Food was wonderful, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was really ambient and mellow. I had the yellow curry with medium heat and it was just right. My brother had the extra hot and it was spicy for sure, but definitely bearable. The service was fast and everyone was so friendly. It was my first time going, but they made me feel like a regular. I will DEFINITELY BE returning.

2nd time here in my last 2 visits to Albuquerque. If you're a fan of curry, then this is your place! I wanted to try a different curry upon my return visit, but stuck with the Panang Curry with shrimp - extra hot. Lunch portions are perfect size and the Panang is delicious. Right balance of creamy & chunky. Will definitely return next trip!

The food was good. The servers were polite, but not friendly. This location is not "kid-friendly". The server looked very confused when I asked if there was a kid's menu...and he had to ask his manager. To my surprise, they don't have a kids menu and they also don't make smaller portions. This was my first visit and probably my last.

Yeahhh so here's the thing, although the food was good the service was something to be, shall we say, desired. I arrived here with a friend for lunch and had to wait a bit for a booth, no problem, but as we were being seated I noticed there were only a few wait staff for the entire restaurant. That would end up being a problem. We waited a while for our appetizers and our main course and, my pet peeve, having to wait on a water refill. Now I don't think it was for lack of trying I think they were short staffed, but I also think that staff could benefit from more training. All that being said, the food was good. I had the no.22 (i think) from the lunch menu and the fried tofu appetizer (of course). My friend had the Padseew and spring rolls and both looked quite good too. So besides the service being iffy, the food is good. Go ahead and check it out...if you have patience.

I moved into the Area 3 weeks ago & have gone to 5 Thai places so far. This one ranks in the middle & the lunch special is a deal. My only gripe is that the service was sub par. We had to ask the servers at least twice to get a napkin or refill of water.. Me & my mother asked one waitress for a napkin & water but it never came, asked a young man for a napkin & it never came so I got up to get one... Also brown rice instead of white is 3$ extra? This makes zero sense & is a obvious rip off. The food is ok but I think service & management need work. Trying to scam customers with a 3$ up charge for rice or bad service ( which happened BOTH times I went) isn't good... Food seems "ok" & atmosphere is beautiful. Train your waiters or get better ones please

The best Thai I've found in Albuquerque so far. I love their peanut sauce and the curry. They provide a range of spiciness and when you ask for very spicy, they oblige. Been there about six times and the quality and service are always very good. Only drawback is the place is small so you should get their before the big dinner rush.

Ambiance unusually interesting, very efficient quick service, large portions and excellent food! Go! We had the Red Curry and the Pad Thai and both were great. The patio even had pots with real flowers!
(5)Sonya A.
This is a unique place to eat, I love the spring rolls and soups, lots of fresh cilantro and mushrooms so much flavor and the Thai tea is a must do!!

We are definitely lacking Thai food here on the Westside and Thai Kitchen was a welcome addition. It may not be the best Thai food I've ever had, but I don't think there is any actually in town that is the best I've had, so you can't use that against them. The location is very convenient and it's a very nicely decorated place. We sat outside since it was a nice summer evening. The food is very fresh and tastes of that wholesome yummy warmth you get from Thai food in general. We ordered the crab rangoon, which wasn't too greasy and was yummy. We also got our old standbys. I love Masamun, Panang curry and usually pick out dishes with lots of vegetables. Everything tasted spot on and gave us enough heat. The staff was excellent. Sometimes when you sit outside you get ignored, but not here. They brought us refills on our sodas without asking and visited with us a bit to see how we were doing. When we left they encouraged us to write a review on any site we use. No problem! We will be back

I am always in the mood for Thai food and this place does not disappoint. They make a delicious Pad King which is what I usually get when I eat Thai. They have reasonable prices and the food tastes very fresh. I ordered my Pad King with chicken and a medium spiciness. The chicken was all white meat, next time I will get it with a little bit more spice since it wasn't quite enough spice for me. Based on other Thai restaurants their spicy level seems to be on the milder end. But you can just ask for them to kick it up a notch. I can't speak for how the service is here since I have only had take out, however it is a cute atmosphere that I would enjoy dining in on my next visit.

We ate here and all the meals were prepared with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. The service was excellent and attentive. This is our new favorite Thai food resturant.

