We stopped in for the open mic/jam, and it was just what we were looking for, a local friendly watering hole with music and good drinks. It was (mostly) very good music, quite varied, from latin to punk to blues to rock, with some jazz. The two guys running the open-mic/jam were extremely adept at supporting the players, and/or getting out of their way. And that's what jams and open mics are about, different strokes, etc. The staff was on the ball, the place was clean and the people were friendly! We'd go back any time.

For years we'd heard radio ads for the Alley Cantina, and during a July 2008 Taos trip we took a break from perusing the street vendors on the Plaza during Fiestas de Taos to duck into this well-known oasis. Our party of four enjoyed the ambiance and the fare, and continued our day's activities sated.

Had a workshop across the street that lasted for a week and ate here with co-workers for lunch because it was the only thing available. First time we went in, they had just opened and when I walked past the kitchen I noticed that produce being loaded into the fridge was just lying bare on the dirty floor. Pretending like I didn't see that, I ordered a burrito. It was terrible. Worst chili ever. It tasted like brown gravy with red chili powder added. Worst part was I got sick that afternoon... and food never gets to me like that. Next day, having no where else to eat and starving, two of us went back reluctantly. We ordered burgers medium rare. They came out well done, but being in a hurry we kept quiet. We asked for the check and gave the server our credit card. She came back with the receipt and didn't bother telling us that she had charged gratuity already, but the "merchant copy" receipt only had blank lines implying we leave our usual tip. At first, we put our tip money on the table but started getting a bit suspicious at the final charge. I asked her about the total amount charged and she kept coming up with excuses about "Oh I charged extra for cheese" "Oh I charged extra for the green chili" etc. Still wasn't adding up and I figured out that she added 20%gratuity to herself. She was trying to pull a fast one on us and I was pretty shocked at her dishonesty, trying to get double tipped. I called her out on it and she walked off saying "Whatever, f*** you" under her breath. A few hours later, I called the manager to tell him what happened and he completely blew me off. After talking to a few locals about the place, they agreed it was a terrible restaurant. The only reason this place stays in business is because tourists don't know any better. Seriously stay away! This wasn't like one little bad experience or hiccup, this place struck out on all counts. Avoid.

Our server was great, food was excellent, and the atmosphere is nice and quaint. We ate here on the last day of our vacation and would come back again. The Silver Coin Rita was fantastic too!

Great find we stumbled upon. Really good pork tacos and enchilada. Service was excellent- we were there at a slower time and were the only ones sitting on their patio outside but got serviced well. Yummy food. Strong margaritas! Great atmosphere. TV at bar inside. Friendly staff. Pool table inside. Totally recommend!

Pretty Good. I especially enjoyed the live entertainment. It isn't a fancy place which makes it very comfortable for a laid back feel. My mother and I just ordered a couple of drinks and some chicken nachos which were huge! The service was also very good. *Order guac on the side, it's not fresh.

I've been to the Alley Cantina a few times and I really like it. They have live music, televisions and billiards. The live music I saw wasn't really wonderful but the sound was really nice. Never once did I hear feedback. They have nice comfy couches indoors and they have marked the spot where Clint Eastwood sat in "Every Which Way But Loose".

Dropped in for a bite at lunch. Had the dog with us, and noted they have ample outside seating, as well as several water bowls for dogs. Also, the patio was VERY clean, which I greatly appreciated. Even the ash trays were squeaky clean. We ordered the fish and chips and a coconut shrimp appetizer. Both were excellent. As a matter of fact, the coconut shrimp was the best I have ever had anywhere. And the fish was several thick pieces of cod- perfectly breaded. I would order these all the time if anyone at home made it this good. Our waitress was personable, and did a great job taking care of us. I simply could not find fault on this trip- thus 5 stars.

Amazing place! Great music! Out of this world food! The environment is so friendly and cheerful. Must go to destination!

The Alley is always open late. It's the "go to" spot any night of the week past midnight ....mainly because everyone else is closed! Located right in the corner of the Taos Plaza. They've got drinks and greasy foods for late night yums. Live performances ranging from acoustic to jazz to dance. Chill spot to meet new people too. They have a pool table.

Weird I thought small mountain town bars valued new patrons whatever this bar has made it without me for this long I'm sure they will be fine.

