I've been to this restaurant several times and have almost always had a great experience. The only complaints is churning one visit for a dinner conference was a very rude waiter. In fact he was probably the worst server I have ever had. We had a very large group and he managed to make all 20 of its upset. Besides that one experience in which the food was still fantastic I have no complaints.

Have to preface this review, with that I've never eaten inside the restaurant...only been in the bar/patio area. I love this places' happy hour. It is awesome. They have some very tasty treats for HH and are not french fries and nachos. I'm talking about brie and other equally yummy scrumtrulescent items. The patio is awesome as well. They have a nice little fire place area that can keep you warm in the fall and spring. Nice place to check out and as I've seen from other reviews it may be a good thing that I've stuck with the happy hour.

We came here two times with my husband and I must say that the atmosphere is very nice. However, the food was a little disappointing considering the prices, which are not cheap. The first time around both of our meals were too salty. The second time around, me and my husband ordered two different meat dishes (elk and beef), with two different sauces, according to the menu. However, when the dishes came, we tried each other's food and the sauces in both plates tasted the same, in addition to having the same color and texture. I'd say that the food here is good, but it could be much better for the prices they charge.

We sat in the bar and had a great experience. Staff is always attentive. Ordered the cranberry chutney, 2 organic salads and 2 hamburgers and didn't come close to finishing it. I need to hang out here more often.

Wonderful atmosphere with good wine and my favorite dish being seared sea scallop salad, invite a few friends in the bar and your set for the night.

The Patio Bar & Lounge will be a delicious surprise--gourmet food and a comfortable, upscale ambience for you and your friends. During Happy Hour from 3-6 pm you can enjoy your favorite drink and choose from a large array of sandwiches, calamari, skewered delectables, and the like. The Savoy present s the Champagne Hour from 9-10 pm. This just may be the perfect place in Albuquerque to develop a new circle of friends, sparkling drinks, and conversations around a roaring fire. I've had a lot of fun there, and I hope you will, too! If you are hosting CA tourists, this is your spot.

Yummmm! This place does such a great job with top quality service and food. I was impressed with the waiter we had. He had answers to everything, and if he didn't he pulled someone over to explain. The food was delish! I had the prime rib and a moscow mule. The combo was delightful. Such a FAT piece of meat ha (see the photo). Located in the NE heights, and a perfect spot to bring someone for an event (here for a bday) or just to get a good meal. The atmosphere is elegant and a nice tone. Kind of expensive but worth it once and a while.
Hosted a private dinner in the Napa Room on May 15th for a client of mine and 14 of his clients. Everything was excellent! The room was perfect for delivering a presentation. Michele provided us with incredible service and the food was excellent! I will go here every chance I get when I am in town.

I live out of state and this is my first visit. I'll be back tomorrow. Best happy hour I have ever been to!!! Adam, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and states that everything is good, and I bet it is. We loved the prime rib pepper steak sandwich which was an incredibley huge sandwich on a baguette, gruyere cheese and onions included with truffle fries. We also ordered the prosciutto wrapped goat cheese which was accompanied with dried cranberries (maybe pickled) but a great side with grilled bread. Both were wonderful appetizers and so reasonably priced. Margarita was also yummy.

Easter Brunch 2014 - this was our first time dining here and we were incredibly underwhelmed. From the service to the food, it all fell far below expectations for a restaurant that is supposed to be one of the better ones in Albuquerque. Water glasses were left unfilled for long stretches of time, I never received a coffee refill, and the waiter seemed too bogged down to properly attend to our table. I ordered the eggs benedict which came out cold. Their second attempt was almost worse, with the eggs hastily cooked on the flat top instead of poached. They did not even look cooked, as the whites were still clear and there was mustard on the english muffin. Who puts dijon mustard on eggs benedict? My husband's waffles from his fried chicken and waffles tasted like they were a freezer reheat and the chicken was bland. It also wasn't breaded and fried, like you would expect for this menu item. The compensatory carrot ginger soup while I waited for my second round of food was pleasant and a nice gesture, but not enough to salvage the experience. The bread basket was good, but refills will cost you $3. Overall, a poor showing. We will not be back.

