybe a dollar more than I would like to pay, but still a good value. Portions: Not bad
(3)Joshua S.
Awesome food, exceptional service. Lots of healthy options as well as gluten free breads. I eat here almost 5 times per month. Utilize the rewards program, they practically pay you to eat there! Only complaint is the seating gets a tiny bit crowded during rush hours and there's almost always no parking so you have to walk half a block, but that's just midtown I guess. I love this place. Eat here. You won't regret it.
(4)Pam L.
I had heard great things about this place, but I wasn't expecting much. I have been here several times and loved everything that I have had. Wonderful service as well.
(5)Sherry M.
I know I have reviewed this place before but I don't know what happened to my words as they seem to be gone! I will NOT be goin back to this place because the price is exceptionally high for the food you get. The avocado on my miniscule sandwich was totally black. Yuck ! I also found it to be one of those places that seem to be not quite clean enough
(2)Barbara A.
The best Turkey Pesto sandwich in the world!. Service is occassionally slow. Great desserts too.
(4)Yvonne S.
Had the Terrific Turkey Pesto, and it was pretty terrific! Picked up their menu and I can't wait to try more things. Everything sounds delicious and I love that they use quality locally grown and organic ingredients.
(5)Carolyn L.
Good food but when we told our server we were in a hurry, he must have not heard me since he took 3 other tables orders until he brought our checks back...
(3)Agatha W.
I stopped in again last week and oh god oh god the Gino's Raw Power Bowl with added quinoa....SOOOO good. The local kombucha is unique and delicious, try the prickly pear! Also enjoyed the ladies arguing about horoscope compatibility at the next table, lol. I almost wish I had another Nevada trip planned...almost...
(5)Joana C.
My go to place for quick meals, relaxing sit down meals, coffee, place to take out-of-towners, etc. The ambiance is wonderful, the service has never failed me, and there is a huge variety of food (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free). The food isn't good for vegan food, it's good by any food's standard. I eat with no dietary restriction so I can't imagine how much vegans love this place. A vegan haven! Soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts are all made wonderfully and I never leave hungry or guilty--always full and happy. The food loses a bit of quality around the lunch rush, in which there are often no tables open, but that just serves to prove how loved this place is. I've learned to avoid going around 12pm-2pm. Despite the huge rush of customers, servers maintain their composure and provide the same quality of service as during slow hours. Food quality during dinner (5pm-closing) is simply divine. They have a reward program that doesn't require a card or stampcard, only a phone number or email. Their rewards are great and easy to achieve when you go as frequently as I do. If you stop going for a month (which is hard to do), they send you an instant $5 reward. That is perfect incentive for me to go back every time. I suppose I've fallen victim to their $5 reward ploy but if that's wrong, I don't want to be right! My recommendations: Alaskan sockeye salmon sandwich and vegan apple cookie with ice cream. The ultimate lunch!
(5)Amy V.
Excellent food, excellent service. Great balance of vegan, vegetarian, and meat-eating options. Truly something for everyone. The food is delicious and I love that it's from local sources and it's fresh. A great place to eat with friends!
(5)Betty W.
I came in on Monday after running errands, I was seated right away. After looking at the very interesting menu I decided on the Angus Beef Melt. It sounded like it might be a taste treat. It came with horseradish cheddar, garlic aioli, lettuce, onion and tomato. I also had a choice of chips, quinoa, or cole slaw. I picked the quinoa, a good choice, it was excellent, very fluffy with a very tasty dressing. I ordered a whole sandwich, but I ended up taking half of it and half of the quinoa home for later. I slightly warmed it later that night, and ate the quinoa for breakfast the next day. I had never had horseradish cheddar before and the combination of it and the garlic aioli really jazzed up the sandwich and made it special! I ordered coffee to drink, they use coffee from The Hub, so it was a good robust cup of coffee. The staff was on the ball with coffee refills and checking to see if I needed anything else. They all seemed to like working there! I left happy and full, the way you are when you have eaten quality food! I look forward to being able to go back and try something else on the menu.
