WoW! If there was a bed and breakfast in heaven (not in a religious way, but in like the best place you can imagine way), this would probably be it. After walking into our room, it was like all the weight was lifted off of our shoulders. There is definitely something special about this place. Well kept and enough space to roam but us and our dog happy. Our own private outdoor hot tub really finished the night off well. We loved the dvd selection of over hundreds to pick from and the freshly baked cookies in the lobby. The breakfast was really good and interesting and the host and hostess were super friendly and very open to talking about what was going on in the town and where to hike etc.

My husband and I stayed in Turquese for two nights and couldn't be more pleased. The casita is lovely and private. We really enjoyed lighting a fire outside on the patio and eating our dinner al fresco. Speaking of food - breakfast here is fabulous. Overall this is a wonderful place to spend some time in Taos.

We had a terrific visit. Rooms are beautiful. Fireplaces are wonderful. Breakfasts were large and delicious. Renee is a great host. We will be back.

I stayed here with my husband for a weekend visit to Taos, and we loved it! We were in the room that they advertised as their "most petite" (and thus, cheapest) and while it was small, it wasn't teeny like I expected. The room was very tastefully decorated in bold New Mexican colors with a working fireplace in the corner. The inn is a couple of miles away from the central plaza which I thought might be inconvenient at first, but actually it was nice to have it be so peaceful at nice. The drive in to town was easy and the owners showed us the back way as to avoid traffic (priceless information, as it turned out!) The grounds are really lovely with a little farmyard area and hilarious goats and chickens which get free run of the whole place during the day. The owners also have a couple of dogs and cats, so if you don't like animals this might not be your place. I loved seeing all the animals (I attached a couple of pics and one shows some of the animals.) They call it an "inn" but it is a bed & breakfast and the complimentary breakfast was really delicious and artfully presented. They use eggs from their own chickens. Coffee was good. The owners were extremely nice and very sociable. We are glad we stumbled upon this place and already are making excuses to get back. [Oh - and we could access free wifi in our room!]

You can spend less, and you can get closer to the Plaza, but you cannot do better. Check out the walking labyrinth, the Zen garden, the carved tree stumps, the chickens and goats, the amiable dogs and cats, the jetted/soaking tubs for good clean fun, the easy walk to the 1715 vintage St Francis church, the exquisite attention from Katherine, Louis, and Tracy, etc. By the way, Ski Taos is a gem.

We had a beautiful outdoor wedding here with a very intimate service and reception in this adobe fenced hacienda. All of the rooms are very attractive, furnished in tasteful Southwestern decor. The innkeepers were very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here as well.

Jeff and his mother have known Katherine and Louis for a number of years. (They used to have a business on Martha's Vineyard.) Jeff and his mom have been to this B&B before and were eager to return. I tagged along for this trip. We arrived the last day that they had available spaces. They were going to be booked solid for nearly a month after our visit. We had the choice of 3 different rooms. One was intimate but had great light. The next room was larger, a little darker but charming. The largest room (where Jeff and I ended up staying) was huge, in comparison. Jeff's mom chose the smallest room. It has a bed right when you walked in, a closet behind the door and the bathroom was behind a half wall that looked like an adobe wall. There was a small fireplace in the corner. The colors on the walls were bright, but not artificial nor glaring. I would have felt comfortable in this room. (The next morning, she reported that she slept well.) Jeff and I had a room with a kitchenette in it. I think it was called the Turquesa room, though I might be spelling it wrong. It was separate from the building with the office. One of the features that we didn't take advantage of was a private outdoor hot tub. (It was just too cold for me to go out and enjoy, but Jeff would have probably done it in a heartbeat.) The bathroom was huge, had its own fireplace and a large closet. The tub had whirlpool jets. Jeff took advantage of those for his morning bath. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were a variety of pillows, including some extra ones, in the closet. Had we stayed a few days, I could have cooked up some great meals with the stove. The little kitchen was fully stocked. Jeff attempted to light the fire, but was unsuccessful. It wasn't needed, the room was pleasantly warm. The office doubles as a lobby and small gift shop. They featured quite a bit of jewelry, but I ended up picking up a nice scarf. Breakfast was served in an enclosed porch, off to the side of the office and kitchen. The tables and chairs looked like they were pieced together, meticulously, with small twigs and sticks. Despite their appearance, they were sturdy and comfortable. We caught breakfast on the day that they had cheese blintzes. I was impressed by the lightness of the blintzes and the amount of time it must have taken to cut all of the garnish fruit! It was delicious. There are pots of coffee, teas, hot chocolate available in the breakfast area. In the office, they had a Keurig machine, which gave a few more options for hot drinks. Since we were there in the winter, the grounds are in their dormant season, but I can see how it would be absolutely stunning. If it were covered with snow, it would be a whole 'nother level of beautiful. The buildings are very old and so some of the doorways have low overhead clearance. I knocked my head more than once. Despite being right off the highway, I didn't hear any traffic. We went to dinner with Katherine and Louis. They gave us excellent recommendations for what to order and provided hours of wonderful conversation. This was my first B&B experience and I loved it. I hope to return, soon.

