First time eating here, wasn't sure what to expect. Service was great. Steaks were cooked to order and juicy. Sides were delicious and a good solid addition to the meal. The only negative, or thing I wish they would change is to pick up those darn peanut shells from the floor...almost slipped on one! While it's been many years since I've been to an Outback Steakhouse, I'm pretty sure this place blows away any of those entries.

Texas Roadhouse has the best sangria margaritas! We normally sit at the bar, to drink and eat. The bartenders have always been friendly and attentive. I am a creature of habit and always get the rib eye and have not been disappointed! There is always a lot of food, so the steak I don't eat is used on a sale the next day for lunch!

Awesome environment! Friendly staff. Ice cold beer. A whole bucket of peanuts and hot rolls with cinnamon butter. This is the first time I've been to a Texas Roadhouse and I was not disappointed. My steak was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the restrooms were a little under kept. And the onion appetizer was no blooming onion it was a little bland. The sweet tea on the other hand fantastic we even got a cup to go. And one of the buss boys here very efficient. He turned tables in about 2 min.

Pretty good 16 oz Ribeye. Good dinner with the exception we sat next to the loudest mouth woman who did nothing but complain just so she could get her and her date a free meal. Sometimes I feel sorry for anyone who owns a restaurant with people like her.

This was the third and final time eating here. Service was horrible the first time around. Second time around we waited for an hour to eat our food that came out cold. The third time (our last time) eating here (last night) to celebrate daughters 16 birthday was a joke. The waitress told us that they ran out of sirloin (this is a place that serves MEAT!!!! Needless to say we decided to go somewhere else then the manager came when he saw us leaving and said they would cut sirloin for us???? I thought they ran out??? Come to find out these lazy asses didn't want to cut the meat!!! They didn't even comp the appetizer (POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE) So we went to OUTBACK where service was fantastic, fast and the SIRLOIN was great!!

If you like your restaurant so loud than you cannot converse with your companions, this is the place for you. If you like country music played as loud as how we used to listen to Led Zeppelin, you will love this place. If you enjoy seeing the entire wait staff breaking into a line dance with the music EVEN LOUDER, this is the place for you! I have been 5 or 6 times, and every time there was a mistake with someone at my table's order. Last time (a week ago) my steak was both overcooked and stone cold. Wife's steak was at least warm on one end. The other was.... stone cold. So, way too noisy, mediocre food served cold. Don't go!

Whats going on here....I wanted to try their pulled pork sandwich but they don't have any cold slaw.....really....why?? So I order their Texas Cheese burger ...now I have ordered this burger many times this time the bun was so thick and crusty I could not taste the burger or the toppings....really bad....I shud have gone to Micky Dees....I like the atmosphere and the people have a lot of fun here but lets put more emphisis on the food please.... This place is as consistent as it gets! Everything is amazing. Myself, I love their grilled shrimp. The flavor is out of this world, and they taste super fresh. I also love their chicken fried steak and I have never had a steak that wasn't perfect. I grew up with a lot of home cooked steaks and BBQ and this place reminds me of home every time. I always have a manager come check in during the meal and they always make things right. I am a foodie and I like trying new hole-in-the-wall places, but when you just want something perfect and plenty of it, go to Texas Roadhouse!

The best customer service I've received at a restaurant in a long time. Attentive, informative, and courteous are three best characteristic to describe our server but as I listented around, I noticed the entire floor staff seemed very friendly. Delicious and warm butter rolls with cinnamon butter. As many as u can handle. Peanuts at the table waiting for you. Both complimentary. The waiters do a cute line dance. My meal was ok. Not bad but not amazing. I would definitely go back. You can also pick your steak for them to cook.

Excellent ribs, roasted half chicken, steak fries. Waitress & staff were awesome with our 2 year old daughter. Excellent service!

I so wish they would focus on service and not taking a break every 10 minutes to dance and stomp.