(4)Phil J.
Absolutely terrific! What a great breakfast. My wife and I each had the Paleo Breakfast Bowl with eggs, salsa, vegetables and your choice of meat. It was fantastic. The vegetables are all cooked perfectly - not oily or overcooked - still crisp. Neither one of us finished because it was so much food. The coffee was strong and tasty. The menu had a ton of great items, but we were burned out on normal restaurant fare, so this was a nice relief. For those with a sweet tooth that have a giant fruit-filled pancake and unbelievable Liege waffles. Service was great and no wait at 9am, but I hear that lunch has a wait list. We are only in Reno for a few days, but will probably be back for dinner or lunch. Prices are very reasonable for a sit-down restaurant.
(5)marissa t.
Great Full Gardens is the best source of healthy, down-to-earth, sustainable food we have found in Reno. We have eaten here almost weekly for special dinners out while I have been expecting our first child and they serve healthy, wild-caught salmon which is hard to find sometimes. We have never been disappointed by Gino's amazing soups and their authentic Belgian liege waffles really taste like the ones we had in Brussels. I also love their chai-tea cookie with coconut ice cream and caramel sauce--a pregnant woman's delight and comes in gluten-free if you need it. They also have shown their integrity in serving agave sweetened sodas on tap with traditional Cola/Root Beer as well as fun flavors like Watermelon Cream versus Coke or Pepsi. Service is usually very friendly and their frequent diner rewards are an added bonus!

I have visited this establishment 3 other times, and felt compelled to go back as each visit was enjoyable. Today was a completely different story!! We went at 1:00 for lunch; it was busy, but not packed. It was a cool-ish day outside, which felt good since we had had 100 degree temps for previous 3 days. I guess they forgot about how high their air was turned up; it was freezing inside! That was not the ONLY problem we had however. We were pretty much ignored by our server for at least 10 or 15 minutes; we didn't even know who they were! Then when she FINALLY said "I'll be right with you" she proceeded to wait on others, THAT CAME IN AFTER US!! We were seated right by the middle aisle so it wasn't as if we were tucked in the corner. We thought about sticking our foot out......haha I was aware of other people that came in after us, and I'm pretty sure that at least 5 tables were served before us :(( If I return I will not be writing a review for poor service, but will get up and leave!!
(2)Maninderpal M.
I ordered the liege waffles and they were declicious, my friend ordered the tofu scramble and it was also super, the service is awesome and they have alot of variety on the menu. The next time i'm in reno i'm defnitely going to check this place out again and try something else on their menu.
(4)Jackie H.
Best meal I've had in years. I had half turkey pesto sandwich half kale lentil soup. Best ever. My husband had the pizza (not traditional ) and said it was the best he's ever had. I'm not but if you're vegetarian , vegan or gluten free you will be in heaven!

Their food can never go wrong. Everything I've tried, I absolutely LOVE them. I have two favorite servers there. One is a lovely happy lady, I believe her name starts with "L" she's always cheerful and fun. The other night, I had Alex as a server and he is also my favorite now. He was very confident with his work, gave us great suggestions, helpful, and happy fun guy as well. Only the down side, I always see some employees eating right at their station where is visible to the guests. I find it very odd... It might be that casual there but I don't think it's professional.. I never known who the managers are. They never come stop by to say hi. It'll be a lot nicer if they all acknowledge every tables. But over all, I still love this place! I always suggest this place to others. Great job guys.
(5)Lynnette B.
I've been here twice and was very impressed both times. I love having a restaurant that serves healthy, organic and local food. I absolutely loved the Paleo Heaven dish, and it is something that won't leave you feeling guilty after you eat it! The desserts on the menu look amazing, but I haven't yet tried them. My only complaint would be how busy they are at lunch time during the week, but then again, it is understandable due to the high quality of food and service.
(5)Cody D.
Still eating my way through their vast menu...haven't been disappointed once!
(5)Marena H.
A little pricey for the small servings but they're local and healthful! Their waffles don't taste anything special for how much they pontificate on their divinity in the menu, but they dress them with amazing toppings.