Our apps were slightly disappointing but the mains were pretty good, however my hub wasn't feeling the decor, and my organic greens salad had black rotten bits in it...which was gross. I'm ok with picking them out - but the question is - why are they there in the first place?? Am I going to die? Anyway, besides that it was ok, but I think I'm going to stick my margarita/patio chat format for savoy...

Nice restaurant and service. Shellfish trio was delicious. Salad and desert were good too. Live music on certain nights of week.

This review is more a review of the Bar and Grill. My husband and I are on a very tight budget but we know we can always get delicious local food from a great restaurant at way affordable prices if we go before 6pm. The bar has a happy hour menu in which you can order a burger with truffle fries or a prime rib sandwich with peppers, onions and a side of truffle fries all for $7. The food is delicious, the portions are plentiful and we know the food is local. We have also eaten in the dining room a few times and the food and service are very good. The herb butter served with the bread is outstanding! The steaks have always been cooked to our liking and the vegetables are always fresh. Lunch is also a very affordable way to eat delicious food at Savoy. Don't pass them by just because they appear to be a high end restaurant, you can eat affordably and we really appreciate that!

Always a great happy hour. They have awesome prices on drinks and food. The food portions are as if you are having a regular meal. The atmosphere on the patio is fab. Love to come here for happy hour!!! It's a must.

Upscale atmosphere and unique chef crafted food! Savoy has daily lunch specials that offers food from local farms. Lunch ends at 2pm but they allow you to stay without rushing you out. Wine list is robust and live music make it a fun night out! Savoy has delicious food with mediocre servers. If you have a business meeting, friends gathering or date night Savoy is the place to make it a special night!

Had dinner with my best friends on Monday, I ordered the eggplant entree and asked for it Vegan. The kitchen did a beautiful job preparing the dish! Eric was our server and he was most gracious and attentive. Thank you Savoy for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I tried Savoy as a date night experience. We made reservations on a Saturday night, but I don't know if they were necessary, at 7 the restaurant was only half full. The bar side seemed to have many more customers. The setting and decor is upscale with a partially open kitchen. One of the joys of an open kitchen is watching a professional team of chefs work to create artistry in food. I have to say, the chefs appeared a bit sloppy to me. All of the chef jackets were too big, most of the chefs had different colors of t-shirts on and facial hair. They were also very loud, but appeared to like each other and were having a good time at work. Open kitchen concepts work a bit better with a more professional chef team as though watching a performance rather than cooks in a kitchen. They reminded me of when I worked in family style restaurants as a teenager with a young crew, it was impossible to tell who was expediting, who was the exec, who was the sous.... it wasn't upscale. Even our server remarked that the kitchen was loud that night. Would I to return I would ask for a table further away from the kitchen. Our server was a very nice person but maybe was new? She didn't know the specials, and didn't have many suggestions. We asked for the specials otherwise wouldn't have known them and the pace set was very quick, no offer of an aperitif or time to review the menu. It kind of felt like when you're at IHOP and the server asks what you want as fast as possible. The food was definitely 3 star A-OK. I liked the food, but didn't think that it really went anywhere new or interesting. The portions were enormous. We each ordered an appetizer and an entree. We really didn't need the entree, the appetizers were huge. We didn't finish a single plate but had them wrapped to take home. I had the goat cheese and crostini and the nightly special; a flatiron steak and shrimp. The goat cheese was good (I mean come on it's cheese) and the crostini was fine. While this wouldn't win any awards, it tasted good. It's something though that anyone could make at home and with the huge portion on a very small plate it wasn't visually a showstopper. The special was meh. Grilled steak is always good and the temperature was correct to order. I think the issue was more with presentation and texture. There was really nothing on the plate that elevated it. Mashed potatoes covered with a squash in sauce then the steak and finished with some fried onions, that were mushy. The entire thing was really a plate of single texture with no stand out flavors. The shrimp were under the squash and sauce and I couldn't tell how they were prepared, there was that little flavor. The whole plate was a bit one note with no real impact. We didn't bother with dessert. Overall, we spent about 125$+20% tip for this date night. The setting was upscale if not elegant, the service was ordinary, the food was mediocre. It kind of felt like the type of place your grandfather would take you for a graduation dinner. It felt old fashioned, tired, and without innovation or energy. I think I will try the happy hour in the bar as they have a separate menu and happy hour specials. This wasn't worth a special date night and it was disappointing. I will continue to look for a modern fine dining establishment.