Stopped here thinking it looked good and hearing it was a nice place to stop. Bad decision. What followed was an understaffed nightmare and a near hour wait for a basic and very average meal. It was so bad I asked the waitress if the food had even been started and in a condescending way as if saying to be patient it's on it's way. A few seconds later the food arrive by being thrown on the table not a anything else you need not a how is everything jot any service at all. Had to go to the bar to get refills and bus the old drinks alone since the waitress did not once stop and see if anything was needed. Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Update: part owner bought lunch and apologized and that went a long way but the waitress was still seemingly disinterested in customer service while saying the bill was paid. It was paid because of your poor service. Way to prove the right decision was made. Appreciate the management response but the waitress lost them a customer or recommendation for life.

This was pretty good for the price - 4 adults, 2 kids, and a few good adult beverages only set us back $100. The food was on par and the waitress was great - none of the bad customer service other Yelpers discussed. The best part was the kids toy store and play area right next door called Twirl. I highly recommend this restaurant and location for families.

Ho-Hum There is a nice outside seating area, but it was full of smokers. So we went inside. Service is lackadaisical. Food is pretty bland. The house salad was a standard mix of greens and some tomato. The green chili was OK and the chicken tortilla soup was somewhat flavorless. There was no reason to go back. Ho and hum.

This is literally the ONLY place open for drinks after like 10pm in the entire town lol. It's usually a bit packed after 10 because the entire town has no where else to sip some libations and party. Have nere tried the food but it always looks good while I'm catching a buzz. Only downside I've experienced is service takes a bit, but with no where else to go late night, you better just get used to it

We loved it! After the lunch rush, before dinner. Staff was so good to us, friends-family of nine with kids...each meal too, was soo good. Fish and chips, burritos, sandwiches, burgers...fun vibe, great food.

The first time I ate here was for a quick lunch, which, I recall, was a quality meal with good service. Went again today, sat at the bar, also had some food an took better notice of the restaurant - patronage, service, and, of course, the food. The waitresses, bartenders and servers were all very attentive to the crowded restaurant and everyone seemed to be enjoying the the fare. I had a simple green chili burger with their excellent onion rings. Will definitely return again for casual dining and drinks.

The food was okay, as many point out, not terrible but not "great" either. The carne adovada is definitely not how it is traditionally prepared. Wanted something unique to New Mexico (you can get a burger anywhere), but this was presented as basically a pork quesadilla and was more like pulled pork rather than cubed meat. No spice to it at all really, not authentic as compared to other legit New Mexico stalwarts. Nice ambiance and all...but kinda divey by comparison to other joints in Taos. If here on vacation, I'd come here for the bottled or canned beer (there's no draft options) but avoid mixed drinks or a full dinner meal. There's better options in this town without potentially getting ripped off. If you're local, maybe that risk goes down a bit. Come here for live music, for a few beers that can't be messed up, maybe an app or two...but not for a full meal. The live music 7 days a week is really the reason to come. I'm not sure if we just had a "bad apple spoils the bunch" type of server situation, but we had an experience in which we felt the server tried to manipulate the final check to skim more of a tip. Another reviewer in March of 2014 apparently had a similar issue. Sounds like this may be an isolated issue, but beware. Definitely double check your bill and make sure everything thing adds up. After you've had a few, it may be the situation that (especially if you're a tourist), they think you're a good mark for the "skim the tip" operation. Here's how it went down: We asked for the check. The small, white printed/computerized receipt for our food/beer, itemizing everything we had, showed a total of 32.00, and was accurate. However, it was stapled to a larger handwritten ticket from the server...but instead, the handwritten ticked showed a total of 35.00 (3 dollars more than it should have been). We leave $40 and expect change, and the server brings said change back as if the total owed was $35.00, not the 32. She also only provided the change, and not with the receipt showing the itemization. In other words, she 'pre-tipped' herself, pocketed the extra $3 in cash and probably expected another 15-20% on top of that. We caught on and offset the difference against the tip, but just be careful here. It may not be a systemic problem or a racket that all the servers are doing, so your mileage may vary, but it's not a good sign in any case. Not only is your food 'so-so,' but you're trying to pull the wool over my eyes, too? No thanks.

Stopped here for lunch in the middle of a roadtrip and the food was wonderful - especially the fries! I got the veggie wrap and it was big enough to have half for lunch and the other half for a snack later.

It's hard to get much more New Mexican than the Alley Cantina! From the 1800's adobe interior and décor to the steady coming and going of regulars at the cantina to their depth of flavors with tortilla chicken soup y chile verde and chiles rellenos con rojo y verde chile, it's well worth the local immersion to Taos.