(4)Michelle S.
This place is my new go-to! I have a lot of food sensitivities so when I go out with friends it can be hard for me to time something on just any menu that I'll be able to eat let alone want to pay money for. This place is great for anyone to enjoy. I've never been disappointed with the food or the great service. The only con I have is that, despite there large amount of seating and tables, this place gets packed and there is often a wait during lunch. But it's worth the wait.
(5)Elizabeth L.
Service tonight was awful. Waiter took forever to even take a drink order and was not the slightest bit apologetic about it. I know it was busy, but a little acknowledgement would have been nice. Food was mediocre at best, my pizza was cold and the cheese wasn't melted completely, not to mention it was on a pita like bread. The only stellar part part of our meal was the bruschetta. The rest isn't worth the prices being charged. Our server charged us twice for a beer they were out of and we only got one glass, not only that he put one of our meals on the bill twice. Homegrown tomatoes, are excellent, but not worth coming back. Go to Sup if you want incredible service and amazing food at good prices in MidTown.
(1)Lorraine E.
Great food!!! My daughter took me here for dinner one night about a month ago and I was delighted with the quality and taste of the food as well as the service. I've already been back two times with friends.
(5)Alex E.
Overall, pleasantly pleased. Staff is awesome...very friendly and welcoming! Meal was sort of hit and miss though. Hummus appetizer was great, very nice flavor and a good variety of dippers. Had the Paleo Heaven...this dish was 50/50. I chose the Alaskan Salmon, which was really nice. Cooked just right, nice flakey texture and seasoned well. The veggies underneath were really inconsistent, and very little flavor. The kale mix was nice with the onion and dressing, but the eggplant, squash and zucchini mix was not that appetizing at all and really was where the flavor was lacking. Dessert was AMAZING though, so a nice finish to an otherwise ok meal. The Apple Chai Cookie was SO GOOD, it pretty much made up for everything else. Sidenote: Bread Pudding...NOT sweet, so if you've got a sweet-tooth, this dish will leave you sadly disappointed.
(4)Jenny D.
Went there for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was amazing! Had the Thanksgiving sandwiche and it was so fresh and delicious. Know I'll be coming back here again for sure
(5)Steve J.
Super fresh food, locally sourced where possible is what makes this place amazing. I've been there a dozen times and the quality has always been amazing. The wasabi bowl and pulled pork sandwich are winners in my book.
(4)Teasha M.
We went here for dinner last night and I thought it was incredible! I like that there are starting to be more healthy options in Midtown. The location is great, the servers are attentive and friendly, and someone who I'm assuming was the manager came over as we were finishing and asked us how everything was. They are open till 9:00pm during the week which is smart in a town like Reno. We went just before 8 and the place was quite busy. We both had the Thanksgiving sandwich and really enjoyed it. The tomato soup is also fantastic, with lots of flavor and chunks of tomato. My friend got a salad with her sandwich and it was a good size with lots of cucumber. We both got half sandwiches which were still pretty big and definitely filling. We got some salted carmel ice cream waffle thing for dessert and it was the most amazing thing I've ever had in my life. Go here.
(5)Mercedes E.
Very healthy place! Even vegan options. Everything was so fresh and the atmosphere is really nice, servers are very nice too.
(5)Megan F.
I absolutely love this place! Such a variety and even my carnivore husband can enjoy a pulled pork sandwich! I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I am in love with the veggie burger! So much flavor! The service has always been great! I also love their rewards program! I have received $10 off my bill every time I have gone! Sign up on their website!
(5)Mac M.
Absolutely the best food. I wanted something quick to eat while I waited to get my haircut and the food here is phenomenal. The staff is cool. The food was delivered quick. My loaded grilled cheese sandwich was incredible. I will definitely be back. It is on the pricier side but definitely worth it.
(5)danielle P.
Just good, wholesome, local food. The veghead wrap is to die for, the quinoa salad is the best. Soups are awesome, and judging by the long wait, all of Reno agrees. For sure one of my fave new spots.
