Awesome spot! My husband and I were having our doubts about Taos but Gutiz has redeemed the city for us. We had brunch outside in a little garden with lots of pretty flowers around us. Friendly staff, food, coffee and tea were all amazing. My husband had the eggs Benedict with spinach and I had the brie omelette with spinach. We both had coffee and then I had Lady Grey tea after. All around delicious and a must try for Taos!! Lunch menu looks awesome too:)

Had a enjoyable solo lunch here on a Sunday. They were packed, but they nicely took my name, gave me a glass of wine and sent me out to the sunny patio to wait. I enjoyed my wait by listening to 2 aging hippies discuss which protein was the evilest to the digestive system- I believe gluten won. ( NOT making this up.) I ordered the ham and cheese and asked for the roasted red peppers from a different sandwich type to be added. The sandwich was great and huge. They kept my wine glass filled, of course. They sat me by the sunny window so I could read, like I asked. When I asked for help locating a bar at Taos Ski resort, a dude came out of the kitchen and gave me some of the best directions I ever got. "drive straight, tell the dude in the red jacket that you want to go to the Bavarian - wait- you have 4 wheel drive right? and then turn left and drive straight up the mountain for 4 miles. You have driven up 20 degree inclines before right? I'll be there later so you can buy me a beer." Any how, the food was great and I would definitely go back and try the place for dinner.

Nice clean place. Friendly staff. Coffee was never empty. Great filling breakfast with the Green-Chile-Sausage Bowl. A hearty bowl of sliced Andouille sausage, kidney, pinto & garbanzo beans, onions, tomatoes, cheese in green chile sauce. Served with a flour tortilla. Love that green chile slow low burn. Check it out.

My mother and I visited this restaurant while on a quick weekend stay in Taos. The small space has a nice, intimate, friendly atmosphere, and every table was full while we were there, so you might want to make a reservation if you plan on going for a weekend dinner. We weren't extremely hungry by the time dinner came along, so we split the puff pastry starter and an order of the paella. Both were delicious, and the perfect size for our appetite. We also split an order of the lemongrass-lime creme brulee for dessert. The flavor was fantastic, with just subtle hints of the lemongrass and lime. I will definitely eat here again, the next time I'm in Taos!

Delicious & Noisy We seemed to have visited Gutiz very shortly after reopening following a renovation and addition. Everything was sort of unfinished. And, unfortunately, the renovation left them with hard walls and tile floors and little relief. So the sound just bounced off everything and it was deafening. Service was friendly and pleasant and capable. The place is only open for breakfast and lunch, so it is nice to have the option of having a late breakfast. We tried a couple of the sandwiches and a salad and it was all delicious. They obviously have the food part down. Now they just need to finish the renovation and work on some way to dampen the noise.

The eggs Benedict here is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have to admit I had my doubts from the reviews and word of mouth, but they were all spot on! This place is a must for breakfast in Taos. I will return here every time I visit.

Fabulous. Simply the best meals we've had since leaving Newport Beach--- actually, the best meals we've had even in Newport Beach. Had lunch at Gutiz yesterday and were so pleased that we had breakfast there this morning and are going to order lunch to take home today. Wonderful staff. Wonderful owner. Wonderful experience.

I had the Eggs Benedict. Yolks were runny (good), and the potatoes had a great garlic flavoring. Side of bacon was great too. Wife had a steak salad. Steak came uncut, which seemed a little odd. My wife felt the salad was very bland, even with the dressing. Overall, however, the food was good.

Great place for lunch while in Taos. Thanks, Yelp. We were looking for a quick lunch spot and this place was great. My girlfriend and I each had a sandwich with the mixed green salad. The food was great and the service was friendly.

The triple latte and fresh-warm croissant with orange marmalade made my weekend. Even if the croissant was a little over-proofed, the latte was thick, rich, and hot. It almost overflowed from the cup, and was very welcome site in the area. In fact, i had a hard time finding a good Latte in Taos (pueblo area), but this helped me stop looking. This Latin-French inspired (fusion?) restaurant offers breakfast, tapas, and plain old entrees. As far as breakfast we had the Taoseno and the Eggs Benedict. Let me start off saying that the Taoseno was very good, and packed with rice, beans, garbanzos, scrambled eggs, and red sauce. Served with a warm tortilla these flavors melted together wonderfully. The tender beans with the sweet and smokey red sauce melded well, and the tortilla cut the richness of it all. It all came nearly simmering in a clay pot; a very welcome site on a cold morning. The benedict eggs would have just been pedestrian benedict eggs had they not been served in a bowl over crispy-tender potatos. The garlic - bechamel was a perfect complement and change from the traditional hollandaise sauce. It brought out the flavor of each ingredient, amplifying their flavor instead of overpowering them; and mixed with the perfect yolk running over bread and potatos and you've got a delicious morning! Definitely recommend this place and these dishes.