I've been to Texas Road House at least 25 or 30 times and I've always been more than happy with their service! Fun environment ,professional, good food and a good place to bring kids. But after my most recent visit here I have to say I was more than unimpressed! They were slam packed busy, we walked in and my 67 year old mother asked the hostess how long the wait would be while myself and my 3 year old son who was in my arms stood next to her. The hostess obviously heard us (we were standing right in front of her!) she completely looked past and ignored us to help a loud woman with a birthday cake and a party of 20. I couldn't believe it! The manager I think (a tall white man in a different colored shirt) stood right next to her with a blank look on his face and didn't help us either!! After standing there baffled for a good minute with no one helping us you could guess what we did next... Turned around and walked right out! I've never been treated so horribly! Good luck getting us to go back! Get your sh*t together Texas Road House!! My advice don't even bother going in if they look busy! Clearly they can't handle it!

I love going here it's amazing good service and good food. The food comes out really fast. I went with my family a couple days ago and they were really nice. But the price is a little too much but at least there a free peanuts! I love the location you could do a little shopping while you wait to get a table too!

Visiting my son from California. We decided on dinner here and I was blown away by the service! Claudia at the bar was Amazing from the second we sat down and Mia our server once we were sat, was awesome! Wish there was one in Cali.

Chicken Critter salad was simply lousy. Tasted less appetizing than cafeteria food. Had to convince manager to take it off the bill. We will NOT be dining at this chain again.

I spend half of my week in Deming NM, but live in Tucson. I never feel at home in Deming, but thought I would busy some extra time at the mall in Las Cruces. After shopping I headed over to TRH and sat at the bar. Kat and Tina were amazing. Lance was the manager on duty and moved around greeting all the diners. They all knew most of their customers, but it was my first time. They have a little method of remembering your name. Once I introduced myself, it was on a first name basis from then forward. Great food but awesome crew.

Our first experience at this Texas Roadhouse. We have been to others in AZ and MD. Our group of five all had steaks and their were no complaints about the quality of the steaks. Two of us had the side of a sweet potato, which was cooked properly and tasted great. I had a baked potato with butter and sour cream, which was delicious. The salt flakes on the potato skin made the entire potato tastier. I even brought my leftover potato home. The yeast rolls with cinnamon butter were very good. My only complaint about my dining experience was that the restaurant atmosphere was too loud.

This was our first obsession when moving to New Mexico because it was kind of all we knew. Dinner time is usually the longest wait, Lunch usually has no wait at all, lots of parking and right near the mall. The food is good. I've had the Brisket Sandwich, Country Fried Sirloin & always always get the Fried Pickles. Honestly I'm not a pickle fan but these are freaking awesome. The best part though, is the free part.. the nuts you can open up and toss on the floor & the bread rolls with cinnamon butter (nom) The service is usually spot on, not too pushy and not too absent either. However I do remember one guy who literally squatted down to talk to me, like I was that short or something.. Altogether 4 stars, and I sure will be going back if only just for the bread :)

About what you'd expect from this chain. Although I have had to send steaks back for not being rare enough. No big deal though.

i think that the awesome part is the bucket of peanuts they give you, and yes, I ate them all! Me being such a carnivore, ordered the 20oz rib eye well done. I was already full from eating bread and nuts. I did manage to eat the steak with a1 sauce. It's a good atmosphere, quite loud and good service. It's by NMSU, so it get pretty busy there with college folks.

I really didn't know what to expect the first time my husband and I went to Texas Roadhouse, as we're originally not from this area. I was concerned it was going to be just another franchise gone wrong where quantity was more important than quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Both my husband and I ordered steaks, which were done exactly as we had asked. They were super moist and the sides were very good as well. I also ordered a strawberry margarita, which was gigantic and delicious. The only downside is how stinkin' loud the music is in the restaurant. While I'm all for the country ambiance and fine with the peanut shells all over the floor, at least they can do is turn down the music enough to hear the person talking next to you. Other than that, I'll remember them when I'm craving another steak.

