Want spicy?!?! If so, eat here. Gave a 4 due to the fact it's not the pretty place in the world. Very good food, price is on the higher of the expected, not terrible though. Give it a try!

I rated this place a 4 because of the atmosphere. It's not the prettiest place to eat but the food is very delicious. The soups are amazing! I had the House Special soup with spice on the side. I would mostly likely get my order to go next time, but my husband is a regular Bc it's very close to the base. The Thai tea was also very good!

I really wish I knew that pork was the meat of choice for the house noodle soup special. I've always had beef and beef meatball as protein of choice from other restaurants. AND at Saeng's for the last 3 years, up until the other day. Grant it, the last time I had been here up until yesterday, was in November of 2011. Good broth, that's why I come back. And for those saying it's dirty, poor decor, etc... Clovis is on the East of NM, 10 minutes from the Texas border, and a very small town. Why change what still sells? Obviously repeat customers come for taste. And in regards to spice, I say no spice on the order and request for spices on the side. It's just safer that way.

This place is dirty! Ok, now that the obvious has been stated...it's about the only place to eat close to the base. They're overpriced and their food is SALTY. They really do TRY, and Seang herself seems very nice, but I've given this place a few chances and tried a few dishes and nothing was very good. Out of all the Thai places in town, Thai city and Golden Thai are the best ones.

This is one restaurant you cannot judge by its cover... or lack thereof. The building is located off Hwy 60/84 in pretty much the middle of nowhere. Unless you've read previous reviews or been tipped, you probably would not want to stop. But don't let the dismal exterior deter you. The Thai food is the best that you will find around. In fact, it's not just good per Clovis standards, but the food could compete with some Thai joints that I've been to in Seattle. Keep in mind, however, that mild isn't in Saeng's vocabulary. If you order hot, your mouth better be prepared for fire. If you order mild, fire is still coming your way. The service was decent. It took us a while for our food to come out and we were the only ones in the place, but I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind. I would only recommend picking somewhere else if you are on a strict time schedule (but who really is out here in Clovis?)

The most spicy place in the world, place not well decorated, but good food. Price is on the high side compare other Thai food in town or any other town. I ordered non-spicy Green Curry, yet still too spicy to eat. Taste was great, but just way too spicy. Water is filtered water with ice cube, very tasty unlike tab water from other restaurant , On my third try, I ordered Pad Thai, not only it's too salty, but not taste as good as it should. They have We'd lunch buffet and I think I will try that next time.

The food is really good but really really spicy. I had the curry and thought it was good but way too hot. The wontons are delicious and you get a fair amount of food.

SAENG brings the HEAT! I love this place. One of the few restaurants I can rely on to not make my so requested dish "candy ass" hot. SAENG is growing her own ghost peppers! That should be a sign that this place is not to be trifled with if you do not enjoy spicy food on some level. The place itself looks it would blend in flawlessly with a trailer park in West Virginia.. however do not let this camouflage fool you. Inside this gruff exterior resides the perfect alchemical blend of Thai flavor and fire that awaits your stupid mouth. At the extra hot level I must pause halfway through the dish to recover before fiercely shoveling the rest of the masterpiece in my face. I dig that when you walk in, you can look right into Saeng's ghetto kitchen and witness her magicking up the next dish. I also dig that when I request something special she gets mad and grumpily yells at the cashier... this amuses me greatly. As for recommendations, my list would include: jalapeno lumpio, pad Thai, panang curry, ginger curry, and the green curry are my favorites. I have tried many dishes and have not been led to the arena of disappointment. If you dig the heat, go here and bring your game face.

Decor wasn't much. Wasn't even sure if it was structurally sound. But the food is incredibly tasty. Had the Thai Basil stir fry, and I was torn between hot and extra hot. But heeding the words of warriors past who have braved the heat, I chose just the hot. My friends ordered Pat Thai and another noodle dish "mild," but to them, it was still fairly spicy. Service was okay. From the very first bite, I was sweating. By the time I left I had gone through two large glasses of very very very sweet tea. I was dreading the morning. But hey, no indigestion or anything. I would have given four-stars if they had served Jasmine rice. I'm definitely going back to try some more of this tasty food. Good thing is that it's just right outside Cannon Air Force Base where I'm working. But this time, I'm going for the medium!

Legit Thai food. Huge portions, nice family run business. Beware though, Mild is still hot if you're not expecting it.

I went here with coworker. He has the buffet version which has varieties from beef broccoli to chicken curry and soup. I had the daily special for Thursday, Spicy chicken over rice and a egg roll. I asked for medium spicy and she delivered. The customer service is pretty fast because I got my food less than 5 minutes, or maybe I got there at the right time. Prices were around $8 also for the buffet. Next time when I visit, I'll try the buffet version, depending on what is out there.

One of the first places I visit when I travel home! Amazing curry (yellow and red are my personal favorites), the thai fried rice is also great. The "restaurant" it's self may seem a little awkward (it appears to just be a renovated house) but it is worth it. Possibly the best Thai I've ever had.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