Omg, the Polllo Borracho was to DIE. An earthy "chicken-pot-pie" full of chicken pieces, mushrooms, crunchy green beans and potatoes. Toss in some large beans and a sauce you want to lick off the plate to get the last drop. Cover it with a flaky crust. Sigh. Did I mention it's large enough for two.

Good food but not as generous as I would have thought. I would go back, but it will not be on my Taos "must visit" list.

I love the French toast at Gutiz! The fresh fruit on top the blueberry and maple syrup topping are a wonderful addition. The bread almost has a candied taste. This is a must try for all who visit Taos.

    (5)
  • Mile J.

I don't always eat out, but when I do I prefer Gutiz. The Taoseno is excellent & the French Toast my wife had was so delicious I thought about ordering it as well.

  • Heather W.

Good food, good service. They were out of the eggs Benedict AND chocolate croissants, which was disappointing. They run out of items on the menu, so get there earlier in the day if your heart is set on something specific. I got the parisian crepe, which was delicious. My husband had a delicious omelette. The Mexican hot chocolate was like a punch in the face- very good, but spicy!!

  • Jimbo S.

The Taesano bowl was excellent. My son had seafood linguine (for breakfast) - to each his own! The chicken nuggets (for 5 year old) were light and crispy and very tasty. I was sleep deprived from camping (in the cold rain) and the server kept the coffee coming - gave her a 25% tip for that. Wonderful hearty breakfast that stuck with me all day.

Really not that great, nice service pleasant atmosphere.. I had the crepe it was just ok from all the buzz on yelp expected more.

  • Katie C.

I've been coming to Taos my whole life, and always except the service to be sub-par at best. Not the case at Gutiz! The food was wonderful, and the service was friendly and prompt. We absolutely loved it and will be back for sure.

  • Frances F.

If you're ever in the Taos Plaza area, this is a not-to-be-missed stop for good eats. EVERYTHING is terrific!...and healthful to boot!!! The Taoseno is a vegetarian delight. Also highly recommend the open-faced goat cheese with grapes & pecans sandwich. If you enjoy good hot cocoa with a hint of cinnamon, the house cocoa is wonderful (available in soy). The best feature is the staff -- very friendly, knowledgeable & soooo accommodating. The disappointing part: they're only open for breakfast & lunch -- 8a-3p. Can't wait to be back

Driving from Santa Fe to Denver we stopped off at Gutiz based off Yelp reviews. Hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long while. Their mint lemonade is delightful and my brie, green chile omelet was amazing. My husband's eggs benedict was the best thing, however. Their hollandaise is to die for! Everyone was super nice and the atmosphere is adorable. We'll be back next time we pass through town.

  • Cory L.

We came here for a late brunch after a nice morning hike to some local hot springs... The Spanish Tortilla was so good, we came back the very next morning to get it on our way out of town!

  • Anna B.

First off, they had the best Mexican Hot Chocolate I've ever had - and growing up in FL, and now living in West TX - that's an educated statement! The food was not only delicious, but the presentation was beautiful. Portions were perfect, not too large or small, and good for the price and given the wealth of Taos. It's a popular spot, and we walked in about 9am on Saturday, just before it got packed. Excellent service, and a laid back environment. We would certainly return.

    (5)
  • Shelly B.

Amazing experience! We stopped in for breakfast and were delighted by the outstanding service from the moment we arrived. The waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely personable. The food was DIVINE!!!! I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the sign "Latin French Fusion" but trusted other Yelp reviews. Good thing because the rice/bean/egg combo I had was out of this world. Highly recommend to anyone in the Taos area - one of our new favorites!

  • AVID C.

I love this place! The server was friendly, the Taoseno, a bean, veggie and egg concoction sure to warm both your heart and your tummy, was excellent, and the hubby's ham, eggs, and home fried potatoes made him a happy camper. The little salad on the side confounded him at first, since it isn't a breakfast food to him, but he ate it happily. The baked goods looked tempting but alas, we didn't buy anything. A reviewer wrote that the coffee wasn't too great, but I found it strong, well roasted, and highly drinkable.

