Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Try the beef tacos. They are amazing. The free salsa has the perfect kick to it. Friendly service and great prices.

Food was surprisingly good ...right off hwy . Cleanliness could be better but it is a restaurant off route 66 so adds character I guess

Looking for a simple, quick, good meal considering it was late and I was tired. Thought I would give this place a try and it seemed to fit my needs. The waitress was less than happy and enthusiastic to be there, but then again I didn't feel like talking to anyone either. I had the special ... 6 oz steak (thin, a little dry), enchilada (was there a tortilla in there?), green chile (delicious!), sopapilla, rice & beans (rice was quite dry). The salad was alright but real wet - a lot of water left over at the bottom. A lot of food, relatively cheap, and not too bad.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way back to CA from Colorado. We ordered 3 beef taco plates and a burrito. I have to admit that when the food arrived, they look slightly different than what I am used to in LA but IT WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD! Staff is the the best. After our meal, I was distracted and left me cell phone with my ATM card and my DL on the table. By the time I realized that I left it at the restaurant, we were deep in Arizona. When I called the restaurant, they informed me that they found my business card inside my cell phone wallet, called my office and already spoke to my boss and made arrangements to have it shipped back to me on our office FEDEX account. I got my phone back and noticed that they didn't use our Fedex account number but had spent money out of their own pocket and shipped it back to be via priority mail. They went beyond their duty to assure that my phone found its way back to me. I now have a favorite restaurant next time I drive through Gallup, NM.

The hard chicken taco plate we shared was good. The chicken was ground and very tasty. The beans were pretty good also. Nothing to rave about, though. Just A-OK.

I love this place. Everytime I visit Gallup, I have to stop here for chorizo & eggs. Everyone is friendly, the food is solid, and they have my favorite kind of booths. What more do you need?

Restaurant was packed when we arrived, so naturally I assumed that the food would be good. I ordered 3 soft beef tacos. When it arrived, I saw that it was ground beef. Unfortunately, it didn't taste very good. As I ate it, it reminded me of the processed beef at some popular fast food restaurants that serve "mexican" food. The refried beans had no flavor. The only thing I liked was the sopapilla. That was very good. I also liked the ambiance. It reminded me of the old Love's Barbecue Restaurant.

Worse Mexican food in the South West. Sick for 2 days. Don't eat the beans. Matter of fact, don't eat any of it. Atmosphere bad. Little kids selling jewelry come to your table every 2 minutes.

This place provided outstanding service and the food was super. The place was slammed during lunch with the intertribal pow wow going on in town but still the service outshone others.
