Have to give it 5 stars bc they have the trifecta of great service, great food and great view of the mountains. The chicken yakisoba noodles were awesome. And i didn't know miso soup could be so good. The sushi was good quality, but not really my taste. We got the sunrise and geisha. I wish i went with the Dragon roll instead. The waitress was super friendly and even made me an iced green tea though it wasn't on the menu.

The food and service is really good I wish they could spend some money on the restaurant. The sushi was well-made, there more like medium size. But as for taste awesome I give that five stars and I give your service five stars. We had a great time there and I have been there numerous times. We will return soon

Seriously- waited 5 minutes before leaving due to lack of service- THEY COULDN'T EVEN TAKE our drink order. So- I can't say how the sushi is- hopefully it's better than the horrible service.

A last minute Saturday night craving led me here last week. I'd been once before years ago but don't remember anything from that experience. The experience here was excellent from walking in to leaving. The waitresses were funny and helpful. The serving sizes for the sashimi are HUGE. The fish is fresh and they have a good mix of traditional and inventive rolls. They also have several rolls that incorporate red and green. They also had red bean mochi in stock- something I have noticed as unusual for sushi places around here. Most on there places seem to always be out of stock. Also, here open until 10:30p on Saturday nights which is pretty much the latest you're going to get in the westside. Overall, we had a great meal for a great price . We will be heading back soon!

No regrets whatsoever! Every time we eat here it just gets better and better! Some of the freshest sashimi and sushi I've had in the Q! Order anything on their menu and you will be pleased! Their prices and service are great as well! Definitely order the soups and tempura appetizers!

Sushi king has very good sushi!! Creative rolls and generous portions!! The staff and owners are very friendly people who run an excellent business. They definitely get an a+ for presentation- I've never had my sushi come out looking like a little dragon- too cool!! I had them cater for my wedding and they did such an excellent job! My wedding party was about 100 people and everybody really enjoyed the sushi- it was the highlight of the buffet table. My husband's grandfather, who has never tried sushi was really impressed. He's hooked on it now. That's what happens when you try good sushi, he's been spoiled by the best and no where else compares. Love, love, love this place!! Not only do they have good food, this place is ran by good people. Definitely a place that will prosper and set the bar high.

You should know above all else that this place serves very large portions. You don't need to order too much, because what you get you get a lot of. They had a Habanero Roll on special so of course I had to try that. It was delicious, the habanero pepper being mixed with lemon. And yes, it was very, very hot. Caught me off guard a little bit. Other specials were also very good. Pretty basic setup. Kind of a diner feel to the space, not a traditional setting at all. There's another Sushi King off Paseo that I've been to, and that one's not nearly as good as this.

The atmosphere is nice. We like the modern and clean restaurant. We ordered three types of sushi. Going counterclockwise in the picture: Crunchy Roll (top): Dry. Dry. Dry. We love crunch roll and always order it at sushi restaurants but this one was dry. It tasted okay. Snow White (left): belongs in the not so good sushi that we've eaten. I was curious about the flaky things on top of the sushi. It basically is a salty, strong fishy tasting flake that didn't go well with the shrimp tempura sushi. There was too much wasabi in the sushi. This sushi is not good. Would never order this again and would never waste money on this sushi. Happy Roll (right): now this one we really, really liked. The sweet sauce along with the shrimp and avocado was really good. We highly recommend this one. This place serves good sushi but we will try other ones. So far Sushi Xuan is still the best sushi place we've been to in Albuquerque.

Ok. So, I have to chuckle. I've experienced the Sushi King over in Rio Rancho and have ultimately written them off due to their lack of quality. With that being said .... I was running errands and came across this particular Sushi King and decided to give it a shot. WELL, I can definitely say that my family and I will drive to *this* location because the service I received was amazing. Right when I walked through the door, the hostess made me feel extremely welcomed, offered up suggestions for rolls and took the time to chit chat. When the rolls arrived, she would check on me every five minutes or so to see if I needed anything else. T'was time for me to roll on out of there due to my gluttony overload..I actually asked the hostess if the location in Rio Rancho was affiliated with them..as a matter of fact, they are. All three locations are owned by the same person. I explained my experience from them and she's heard lots of complaints (almost per vadum) regarding the sushi quality. *THIS* location is excellent because the rolls actually stay tightly rolled, the staff are very nice and the quality of the sushi was beyond excellent!