Just delightful. A beautiful secluded peaceful setting which encourages peace and serenity. Beautiful old world charm and really tastefully decorated and furnished with natural materials of leather, wood and stone. Wonderful service and truly delicious breakfasts!

We had a most wonderful stay here for a couple of nights in May 2012. We stayed in one of the smaller queen bed rooms in the main building with pretty views of the garden / courtyard. The entire place is just wonderful, in a historic building full of charm and authentic features (e.g. the fireplace with beautiful decor). The gardens were wonderful and the place is run by great, new owners who are very friendly and accommodating, yet also give you your peace and privacy - and wow, does Renee know how to surprise you with most delicious brunch like, multi-course breakfasts. In addition, there was a big selection of dvds and always homemade cookies and lemonade around for a relaxing time on the porch or by the fireplace. Our dog loved to romp with theirs and was also very happy. Service was great and all the staff very friendly. We found our room to be real and cosy, clean and comfy. Some might find it a bit small and the bathroom is separated only by a wall / arch, but not a door. This was a bit amusing, but no problem at all. Our stay was relaxing and a great B&B experience. We'd love to return some day and very much recommend it for a stay in Taos, NM.

We had a wonderful experience when we stayed here for a few nights in August 2012. The gardens are picturesque and the rooms are quaint, clean and really quite beautfiul. The room rates are reasonable and the complementary breakfast is reason enough to stay here. The three course breakfasts were a highlight of our stay- a diverse menu with fresh, local ingredients. The owners are accommodating and have great recommendations for sight seeing, but still provide guests with privacy. It was our home away from home and we will definitely return!

I don't know what else I can say that other people haven't, but I just wanted to chime in with even more praise for this wonderful B&B. We stayed in the Rosa room, and it was absolutely lovely. Renee and Philip take care of everything without "hovering," and the breakfasts were as fabulous as the room. If you have a chance to stay at the Adobe and Pines Inn, you really should!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights while on a little getaway and would unquestionably stay here again. Our room was perfect; the bed was just right in comfort for us (which is tricky) and the bathroom (which was the reason we picked that particular room) was as fab as we expected. I really liked how there was a fire already built for us just waiting to be lit and plenty more wood outside the door. (I'd have loved a log or two of pinon instead of just plain pine, but I understand expense). The grounds are GORGEOUS. Even though it is just off the road, you can't really hear the street and everything has been set up just beautifully. It was too chilly to lounge about in the large hammock in the courtyard, but we enjoyed checking out the labyrinth and spending some quite moments raking the zen garden. With plenty of places to sit outside, including a quiet little table outside out door, it's definitely a place to visit any time of year. Breakfast is cooked by the owners and is delicious! They had no problem at all adjusting the planned meal to satisfy my vegetarian boyfriend or cooking up a whole second helping for him. They also have great recommendations for local food/restaurants. Speaking of the owners, we just loved them. Incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming, they also seem to have a gift for knowing when a couple is open for chatting or wants to be left alone. The gift shop is full of photos and jewelry made by them as well, so don't hesitate to check it out. Which reminds me! The leave the lobby open at night so guests can borrow any of the vast collection of DVDs. I didn't think we would take advantage of that when we checked in but when we found ourselves away in the wee hours (after going to bed very early following a busy day) we were happy to have them at our disposal, The fact that we were able to bring our dog for a nominal fee was a huge plus for us. She really enjoyed the grounds and the other animals. It's rare to find such a nice place that is so accomodating to pets. Be aware: there are plenty of animals about the place. Dogs and cats run about with minimal restriction, there are beehives near the parking lot (which supply the Inn with some fab honey), as well as goats and chickens (they don't run free, but you can visit them if you like, which we did). Locations is actually great, we thought. It's not in downtown Taos, which I found a plus. It's close enough to be there in minutes and adds a minimal amount of time to drives to the pueblo, Earthship headquarters, or the gorge bridge. Definitely a new favourite place. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return.

