Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This review is for their take-out only. In a nutshell I'll say that China Chef's food is delish. Their prices, however, are quite high compared to other Chinese food I've ever eaten. The portion sizes also leave some to be desired. We ordered shrimp & veggies and it was really good, but whereas most Chinese places you can share an entrée (with rice), this one was a little too small. The lady behind the counter was friendly and the interior seemed clean and pleasant. Really, if they would either enlarge the portions or lower their prices then they would be a 4 star joint if not even potentially a 5 star one.

Let me first say that my husband is an East Coast food snob. He compares everything to what he could get in "the city" (aka NYC). We lived in Albuquerque before moving to The East Mountains and never quite found a Chinese place that we were happy to frequent. Imagine our surprise when we find this place out in Edgewood NM! It is fresh and more tasty and authentic than anything we found in "the city" (Abq). Some of our favorites: roasted pork egg fu young (super yummy), veg lo mein, chicken with broccoli in white sauce, fried rice. We only get take out and have never dined in, so can't comment on that. 5 stars for being the best in the area including all of Albuquerque. Probably 4 stars compared to the best places out east (because they have even more selection and are crazy amazing.) Super happy to have this place in our new hood, especially since we don't have to drive into "the city" to get this great take-out. :)

My husband and I love their food. I am very picky with Chinese places and this one is on top of my list. Actually, this is the only family owned that I eat at. The servers are nice too. We tried the Mongolian been - a little spicy but I like that.

Driving cross the country on a move, we found ourselves hungry. We got gas and took a chance on Chinese food in a small town that had only a handful of restaurants. I was a bit skeptical but we went for it. Oh man it was just what we needed! The food is good, simple Chinese food. The menu was very large for this place! It was mostly variations of the same dish but we still had options. We had a fabulous egg drop wonton soup that was perfect suited to our appetites. We also ordered general tso's chicken and sweet and sour chicken (yup classic general american chinese food!) which were nice and hot. The generals tso's needed more veggies but whatever. There was also plenty for a midnight snack and breakfast! If you find yourself hungry in a teensy town, go for it!

The Chinese food at this restaurant is really good, and I highly recommend eating here. I usually get the food to go, because the service is typical of a Chinese restaurant, slow and not super awesome.