  • Charis C.

Food was great! Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and orange juice!

This is my third attempt to eat here. One should note that they are not open mondays nor after 3 pm I walked in and the place was packed at 1pm by 1:40 I was the only one here I sat down scanned for wifi but discovered that this place doesn't have WiFi. That's a minus 1 in my book. The coffee is nothing to write home about. I reviewed the menu and as always I asked the server what their best recommendation would be for a meal. I planned the sandwich with my server and told her when I order I'll ask for "the Usual". This was a bit of a prank on my lunch companion. Like, I'm a regular even though this is my first visit. So I ordered the Ham and Brie sandwich. It was ok but again nothing to write home about. Over all the staff were great and this maybe a better place to go for breakfast. Maybe next time.

  • Jabba T.

Another great yelp find. Super nice folks serving GREAT food! I had the Eggs Benedict- maybe the best hollandaise sauce I've had, right up there with little cafes in Paris. Highly recommended!

Wow, fantastic! Everything was delicious: saltado, French toast, crepe, and sandwich. Just excellent flavors and presentation! Highly recommend.

Loved this place! We had a super nice server who took great care of us and our food was superb. On her recommendation I ordered the crepe - it was filled with brie, ham and mushrooms and had an amazing sauce. Every bite was heaven. My bf loved his steak sandwich too. We'll visit again if we ever come back to Taos!

Cute restaurant. Small patio is dog friendly, but faces the street. Good food, but not great. Crumb cake was good.

Stopped in based on reviews here and they were right--what a delightful spot! We're vegetarian + vegan and they didn't blink about accommodating us. We have two young children, the youngest has significant Special Needs, and again, the gals who work here made us feel totally welcome and wanted. The rest of the diners were all old white people, so we kinda were different but not so you'd notice it by the way we were treated by the staff. We had breakfast, although the entire menu is available the whole time they're open, and everything was delicious. I had a sausage bowl, minus the sausage, and it was green chile spicy (and the green chile sauce is veg)! The children had and fell in love with the Desert Pear Lemonade, which was outstanding. One of my children and I shared the Gutiz Hot Chocolate and oh my god was it wonderful. It's a funky space, well north of the wee "downtown" hub, but you can't miss its colorful exterior. Totally recommend.

Amazing breakfast! I had the crepe and chocolate croissant with cappuccino. Everything was delicious!! I highly recommend this place.

  • L. Z.

The food was great. The parisian crepe and mexican hot chocolate were dee-lish. There were only a few tables occupied and the service was extremely slow. The restaurant only had 1 restroom and it was not kept up (no paper towels and very messy). Overall, great food worthy of 3 stars. The other 2 stars lacking from this review are for the service and messy restroom.

  • Emily G.

Great little breakfast place. Sadly when we got there around 10- they were out of eggs benedict. I had the creole- which I found to be boring. My boyfriend had the brie omelette- which was delicious. The coffee was great and the mint lemonade was refreshing.

Dynamite spot! My wife and I had the pleasure of grabbing lunch here while in town and I'll definitely be going back on my next visit. I noticed the coffee was really really good and upon inquiring learned its roasted locally and was originally obtained through old school bartering -- great minds think alike (great coffee/great food). The highlight was most certainly the Paella...holy smokes. If you are at all a foodie and bask in the delight of things done well-- try it. I could best describe the experience as one in which the flavor reinvented itself over and over. I didn't grab the owner's name but he was really cool and could be over heard telling his chef that things were looking great as they came out-- I loved that! Gutiz is the real deal.

Favorite breakfast ever! Hubby had French inspired crepe and I had Latin based Saltado. Both were creative and supremely tasty! It's a must go when we visit Taos.

We are in Taos visiting family. Took the kids here for brunch --- great service and fantastic food. Owners are super nice.... A must try when in Taos.

The kind of place locals cherish. Creative, attentive, well conceived and executed. For my boy, a home made baguette grilled with bechamel and brie topped with granola accompanied with shaved granny smith apples and berry pure. Yum, right?! The coffee a 10 and the patio in the sun a 10 as well. Next time in Taos, I will be looking forward to sampling more of this Latin-French creation.

Very good breakfast place. We tried their scrambled eggs tower n french toast. Both were pretty good. Service was outstanding... We wanted to try chocolate croissant, they didn't have any left... But the chef made couple for us with plain croissant n chocolate..