I love this place! we decided to host our intimate wedding reception here and the staff was so very accommodating. Majority of my party do not eat pork and when it was discovered that one of the menu items contained pork, the staff was quick to suggest an alternative. They were very kind about it and did not complain even when we were a bit loud (there were several small children about). The food itself was delicious! the petite steak i had was the best cooked steak I've ever eaten! Furthermore the covered patio area was quite nice and overall the private party process was very smooth as i had steady contact with the coordinator.I would recommend Savoy Bar & Grill for anyone looking for a great intimate party venue.

Okay, I'm a HUGE fan. I cannot vouch for the regular dinner menu but I'm sure I will soon because the wine tasting event was the best I have ever had - and that includes a couple in Napa Valley and one outside of Paris years ago. After an initial miscommunication with one of their staff, the manager reached out to me to get me to come in, which I did, last night, dragging one of the parentals (my darling Mom). First of all, you should know this is not just a wine tasting: It is a very high-end, five-course dinner from excellent chefs who are flexing their culinary muscles and clearly enjoying the opportunity to be creative, and wine pairings that are spot on. The tasting room is just a private dining room, beautifully lit, with several tables that seat 6-8 each. With just two of us, we were seated with some other people who were all repeat customers and were raving when we first sat down about how great the last one was. The chef came out to explain each dish and his inspiration for same. The pastry chef came out at the end and when she said the words "goat cheese," my mother's face was priceless, but seriously it was the best dessert I have had in ages, and even Mom loved it. I did not love every wine, but I loved the way they thoughtfully paired each one with the accompanying dish. It was more than a tasting, and more than a dinner, it was an experience. It is expensive for Albuquerque, but you are not paying for someone to make you feel superior at your next dinner party with some new wine jargon, you are paying for the ridiculously good food, great atmosphere, and some truly remarkable wines that you don't see on most wine menus - certainly not here in our fine state. The chef, the sommelier, and the management come table to table to answer questions and make sure you are happy. I won't go into detail about every single item that was served but will say that there was nothing that was not creative, very tasty, and beautifully presented. I expected to have a little taste of something with a drop of wine with each and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was getting full by the third course and had to lay off to save room for the rest of the deliciousness. If you want something special, get on their email list and try one a wine tasting. Truly a memorable evening. Thanks, Kevin and Michelle!

I almost forgot that this beautiful, elegant restaurant used to be good ol' Yesterdave's. But in all seriousness, it's a great setup and tasteful environment. The restaurant was elegant, inviting, and perfect for the occasion we were celebrating. The menu here is diverse, taking some risks here and there, but not over-doing it. I absolutely loved all the appetizers; we sampled quite a few! And my main course was fresh and flavorful. I really appreciate how the food is not over seasoned with anything. Sometimes it seems as though restaurants cover up natural flavors with too many spices and add-ins, but not at Savoy!! Instead the food is simple, yet still bursting with natural aromas. I really enjoyed my experience here, but my one complaint was the service. It was confusing because we had one waiter at the beginning of our meal and suddenly we had a different waitress. She was very odd, and a bit too close for comfort. She also would not fill the wine glasses as often as we would have liked, or as full. All in all, great experience. I definitely recommend checking this one out if you have not.