First the atmosphere and alley it's in is really cute! I was visiting from Los Angeles, CA and found this little place and great find. The happy hour drinks are great. Just like LA! I had the burrito with red chile and posole side dish! Super yummy! Our waitress was a sweetheart! It gets a 4 instead of 5 because it just needs louder music and a dinner atmosphere. Maybe I went on a bad night! But the place can use some more fun!

Disappointing. We had asked some locals for advice on where to eat, and this was our best recommendation. They could not have been yanking our chain, because they later showed up and ate at a table nearby. If this is what they consider good food, I don't know how to help them learn differently. I asked the waitress how spicy the carne adovado was, she said "it's not", so i ordered that. She wasn't kidding. It shouldn't be called carne adovado, it should just be called carne. And even that would be a stretch. So bland it was nearly flavorless. My husband got a burrito of some sort, he said it was okay. It was smothered in green chile sauce, so maybe I should have asked for a bit of that to go with mine. Their only beer is in bottles, but no big deal. The bar is pretty cool-looking, and the rooms are inviting - nice sofas and comfy chairs in the room next to ours, with tvs and a pool table as well. They were setting up for a band while we ate, but we left before it started. Those were some huge speakers for such a small room, and I couldn't imagine how loud it was about to get. They have an awful lot of "Best of Taos" certificates on the wall, but I can't imagine what for - maybe it's better in the summer...?

This place came highly recommended for their green chili cheeseburger - a local favorite, so what did I get?...I'll cut to the chase, it was very good. The service was nice and fast. The food was authentic New Mexican style food. I was not let down and would like to come back when I visit Taos again.

If I could give no stars I would. When we showed up no one seemed to be concerned about seating us. The bartender just said, "I guess just pick a table." After 5 minutes a waitress came by and asked, "Drinks or dinner." When we told her we wanted dinner she looked disappointed and walked off to get menus...or so we thought. She went to a table a few down from us and proceeded to have a long, personal conversation. After a 5 minute talk, she came back and literally tossed a few menus at us. That was the last we saw of her. The bartender came out about 10 minutes later and asked if waitress had come by. I told him that she literally tossed us the menus and left and that we haven't seen her since. His response was, "Ok, so she did come by." Five minutes after that we left. The table next to us seemed to be having similar problems, too. This place wasn't busy at all, just clueless when it comes to customer service. If the service is any indication of the food, avoid at all costs.

I am giving it 4 stars for the vibe of the place, the history and the clientele. The guy who was working the 2 times I've been in there leaves a lot to be desired...but after all it is a bar. The food is decent-not what most people come here for I would guess.

Excellent service and food! What can I say, this is our favorite place to eat in Taos! Especially if you want quick, good food that doesn't break the bank:-) Outside seating is great too! Perfect for those with kids also! FYI: there is smoking outside if you care about that

    (5)
  • Sara G.

Not sure why, in all our trips to Taos, we've never eaten here - it's been around forever and is a must visit. My family and I had lunch here and each of us got just what we wanted - a nice lunch on a sunny patio, good food (catfish sandwich, bbq pork and some kids meals - quesadillas and cheeseburgers, and of course, fries. Service was friendly and great, the food was served promptly, delicious and made perfectly, and the kids were mostly well behaved. All in all, a win!!! We will definitely be back on our next visit. (They have a great looking game room as well, and a full bar).

Cheap-ish drinks. Only place we found in Taos that was open late. We danced to an "Americana" band (kinda overly precious perhaps, with their congas and mandolins and vintage outfits, but I had a good buzz going and found them darling and fun). There was an awkward ten year reunion taking place and I enjoyed making up stories about the reunion goers (who dated who, etc). Aside from us (two tipsy Colorado girls) the dance floor was full of bikers, cute hippy girls, a 70-ish year old lady with a full face of very loud makeup and what appeared to be an ice skating outfit, a guy who reminded me of Bill Murray who was clearly on some really good drugs (he was caressing the air with a beatific grin on his face), etc. The best people-watching I've experienced in ages and I couldn't wipe the grin off my face. My kinda place.

