We came here weary glad to find that it was open on Christmas day and boy were we happy! Everything from the veg tofu soup to the garlic eggplant to the Kung pao tofu was great! The service was good too with friendly and enthusiastic waiters. We were so satisfied that we came back for lunch on our way back to Santa fe! Highly recommend Hunan.

First time at this restaurant, my wife had combo lo mein, I had seafood noodle stir fry. I'm not even kidding, coming from Denver with about 14,000 Chinese restaurants, this was REALLY GOOD! Although, how can you run out of egg rolls???? Had to settle for spring rolls but even they were good. I would defiantly recommend this for good tasting Chinese food.

Yo this place looks like your typical Chinese restaurant. The Mongolia beef was good. The general tso chicken was good. The service was great. The fried rice suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Other than that the price and quality of food in a town that is literally just 1 street was pretty good.

This place is by far one of the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life. We only came here because it was one of the few Chinese restaurant in town and my parents wanted Chinese food. We gave the place 2 tries and it failed us both times. The main problem is that so many of their food were UNDERCOOKED! I'm not sure whether it was just because they were rushing the food due to high amount of orders during the holiday season but it was pretty ridiculous. Out of the 8 dishes we ordered in 2 days, the undercooked items we identified were the wontons and the meats in the wonton soup, shrimps in the friend rice, chewy eggplants in the eggplant dish, and even the white rice! How can the white rice be undercooked in a Chinese restaurant? And they weren't just slightly undercooked. We expressed our concerns at the end of our second meal but the waiter came back with a message from the chef that "no one else has complained about the food before". Wow. I gave this place 1.5 stars only because the rest of the food was edible and none of us got sick afterwards. Don't be fooled by the name of the place because it doesn't really have any authentic Hunan (or even Chinese) food. The menu had the dishes in Chinese but you have to read the small descriptions in English because the dish might not match what the dish name is commonly used for. Also, no one in the restaurant spoke Chinese as far as we know. Lastly, the place was severely understaffed. There were only 2 waiters and 1 half-waitress (water refills only) for the entire restaurant. This resulted in extremely slow services for both nights we were there.

Decent Chinese food at a good price. We had take out and enjoyed the generous portions. Hot and sour soup was excellent. Give it a try if you are craving Chinese!

Service is excellent, which is thanks to their friendly staff and efficient handling of orders. However, we, like others, used to love this place and then one day got sick. Called in, no one cared. We are locals and did not go back for 5 long years. Then went back and were fine until this past week when once again both of us got sick from the complimentary soup that comes with the really cheap lunches. Very likely, it was not served at the right temp and although we didn't get violently sick, it gave us both stomach troubles. We will now not go back... although we like the waiters.

We really enjoyed the takeout after spring skiing. I had the generals chicken and my wife had the moo goo gai pan. Both were fantastic. They have a seperate kids menu that my son enjoyed.

Service for take out is extremely poor. They tell you 30 minutes then it takes an hr. will be very annoyed and will not be able to enjoy the food

They offer the same Chinese food that you see at every other Chinese restaurant in the country. However, I was impressed with their service. They were incredibly busy on the day we were there yet they were prompt and professional.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