(5)Christine W.
Great Pasta Alfredo along with the tomato soup. Great options for non-vegan as well!! The staff is always very friendly.
(5)Holly K.
Food was pretty good. Restaurant was clean. Service....not so good. It took close to 30 minutes to get our food. No acknowledgement or apologies from the server. We weren't the only customers tapping our toes impatiently, I saw lots of customers hungrily watching the kitchen. Food for several tables poured out at once, ours was included; the table next to us, who ordered at the same time, continued to wait. We were almost done by the time our server stopped back by our table to check in. She'd already walked by my empty ice tea glass about a dozen times. The place was only about half full.
(3)Georgia R.
Delicious! Stopped in on a road trip as this spot had great reviews. The Paleo breakfast bowl was so delicious and I loved the veggie bacon. The menu is healthy and offers great menu items for vegans, veggies and carnivores! To top it off, the staff was very kind and attentive to our table. If ever I'm in Reno again, I'm definitely eating at this place.
(5)Rudy L.
Great vegetarian options!
(4)Laura G.
Amazing! Fresh organic food with a ton of menu options. Love the deserts! Loved the salmon over kale and vegetables. Unique and creative tastes and our waitress was the owners daughter! Talk about family service!
(5)Jason M.
Absolutely wonderful! Had the BLT with quinoa for my side dish. Cant wait to go back. Everyone was super friendly.
(5)Gabriel N.
Thank you Yelp! As a family with 5 kids, finding good organic food on the road can be challenging. We were passing through Reno this week and planned to eat dinner at Whole Foods, but really wanted a sit down restaurant. Yelpers came through this time. Our waiter, Brandon, was polite and attentive. He was quick to provide a snack to my fussy 14 month old (who had been camping 8 nights prior to spending that whole day in the car). The owner (I assume he was the owner anyway) came by our table several times to check in on us as well. Food: We started with the bruschetta (amazing). Wife had the paleo salmon meal. The salmon was overcooked, but everything else was delicious. I had the reuben (not healthy, I know, but I'm a sucker for a good reuben). It was tasty. Cole slaw was fresh and very good (creamy, sweet style - I prefer vinegar to cream on my cole slaw, but know I'm in the minority on that). Soup was an amazing apple curry. Really good. The tomato soup that everyone raves about was a little spicy for me (over-spiced, not spicy hot). On the whole, a great experience. Will definitely be back next time we're passing through.
(4)Laura W.
Food was a little bland (Everything tasted like it was missing something) but the service makes up for it. I ordered soup IF it did not have tomatoes and gave the server an alternate dish of the hummus sampler. When the soup came out it DID have tomatoes, which they replaced with my second dish with no questions. The owner even came out to apologize for my wait. my companion ordered a salad with cilantro lime dressing which he said he could not taste any lime in it at all. The place is a little pricey for what you get, but as I said before. The service is exceptional!!
(3)Jessica D.
I loved the service, the tomato soup was great as well as the pulled pork sandwich on dutch crunch! Yum!
(5)Chris K.
So much has changed on the restaurant/eatery scene in Northern NV since we moved here in 1997, and Great Full Gardens is easily one of the BEST changes we've seen! My daughter is a "mostly vegetarian" eater, and recommended we have lunch here. To sum it up succinctly: It was outstanding!! We were greatly very warmly by someone who I can only assume is a mgr or the owner as if we were old friends. The service was good (though it took a little long to take our order) and the food was out of this world!
(5)D. P.
I don't understand why some of the reviewers raved about the food but still only gave it 4 stars. This is a 5 star experience if you are into fresh foods, vege foods, organic when possible and kale... yum. I have not had a bad meal yet and I have had their salads, soups, bowls and sandwiches. Parking is limited & the seats fill up quickly so get there by 11:30am and you will be fine.
(5)Jules B.
Cool spot for Reno. Huge menu options. A little pricey but high quality ingredients.. Service friendly. Definitely check it out.
(4)Rj T.