First time I was here, we shared the spring rolls. They were so chewy, they reminded me of rawhide chews I used to give my dog. I couldn't even finish these. I also ordered the Peanut Curry and this was excellent. Lots of spinach in it and full of flavor with the peanut sauce. I asked for Thai hot and it was the equivalent of New Mexico Hot, but not overly so. Yummy. So, tonight, I wanted to try the Pad Thai-pork and one of my favorites, Tom Kah soup with shrimp. I was starving by the time I got it home. Ordered it Thai hot again, but this time, it was just moderate hot. The soup was so full of mushrooms, large pieces of tomatoes, onions and lots of shrimp. Delicious! Pad Thai noodles were kind of sticky, but the taste was wonderful with the cabbage, peanuts and abundance of pork. Quality and quantity are outstanding here--I have enough for lunch tomorrow, so the price is definitely right. If you like Thai, you'll love Thai Kitchen.

I love this place I go there a lot for take out green curry chicken. I would however avoid spring rolls, they are raw and without flavor.

Same owner of Siam Cafe on San Mateo. EXCELLENT FOOD as usual. This restaurant has a more elegant ambiance and a more personalized service. Highly recommend!! I have been to Thailand a few times and the food at Thai a Kitchen is pretty authentic. Glad we FINALLY got a good Thai restaurant on the west side!!
(5)Michael N.
I was so pleasantly surprised when I learned Siam Café opened a Westside location. I used to be a weekly lunch diner at Siam for 15 years. There aren't any GREAT Thai restaurants near Cottonwood Mall, however Rio Rancho's Banana Leaf is a good destination option. I always use Massaman curry as a measure of the quality of any Thai restaurant's kitchen quality. The presentation is only outweighed by the quality of this dish at Thai Kitchen. The beef is tender and exploding with flavor, from soaking in the delicious curry. The potatoes are tender, but not mushy. It doesn't matter if business is slow or busy, the waitresses are always attentive, energetic and make sure you're treated like a valued patron. The owner has always checked on me and often the chef, his wife, will take a surprise tour of the dining room, checking on customers. This location has been several different restaurants, but I hope Thai Kitchen, and the staff, will be around for a long time! Support locally-owned businesses and avoid the chains and franchises, unless you enjoy bland food and robotic, inattentive servers.

Just arrived and immediately asked what we wanted to drink and then the guy who asked us disappeared and someone else came along to ask us again.

This is my regular spot each week! I love the Pad Thai and the service is amazing. You wont go one minute with an empty water glass. Order the fresh shrimp spring rolls your mouth will thank you!
(5)S B.
My husband and I found this restaurant by accident. To move forward, we love it! The restaurants version of "hot" is not hot at all. The veggie egg rolls are great as well!
(4)Dwain K.
Calm inviting atmosphere, great service and very, very tasty clean dishes!!!
(5)Tara P.
Best Thai food I've had in Albuquerque. The owner use to own Siam cafe on the other side of town, which is a little less expensive and has lower lighting and a somewhat sexier vibe but the food at Thai kitchen is of higher quality in my opinion. The chicken is much more tender haha. The owner and his wife who's the chef are extremely charming. Definitely worth several visits. Get any of their curries and you will leave happy.
(5)Eric H.
After eating at a couple of disappointing thai restaurants, I stopped by here. I ordered my usual, pork pad thai - hot. It was very good. We will be back
(5)Jenn M.
Finally, an amazing Thai place on the Westside! The decor is warm and beautiful. The food is incredible and the service is friendly and attentive. The only negative is, the are not serving alcohol, yet....
(5)Frank E.
Fabulous food! Frank Hot + 2 is my magic number. A restaurant not to be missed! Don't spare the chile Bon!
(5)Ben K.
Fantastic Thai food. I was looking for a new place that served authentic and delicious Thai, and I found it here!
(5)Duy N.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. A great treasure on the Westside of Albuquerque. Location is a bit hidden from the street but definitely worth the hunt. It is situated right behind Il vicino on the corner of Corrales road and Alameda. I highly recommend the chicken pad thai, and fried rice dishes also go great with the curry dishes. The flavor profile compared to Chinese fried rice is completely different. They used a fresh, white meat, chicken breast, and fresh vegetables in the dishes I ordered. Thai tea is also a must. Everything I had was awesome. Wait staff is great and helpful as well. Very nice, clean, and well kept.

