Stuffed Sopapillas are huge and tastey!! I had mine with green chili, which was spicy to the right degree and the boyfriend had the red chili. The salsa before the meal was out standing, but the hard chips hurt my teeth. He broke down here once and had eaten while he was stuck and he liked it enough to bring me (the critic) and I am happy with the outcome! I only wish I had a taken a picture of the awesome size meal.

I stopped in here for lunch a few days ago coming back from El Paso. I have eaten here a few times in the past, and always thought it was a decent place. One of the specials was the tuna melt sandwich for $6.99. I decided to try it. Glad I did, it was very very good. It came with fries... And quite a generous helping of them. The sandwich itself was excellent. There was a very good mix in the tuna salad of celery, onions, seasonings, and the cheese on top was melted on perfectly. And all of this between a tasty sourdough bread. It might sound odd to be that pleased about a tuna melt sandwich, but I thought it was just awesome! The wait staff are very courteous, and efficient as they've always have been in the past. I will certainly visit again!

Excellent Authentic Mexican Food. We had the beef burrito plates (1 red chili-moderate, the other green chili-HOT), spanish rice and refried beans. Each portion enough for two persons easily--Two soft drinks. To start ordered breaded FRESH zucchini with bleu cheese: large mound on a dinner plate for two. Beef cooked well, moderately seasoned with cilantro, salt, pepper and hint lime & fresh garlic, carmelized red onion, wrapped in freshly baked flour tortilla, on a deep bed of chilled iceberg, white onions, cherry tomatoes, rice and refried beans-- flavorful, savory; green chili, delectably spicy hot: 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, 2 beverage--$28.60 (before tax & grat). Service good. Slot machine room just off the interior exit of restaurant where we won $33.00.

Ordered breakfast burritos for the husband and myself on our road trip home. I love breakfast burritos and of all the ones I've tried, this one was the worst. They drench it in red sauce making it a wet breakfast burrito. This would have been delicious however the sauce, the hashbrown, egg and sausage lacked any kind of flavor. The waitress that helped me gushed over the fact that they "give a lot of food",yeah its big but just because it's a lot of food doesn't mean it tastes good. I had better food at a gas station that served tamales than this place. The burrito gave my husband a bad stomach ache as well. With its lack luster staff and tasteless mountains of mush, skip this place all together.

This place was a great experience. I had the honor of being escorted by a Pueblo Indian. She taught me so much about her heritage during my team's week-long visit. While traveling from one town to the next-we stopped at her tribe's (family/friends) reservation. They have a casino and also own the San Felipe Travel Center & Pueblo Restaurant. She recommended the Pueblo Taco with ground beef-and so, that is what I had. It consisted on traditional fry bread and was topped with beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese and either red or green chili. The state question is, "Red or green?" I had both-Christmas. The presentation was great, the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were huge! Two could easily split one Pueblo taco. Prices are reasonable and the place was clean. Décor reminded me of the 1950's red counter bubble seats and chrome. This is an awesome place to try the local fare to include posole, blue corn mush, and prune pie. To conclude, the service was friendly and welcoming.

Well first off the service is horrible, and very unfriendly. Food took an above normal time considering there weren't many of us in the place. Now the food, well it wasn't that bad, like a 3.5 out of 5 stars, nothing to knock your socks off but pretty good. Red chile was a bit salty and the portions are pretty good size.

This little stop packs quite a bit into one location. Decent gas prices, convenience store, full-service restaurant and even a micro casino. Gas prices are decent but milk was $7.00 a gallon! That's just crazy. You can get lottery tickets and a few things you might see in a truck stop. There is a rewards card program here. They used to carry Krispy Kreme donuts but are now carrying another brand I've not heard of. It's the only thing around for miles so it scores points just for being a convenient location.

Their restaurant is better than expected. Diner style menu with some New Mexican favorites. Prices are right too. The facilities are [relatively] clean. The server on the day we went was prompt, friendly and accommodating. They also offer traditional Horno (Outdoor Dome/Cobb Style Oven) Baked Cookies and Bread. Very simple in taste (i.e. bland for many) but a taste of tradition none the less. [Freshness could be better in these particular items.]

We stopped in on our way from the airport to points north for lunch and coffee. The restaurant was perfect - super friendly waiter, right off the highway, and authentic home-style New Mexican food. My husband had the pueblo-style taco (he's not very brave) and I had the cheese enchiladas with plenty of green chile sauce. It just about made this native weep for joy. The sopapillas were a touch heavy, but they were hot, big and round with plenty of honey. Thank you!

Native American and New Mexican food in a friendly family-oriented environment. Doesn't get much better than this!