We were very happy with the service (particularly the bartenders) and the margaritas. We were sent here on a tip that they were the best margs in town and I'd go ahead and say that they're the best margs I've had. Not too sweet, not too alcoholic -- dangerously refreshing. There was actual flavor, which seems to get lost in way too many margaritas, especially in college towns (where I live) or tourist towns (Taos). The food was fine, but I wouldn't drag a teetotaler here for the cuisine. It's more about the atmosphere. A placard informed us that it's now the oldest building in Taos, with plenty of history. There's a menu on the wall from the restaurant it used to be (opened in the 1940s; beers were 30 cents). While we were there, the semi-famous Abe of Abe's Cantina and Cocina in Arroyo Seco stopped by to sit at the bar. The bartender, humbled, told Abe that he had sat at his bar many a time. We were charmed out of our socks. Also tipsy.

We went in for a snack and a few drinks. Upon entering the front door, i was overwhelmed with the smell of putrid food coming from long unfinished meals languishing in the sun at the outdoor dining wing. Further in the establishment, we worked hard to gain decent service and finally had to talk to the Bartender whom was very attentive and professional. He basically saved a full degree of scorn on the place.

So....While in Taos last summer, we read a great review of this place and were really itching for a delicious margarita. So we went to check it out. Horror show. I seriously had some of the WORST customer service of my lifetime in this joint. It was a weekend evening, so they were pretty busy. The patio was full so we went indoors to be seated. We were not greeted at all. The bartender was busy with every seat filled in front of him. There was no waitress of hostess to be found. After and awkward 3 minutes of standing there, we wandered around and sat ourselves in a small room (close to the pool tabel). To this day, I am not sure if it is a seat-yourself type place or not. There was no sign telling us to do so, but the lack of communication from the waitstaff caused us to assume that was what was expected of us as patrons. After seating ourselves, we waited for over 30 minutes for the waitress to take our drink oreders. She had seen us; we were doing the "eye-contact plea for service", but she clearly ignored us. Waving got her attention too, but it still took her forever to approach. To her credit, she did apologize, but we were annoyed. We each ordered an alcoholic beverage (3 adults) and my son got a soda. She checked our IDs and returned with the drinks quickly. We placed our food orders and she left us. Beer was frosty and margaritas were stiff and delicious. When the waitress returned, my friend ordered another drink and a shot. She came back with his drink and shot, but told him he couldn't have it because his ID was expired. This is AFTER she had already served him alcohol. We were perplexed. He is over 21, but his ID was expired. And I understand the law.....but why would she decide to NOT serve him after she had already poured the 2nd round of drinks for him?! Perhaps her conscience decided to show up mid pour. Whatever the reason, we were annoyed again that she would serve him one drink, but not anymore. My fiance said he would take the 2 drinks since they were already poured, but due to New Mexico law, any patron can only have 2 drinks in front of them at a time. So she told him to do the shot before she set the other drink (that he didn't order) in front of him. After all this ridiculousness, she warned us to NOT give our friend any sips of our own drinks and that the Cantina could lose their liquor license if we did so. By this time, we are supremely irritated, because she (and another waitress) begin SPYING on usto be certain our friend did not get another drop of booze. Then they served food to the folks seated next to us who ordered after we did. Each of the waitresses made a great effort to crane their necks to make sure we weren't sharing beer with our friend. One of them even resorted to rearranging the salt shakers on the table next to us, just to be close enough to observe us some more. It was as if they WANTED us to feel like they were watching our every move. It was awkward and unwelcoming. It took waaaay too long to get our food (which was pretty tasty) and the whole will serve/won't serve debaucle was irritating at best. Terrible.

A rip roaring cantina right off the world famous Taos Plaza. Located in the oldest building in Taos. Some parts of the building are 400 years old ! It is also haunted. Nice brick floors and massive thick adobe walls. Kiva fireplace and multiple rooms. Billiard room and a game room. Plenty of drinks and average bar fare. I had the Fish & Chips which was beer battered and pretty good. My wife had soft tacos ( beef ) and they were nothing to brag about. Cozy and warm on a cold January Taos evening it will do the trick for beverages and food.

Oh yeah!! Always had A good time here....... Live bands, whiskey shots! and beers on tap.. After a long day on the mountain it's a good place to hang-out for the night.. Always packed when I go in the winter months. Never locked up my double tall bike.... It's a friendly place.. Go!!!

Our meals were mediocre. We ordered Chicken Enchiladas, the Marinated Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tacos. My friend took his first bite of the Chicken Enchiladas and said they were "bland but edible". My Marinated Chicken Sandwich did have a marinade but it was only visible by color, otherwise there was not distinct taste. The Chicken Tacos were just that, run-of-the-mill Chicken Tacos.