Simply fabulous. I have eaten here probably at least three times this week. Fantastic choices and service, and the coconut chai cookie was great as well.
(5)Leslie S.
I love the premise of this place (local, sustainable, and organic food), and the food did NOT disappoint! I had the angus beef melt, and it was DElicious! Our server was very enthusiastic and friendly, and they have choices for all different kinds of diets (Vegan, Paleo, etc.). The only downfall is a lack of parking, but that holds true anywhere in Midtown. Two thumbs up!
(4)Ron T.
Horrible service. We used the "three strikes rule," went there three times and got awful service each time. Won't go back. First time, the server totally messed up our orders (there were four of us), no apologies, only poor excuses. Second time, server forgot part of order, walked by several times, finally had to be reminded that two food items were not delivered. Third time, female server kept calling my wife "honey" and "sweetie." Very condescending attitude. And no dinner roles are provided with entrees, so my wife asked for some toast. The server came back several minutes later with one piece of cold toast and charged us $2.00 for it. Unbelievable!
(1)Tai J.
Thank You Thank You Thank YOU!!! Finally! I have been waiting and hoping for a place like this to open in Reno. It's everything I dreamed it would be! The food is the freshest healthiest most succulent goodness I've ever had in a restaurant and the prices are just right. I appreciate that they have Paleo, I've had all the paleo things on the menu and I want more! Great customer service, everyone's super friendly. This place has been packed every time I've been in, makes me so happy! :) Yummmm!
(5)Chris C.
Travel to Reno for work, and this is hands down the best place I have eaten in town. Will definitely be back, everything was excellent!
(5)Brynda J.
I just found this little place, and their food selection is amazing. Everything from vegan friendly. To paleo plates. The servers were nice and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend their BLT! Parking can be tricky at lunch time
(4)Anshu G.
I was visiting lake Thaoe and decided to have breakfast here based on yelp reviews. I was glad I made the decision as this place didn't dissapointed us. I had the pan a cake and it was amazing. Definitely they have some very good vegan and vegetarian food too. Highly recommended!!
(5)Erin S.
It's been a while since I've been really excited about a restaurant I've visited. Usually because the choices available to me are so limited, I don't have enough to base a fair opinion (with the exception of Claim Jumpers...ugh!!). This amazing new restaurant has an extensive menu with as many GF options as there are menu items. The food is incredible, the decor is fun and funky and promotes a relaxing environment. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about my dietary restrictions. I'm actually excited to go back again to try new menu items. I can't recommend this place enough. You will NOT be disappointed.
(5)Jennifer M.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! It's SO awesome to have a place where i can order more than one Vegan item and not have to worry about being a "pain" with a bunch of modifications.. I would give it 5 stars if they were 100% vegan but it's definitely a great start for Reno! Gino's soups are amazing and the rest of the food is consistently and equally as good - PLUS the owners are fantastic people! Support this local business!!!
(4)Phyllis W.
Great food! I was very impressed. I will definitely go back soon.
(5)Melissa S.
We came here for dinner and were very happy. The menu is very extensive with vegetarian and vegan items alongside other delicious sandwiches salads and entrees. Service was great and our waitress was happy to answer questions about menu items. I will definitely come back.
(5)Paul G.
Great new cafe and eatery serving tasty healthy food. Well staffed, clean and warm. Paleo dishes as well as other meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Casual atmosphere.
(5)D H.
GREAT food but iffy to terrible service every time. I wish they could get their kitchen and wait staff together and organized, it is always a mess when I go in there whether the wait is out the door or the tables are mostly empty. A good restaurant that offers food like this is hard to come by, but I find myself not going the service is lousy.
(2)Christy S.
This exceeded my expectations! Staff was very helpful with menu for wheat and dairy allergies. They go the extra mile to cater to any dietary needs. And above all that, the food was amazing. Plated like a fine dining restaurant and great prices.
(5)Louis D.
