This is a real find. It was a bit of New Orleans in New Mexico. Food is indeed "real" fresh and home made. Don't pass up the cookies for desert.

You don't have to go all the way to Ruidoso to get great pizza. Renee's was a great find right here in Capitan. Yep! This was our first time to come here. We decided on pizza Thursday. And what a great decision. We had Italian sausage, fresh mushroom and black olives. The pizza sauce was great, the dough was cooked and not soggy and it was loaded with cheese. It was so good. Then we had a Belgian chocolate chip cookie. Really good. The store was very clean and the people there were super friendly. They have different items featured every day. We will return.

Very friendly service. If you are traveling they know a lot and some local secrets. Their food is fresh and delicious. Had a chicken fried chicken sandwich and the "Big Ol' Salad" with shrimps. Very good choice. Probably like all the other ones. Definitely a place to stop by!

I was recently in Capitan for the holidays and found this to be, well, real good food. The pizza was honestly a bit too greasy for me, but my husband's kids loved it. The sandwiches were spot on and everyone was very small town friendly. I hope they continue to do well and I will go again when we're in town.

We've been on the road by RV nearly a year. The guy at Smokey The Bear Museum told us to try Renee's. Was he right! The lunch menu was quite eclectic. Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Cubano Sandwich, Po'Boy... get the picture? What a nice surprise in an out of the way place. Our lunch was awesome! Fried chicken chunks just right, waffle crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Cubano was better than we had on Lido Key! Will definitely go back when we pass this way again.

This is a great little place to eat. I tend to find a dish I like at a restaurant and then stick with that dish every time I go. The single bad thing about this place is I can't decide on just one favorite. I've had several dishes, tried other people's dishes that I'm with, and every time I go back i just want to get everything on one plate. Sunday brunch features chicken and waffles. Before Renee's few people in Capitan had heard of this. Now it sells out every Sunday. Price is very low, especially for the baked goods. Bagels are amazing, selling out very early in the morning. This is THE place to go in Capitan.

Stopped to try this place for lunch and were pleasantly surprised and...it was packed. The muffaletta was great and tuna salad nicely done. Cordial service and fairly efficient for the busy time we were there