Stopped by in the afternoon. Had a half order of beef nachos and a couple of Tecates. The nachos were really good and very filling. The bartender was cute and friendly. Enjoyed the other patrons. They have live music at night and will definitely come back to hang out one night.

The Vegetarian Green Chili stew is fantastic...and the chicken enchiladas are wonderful! One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Taos. Check out Open-Mic night on Wednesdays.

Comfortable, casual local vibe. Didn't stay for the live music but it's probably fun (started at 9:30) Bartender friendly - made a yummy margarita he will tailor with whatever style tequila you like. He seemed to know everyone up at the bar. Most people there acted like locals who'd been coming awhile. Fish and Chips - Fish - more of a fried cornmeal coating than a tempura batter. Good but the flavor derived from the homemade tartar sauce, not the fish. Chips - undercooked, oily, congealed.

I just got back from a trip to Santa Fe and Taos. The Alley Cantina had a great singer who was taking requests from the audience. There were several different rooms with shuffleboard, a pool table, and the main bar area. If I lived in Taos, I could see myself living in this bar.

On a trip to Taos over Memorial weekend in 2005, my husband and I almost lived in this bar. The beer selection and the food were really good compared to many of the other bars.

We went on a Wednesday for karaoke, and the place got packed! Super enthusiastic, friendly crowd of mostly locals. People dancing, shuffleboard and pool. My only complaints: the KJ clearly would rather be DJing a club, and plays 3-5 minutes of Top 40 in between every karaoke song he plays, which makes the list take FOREVER. The menu says this is "the oldest house in Taos". I bet there's some folks in the Pueblo who would beg to differ. -Hallie

WHAT A GEM...... We were on vacation two weeks ago and wanted to find a local place to eat. We thought that this was the place but we were not sure. I looked in the bar and told our friends nah not a great place. Well there was this gal in the alley and she said to me why not this place you need to give us a try... We decided to take her advise and boy are we glad we did. We ordered drinks from the bar and boy did they have a punch... I was the only one that was hungry and ordered a Caesar Salad and it was the best that I have ever had. This was definitely the right place to go. They have live music every night which was a plus. The locals definitely hang here. So next thing I see is the same gal walking in. I figure that she is the manager but she was the owner Jessica. She is funny, friendly, outgoing and passionate about her restaurant. Jessica introduced us to her husband Aaron and we just knew that we had to come back the next night for dinner and told them we would be back. The next night did not disappoint. Our waitress told us that we were to order an appetizer complements of Jessica and Aaron. ( THANK YOU SO MUCH ). Once again I had the Caesar Salad but with chicken this time. The BEST homemade Caesar dressing ( I WANT THE RECIPE if you will give it out send it to my email at markdana133@gmail.com ) was to die for and the chicken was so moist and tender. My husband and the other couple that we were with had the Fish and Chips. They all raved about their meal so I had to try theirs. The fish was full of flavor well breaded and very moist. Once again the drinks were the BOMB... Jessica and Aaron thank you for your awesome hospitality we will be back the next time we are in Taos. Dana,Mark,Pam and John

They get one star for the cod. Otherwise, I would skip it. Given the plenitude of fabulous eateries in Taos, I am very sorry that we wasted one of our meals there.

Very quiet when we were here for lunch. Bartender was doing everything - making drinks, waiting tables, cashing out... Nevertheless, service was businesslike but fast and friendly. Good green and red chile stews and Buzz Margaritas. A few TV screens scattered around for those who want to watch the games. Pool table and separate lounge area. A nice find.

The food is ... well ... Mediocre. I came in with my family on a Saturday afternoon, justlooking to eat. Though portions were very large and (comparatively) cheap, the quality was lacking. Fries were cut thin but mysteriously soggy. Posole was bland, underseasoned, and overcooked to mush. The green chile cheeseburger was overdone to dryness, as were the tamales (for shame! They were actually hard and chewy on the ends!). The waiter was friendly but absent, and the bartender spent several minutes stridently berating a customer about an ordering faux pas, so loudly we could hear him from across the crowded bar... Yikes. There were a lot of people drinking without ordering food so perhaps their drinks are good... But don't come for the food or the service.

I rolled into Taos a few weeks ago cold, tired, and hungry. As a former resident of New Mexico I knew only one thing could make me feel better on a brisk September afternoon. Green Chile... I stumbled upon the Alley Cantina and was happy to find they all kinds of stuff with green chile. I had a bean burrito smothered in green. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. The portions are huge and the prices are right.