What a fabulous find! The decor is stunning. Everything is fresh and original and with great colors and earth tones. The beds are great. The food is divine. It really felt like the owners cared as they presented each homemade dish (a new kind of homemade bread each day!), and chatted with each guest. Loved the little two bedroom apartment. Loved the sculptures, the chickens and the quality of the beds.Closer to the main road than I thought but no problems with sounds as the design and windows were all first rate. Plus it is set in a garden with lots of trees and a labrinth. Everyone should be so lucky as to stay here.

I think on the first day of our stay at Adobe & Pines Inn, we were already planning the next time we would come back and stay again. What made me choose Adobe & Pines? All the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We stayed in the Puerta Cobre room. It was a good size and had both a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, with a walk-in shower, as well as a hot tub outside. The inn-keepers, Louis & Katherine, are very down-to-earth, kind and helpful (recommended restaurants, sights to see, provided a local map). The complimentary breakfast was artfully presented (see picture) and kept us full all the way until dinner time. Oh yeah, and they have animals! Pygmy goats, chickens, cats, and a big white dog named Bebe. See pictures. Adobe & Pines is few miles south of Taos Plaza but I'm glad we were not in the thick of things. It was an easy drive to Taos Pueblo, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, and Earthship World Headquarters.

If there is one B&B you stay at in Taos it must be Adobe and Pines Inn. This is such a magical property filled with a warm, friendly, professional staff, old charm, exquisite art, cats, dogs and cute farm animals. When we stayed there we experienced a level of customer service that was above and beyond any B& B experience we had in Taos. For example, when we first arrived I notified the owners that my mother was very ill. Although I had already reserved a room that had one Queen size bed they gave us a complimentary room upgrade for the first 2 nights! Our room felt like a cozy home! It had 2 seperate bedrooms (both rooms had a TV), a nice, large bathroom (with a tub) and amenities (like shampoo, conditioner and lotion), full kitchen, living room and dining area. We really enjoyed and cherished this special room. We really enjoyed our first 2 nites there that we ended up extending our stay there for another 3 more nites. The breakfast was yummy. They use fresh farm eggs from their chickens that they have in the farm (you will see them ;-)....they are so cute). They serve fresh oj and coffee and they have a variety of tea available. There is also a plate of delicious, fresh baked cookies they put out each day in the lobby area. Catherine and Louis know how to run a B& B in a way that keeps guests coming back. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Side Note: We were informed that this place is under new ownership.

How many ways can you say perfection? Wonderful, warm friendly hosts, beautiful grounds, clean cozy rooms, delicious food, spot-on recommendations for things to do, places to go, restaurants etc. My only problem is limiting the star rating to 5 'cause Renee & Philip really deserve at least a10! Will we be back? ABSOLUTELY

Great place. Friendly, really nice accommodations and I love the dogs and cats you see streaking across the yard. Always coffee and tea and freshly baked cookies available in the lodge. We've been back twice and will continue to stay there any time we visit Taos. Fantastic breakfasts. My ONLY complaint is that the rooms are a little dark and the outdoor hot tub, not hot enough. I can live with both of those however - it wouldn't deter me from going back.
