I tried...three times. Today was the last straw. Where else would you go to celebrate St Patricks Day in Farmington but the only Irish-ish place? Slow service, awful food, and crappy parking. They had bagpipers that played the same song at least 10 times, but it may have been more. The moment that topped it all: the waiter taking the fries from all three of our plates, putting them on one plate, and telling us he would go cook them some more and bring them back. Someone in the kitchen had the sense to serve us each a small plate of now cooked French fries....we will never know if they were the same ones or different. There may not be many choices here, but cross that god-awful Irish Cantina off your list of possibilities.

Well we came here this last weekend, first off lets just say this place so needs an "upgrade" the seating in here is HORRIBLE!!!!! Seriously who wants to sit right next to other people you don't even no ??! Well not me I was pretty disappointed and uncomfortable. Second the service here was beyond crappy!!!!! I don't no if the server was new or what but is he kept touching her hair like pulling it back and what not, it was very disgusting.i didn't eat because of that reason anything with hair and food just disturbs me. Our server came to our table literally 3 times, And the third time we just wanted to pay and get out of there so we asked some guy I believe he was the manager or owner. He was pretty rude and unprofessional he just said "ok" and walked away, he should of been more concerned like asking if everything's ok. Because really who has to ask for there server. So I walk to the car as my husband pays cuz at this point I was just so irritated, the jack-ass server charges us twice on our card, they credit it back to our account , it was just a horrible experience we paid over $50 we won't be back.

Just WOW! I LOVE Clancy's!!! The food, INCLUDING SUSHI(!!!), the service, the Patio is really nice, love watching the live entertainment out there. The first time I went, I had a BLAST!! Of COURSE I HAD to try the SUSHI, and it was AMAZING! Took selfie with Dave Mensch, he's an AWESOME entertainer! The locals were nice too Just a great place for locals, and tourists a-like. It's our "GO-TO" spot! So, if you're just passing through, or just haven't taken the time to stop in, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CLANCY's.

It's an Irish Pub, no...wait! It's a Mexican Cantina, No...wait! It's a Sushi Bar, No...wait! Whatever it is, it need to be worked on. You enter the strange world that mixes Ireland with Mexican influences with a touch of Japan. From its aged wooden floors to the stucco walls and the sushi bar in the corner, this place really needs to finds its identity and stick to it. We came here during lunch hour and it was surprising how quiet it was, the staff was friendly and but they neglected us. Ice tea ran dry and it just wasn't us, I looked around and seen several empty drinks. Food was mediocre, ordered the Clancy club, fries are less to be desired. There is a full bar against the wall, but it didn't interest me at all. It's dark through the entrance, reminded me of an entrance to a dark alley bar where the bouncer is wearing a sleeveless shirt with tribal tattoos all over. This place has potential, but it needs to find its identity and stop being a jack of all trades, master of none.

Slow kitchen. Slow service. Need to get this staff motivated! Use to be a happening establishment. Maybe a change of management?

The only reason I'll give this place two stars is because our waiter was great. He was pretty patient, very attentive, and very kind. The food, however, was a totally different story. The folks I dined with ordered standard pub fare, but it was cold and soggy--the restaurant wasn't even busy! I ordered a beer on tap, and it was flat. I sent it back and got another, which was fine, but I can't say that I've ever had that happen before. I first ordered the marinated squash roll, but was later informed that they were out of ingredients, so I chose the avocado roll instead. It's pretty hard to f*** up vegetarian sushi, which is great, because I imagine that if they could, they would've. I'd give this place 1 star if it weren't for the lovely waiter. He was the only saving grace in my Clancy's experience.

Pros: Local Favorite, Non-Chain, Great Food, Service, Prices, Atmosphere, Sushi, Outdoor Seating, Bar Cons: Service, Sushi I'm a native Farmingtonian and Clancy's has always been around as long as I remember and people have always went to grab a bit of food or a drink and hang out. This place isn't anything fancy, isn't common, isn't plain, this place is just Clancy's, something different. I've been here multiple times. Located in the heart of Farmington, the place is in plain sight of everyone, almost a welcome to passer-byers. The outside suggests a touch of Southwest, but has it's own mix inside and on the menu, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere and decor is fairly light. The outside suggests southwest, but the inside suggests a pub and welcoming place. It's decorated with a little bit of southwest decor with a touch of touristy and tasteful items with a pub feel. The food is simple. There's a mix on the menu and as you walk in, you will notice the newly installed sushi bar (I will get to this). The menu contains a wide range of appetizers, entrees, Mexican food, burgers, and daily specials. The back of the menu contains the newly (a few years old) established sushi menu. This sounds like a horrible idea for a New Mexico restaurant due to the lack of oceans surrounding the state, however, Clancy's is able to pull it off nicely. You have to hold your expectations a little lower than the standard East or West coast sushi places as it's not going to be FRESH but most people don't realize that even west or east coast places are not fresh either and get their fish frozen just like a lot of other places. As for the other items, burgers, Mexican, fish and chips are all standard pub items and Clancy's does them like most pubs. I wouldn't say Clancy's exceeds at their food but it's something locals have come to love and come back for again and agian. Service has been spotty when we go. The servers have always been polite and friendly, but you may wait an extra minute or two on a refill or check. Most times we have a great experience and thank our server for the great service. Prices are average. I think for the quality they can be priced a little over at time, but considering places like Chili's, Applebee's, Outback..etc, Clancy's is worth the price and tastes that much better. Overall, I think this place is a great place. This is likely a local favorite for most and probably not a place for outsiders who won't appreciate it for what it is. I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to taste a bit of Farmington and not a chain restaurant. Those who know this place know what makes it great and probably doesn't mind if someone who isn't local doesn't know how good it truly is. Support local, not chains.

There should be a sign outside Farmington stating: "Abandon All Hope". Seriously, there were nine murders during the week that I was there. Not cool. Anyone forced to stop in this city--hopefully not for long--should hit up Clancy's. Read the reviews. The place has many downsides. The upsides, however, include sushi and sake. You read that right... sushi and sake in the middle of the New Mexican desert. It's really good fish and wine as well. The decor is pub-style, true the the Irish theme. Where the sushi and sake comes from who knows, but they're affordable and tasty as all hell. Stray from these options and risk harm and endangerment.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