Not a bad place, but not great either. On our first night in town, my kids, remembering our visit last year, asked to eat at the place with the old wall...referring to the Alley Cantina's claim to be the oldest building in Taos since once of the walls in the kitchen was from a very old building. As the name suggests, this is basically a bar which also serves food and has live music. However, should you be dining and wish to stay for the live music, you are required to pay a cover charge. We were leaving before the music started so we didn't have to pay, but a gentleman near us who was having a few beers and ordered dinner, had to pay $10 cover. The kids wanted chips and salsa, so we got the salsa, guac & queso combination appetizer. The guac we quite good, however, the salsa was bland, needing quite a bit of salt. The cheese tasted like canned cheese and was overheated. So, we enjoyed the guac and had a little of the cheese. We didn't touch the salsa. I had one of the specialties: Carne Adovada. It was basically a pork quesadilla with a salad. It was pretty good, but not quite what I expected. The others in my party got sandwiches with the house fries. The sandwiches were okay, the house fries weren't. Overall, if you want a bar with live music, this is your place. Otherwise, there are plenty other choices available nearby.

After walking around town for a while we popped in for drinks and a snack for the kids. We were about to sit on the patio but the large group that was out there were smoking like chimneys- seriously Taos just put a stop to this outside patio smoking is ok thing- so we sat inside in a little room next to the pool tables- nice set up and cozy atmosphere with the little rooms. Food was mediocre- hence the stars. Drinks were fine strong marg and beers for the boys but how do you mess up a Stella so no extra points here. Kids had fun playing pool and we got to rest our shopping feet. Waitress was nice but as noted in other reviews service was spotty and sort of a eh who cares attitude. Nice dive bar with a good happy hour- but they could do a better job. Seriously this is northern New Mexico so you can't just bring out a plate of nachos which would pass in a bad sports bar - bring the NM thunder with some epic green chile and this place would be awesome!

I would come here for the drinks, but not the food. The Alley is comprised of one of the oldest buildings in Taos, and there is a pool table and a cozy den in which you can relax by the fire. TVs are situated in the corners, and there is live music almost every night. The big drawback to this place is the ever-present cover charge. My friends wanted to go here, and I obliged, but as we were eating our meal, the door man came up to us and said that if we would be eating there past nine-thirty than we would have to pay the cover, which struck me as being very unreasonable and kind of cheap, especially since we had no interest in seeing the band play. The waitress was kind of surly but nice at the same time, which was weird. I much prefer the Adobe bar, which you don't have to pay a cover to get into. The Adobe bar has a more upscale feel without being too hoity-toity, but if you are looking for a faux-dive bar, than your best bet is the Alley.

Cheaper drinks in the downtown area.. has a happy hour.. unlike the Taos Inn. The couch is cozy.. but be careful, sometimes the waitstaff will forget you. Negative- even if you are having dinner, they STILL INSIST ON CHARGING you the cover for the band..

I'll never forget where I was when I heard Michael Jackson was dead... mainly because the waitress was carrying on about it so. Despite the terrible chips and salsa for $4, everything else about this place was spot on. My friend and I showed up just before 5pm and nary a sole was there. But at the stroke of 5 the place started to fill up with tourists and locals alike for the happy hour specials. This place has a really cozy atmosphere and decent service. The main bar area has a huge skylight in the center with a lot of over grown plants hanging down. It's a great respite from the elements and a cool place to kick back and pass some time.

Terrible.

No thanks.

Avoid.

-Hallie

Go!!!

No thanks.

Avoid.

Terrible.

Oh yeah!! Always had A good time here....... Live bands, whiskey shots! and beers on tap.. After a long day on the mountain it's a good place to hang-out for the night.. Always packed when I go in the winter months. Never locked up my double tall bike.... It's a friendly place.. Go!!!

Happy hour at 5. Half priced drinks and you can sit outside. Good fries.

Definite must do should be on Diners Drive-ins and Dive, looks like a dive but excellent food and must try the Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea Vodka and the service was good.

Great food, awesome atmosphere. This place was a little loud but it brought to the atmosphere. Have to try the burrito and enjoy a beer. :-) Oh, they have outdoor seating as well.

Stopped by in the afternoon. Had a half order of beef nachos and a couple of Tecates. The nachos were really good and very filling. The bartender was cute and friendly. Enjoyed the other patrons. They have live music at night and will definitely come back to hang out one night.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
