Oh. My. God. Driving across the U.S. I've been to many local joints... This was amazing. Tried their signature Lota burger with onion rings.... The hot dog... And the fish n chips. No I wasn't alone. Seemed a little shady, but definitely full of locals and prices were very reasonable and pretty clean for a hole in the wall. Awesome.

This restaurant's like a throwback to hamburger stands of the 60s and 70s-- but I mean that in a GOOD way. Unlike the retro themed restaurants today sporting the idealized look of Hollywood movie sets, Lotaburger is the genuine issue. Drive up and walk inside the simple building. The staff is friendly. The food's kind of bland but the portion sizes are great for the price. Grab a seat at one of the few tables inside, or go outside and sit beneath the vintage sign by the old Route 66. This is one of the few businesses in town that you could almost imagine is still in its heyday along the legendary route west. Just try to ignore the boarded up gas stations and condemned motor court motels across the street.

Very good burger and fries; the onion rings were tasty, but they were a little greasy. I would not recommend the grilled chicken sandwich; it was bland. The hotdog tasted great; the chili was plentiful - a little spicy, but had a good flavor. The prices were very reasonable.

No question this is the place to stop for a fast meal, served up with friendly efficiency when driving from Albuquerque to the Grand Canyon. Clean bathrooms are a bonus. Tried a burger with cheese and the seasoned fries. Big meal! Iced tea was nice. Kids liked their corned dogs and apple slices. My dad and daughter liked their chocolate shakes, too. Definitely the place to stop in this run-down town.

Super clean. Friendly service. Good fast food in a town on its very last leg. Thankfully I found this place on my phone just as we were about to eat Subway. Thank you yelp!