Funny story on this place. No one in town we asked mentioned this as one of the top breakfast spots in Taos. Meanwhile, I hopped on the dating app Tinder and asked the one person in town I matched. She was a young chiropractor and said Gutiz was her favorite place for breakfast. (We never met the girl, but took her advise). Gutiz might take more time than others to prepare your meal. Be patient. It'll be worth it. They take care in presentation, flavor, quality and every other detail you can find here. The breakfast is top-notch and tough to beat even in a major culinary city. Don't expect a New Mexican flavor here, but for french toast and other traditional dishes you'll be challenged to find anything better. These folks are true culinary experts. My french toast was incredible. And, every other dish we saw go by our table rivaled it. Yes, it's that good.

  • Jessica K.

Gutiz was amazing to work with (especially Jennifer)! They opened their doors to accommodate our large party on a day they are normally closed. All of our guests loved the food and had nothing but great things to say. Thank you Gutiz for helping make our Car Rally perfect!

  • Bobby M.

We ate family-style, sharing a croissant, French toast, Taoseno breakfast and crepe. Easily the best meal in Taos. This is a "don't miss"!

    (5)
  • Max G.

We had a delicious breakfast at Gutiz. The scrambled egg tower contained eggs, onion, green chilis, mushrooms and spinach. The tower was topped with three small slices of Manchego cheese. I had the homemade toast and my wife had a chocolate croissant. The tower came with two types of homemade hot sauce, potatoes and a small salad. Everything was delicious. The waitstaff was excellent: friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

  • Marisa R.

Came in for breakfast and had the crepes and a homemade chai latte. I was happy. The place isn't cozy, but it was packed and the food was good enough. I like this place because it offers a variety of menu items that do not fall under the category of New Mexican cuisine.

    (4)
  • E D.

The food was really good, but the service left much to be desired. I got no water refills and no one followed up on my meal. No one came to take my check, and I was barely acknowledged when I went up to the counter. I may give it another try, since I did enjoy the food, but service is equally important when it comes to experience, so I hope next time the servers have their act together.

  • Koby C.

We arrived here for dinner the day before they closed to move location. Although the sign read "Dinner served by reservation only", they still let us in. The space was small, and the menu was even smaller, but next to the car maintenance shop, I found one of the best meals I ever had. The soup was creamy, light, and topped off with a stuffed truffle. To date, I can say that I haven't had a more well prepared dish. The rest of the meal was almost as good. We all shared a little bit of our dishes, and everything was excellent. The plating was great, the food was hot, and the service was friendly. It has been a few months since I visited and my memory has started to become a bit hazy, but I have yet to find a whole meal that is superior to the one.

I love Gutiz. The eggs Benedict is delicious. And the desserts are great. Really tasty coffee as well.

    (5)
  • Lizzie S.

Loved this! Great coffee, delicious homemade bread, comfortable atmosphere. Our server was sweet and attentive, keeping our cups full. My scrambled eggs tower was tasty and my husband's andouille was some of the best I've ever had. It's small, and not a huge staff, so be patient. But a good breakfast should be enjoyed leisurely.

    (5)
  • Helen H.

Service is excellent and the food is prefect. Paella is very complex in favor while u can still taste the sweetness of the seafood. The green villi sausage bowl is spicy and just prefect in the seasoning. Last but not least the french toast, syrup is not too sweet while it's the best I ever had.

    (5)
  • Steven V.

Very good restaurant! Had the French toast and was probably the best I've had. My wife had the BLT and she enjoyed it very much. Not the best BLT in the world but a solid choice for some lunch fare. My daughter had the noodles and steak from the kiddie menu and not the best choice for a kid because the meat is tough for little ones and the dish was really watery. Would have received a 5 if not for that. Definitely worth the stop though.

  • Christina H.

Really great service and super food! I had the Parisian crepe with Black Forest ham, Brie, mushrooms, etc. and it was fabulous. The best part was the yellow chile sauce served on the side. It was not too hot but nice and spicy. The yellow chile is from Peru so it has a different flavor than most local chiles. I highly recommend this lovely little place. It has in and outdoor seating.

    (5)
  • Pam C.

I enjoyed this place. Cozy with good service. I ordered the Parisian Crepe. So good! I ate it all and it held me for the long drive home. If I go back, this is where I'll always have breakfast.

We started out our day with breakfast at Gutiz. My wife had the scrambled egg tower and I had the brie omelet. Both of our breakfasts include the Gutiz potatoes. Both of our meals were delicious. For dessert, we shared an excellent cinnamon roll. Service was excellent.

    (5)
  • Jennifer D.