I appreciate the natural, whole food, organic, local foods they used. The reason they don't get a five-star is that pre-cook and reheat their Liege waffle. It's not made fresh straight from the batter. None-the-less, the best darn waffle I've ever eaten in my life, and so sweet, you don't need to cake it with maple syrup. The papusa was also reheated and a really good papusa has a very thin tortilla shell. Their papusa was thick around the edges and filled with cheese. I ordered mine with black beans and the beans came on top which further corroborated my suspicion that it too was pre-cooked and reheated. Not a big deal if they cook it earlier in the day, but still. For $10 it was a small single papusa. Okay, the cheese and beans may have been natural and organic, but still, that's 6 2/3x more expensive than a papusa you'll find anywhere else in town. Their papusa is maybe worth 3x, perhaps 4x is stretching it but 6 2/3x more expensive? Uh no. The green sauce was very light and had no effect and there was salsa but no hot sauce, no heat. A for effort but B for execution and price, none-the-less a great source for organic, local foods. All there desserts in their display were also not labeled so I was all like, "What's that?" "What's that?" "What about that?" "What's that?" "And that?" "And what about that?" and never mind. You make a killer mark up profit off desserts, why not label them??? Impulse buy! Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "What about that one?" "and what about that?" "Oh, and that one?"
(4)Frank B.
Atrocious customer service. Not one attempt to correct their terrible service and mistakes. The waitresses don't know their menu, their hours of breakfast, and their cooks don't know how to cook the menu items as shown on the menu. They told me I could not order breakfast when their menu said they were still serving it. And when they did allow me to order breakfast, they didn't even make the order as indicated on the menu. Not once did they apologize for any of their mistakes, they only made excuses about being newly opened. These mistakes are not acceptable for a place open a few weeks, let alone a few months. I discourage anyone from going there until they learn what customer service is.
(1)Lisa R.
Oh delight! My first time here and I'm in love with this place. I had the wild salmon sandwich on gluten free roll. Yum! (I am a little disappointed the kitchen forgot the spicy aioli that comes on it). Bf had the veg head sandwich which he exclaimed was amazing on his first bite. He got his sandwich with the quinoa salad. It was very tasty. Sometimes people don't do quinoa well and it's too hard or "grain like" but this was delicious. And you really HAVE to try the Aztec drink...memory fails me...Aztec de oro or something like that. I'm going to be dreaming about it until our next trip to Reno. Even my non-coffee drinking bf kept stealing big gulps of it. I really should have ordered two. It's like a Mexican hot chocolate turned into a mocha. I loved that everything could be made gluten free, vegetarian or dairy free but it didn't have to be if you want to take your meat loving friends along. Service was great and our waitress was so nice to ask the kitchen about certain ingredients so I didn't get glutened. What a great lunch! Can't wait to come back!
(5)David K.
Great Full Gardens has a lot of nice touches, the adorable dog salt and pepper shakers, the unique coffee mugs for each customer, and the atmosphere are wonderful. The owner brought us our food and told us about the pesto, the basil having been grown just down the street at an indoor garden. Like I said the restaurant has a lot going for it, sadly not the food. There seems to be some misconception that healthy food cannot be flavorful. For an appetizer my wife had the garden salad which was decent, nothing amazing but ok. I had the paleo bowl with salmon for dinner. The salmon was a little overdone and the food lacked flavor, it was just a mix of greens, salmon, and squash with some oil and vinegar sauce. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. My wife had the pesto spaghetti. The chicken was bad, it was overcooked and rubbery. The pesto was good but again nothing special just basil, olive oil, parm cheese, salt, and pine nuts. The noodles on the other hand were great, they were fresh home made and my wife loved them. My wife also had the blueberry cheesecake which was great, not too sweet, good mix of fruit, hint of lemon, it was well done. Our server was great, attentive, and took off the price of the chicken. I would give them another chance but first I would ask the chef to read Nom Nom Paleo and Well Fed to get some inspiration for a proper Paleo meal.

