This B&B is under new management/ownership. I didn't have the opportunity to stay there under the previous owners, but I can say they left the place in very, very good hands. This is a beautiful property in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is a nice, but not long, walk from the Plaza (the center of touring activity in Taos), close enough to be convenient but far enough to be off the beaten track. The owners, Purdy and John, literally do everything they can to not only make your stay what you signed up for, but they truly go beyond the call to make the experience just like staying with old friends in their big comfortable home. I stayed in the 2-bedroom suite, the Dreamcatcher suite, which had very comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom, color TV hooked up to satellite service, and fast, fast wireless Internet. This was one stop in a 10 day excursion in northern New Mexico, and this was as nice a place as I encountered. Further, owing to an unanticipated change in plans I had to make a last-minute change in my reservations, they helped me with that cheerfully and without complaint. They stayed open late to accommodate my late arrival, and they helped me get some breakfast to my companion who chose to sleep-in past breakfast time one morning during our stay. Those who know the area know there's nothing better than having friends with a place in Taos with room for guests. Well, you have them. Stay at Dreamcatcher, it really is home away from home.

This is a great place to stay while in Taos. It is very comfortable, the owners are wonderful and it is quiet.

I LOVE the Dreamcatcher! Tucked away on a winding road a few minutes walk from the plaza, this wonderful place is the perfect home away from home. Next time I stay I will plan more time just hanging out in the courtyard where the park-like atmosphere is very welcoming for relaxing with friends and enjoying a glass of wine. Purdy and John are perfect hosts. You'll often find them in the courtyard doing just that - enjoying the good life in Taos - and raising their glass to the impeccable choice they made when they left the hubbub of corporate life in Denver for their little piece of heaven in Northern New Mexico.

Super easy and comfortable B&B. Prudy and John were delightful hosts. It was a pleasure having a nice chat over a delicious spread with breakfast each day. They were very knowledgeable about activities in the area and helped us steer clear of activities that were not going to be prime at the time we visited. Additionally, the accommodations were very spacious and homey. We'd definitely head back next time we're in Taos.

The rooms are impeccably appointed, the grounds are lovely, and the hosts are personable. My only issue is the food--which is probably ideal for some folks but definitely not for me. It's heavy on sugar/starch and light on protein. A disaster for diabetics. If you're there for a day of outdoor activity, your body will not be supported by the breakfast. Had I known in advance, I'd have asked for eggs, cottage cheese, etc.

I just love that place, as much as I love Taos! Owners are very good people, and great hosts! Very helpful, they told us a little bit about around and answer for every question we had. Rooms are clean and nice; I felt there comfortable and after whole day of skiing it was just perfect to start a fire in fireplace! It is important to mention about breakfast. This oatmeal with caramelized sugar was great, but not only this. Owner is a good chef.

This is a gem of a place. The owners live on the property and go to great lengths to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and incredibly well fed at breakfast. We would return for the amazing breakfast alone. Just a short walk from town plaza, the rooms with fireplace and comfy bed are most inviting. Prudy and John were most helpful with directions and suggestions. Would love to return for longer next time. And the price is very reasonable.

We are so very pleased with this bed and breakfast and would never stay anywhere else in Taos! John and Prudy were outstanding hosts and we are more than pleased with our experience here! The breakfast was phenomenal, John even made our daughters pancakes at their request on our last day! The rooms were clean and lots of extra perks in the rooms! We loved being able to go to main lobby and use it for playing card games and eating dinner! Our kids loved the owners dog, Jake, he made it feel more "home-y" for them! Again, we are more than pleased with our stay at Dreamcatcher and will without a doubt be returning! Thanks to John, Prudy and Jake for an unforgettable experience for our family!

We absolutely loved this Bed and Breakfast. Stayed here in December 2014 and it was cute, charming, unbelievably clean and the owners thought of every personal touch!! And on top of everything else, there was a fireplace in the room!

We were looking for an inexpensive place where we could get a separate room for our pre-teen daughter, this was the way to go. Our rooms were connected by a hallway but separate, spacious and really comfortable, in fact our daughter raved about it the next day. The decor is lively, the courtyard is inviting and the front office is a perfect place to plan your adventure around arguably the perty-est country in the state. Spend an evening walking the Taos plaza, check out some local artists, ditch fine dining for some down home grub, catch some music and then wander back down the short walk to this inviting Bed and Breakfast. In the morning over breakfast don't be shy, ask for recommendations on what's new. These people are accommodating and they'll give you an experience you won't forget.

We had a very pleasant stay. As others have Yelped, the hosts were terrific and VERY accommodating and helpful. The facility is nicely maintained. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio area complete with hammocks. It was perfect for our picnic. The rooms are cozy and nicely appointed. But, sorry to sound like a Goldilocks here, our bed was a bit hard and our companions' bed was too soft. This was the only drawback to our stay. That said, the rooms were quiet and we slept pretty well. Breakfasts were tasty, coffees were plentiful, and we had fun chatting with the other very friendly guests during breakfast. We would definitely recommended Dreamcatcher B&B. PS - for media aficionados, the TV sets are quite small & basic. So, it allowed us to disconnect a bit, which was the goal of our trip.

Dreamcatcher is amazing. The rooms and rates are great. The location is close enough to the main town square but far enough away to feel like a true retreat. At my stay the owners were out of town, but the inn keeper they had was AMAZING!! I recommend you do breakfast at the B&B when you stay there and they are very helpful when setting up reservations. They are also gay/lesbian friendly. We stayed in the Bear Fetish room it was spacious and had extra things like chap stick, lotion and shampoo/conditioner just in case you forgot yours. If you are staying in Tao, Nm try and stay at least 1 day at DreamCatcher!

Just stayed for 2 nights for a 33rd anniversary getaway from nearby Santa Fe. John and Prudy are true innkeepers...competent, social, helpful, etc. Property is lovely and well maintained. Breakfast cooked to order, generous and tasty. John takes pride in serving good quality food in different ways. Will accommodate gluten free preferences. Rooms are well appointed and have some nice touches with good bedding, robes, satellite, wi-fi etc. All in all would likely return.

Wow, am I really the first Yelper to write a review of this place? This was absolutely the BEST part about our recent trip to Taos! We have stayed in lots of B&B's over the years, and Dreamcatcher was absolutely lovely. Jill and Bob know how to run a B&B! The room was very comfortable, great bedding, fridge in the room, a little tube of lip balm, all sorts of nice little hospitable touches. Breakfast was delicious and very filling each morning. But best of all is the beautifully designed garden courtyard---this is the picture of serenity, and I truly felt like I was on a retreat. We tried hard not to overbook our days with other Taos sightseeing, because we wanted to be sure to have a few hours just to hang out in this beautiful garden and rejuvenate.