I went here with my family and was looking forward to trying it for the 1st time. The restaurant was crowded. We stood at the front waiting to be greeted. Two staff persons were working but didn't glance our way. After 5 minutes I made the call to bail out. What ever happened to making a guest feel welcome?
(1)Tc H.
I thought I give this place a try since I read the reviews and was excited that we finally got another Thai restaurant on the west side. The service was great and the Thai tea was not bad. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and went on the recommendations of others to order it extra spicy. I was surprised with the rice soup that they offer before you eat your meal. It was filling and by the time my lunch arrived, I was pretty much full. I had better Pad Thai and was disappointed. I felt like the shrimp was just thrown in a boiling pot of water and then mixed into the noodles. No flavor whatsoever. I probably won't be back but happy that others enjoy.
(2)Suzanne B.
Good flavors & nice wait staff but noodles had 3 tiny pieces of chicken, beef panang was vegetables with a few chopped up pieces of beef & sweet & sour shrimp had 4 tiny shrimp in the whole container! At $8.95 to $12.95 we paid for each dish not to mention the garden salad that cost $7.95 & was the size of a fast food side salad we felt totally ripped off! How can they stay in business by short changing their customers to this extreme? Is the food really that bad in Albuquerque that this place gets almost 5 stars?? I don't get it! We spent over $60 for 2 of us 1 app & 1 salad, 1 dish each!

My wife and I had dinner at Thai Kitchen tonight with another couple. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. This is one of the best restaurants my wife and I have been to in the area. A true value on all levels. It might also be helpful for some to know that there are soy-free and gluten-free choices on the menu.
(5)Janni V.
Food was really good and fresh. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back soon to try more of their selections. The only negative was that there are televisions in there. No need for those unless you are wanting a bar experience.
(4)Walt S.
The current Thai kitchen was formerly inhabited by an Indian restaurant. I went with a companion for dinner. The wait staff seemed eager to please but somewhat confused. We ordered appetizers, which came fairly quickly, and then the entree. The appetizers were brought, but the menus never removed. Both entrees looked about the same, brought in a large bowl with a much too salty broth. My entree, a curry eggplant dish, was very overcooked and mushy. The bitterness of the eggplant was the predominant flavor. I asked for medium heat, and the dish came with no discernable heat whatsoever. I do not feel my dining experience was memorable or exceptional in any way, especially the taste of the food. There is no reason for me to return.

Read the Yelp reviews. Needed Drunken Noodles. It did not disappoint! The best drunken noodles I have had for a very long time. The heat is a little on the mild side but the flavor is very good. Yes, they are low on waiting staff but the staff are nice and attentive. The food actually came out very quickly. Clean, good atmosphere. I will be going again and again.
(5)Judy G.
Very tasty Pad Thai noodles. Went for lunch, 8.50 generous portion. Agree on the heat scale being low, medium heat was low. They did not have a house hot pepper sauce only store bought. Did not care for the bland rice soup. Lunch did not include drink. All that said, We will definitely be going back.

This place was pretty good. Although service didn't feel like it was well organized, it was adequate. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the pad thai! The peanut curry was also good. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes.
(4)Trevor R.
Dropped in for lunch and was impressed. Server used a tablet to take our order, which seemed to result in our lunch entrees coming out sooner than one might expect. While the food came out quickly, it tasted freshly cooked and not warmed over at all. Food was tasty and there were quite a few options on the lunch menu. Service was friendly and efficient. Decor was nice, including a sort of wall tableau that was made of intricately carved wood, and made the restaurant feel relaxing and not part of a strip mall. I'm glad that the restaurant options in the north valley are improving!
(4)Charlene S.
Great food! One of our new favorite eateries in ABQ. Try the Pad Thai or Lo Mein. Only giving it four stars because they don't have a child's menu.
(4)Eric H.
Thai kitchen serves up some fresh dishes. We ordered the Thai Basil Chicken and were not disappointed in the flavor or spice level at all. I really appreciate them cooking white meat as it's the way I like to roll when I eat Oriental food. The mango drink that accompanied my meal was a refreshing perk. The restaurant is laid out nicely; it's a small space but seems like it seats a decent amount of customers. I'd bump the review up to four stars if they had a lunch menu on the weekends.
(3)Keira M.
I was not expecting the food to be so good. A friend brought this over for take out on Friday night. The ingredients were fresh, tasty, and not greasy. We ordered 5 different plates and shared. Delicious! I would only add that the "hot" was not hot. You may want to try "extra hot"
(4)Carrie S.
Tried this place for the first time tonight. It was very good! I was able to sample all of the different currys, which made me happy. They were all yummy, but the red curry was my favorite. The service was great. Everyone was very attentive, but didn't over-do it. This is definitely a new go-to spot for me & my husband.
(5)John G.
Every thing I have eaten here has been excellent. Service has also been very good. Owners are the best.