The Green-Chile-Sausage Bowl was excellent but the overall service was so slow and lacking that it overshadowed the food. I would be hard pressed to return.

  • Katharine E.

Dang wow! We went at 9:15 on a Sunday and the place was just about full but we nabbed a table and boy am I glad! I ordered the crepe and my date ordered the eggs Benedict. Both were fabulous! The crepe came with this chile sauce in the side that had just enough bite and the eggs on the Benedict were poached to perfection! No wonder the restaurant was so busy! Wait staff was friendly and attentive and there were fresh flowers on the table. It's a small place maybe come early if you don't want to wait.

we had a late breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the Parisian crepe filled with ham, cheese, onions and mushrooms accompanied by a salad. I also had a generous side of bacon which was perfectly cooked and crispy without a hint of grease. we ate inside because it was very sunny on the lovely patio but hope to eat out there in the future. service was friendly and attentive

  • Lisa O.

Beware. This food will make all other meals pale in comparison. I had the baked brie sandwich w/Blueberry reduction and my friend had the brie omelette. So good! Simple ingredients but fresh and homemade. I am from Denver but will find a way to come back here just to eat here again.

Unfortunately I have to update my previous 5 star review... Tonight I experienced some of the rudest service of my life. Not from our server, but from one of the snooty managers who came to our table while we were finishing our coffee with desert and told " I am sorry I have to do this... but the next reservation is ready for your table now", and then she asked us to leave. We were not camped out, we were enjoying our desert, coffee, and conversation...

We stopped for breakfast on the last day of our Santa Fe/Taos vacation. So much good food on this trip, it would be hard to match. We tried Gutiz based on Yelp reviews and also recommendation from others. Super nice ambiance and food and service to match. Actually, the service stood out as superb. Very nice staff that seem to know all of the locals. Super coffee too, the best of the trip. This is what we ordered: Parisian Crepe Crepe filled with ham, brie, a touch of cheddar, Provençal Béchamel (creamy garlic sauce), onions & marinated mushrooms drizzled with yellow-chile sauce. Served with mixed green salad. Brie Omelette (I substituted Colby jack cheese) Omelette stuffed with brie, green chile & potatoes topped with diced tomato. Served with a side of Gutiz potatoes & mixed green salad. They keep a homemade yellow salsa on the table, so no need for Chohula!

This place is worth every star it gets and then some. Interesting menu items. Well prepared, with massive attention to detail. Case in point. The marmalade served with the French bread is made in house and is fantastic. Really good coffee, perfectly cooked eggs. 10/10 will eat here again.

Nothing extraordinary...coffee was not great..very translucent and not strong. However, my dish was good...See pic. Too many flies in the restaurant though. Nice seating outside.

My husband and I just had dinner here tonight. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had seafood pasta. The lemon caper sauce on my chicken was exquisite and the asparagus, carrots, and baby potatoes were a lovely addition to my dish. Overall, a little pricey, but the food was to die for and the entire experience was wonderful for a date night out with my husband.

My wife and I live in Taos and go to Gutiz once or twice a month. It is easily one of our favorite places to eat in the area. I have never had anything that I didn't love from their menu. The lunch sandwiches are all fantastic - their bread is always great. I would recommend finding a menu item with their Gutiz potatoes (or order them on the side). As for their breakfast: my favorite so far is the eggs benedict. Their french toast is awesome as well.

  • David W.

One and a half hour wait for an adequate breakfast. Repeatedly had to ask where food was, water to be filled, for check, etc. Really disappointing.

  • P C.

I want to give this place 4 stars. The food is pretty darn good. I've had the Parisian crepe and the croque madame. The crepe was fabulous. The croque madame was good. I've had better, but the quality is still there. The problem is their service. Unfriendly to the point of being off-putting. I saw a group leave while I was waiting and waiting and waiting for my food. No smiles, thank yous, or any kind of welcoming service from the waitresses. It's as if we were bothering them. I will probably go back....but I'll know what to expect.

I live in Taos and Gutiz is my favorite restaurant in town, hands down! The staff is always friendly, and the one time I turned away because the restaurant was full and I was too hungry to wait, one of the owners chased me down to let me know that a table had just become available. Great customer service! The food is fantastic and unique, and the owners and staff really do care about good service. I would recommend the Taoseno Rice, the Sweet Melted Brie sandwich, or the Vegetarian Tartine. French toast is also wonderful! Gutiz, when will you open for dinner?

  • Caleb S.

