Called Cattleman's Kountry Kitchen, this place has a mom & pop feel to it. I was driving thru from CA & looked up steak places on-line. Cattleman's Southwest steak & Seafood Restaurant kept coming up. So I went the address listed and pulled up to Cattleman's Kountry Kitchen. I had the Stampede sandwich w/shaved rib eye & mac and cheese. The food was delicious & the staff was prompt & polite. This was at 5:30 pm. Not sure what service is like later. When I visited a few weeks ago they didn't have wine available but said they were getting some in. Maybe they have some now.

I haven't visited here in a while but when I found out there was new owners I thought I'd give it a try! I'm so glad I did. The staff was friendly & courteous and the food was awesome. We had chicken fried steak & the grilled cod. We will definitely be back!!

Food was really good! I got the chicken fried steak and it was amazing! The rolls were really good to! Staff was super friendly and kept my fiance and I happy. Pricing was fair to for what you get.

I'm curious as to why my first review was taken down. I gave Cattleman's 5 stars as I really enjoyed my visit there. In fact, if I ever go back to the area, I will definately be sure to go there again to eat. I have not had as good a steak since.

The appetizers were delicious . We had the mozzarella wedges were very good and my husband loved the fried calamari.. Our steaks were not great .. If you have to use steak sauce to give your steAk flavor then pass ... They were cooked right just no flavor .. Maybe try burgers next time .. Food was slow to arrive but the staff was very nice and friendly .

What can you say about Roswell, NM. It is not a big place and when you are looking for a place to eat, the choices are not plentiful. With that being said, I would not discount this place either. The staff was friendly, the food was good and if I am in the area again, I will visit this place again. Our experience was not like, WOW THIS IS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN, but it was also not AHHHH!!! We will eat here again and hope our next experience was as good as the first.

They are THE best steakhouse in Roswell. Much better than Cattle Baron steakhouse here in town. The only issue was slow service we arrived at 6:30 and did not leave until after 9 o'clock for dinner. However, the server was very polite and professional and knew what he was talking about. The steaks were excellent and very authentic western US style.

The portion that I ordered turned out to be much smaller than I expected. When you spend 18$ for a piece of stake, you got a 7 oz one, that's sad. service was very slow, stake taste below average, and my credit card charge turned out to be one dollar more that I wrote down, this place not recommended.

Cattleman's Southwest Steak & Seafood has been closed. Recently opened under New Owner & Management-Cattleman's Kountry Kitchen The New Owner & Management have taken the restaurant back to the Original Cattleman's Steak House with the old recipes & country style home cooking! The name has been changed to Cattleman's Kountry Kitchen !

I ordered the 10oz ribeye, which came with vegetable of the day and choice of potato. For dessert, I had the recommended turtle cheesecake. The ribeye: The ribeye was ordered medium rare and it came medium pushing medium well. There were parts closer to what I ordered and others that were almost well done. The house pepper rub was almost non existent and the herb butter sauce was alright. 2/5 The potatoes: I got the steak fries which were enormous. They were very crisp on the outside but dry on the inside and almost completely unsalted/seasoned. The ranch I ordered to help them was fantastic, I'm all about good ranch. 2.5/5 The vegetables: they were squash and green peppers. I think they were just sautéed in a little oil that wasn't hot enough. They were oily, limp, and again unseasoned. As a result, I didn't really touch them. 1/5 The turtle cheesecake: Eh. It was ok but lacked that smoothness that really defines a cheesecake. I should've gone with the watermelon creamslush at sonic down the street. 2/5. The waitress: Contrasting to everything else, my waitress was fantastic and very quick. The owner greeted me on the way in and I was seated immediately. 5/5 Overall, if I end up coming back to Roswell, I will be going somewhere else. Not bad but not great either.

This is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at in the 5 years visiting Roswell. The ambiance was superb, wine selection was fantastic, and food was excellent!!! The service was amazing! I recommend this restaurant over any other steakhouse in town! Terrific!!

We came here this evening after a family funeral. There was a misunderstanding and we thought Cattle Baron's, which happened to be closer to our hotel, had room for us, but they had been on a wait for an hour. We called this restaurant from Cattle Baron's and asked if they had room for 14 for dinner at 7 PM on a Friday night. The lady that answered the phone did not hesitate, and said that they would open the back room to make room for us. We showed up about five minutes later and were seated by the owner, Andre. We told him that we appreciated them accomodating us because we had a long day at a family funeral. He asked us who passed, and we told him, and he happened to know our family member who passed, through a mutual friend. We were treated like family and after getting to know the owner, I imagine that he treats all guests that way. The food was delicious and we were very well cared for. The staff was so polite and on top of our every need. If I ever find myself in Roswell again, I will definitely come back here. Andre treated us like family, and we will always remember that.

Wait staff, this evening, was really great. Andre is always a joy to talk with. They've done more redecorating on the inside and he says they have plans for the outside as well. I had the smaller ribeye - almost melt in your mouth! Wife had the chicken - could not eat it all. Saw two friends there as well. Have never gone in without seeing someone I know.

Dinner was great! Really good service...REALLY good filet...and great wine! Would definitely recommend to a friend (and this is coming from someone with quality restaurant experiences from a big city). Try it out!

Cattleman's Steak House was nice break after being on the road all day. The salad bar was excellent and featured many goodies, Loved being able to slice my own cheese from the cheese blocks. My hubby and I enjoyed the prime rib with sweet potatoes. Iced tea was a little weak, but I am a bit of a tea snob from Texas.

the first time was great, went there a second time and quality dropped. gave them one last try and thats it! on my growing DNR (do not return) list for this town.
