Really good but kinda slow but also very nice staff and the food is worth the wait so i totally recommend it

Loud, a bit pricey, and cliche... Texas Roadhouse is both exactly what you expect and a little less than what you signed on for. With delicious (and highly caloric) hot bread and cinnamon butter compliments of the house, TR hooks you right in. There's plenty of beer and mixed drinks to order, a bucket a peanuts at every table, and a menu full of protein and starch. All of that is great, but the aesthetics take some getting used to. For one thing, the music is loud and the rumble of the crowd (trying to talk to their party OVER the music) makes the place run at a heavy decibel level. Like, stadium loud, sometimes. For some folks, that's part of the appeal. For me, well I like not to have to shout at the person I'm sitting next to unless it's a special occasion like a concert. Secondly, the waitstaff stopped doing line dancing! If we're going to have to deal with pop and classic country crooners, the least the staff could do is stomp around once an hour~ I missed that this last time I went. Now we get all the noise but none of the benefits! Foodwise, the entrees are pretty basic steakhouse. Lots of protein and fats with country staples on the side. They display their meats right when you come in the door, so there's no missing the marbeling of the cuts... and when you ask for rare, YOU GET RARE (blessedly)... so many franchise steakeries say they're giving you rare but over cook to medium just in case. I find that annoying. TR does it right... TO ORDER. Kudos there. Sides are the main weakness to the food, I think. Plenty of variety, but not a lot of pizzazz. Baked potatoes (sweet or Idaho) are the best on the menu. Everything else feels like it straight out of a can or plastic bag in the freezer. When the bill came due, I'm always a little disappointed that the price point is higher than I expect, but you're mostly paying for meat and aesthetics. Make of that what you will. Will I come back? Sure, with friends... but only every couple of months or so. My arteries, eardrums, and wallet can't take much more than that.

Arrived late on business. Desperate to find a local restaurant and not desiring Village Inn or Denny's I drove on Main St praying for some place to be open past 9pm. So, only due to hunger did I stop here to eat. I dislike these big themed chain restaurants. Eating healthy is a MUST so I carefully ordered the side salad with no croutons and an oil based dressing.........not bad. Salmon in a chain steak place?? I gave it a chance and it was overspiced and served in a small pool of greasy something. UGH! Too loud and the waitresses are just hanging out talking to their friends. This may be high society for some but NOT for me. I endured the salmon and a side of veggies, hunted down my waitress to pay, and looked longingly at Dennys and Village Inn as I drove back to my hotel. Thank god the next evening included the FABULOUS St. Clair Winery Bistro.

I don't usually write reviews on huge chain restaurants, but I had such a great experience at Texas Roadhouse in Farmington that I could not resist. My co-workers and I went to Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch around 3pm on a Saturday. We were surprised to see how busy the place was! We were seated right away despite the crowd. On the way to our table, the hostess inquired about our last experience to Texas Roadhouse which I thought was different, but good. We all ordered iced tea which was brought promptly and always refilled. Two of us ordered the steak and shrimp combo and one of us ordered a steak with a loaded baked potato. My medium steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were AMAZING. The shrimp seasoning was delicious and the shrimp were cooked just right. My steak was delicious. I also ordered a salad and sweet potato as my side. My sweet potato was ordered plain with some butter on the side and it was great. I also requested a side of green chile for my steak and it had a kick to it- very impressed. My co-worker who also ordered the steak and shrimp combo raved about the shrimp (and she's from the southeast so she knows good shrimp). Unfortunately, her steak was cooked a little too well done after she requested it be cooked medium well. When served steak at Texas Roadhouse, the waiters request that you cut into your steak upon receipt to confirm it is cooked to your liking. Because we were short on time, my co-worker mentioned that the steak was overcooked, but said she would still eat it and for them to not provide a new plate. About five minutes later, the manager came over and apologized for the incident. We were very impressed he came and personally apologized since we did not request to speak with him. He even discounted our bill. Service was excellent, food was excellent. If I am in Farmington for lunch or dinner again, I will definitely come back!

The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The food is consistent and I have never left hungry. I recommend highly. For those with issues, look at what else is available in Farmington.

Been to several Texas Roadhouse restaurants from Glendale, AZ to Billings, MT, so I know what to expect. However, this particular location on two separate occasions have not met the TRH expectations from other restaurants. From overcooked meat to being served the wrong cut of steak, I really have to question staff's knowledge of what it takes to identify and cook a steak. Wait staff is pleasant and helpful to resolve issues. From an operations perspective, too many mistakes costs money.