Atmosphere was grate bartender Arthur was grate making my wife feel at home for her birthday. One of the nicest bartender in town. Prime rib was good but was served with steamed broccoli under it (not a good idea) to me prime needs to be served with nothing to ruin the meat taste. Grate place to meet with friend's. My first visit for my wife's b-day and was just ok, but as I said the bartender made our night.

We have been here twice; once for our anniversary, and once for my husband's birthday. Both times have been wonderful. My husband and I do not get to go out often, so when we do, we like to make an evening of our meal. On our second visit, we told our server we wanted to take our time, and she obliged 100%. My husband surprised me with a diamond ring after we ordered our drinks, and our server gave us time to gush and and enjoy the moment. Our server explained everything to us wonderfully and was amazing at using descriptive words for everything. One of our favorite places for a nice meal!!

Wow....Just....Wow....Went here for a very intimate Sunday Night Dinner and the ambiance is just incredible. They lights were nice and dim, it was quiet, there wasn't many folks in there either & the waiter was truly great with timing. You know, when you order an antipasto the experienced waiter let's you actually finish before asking what you'd like to order. The chicken crusted parmasan was delicious as was the wine! Coming back again hopefully!

I've been here for educational dinners for my job, out with my honey on a date, and most recently, for a Yelp Elite event. I've been impressed with this place each and every time. They are consistant (just like the two sister businesses: Zinc and Seasons) and unique. There's always something different and mouthwatering on the menu for every palet! Savoy provides one of the finest dining experiences available in Albuquerque and I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is that it is expensive. But I believe you are paying for quality at Savoy. I'm willing to pay for the excellent food they provide. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here on Tuesday September 8 and let me tell you, I left in a happy food coma. We had Brent as our server and he is AMAZING! He suggested a great white wine that was very elegant and went spectacular with everything that I had, such as two appetizers, salad, entree, and dessert ( I love food! ). Brent, also suggested what to order for our dining experience as well. Let's just say I had one of those evenings where I did not want to make any decision making. Everything he suggested was fantastic and all done with professionalism. I also liked that he and other staff members were very personable by having small talk which also nice. Not once were we disappointed with anything that we had or thought well this is "just okay" ( have always had great food and service). I want to thank Brent, and the rest of the staff for a very pleasant dining service that evening.

Sigh. Savoy was the hope for NE Heights. Sadly, we are better off trekking to Nob Hill/Downtown. There are so many choices for Happy Hour bar food that kill it over Savoy and so many fine dining choices (albeit nothing this part of town) that satisfy. Why?! Just because you have a good location doesn't mean you don't have to work for it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Savoy. I wasn't expecting much because of some of the reviews, but the food was really good. I will say, it was very pricey--especially for the size of the portions and the fact that I ordered a vegetarian dish. I also wasn't hugely appreciative of the overall snooty atmosphere, but c'est la vie. I wasn't apprised of the situation before I arrived so I was underdressed. I had the goat cheese pasta with roasted brussel sprouts and added the braised pork belly for an extra cost. I'd skip the pork belly next time. It was basically just put under a salamander until it became crispy, and it was rather dry and had a strange texture. I'll be back when I've got a cute outfit to wear and way more money in my pocket.

Blah - not impressed. I've tried their pulled pork, meatball marinara, and the prime rib - all very mediocre. The pulled pork was weird tasting (not really sure how to explain it) and the meatball marinara was dry and distasteful. Plus, they have NO FROZEN DRINKS. I asked for a strawberry daiquiri and the waitress comes back with a drink on the rocks that tasted like an extreme lime-version of strawberry lime-aid. Come on! If someone orders a strawberry daiquiri, you might want to warn them that it would be on the rocks, not frozen. Plus the waitress (that we got stuck during both visits) was not observant and kind of snotty with us. The only reason they got 2-stars is the cool lights in the bar was cool and entertaining to look at. But, I won't be going here again.

