Pierce St., was inspected by the State of New Mexico Environment Department on May 11. The facility received an "Unsatisfactory" rating with a voluntary closure, training and follow-up inspection required. The following information is from the report filed by the department. Seven high-risk violations were found. Poor personal hygiene: hand sink valves not working properly; hand sink dirty and calcite; employee no proper hand wash entered from outside; employee drink on prep counter. Storage: facility left dirty overnight; dirty ice cream maker sour mix left overnight; improper ice scoop at ice machine cross contamination. Nine moderate-risk violations were found. Contaminated equipment: all prep equipment and appliances left dirty overnight; prep counter left dirty overnight; dirty oven inside; reach-in door handle area dirty walk-in; reach-in line cooler dirty tubs; knives dirty and edges need resharpen; fryers dirty greasy; reach-in line cooler top hinge broken; fryer reach-in door not properly sealing gap open loosing cold. Nine low-risk violations were found. Floors/walls/ceilings: floor areas dirty/corners under equipment; dining room left dirty overnight; greasy floor behind fryers; floor drains dirty, mildewed; mop sink area dirty. Ventilation/lighting: hoods and filter dirty. Other: trash cans full left overnight, dirty inside; no lids; gaps on back door; under sink three compartment dirty, pest harborage.