The host seated us in a section crammed with people, though most of the place was empty. After he begrudgingly let us move he brought us rolls that seemed to be left over from lunch. They were hard and cold. I asked for a vinegrette dressing and was given bottles of oil and vinegar for me to figure out. I requested a to go soda and the waitress provided a tiny coffee cup with a half inch of soda on the lid. Bad, bad, bad.

fun atmosphere, and literally fall-off-the-bone ribs. steak was also good, as were most of the sides. don't bother trying to go healthy, it won't work; just sit back and enjoy a margarita and staff's line dancing!

For some reason this place never impresses me and I have eaten here numerous times. The food is ok but not great and it is always very loud. Tends to be a bit pricey for average food. Very best thing is the bread which is fantastic. I think I would like to go there just for that.

Went there twice last month on a business trip. The two prime rib steaks were very good, cooked just right, juicy and tender. I also tried the "fall off the bone ribs", and it was okay (Frankly, ribs was never my favorite anyways, boiling weakened the favor in the meat, which is then overwhelmed by the BBQ sauce, but this is what ribs is, not Texas Roadhouse's fault). One disappointment was they didn't have soup on their menu. They have numerous TVs tuned to different sports channels all over the restruant. That might not pleases everyone but I think it makes the place more lively, remember that this place has a Roadhouse in its name.

This was my third visit over the last few years and each visit has been consistent. One... this place is always packed. This is definitely one of the more popular Las Cruces eateries although I don't quite understand why. Two... there is always ample staff and they are extremely friendly, however the service has never been quick. Third... The food is always extremely salty and therefore not good. Today I tried the bacon cheeseburger. It was average. The meat was cooked as ordered but to small for the bun. The cheese was good. The lettuce, tomato, and bacon all kept falling out of the over-sized, but tasty, bun. The french fries were over salted and not very edible. The free fresh baked appetizer bread with the apple butter was probably the highlight of the meal. Prices are at least reasonable, although you can argue that you get what you pay for. Just another note. This place is known for the ribs and steaks. I've had both here before and again the liberal use of salt ruined it for me. If they just dialed it back on the salt the food might be decent.

I've eaten at Texas Roadhouse several times. It's a local eatery popular for it's gimmicky Texas "flavored" family atmosphere. The place gets extremely loud with rowdy renditions of "Happy Birthday" constantly being sang, and the occasional impromptu line dance. A very popular aspect of Texas Roadhouse are the barrels full of peanuts near the front door and the small buckets. I always get a bucket and fill it with peanuts before heading to the table...shelling the peanuts has a cathartic quality, and peanuts make a great appetizer! The food runs the gambit from poor to good. Their chickenfried steak is best eaten on a dare. The portion looks huge until you cut into the overly fried mess to find that the meat has been pounded far too thin (less than 1/4 "). The breading is actually CRUNCHY, which is a huge no-no for chickenfried steak. The potatoes and gravy are excellent however. The tea is good if you can get them to bring you the unflavored variety. Avoid the chickenfried steak if you know what a CFS is supposed to taste like! The "real" steaks at Texas Roadhouse, however, are quite good. I've enjoyed their sirloins and ribeyes on multiple occasions. Overall the food quality is decent. The service is excellent, and it's service with a smile by an attractive staff. I've had the pleasure of being waited on by quite lovely girls on a couple occasions. The wait staff is attentive, which is very nice in a town as filled with bad service as Las Cruces. I'm kinda leaning towards giving Texas Roadhouse 4 stars, but the poor chickenfried steak at a "Texas" place is simply unforgivable. I'm afraid I have to dock them a star for that outrage (after all, Texas is famous for it's chickenfried steaks). Also, the atmosphere is not something everyone will enjoy. The place is simply loud as hell. I'm not fond of loud crowds and the din of the place is almost unbearable most of the time. People used to loud racket all the time (families!) will probably love Texas Roadhouse. People who prefer quieter dining would probably be better served going elsewhere.