I love this place. We use to go to Savoy quite often before we had kids. Last night we had the Filet Mignon (it melted in your mouth) and Seafood ravioli (I stole a bite of my husbands and it was incredible). This reminded me of why I miss this place! We started our meal with some nice glasses of Pinot Noir and a salad. Their food tastes incredibly fresh and amazing, the salad was delicious, tomatoes tasted farm fresh. I love that my asparagus on my plate wasn't an after thought, they tasted fresh and looked beautiful. We ended with dessert, the tiramisu. The tiramisu comes with a raspberry sauce. I asked for it on the side because in the past at other restaurants it was either too sweet or too tart, which I hate. The raspberry sauce was light and tart which I just drizzled over the dessert. We hope in the future we can eat here more often, I love this place!!! This is such a hidden gem tucked in the NE heights.

We have been here a couple of times. They have a nice atmosphere. Our server was friendly and accommodating. He did mess up my last drink order, I waited until I finished dinner to get it. The first drink was the Spring Cooler. We ordered the goat cheese wrapped with prosciutto and garnished with dried cranberries. It was warm and Delish! Next, dinner course, he had the seafood trio with Halibut, shrimp and scallops. He said it was good. I had their Filet mignon with the setup of the sirloin, ( the waiter gave me that tip. It had a mound of onion strings, smashed red potatoes (heavy on the pepper and rosemary) and roasted Brussels sprouts. My steak I believe was just a tad over medium, but was still moist and Tender, so I didn't complain. We were stuffed so no dessert for us.

This is our go to place for really nice dining in Albuquerque. Probably would have given it 5 stars but out of our 6-7 times we have been there we did have one poor experience both with dinner and the service. Have been back since and had a fine dinner. We love the atmosphere and the food specials have been very good. Awesome date night restaurant.

We made a reservation for an early Sunday evening dinner because my husband was in the mood for Prime Rib. He was not disappointed! From the private table next to a window to the excellent server to the fabulous Prime Rib and Filet Mignon - it was a top shelf evening! My husband was pleased with the beers on tap. Our waiter helped me create a wonderful flight of red wines. Our calamari appetizer was both tasty and visually appealing with a spicy avocado aioli, but it seemed a little expensive for the portion size. My husband was thrilled with his Prime Rib. He chose the standard cut with shaved horse radish. My petite Filet Mignon was lovely - tender and moist. And I loved the generous and perfectly prepared asparagus!

This is a very classy place. Wonderful for dates, celebrations, family get togethers and after work cocktails. Definitely the nicer of what we have in our area and with great food. Fair sized portions to eat. However I don't feel the food is that great as the ambiance and drinks lead you to believe. It's at a great location right off a man street but it's a nice place.
I really enjoyed Savoy. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The main complaint seems to be the fact that it's expensive, but I think most New Mexicans are just not used to anything that costs more than Applebees. This is a very beautiful restaurant and I hope to see it continue to be supported. Their wine selection was so amazing I couldn't make up my mind. The waiter suggested one that was perfect. I will be back as often as I can. :)

My family and I love Savoy. We frequent the restaurant every week, and have been loyal customers for years. Their cuisine is superior to other Albuquerque "fine-dining" restaurants, and the staff is exceptional. Their professionalism goes a long way in providing an enjoyable experience for my family and I. I have lived in Chicago and other larger cities with amazing culinary options , so it was nice to find a high quality establishment that tries very hard to bring their customers the best possible dining experience.

Albuquerque is full of nice places they serve steak, however Savoys menu offers local flavors with expertly prepared items. I am especially found on the duck dishes, and the beautiful wine selection. The pastry chef is the best in town so be sure to save room for dessert. Savoy also offers a great bar and patio with a great menu and really good Happy Hour specials.