Been coming here for several years now (Coors location), and I'm never disappointed! Fresh sashimi, great service and the chefs specials are great! I'm rather picky about sushi, especially the salmon sashimi I always order, and what I love about this place is the portion sizes. You may pay $11 for sashimi, but it comes with 7-8 large size pieces, that you can easily split with another person. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely, which always makes the experience more enjoyable. I believe this one is owned by the same management as the other ones, but so far, this is my favorite location. One of my favorite things about Sushi King, is that they are actually OPEN on Sunday! SOOOOOO many sushi places are closed on Sunday, so that makes this place one of my favs! They're also open later than a lot of other sushi places in the area. Can't wait to go back.

I am giving this place three stars because the food was good. But the service was just terrible. I don't know who's idea it was to have ONE sushi chef and ONE irritated server. I had to get up several times to refill my drink or ASK somebody to get me a refill. I will not be returning to this place for that reason alone.

Sushi King pleasantly surprised us. The service was wonderful; attentive, kept our iced tea filled and answered any questions. The coconut shrimp was a good start to our meal. Ordered 3 rolls (2 with salmon, 1 with crab) from the long list. Just enough food for 2 people, with no leftovers and they all were exceptional. The location worried me a bit, because it doesn't look like a great location for a sushi joint. However, don't be fooled, because once you're inside, the view of the mountains is nice from the many windows at the front of the restaurant and the decor simple and clean.

Pleasantly surprised! On a whim I stopped bye this little place and discovered a true treasure. Customer service was great, sushi chefs were friendly, portions were enormous and best of all the food was beautifully prepared and YUMMY. I will absolutely visit again.

I love Sushi King! The specialty sushi menu is superb. The sushi chefs are also very accommodating when it comes to my grain-free diet. They're willing to make my sushi rolls without rice (with everything else--just no rice) and they don't appear to be offended by my special request. Other sushi places wouldn't dream of "debasing" the art of sushi-making by making riceless rolls. Sushi King's customer service is EXCELLENT and I am thankful for their open-mindedness and culinary flexibility. I also love the kawaii nekos situated throughout the restaurant. Great feline juju.

The service was excellent Nice atmosphere, The sushi's presentation was nice. But, the proportion of rice to filling was off. Way off. Very ricey I'm guessing its a cost saving measure ? Also a customer loosing measure

Like all the Sushi King's around town, this one is also great. The food is super fresh and tasty, and the service is always quite charming. You feel more like you've stepped into someone's home rather than a restaurant. The folks are always extremely friendly and gracious, and you can tell they're genuinely thankful for your patronage. We're Sushi King fans and will continue to frequent these restaurants for as long as we're able.

This is my favorite place to get sushi on the Westside. They have really generous portions (I always get the Salmon Sashimi which is seven or eight LARGE pieces) and fast service. I usually have the same woman server who is always so pleasant and on top of things. I am a stickler for service and I am always really happy when I am immediately greeted upon arrival and my water glass is never empty--but that may just be me. Its never too busy in here, or loud, and I always have a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend!

Tried the Sandia Roll and the Arigato Roll. Sandia was a little bland, even with the green chile. Arigato was by far the better and would definitely go back for it again. Too many deep fried options for my taste, but decent variety overall. Clean, open and spacious restaurant. Staff was patient as I couldn't make up my mind.

Our first visit at the West Side location was a good one. The place was clean and the service was friendly. We ordered the New Mexico, Veggie, California, and Cucumber rolls. We dined in on a slower Saturday afternoon, so our food didn't take that long to arrive. Everything tasted good, as you would expect from the average sushi restaurant. If you're looking for a no-frills sushi spot and you're on the westside or Rio Rancho, check this place out.

I stopped there the other day and not sure on what to order. I knew that I wanted some tuna. I sat at the bar to ask the chef about some tuna, he knew what I wanted and the waitress order it. Sitting there I was thinking that I was very Hungary and that I didn't order enough food, well I was wrong there was plenty of rolls with tuna on top and inside, it was very good and fresh. I will go there again. Then I walked to the broken bottle brewery just a few doors away and had one of there crafted beers, it was a good evening for dinning out !

We stopped on for a quick lunch today. I've been to other locations of Sushi king in ABQ before and figured this one was worth a try and I was not disappointed. Now, I didn't order any of the Nigiri or even any of the raw fish rolls so I can't comment on them. The rolls we did order however had lots of flavor, were fresh, and were generously sized. My favorite roll sadly enough was the New Mexican roll which has some fried green Chile in it. I know its probably not traditional sushi at all but I justify it by thinking of it as New Mexican/Japanese fusion. The service for lunch was perfect, quick and responsive. The waitress even asked us if we had been there before which we hadn't which makes me think that there are lots of regulars, always a good sign.
