For the area we weren't expecting anything special do to the amount of Mexican food restaurants, however the dishes here are unique. I'm not a fan of the classic bland beans and rice on the side but they served black beans and a cilantro rice that's amazing! I strongly suggest the tamales and real enchiladas(how their suppose to be made). The service is very much so lacking.

Walked in at 12:55 for lunch. Only one waitress was serving 10 tables (I counted). By 1:15, she hadn't even been by my table once to take any kind of order, so I left. Not so much a restaurant as it is a place to just sit and not ever be served. I'm not sure what such places are actually called, but I know they're not called restaurants. If you're hungry, go somewhere else.

Ordered quarter marinated chicken with black beans, green rice and their potato salad. Leg/thigh chicken was old and very dry. Hard to do with dark meat. Potato salad bland. Poor service with only one waitress who never checked on us once the food was delivered or I could have sent the chicken back. First and VERY last time here.

Came on Sunday, the only option was the buffet which was average and $10.95 per person. Could not order from the menu or order dessert. Kids options were still available.

Four stars for take out! We had the most delicious pupusas, enchiladas, and tamales we've had in a long time and we know about those kinds of things. Especially appreciated were the pupusas, some with loroco (a kind of flower bud) and some with chicharones. So, so good. Delicious , crispy curtido on the side and really friendly service. Next time we'll eat in. I hear they have a Sunday Brunch that is to die for.

I'm absolutely addicted to the chicken nachos. I practically survive on them. They also make kick-ass pastas and the atmosphere is airy and comfortable. I'm grateful to live right down the street. It's my go-to comfort food spot when I need a break.

The chile was good. The enchiladas were OK, although the chicken could have been better. The service was good and friendly. Ample choice of food. It's worth the detour if you're craving Mexican food.

Fabulous Central American, American, New Mexican food. Great variety, expertly prepared, served quickly by responsive staff. Not a "Mexican" restaurant although there are a few local favorites. Excellent change of pace, easy access from I-25 and well worth the short drive from Santa Fe. Decor is ordinary, brief wine list, good selection of beers, daily specials.

This was by far the BEST restaurant we went to in all of Santa Fe. I had the Suisas Enchiladas with chicken. They were amazing! Topped with a salsa, guacamole and sour cream and with green rice and black beans in the side, they were perfect. My husband had the chicken and veggie soup with chipotle and said it was the best soup he'd ever had. I wish we were staying longer so we could go back and try more things.

I was tempted to give it five stars, but I don't think that's fair unless I've been there more than once. And I WILL go back. We were there tonight, New Year's Eve, and the food was terrific, the drinks big, and the service charming. We are planning to spend the remainder of the evening at home here in Eldorado and so didn't want to go into the city and wrestle with the crowds at Blue Whatever or Santa Doo-dad. We appreciate that they'd bring a sip of wine to one of our party who wasn't sure if he'd like it.great red-and-green-sauce, which Santa Feans insist on, as well as a complex, well-done mole that rang true for me. Fajitas, both chicken and beef, were worth sampling. Good, good, very fresh guacamole. Tres leches cake and flan were both top-notch. I know Santa Fe is a foodie town, and it's great to see something of this quality in the suburbs as well. We'll be back. I promise.

Saturday afternoon, about 1/3 full of customers. Ordered two beers, sat right next to the bar at the table. Beers did not arrive after five, ten, fifteen minutes. A few more minutes, spotted our two beers sitting at the bar (everyone else had been served). Went up and retrieved them ourselves. Excellent turkey, ham sandwiches, though

Great local option in El Dorado at Santa Fe. Central American dishes, with Mexican and New Mexican offerings. Shrimp dishes are good, as is the potato side and green rice. Wine and Beer license, but try a Marguerita made with agave wine. A bit too sweet for my taste, but my wife loves 'em!

I really enjoyed the dinner we had here. Central American food is underrated and there are not enough establishments that I know about serving it. Service and food was very good. I think I had the Plato Tipico Centro Americano which was a nice combo plate and I recommend it.

We were overjoyed to see this restaurant open up in Eldorado. We have traveled to Central America several times and this restaurant serves the real thing - no Tex Mex here. We had a wonderful Poblano del Dia. It is very reasonably priced with music next door at Mike's Music Exchange sometimes at the weekends. Worth every penny.

What makes this place special is not that it is Mexican but that it is Salvadoran cuisine, unique and well prepared. Authentic Central American dishes in generous portions for reasonable prices were a real surprise, and I think would make the drive out from Santa Fe worth the trip. The Poblano del Dia and the Chicken Mole are not to be missed! And don't skip dessert. We were really pleased and we hope this place is a real success.

I love this place. The ribeye is fabulous. Great hamburger and fries. My wife likes the papusas. They have a nice selection of beers.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