Cute indoor and outdoor. Holy crepes! Sausage andouille was stellar. Fresh baked cinnamon roles with melted butter. Staff was nice. Guitarist on Sunday mornings. Closed on Mondays so pissed because I would be eating there tomorrow if I could.

This is a FRENCH LATIN restaurant. Most of the things on the menu were foreign to my taste buds and words I didn't know. Just a word to the wise, if you are looking for French cuisine in Taos, this is the place for you. Not for me. We took our dog. There were no dog treats and/or sweet talk to her. No one acknowledged her existence. Disappointed.

  • C S.

We stopped in here after the other cafe we were planning on grabbing some food in wasn't opening for another half hour. Our server was extremely friendly, fantastic service. Unfortunately, my basic breakfast was not very good. There was a small toast debacle; and my entire meal was centered around it. Maybe I'm strange in that it's hard for me to eat over easy eggs without some sort of toast as it's vessel into my mouth. I kind of half ate the meal and half just decided to give up, as I am not the type of person to send something back twice. I find that embarrassing. My boyfriend's meal was amazing, however. And thus I know their food is generally very good. The croque madame was superb. His mint lemonade was a perfect drink to wash it all down with. While my food was not to my liking, I'm sure if I returned here and got one of the many other things on the menu, I'd love it. It's probably my fault for ordering something boring off of such a vast, delicious looking menu.

I had a wonderful breakfast at this cozy little spot. I had the Taoseno- which was a trio of beans, rice, potatoes, red and green chile and cheese....so yummy! The service was welcoming and friendly. I am looking forward to going back and trying some of the lunch specials.

My wife and I came by during a short trip to taos. Based on the reviews we were expecting something special but we found it underwhelming. I had the hearty taoseno and my wife had the tortilla espanola which was a nice modern take on a traditional dish. It was a nice departure from the New Mexican fair everywhere else..

I had the most awesome breakfast here yesterday! This cafe/bakery shop specializes in a fusion of French and Southwest cuisine meaning omelets with Green Poblano Chillies served with toasted baguettes and salad. In typical Taos style, place is painted in vivid colors and has that Southwest abode look and feel. Service was friendly and place was super clean. I had the basic breakfast of eggs and meat and toast, but it came with salad and the best home-fries I've had in ages. I couldn't help but notice their tantalizing cakes and pastries on display beside the cash and also ordered a Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese icing to go. It was excellent. I 'm in Taos for another few days and plan on coming back here again before I leave, that's for sure!

Yummm. Gutiz is like a big, warm hug. The restaurant is deliciously, charmingly cozy. The earth-toned walls and tucked away tables make it feel more like a breakfast nook than an establishment. Everything is perfectly cooked in a way you could only expect from your mom&dad's kitchen. Things that restaurants normally mess up (unhappy scrambled eggs, dry chicken) face no fault. The Scottish sausage (whatever that may be) is spicy and gourmet, and delicious with a bite of creamy, chipotle-covered scrambled eggs. The velvety poached egg, atop a juicy forkful of peppery chicken saltado makes for a sloppy mouthful and complacent tummy. There is prickly pear lemonade- fresh and not too sweet, tinted with the flushed pink swirl of chewy pulp. There are spiced home fries, crisp and mealy, and organic coffee, freshly ground, dark and bottomless. There is what my friend describes as "the Immaculate French Toast" (and immaculate it is) -- a battered & bruleed sweet bread, with the caramelized fragrance of orange, cinnamon and mint. It's topped off with sweet fruit & sweeter, golden maple syrup. Though the bill is not as light as the french toast, it won't wipe the fuzzy smile off your face. If you wake up to find that your kitchen is too intimate and not clean enough for breakfast, here is your saving grace. The kitchen's warmth and the dishes' easy comfort will serve you well. Bottom Line: Latin-French fusion colors my day with happiness :)

Devoured the Parisian Crepe. Best crepe I've had in a long time. Fresh baked French bread and homemade orange marmalade also makes this breakfast spot terrific for a first-time visit!

I've eaten here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The croissants are amazing, but they run out quickly. The taoseno, a breakfast dish with eggs, beans, and chile is a must-try, though it may be a bit spicy for some. The goat cheese quesadilla was fresh and tasty. Last, but important, my mimosa was generous!

We stopped here for breakfast the first day we were in Taos. It is a small little cafe the wait staff was really friendly and helpful. I had the brie omelet and hot chocolate it was awesome! I would also recommend the bowl scramble thing they have my sister got this and it was delicious!