Refreshing option in Reno. Went for breakfast, was greeted by cheerful waitresses and staff. The place is bright and happy. I noticed that all the tables had a different salt and pepper shaker (great touch). I had the breakfast burrito with soyrizo and it was delish (and big). My husband liked it so much that he took his crew out for lunch the same day!!! Like I said a refreshing dining option in Reno.
(5)Kayla O.
Fresh food! Yummy!
(4)Stef M.
Wowza!! Just tried this place for the first time last night at the recommendation of a friend. I'm in love!!! The vegan FLTA was so freaking good... the perfect combo of smokey/cheesy/tomato/vegan bacon wonderfulness... I almost ordered another to take home with me... I declare this the tastiest vegan sandwich in Reno. I want to give the kitchen staff hugs. And the servers were all sincerely nice... I will definitely be a regular here!!
(5)Caitlin E.
Local, organic food with variety! This place is fresh and the staff are helpful in suggestions. There is also a location on UNR campus up by the newer med/nursing buildings. Amazing soup, sandwiches, etc. And they carry hub coffee...mmmmm.
(4)Faye S.
This restaurant is great. Who would have thought that one could find a restaurant in Reno with such fresh, wholesome ingredients? Everything we ordered was just delicious. The tomato soup was amazing and the turkey sandwich was yummy. Nothing greasy. Everything is fresh. The service is efficient and friendly. We've been there twice and going there again tomorrow.
(5)marcia l.
What potential! Friendly, helpful staff were great. Fresh, healthy ingredients. Too bad the cooking was so off the mark. The Wasabi rice and veggie dish was bland as was the Julie stir fry. The salmon was way over cooked -- almost inedible. The scone was a mushy, mess. If you do go there the absolute best item is the aztec coffee. Delicious. If the rating was for coffee it would have been 5 stars.
(2)mary ann m.
Yum! Fantastic service, quality ingredients, a lot of healthy options. The portions seemed a bit small and that's the reason I gave 4 stars. Overall I was very pleased and will be back. The cupcakes at Batch next door are AMAZING!
(4)Keith K.
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, moms and dads the bar has been raised to a world record height. Aint no body gonna beat this place. Bravo, Gino, family and staff, it was a pleasure to eat there 3 times during our 7 day stay in Reno. Nuff said.
(5)Holly H.
This is one of the few places in town that serves wild Alaskan Copper River sockeye salmon on the menu and they cook it perfectly! I am pretty snobby about my salmon having grown up fishing on the Copper River and their salmon is as good as any you would find in AK. Also, their Belgian waffles are awesome and taste just like those you would buy from a street cart in Liege. Might I suggest a waffle cart as an addition to the burgeoning Reno food truck movement? Service was impeccable, can't wait to be back to try their wild salmon eggs benedict. Also love their other location at UNR and so glad they now have a full restaurant!
(5)Sarah O.
I went here for lunch with some friends and we were all incredibly happy with the service and the food. The staff were all amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with everything including our food choices, wine choices and even making sure that our two dogs (who sat outside with us) were happy. All four of us ordered different items off of the menu and we all LOVED each of our meals. The food was creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We will all definitely be returning to this place over and over again.
(5)Adam A.
I just ordered a to go order. The staff was one of the pleasant I've ever encountered. I asked questions about the pastries while I was waiting and they were very knowledgable. I left with my order in a reasonable time. I asked for the green pea soup but they accidentally gave me the tomato. But it was amazing so they get no negative points for the mix up. Completey amazing food and I will recommend it to everyone. Btw. I got the vegan rueban. Delicious.
(5)Deanna S.
I had my first experience at Great Full Gardens in the early evening on a Wednesday when one might expect a new and off-the-street restaurant to be very quiet, but before we left the place was bursting with life, and customers still streaming in! I was delighted to see that Gino and Julie Scala's enterprise is really catching on in downtown Reno! And the food told me why! The menu is varied and imaginative. One can eat vegan or indulge in a delicious guilty pleasure. The service was spot-on and friendly. The environment is light, lively and clean. With the tomato motif everywhere, I can't wait to go back when tomato season is in full swing to see what they do with these jewels of nature's bounty! But I won't wait till then!
