Best breakfast on the mountain. Sizable portions, reasonable prices and very short wait for a table. Highly recommend the Alto and I'll be back often!

Stayed in town for a quick get away. We usually go to the competition for breakfast, due to a long wait at the other place we decided to give the Alto Cafe a shot. Best decision we've ever made, great service, good food, and no wait time. The lunch buffet doesn't appear to be to shabby either.

The service was excellent. The food was good but not stellar. Just your typical greasy spoon. We will return as it is so close to where we usually stay.

Used to think this place was a good value...just had poorest excuse for Green Chile Stew....EVER. Hamburger in water broth with six potato chunks for $5....not good......isn't there a Bureau of Standards in NM? should be required to have at least 5 parts per million Green Chile in alleged Green Chile Stew!

The missing stars are due to the bad service and general sense that I was not welcome. It's a blue-collar, salt-of-the-earth, back-woods kind of place with a lot of regulars. The coffee is plain, the chairs are wood, and the background music is country. Tan guy with a long-ish afro wasn't quite the usual Friday breakfast customer. Nevertheless, despite the odd stares that both I and my "fancy" smartphone received, the food was glorious. Americana at it's absolute best. Unpleasant atmosphere, but the food was THAT worth it.

We orders kids and Adult food. We ordered patty melts and I loved them! Kids loved their food too. Not overpriced and staff is friendly we have been there 20 min before closing (oops!) and they take us in.

Excellent breakfast at this cozy cafe near Ski Run road. Service was excellent, prices reasonable and food plentiful and yummy! Great coffe!

Service was quick and courteous. Food was OK. Sure hit the spot after skiing for the morning. I understand breakfast is excellent. I only had lunch here. They are not open for dinner. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat of decent American food, this place will do just fine!