Upon arrival no persons were attending the hostess check in booth, one hostess finally arrived with a broom in hand?!? Not something you want to see, oh well. We order our meals and out comes the salads and before I get a chance to inform our waiter, he briskly trots away. So we sit with our salads in front of us with no silverware. We did not see our waiter until our entrees arrive and he asks us if we did not like the salads... I politely inform him we have no silverware. Off to a not so great dinner experience, maybe our entrees will make up for the road bumps. As my wife is eating her apple sauce, she notices a solid foreign piece of material in the apple sauce which makes her nauseated. So I ask for a manager to inform him of all the unfavorable events that happened to my wife and I. Manager "Tino Lee" does not offer an apology and his excuse is, "well it is a busy night tonight and I'm sure your waiter did not mean to hand you a salad with no silverware, this is cheese that fell into the apple sauce see here is some more, it does happen sometimes and it won't hurt your wife it's only cheese." What type of response is that for a person of management power? My PREGNANT wife just about threw up when she noticed something other than apple sauce while eating, and she won't get hurt, she may have been lactose intolerant. It's pointless continuing this dispute with an inexperienced, unintelligent person, so I tell him our meals is done and ask for the ticket. He says he will get our waiter and tells us a discount for our meal will be offered. I don't want a discount, most of the food we ordered is still on the table, uneaten. The waiter does apologize for what has happened. Well, back to applebees and their thinly sliced steaks with descent customer serive it is. Oh yeah by the way, it was just my wife and I, so you know a lovely dinner, wrong! They seat us in the ONLY section that is crowded with screaming kids

Wow, completely awesome experience here. I've visited the Albuquerque location and have had less than stellar experience there. This place has the best service, food, atmosphere, and it's just better! I'd come back here anytime! The wait wasn't too bad, called head works great, only waited like 5 mins. Ask for Bill, excellent service and he well worth it. He was always attentive and spot on! As for the restaurant itself, it's your typical Texas Roadhouse with all the shenanigans that goes on. The line dancing is a cool experience. This is my new steak house...oh by the way, I had the baby back ribs and it was great! Much better than Albuquerque's location. Take my word, it's pretty darn good!

I had the steak & shrimp. Everything was done to perfection. Lots of good mushrooms on the steak, and cooked as requested. My gal had the beef tips, and she said they were terrific. Our service was great, and we loved the fact everyone seemed to be having a good time. We had huge portions, so to go boxes were required. The only negative was my gal went in first while I parked the car, and was told they couldn't take her name down until I showed up. No big deal

Two stars because the service was good. Oh, and because of the 2 drink maximum. Wanted to watch game and was informed after dinner that there was a 2 drink maximum. The ribs were over cooked and burnt. Not typical of other Texas Roadhouse.

Wasn't wholly impressed by their ribs but I've heard good things about their steaks. I'm a little peeved that if you want to load up your baked potato, sweet potato, or mashed potatoes, it's an extra 99 cents, and that the mushrooms and onions with your steak are an extra $1.99 but they present the option to you as if it came with your meal. I get that this is the norm with most steakhouses these days, but what really bugged me was their service. We called in for a reservation at a big table (there were 8 of us) and we ended up being squeezed at a table that could comfortably sit 6-7. First of all, this is not what I expect when I call in a reservation. That, and having to wait 30 minutes past my reservation to be seated. Our server also seemed completely overwhelmed by the fact that there were 8 of us at the table. 1. We were short a salad. 2. We were short on silverware and took us saying it twice before we got an extra set. 3. One of our steaks was missing mushrooms and onions. We only realized this after we were three quarters of our way through our meal. When we brought this up to the waiter, instead of apologizing, he immediately retaliated with "I wish you had told me earlier". Maybe he felt that he could have rectified the mistake, but it sounded a little like he was upset with us. I don't put all of the blame on the waiter (he seemed a little new), but on what seems like poor communication between the waiting staff and the kitchen. I get that this is rush hour, but still, I expected better. All in all, not bad, but I'd avoid the crowd.

We had a table of four and two of us sent the country fried sirloin with cream gravy back for it was to greasy tasting, and to me your could just taste the bacon grease. They offered to remake it or give us something else to which the other person did a six-ounce sirloin that she liked. When the manager came over to ask what was wrong I told him to taste the gravy himself, as to which he answered that corporate give them strict recipe and their cook made it that way and he had no control on the taste. He just threw out $ 20 dollars of food and it seems to me someone else would complain and how much is too much in the trash to get it fixed? The service was not the problem but the manager and the cooking staff.

Been here a couple times and decent as far as Texas Roadhouses go. Always crowded as it is the "new" restaurant in town so I do recommend their call ahead seating option. Service has been good both times and all of the dishes have been good. No issues whatsoever. Decent option for Farmington.

One of the most ridiculous policy --they will not seat you unless the entire party is present. Granted that this policy should be enforce, let's say, during high traffic hours. It was 4:10 pm and the entire restaurant was empty. Okay, exaggerating a bit, but there had to be at least 20+ tables open. Honestly, I've never encountered this policy --ever. Considering I've ate at all types of establishments from the east to west coast. Also, you're a greeter, at least be a little friendly, and know how to be professional when dealing with situations in this manner. I've been going to the Albuquerque establishment for many years --never once has this happen. Oh yeah, the funniest part is they handed us a pager while we are the only ones sitting in the waiting area in front of them! How much more ridiculous can one be? Needless to say, Farmington establishment lost our business. I'm a great tipper too! Just ask the kid we left $30 on our last visit. Disappointment!