Not bad for a franchise, but it's not the best steak in town.

I used to LOVE this place. After my last visit...I can't say anything good about it. First off our waitress was not personable and seemed put out by helping us. I asked for a glass of wine and it looked like it had dust in it...Then they bring my steak and ribs and there is a huge hair on it. I asked that they take it back and bring me a steak to go. I don't expect anything for free, but they couldn't even do anything like offer a free soda or something for the disgusting inconvenience? I mean a $2 soda isn't too much to ask for...considering that my steak had hair on it? The appetizer which was the fries, was over salted and the mashed potatos were not cooked all the way...I won't ever return to Texas Roadhouse here again. I might just continue to go to the one in Amarillo where I have had better luck!

The steaks were cooked very well. MY mom always always orders hers well and I admit I was worried because sometimes they get out tough as leather. But not here. According to our server, Zach, the Texas Roadhouse is known for its "fall-off-the-bone" ribs, "hand-cut daily" steaks, and "famous margaritas." I love when they think their marketing language is my everyday language. But overall the service was friendly and prompt but a bit heavy on the up-sell, trying to get us to purchase gift cards that come with a $5 voucher for appetizers. After a while the manager came over and made small talk with us, seeing it was our first time and all. The food.... The ribs did indeed fall off the bone, and the sauce was not super salty, spicy or sugary. "Just right," to appeal to the generic American palate, I guess. The steaks were good, I just wonder how local they were. There was a honey/cinnamon butter served with the dinner rolls, which according to manager woman, come out of the oven every 4 minutes. Wow, that's a lot of baking. Hope it's not a lot of waste. Beer... typical selection - Bud/Bud Light, Coors/Coors Light, Miller, Shiner Bock, Amber Bock. 10 oz. or 22 oz. are kind of weird sizes, right? Whoever was playing music did a sucky job... cutting to new songs halfway through, loud for 2 minutes then barely audible for 2 minutes, and a playlist that didn't really flow. I believe this is a chain restaurant, and I also believe there are better more local steaks to be had in Las Cruces. But we wanted something fast, casual, fun, without a reservation, and non-snooty. It's near the shopping, near home, and parking wasn't a hassle. It worked. We got outta there with three dinners, four beers and an appetizer for about $85 not including tip. And we got hella leftovers.

We met some friends there a couple of months ago. I like the vibe there, it was loud, busy, yet comfortable; seems like a popular place to go on the weekend. The food was alright...I ordered catfish, it was okay, not memorable; maybe I should have ordered steak or ribs instead. Also had a margarita, that was enjoyable...they didn't hold back on the tequila, nice. The waitress was very friendly but also very busy, took a little while to get some service. Cool place to meet friends and have drinks, but not sure if I would eat there again.

Nice, if somewhat loud, environment with a fun staff and great steaks. If you have been to one, you have been to them all, Texas Roadhouse is a lively, fun, and delicious place to eat. The biggest praise I have for them is that they know how to cook steak correctly. My orders for both rare and medium rare steaks have always come back correctly prepared. They have also been friggin delicious. My wife and I have tried other menu items outside of steaks and have always been satisfied.

Our server was fantastic....especially for a night where there were a handful of soccer teams celebrating the great work they had done this weekend. The place was insanely packed...and loud...which was to be expected for such an exciting weekend. Cynthia did a great job at timely service for our party of 8 and a baby. Texas Roadhouse is lucky to have her! The food is what you would expect of a chain restaurant...it was okay. They have the same appetizers that you could get at any of their competitors....we got the sampler, buffalo wings, and the battered onion. It satisfied our hunger but like I said...it was just okay. The drinks were all right too. A bit pricy for their mediocre taste. we may have been better off going to a higher end bar or lounge and paying the same price. Overall, we had fun and we couldn't have had a better server.

great steaks for a reasonable price-would be 4 stars but they use too much salt on everything??friendly servers, very noisy because they are busy! corporate sets the menu-could use soups and more healthy options like more salad??
