Super friendly, fun night crew staff. Help create a warm and inviting atmosphere. They also have City Mugs-well the New Mexico generic mug.

Don't expect the typical Starbucks experience from this location. They're well staffed but poorly trained. The baristas are caustic, the drinks are poorly made, and the wait time is ridiculous. Lines, lines, lines! I would rather drink Folgers Instant Coffee than go here again. Tip: Sacred Ground down the street has tastier drinks, kinder staff, and a better environment.

By far the worst Starbucks ever. Waited about 20 min for two...yes, 2 tall (smallest size) lattes. I've seen other Starbucks w/ way more customers & service was half, or less the amount of time it took this place to make our drinks. Crazy fail.

We walked in about 10 minutes before closing time. As soon as we order an employee was walking around telling people that it was time to leave because they were closing. I have never seen an employee tell customers to leave. Once we got our drinks and started to leave they had already started to shut everything down. We will not be returning.

Super long lines, understaffed, low quality- They had four or five people working and yet we waited 25 min. for our 2 coffees and oatmeal. The drinks tasted like hot chocolate (instead of chestnut praline), and they weren't sure how to put the oatmeal together. They did remake the drink, but we expect a lot more from Starbucks. We've started going to Sacred Ground and find the coffee to be just as good, the lines minimal, and the experience enjoyable.

I hate giving such low ratings, but I have to be honest. I went to this Starbucks around 10:30 in the morning on a Friday. I ordered via the drive thru, this alone took 10 minutes. When I was ready to order, they asked me to wait a moment, (five minutes later) I asked if they were still there, just because of how unusual it is for them to take so long. I finally was able to order and went to pay for my drink and sandwich. They forgot to hand me me sandwich, which I had to ask for (not a big deal), but it had already been sitting there, so I was unsure as to why they missed it. As we were driving away, I tasted my drink (I asked for a light version of one of their frapps) and it was clearly not a light version, which would be fine if I was interested in having 60g of sugar in one drink. Not only that, but I looked on the receipt and they had overcharged me for the drink by about a dollar (I go often enough to know exactly how much it should cost, but getting a sandwich was a new thing, so it threw the total amount off). Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. While the coffee and sandwich were good, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to get through a drive-through lane.

Slow!!!!!!! 30 min wait after I paid for coffees! Go to a local place instead! Normally Starbucks are fairly fast, but not this one!

Slowest Starbucks ever! I have been in many Starbucks' with long lines and I have never waited as long as I waited here. They didnt appear to be understaffed, just really slow. The wait time was close to 30 minutes and if I hadnt have been watching when the guy made my drink, it would have been wrong. The next day we tried the drive though because the line was short. It still took much longer than usual (although not 30 minutes this time) and the iced coffee I ordered came out as a hot carmel macchiatto. Save your time and money and look for a local coffee joint.

Slowest Starbucks I've been too. Always takes forever - waited 10 minutes to place an order at the actual order box - not including the 8 it took for them to help the person in front of me. Blocked in so I can't do anything but sit. Going on 25 minutes in the DRIVE THRU lane to get one beverage? Get it together.

Slowest. Service. Ever. Don't waste your time. Employees don't give a damn. I hate to give low ratings but this place is asking for it.

I have read most of the past reviews on this location and can say nothing with the service has changed in the last 8 months. SLOW is the right word. We've popped in a few times while out running errands and it's the same. Yesterday, we walked in to a long line and literally walked out, got in our vehicle and went through the drive thru. It is a bit faster. I hope the manager reads the YELP reviews and tries to make changes to improve service. Most of your customers aren't hanging out for the free wifi, but even that customer wants their favorite beverage quickly and accurately. It is Starbucks. The staff is friendly and they don't seem to be short handed each time we've visited. Perhaps they need additional training and a sense of urgency?

I am really disappointed with Starbucks. For a while I hung out there and things were fine. Then they appeared to have a drastic staffing change and hired mostly teenaged children. While I am fully aware that many teenagers are capable of conducting themselves in an appropriate manner at WORK, these are not. I was in a position to see employees in uniform at Starbucks in Ruidoso drinking alcohol on the premises, driving through the parking lot blaring their bass around and around in circles, and wearing booty shorts so short their butt cheeks were showing. Now, all this might contribute to a jovial atmosphere if it didn't mean I can't get a freaking muffin and a soy chai without a 30 minute wait. Oh, and even then they are out of the muffins! Another review called the night crew "Super-friendly, fun." I myself I have never experienced friendly or fun from them. The staff (day, night, whatever) is rude, takes tips without even saying thank you or acknowledging them, and argue with each other in front of customers. This Starbucks needs to close and reopen under new management after hiring a whole new staff. FAIL.

As usual the coffee is very good, that's the reason for walking in the door. :) Here's the but, it is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been too. If there are four or five folks in line you can count on 30 minutes or so. One time I was there it seemed mopping the floor was more important then the line of people waiting. She went over it three times. Seems like that could wait until folks in line are served. One person line six people line they work at the same plodding pace. Laid back is cool but this store takes it an extreme.

Went in today hoping we would be noticed because we were only customer in the store. Despite 3 employees behind the counter they flat out ignored us and continued to talk to each other,,even as we walked out the door. This is the second time in a row that we've had very poor service so we won't be going back.

Normal Starbucks, however, when you close at 9 when you're suppose to be open til 10, that's an issue in a small town.
