I have been to this place since it opened. The owners are great people. The food is good and the menu has something for everyone. My favorite is the Flame Thrower, a burger with HOT green chile. But all the burgers are good. You can get a baked potato too packed with meat, cheese and chile. This last time I tried the carne adovada skillet. The red chile was delicious. The best part of the menu are the desserts. When my kids were younger, well even in college when the grades were great they got dessert here. There is dessert that is served in a bucket. 6 scoops of ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Always the favorite! The decor could keep you busy for days checking everything out. I like to go in and see what is new.

This place is a refreshing break from the monotony of New Mexican restaurants in the area. It is located in the, now defunct, historic Onate theater. They left the screen and some theater seating so you get that theater vibe. The best part is the atmosphere. It's like English pub, meets biker bar, meets LA theater. The decor on the wall ranges from local artifacts, Santa Fe railroad, classic rock icons, to 60's collectibles, to pin up girls. You can spend your relatively short wait very quickly by just looking around. It's the kind of place to gather with friends and have a few beers and laughs. The burgers are tasty, cheap, and generously portioned. I have always found the service to be good, not great. I would stay away from the New Mexican food menu. I had a taco salad there that the veggies were cut too large, the beans tasted ranch style and I didn't really enjoy it. But the beef and buffalo they use for the burgers here are top notch. They can serve beer and wine but I don't think they have any on tap just bottles. Go here for the atmosphere, the burgers, and energy once in a while unusual cuisine like Ricjy mountain oysters.

Always get good service and Damn fine food here. If your out riding and want to go for a pretty ride head south on Coors till you get to Belen and stop here for some burgers n brews. Great decorations also.

The food is good, but most restaurant staffers eat before serving. I was done with my meal for quite a long time, but it took the ONE & ONLY wait person a long time to bring the bill because she was eating. Obviously, others were affected as well. A similar issue occurred on my previous visit, therefore = 2 stars.

This place is so cool to be in. The restraunt is in a old movie theater and the old floor plan proves it. When you first walk in it's like a movie theater, the host is waiting for you in the area where you normally buy your tickets. In this area they have it decked out with Betty Boop stuff and other stuff from the 50's and 40's. The host then takes you to your table. This is where you would normally watch the movie. All the walls are covered in old record covers, sports memorbilia, posters of rock bands from the 70's, 80's and more. They have old signs, there is to much describe. The absoulte best thing is the old movie theater screen is still working. While I was there they were playing classic ACDC videos on it. It was so cool. The food was good, I had the mushroom burger and it was very tasty. This has to be the gem of Belen. Great atmosphere and a friendly staff.