This was our first visit. Having a "kid-less" weekend (the first in months) my wife and I decided to try Savoy. Normally when I hear the phrase "wine bar" my mind instantly envisions snooty, "better than thou," middle aged people debating which designer will light up fashion week (or some other drool of the like) all the while sipping chardonnay commenting on the "lively notes of peach and pears and the buttery overtones." I was pleasantly suprised! Yes, Savoy has an atmosphere that could easily become the dreaded neuvo-rich nightmare in my dreams but the staff and owners have masterfully avoided the issue. Within minutes of being seated, Floyd, our waiter, was pouring water, discussing the nightly special, offering cocktail suggestions, and delivering sinew deliciously fresh bread (the garlic herb butter is awesome!). I had the prime rib, my wife ordered the lamb. The cuts of meat were great. The prime rib was perfectly medium rare with only a sliver of fat running through it. My wife's lamb was also cooked to perfection and the reduction used was amazing! Floyd, the waiter, was perfect! He didn't hover over our table and we never had to ask for anything, it was just there when we needed it. Further, his wine suggestion was a perfect match with the prime rib. We will definitely be going back.

First off let me say the food was "good" just good. When we first walked in there was this nasty nasty smell. Like backed up sewer. We mentioned it to the seater and to our waiter , noone seemed concerned. It smellef bad as we left. As least bleach the bathroom or light a candle. .. I ordered the special which was a salad with tempura fried mushrooms. It was "good". Although I did have to pick out a couple of blackend very wilted greens. My huddy had the chicken cordon blu sandwich. It was just a thick breaded chicken breast, ham, gryere cheese and a aloi spread. The bread was dense and with that thick breaded chicken breast, it was very hard to eat. We had to cut it up .. But again it was "good". I ordered ice tea with my meal., the waiter brougt a sugar bowl with loose brown and white pseudo cubes. I thought "oh how cute" until I saw the side if the little square dish. It was nasty. Covered with splatters of something brown. I just used a packet of equal and chuckled. I should also mention my chair was unraveling as well. We finished our meal and I dont think we will be going back there again. The savoy could be a great place to eat if they had a active manager or one who cared... It seems like an aging old place that needs a serious going over to be a wonderful place to eat.. sad . I can only give it 3 stars.

For all the buzz surrounding this place, I wasn't that impressed. We came on a Friday night, and we were seated in the dining room. There was a band on the patio, and I think that's where the real action was. The decor of the dining room was not impressive, and I kind of got the impression that this is New Mexico's vision of what a California wine country restaurant is. Having spent some time in wine country (Napa and Sonoma counties) I can tell you that Savoy is not really recreating the experience. At least not in the dining room where we sat. For what it's worth, our server was attentive, and my pork chop special was delicious. Perfectly cooked, and complimented nicely with bok choy. They also have a nice selection of wine, and a fully stocked bar that carries rye whiskey. I will probably come back here someday, and sit on the patio during happy hour. I'm not ready to write this place off just yet ...

I think they hold steady at four stars. My husband and I came for an early dinner on a Monday (still made a reservation, just in case) before going to see Jared Diamond speak. Aside from people in the lounge for happy hour, we were the only patrons in the place for a while. We had a great table and the service was fine. On our way to be seated, I noticed a sign for specials and briefly saw a prime rib special with a glass of wine for $20. Later, when the server read us the specials, that wasn't one of them and she told me that was a lounge special, but she asked her manager if I could get it and it was a go. Great deal. I got a dinner salad first and then the main course was probably an 8 oz cut of prime rib, not too much fat, smashed potatoes, and broccoli. Not a fancy meal, but plenty of food with leftovers and it was quite tasty. The glass of wine was a house chianti and wasn't bad at all. My husband had the petite filet mignon, also with smashed potatoes and some vegetable (I don't remember what). We decided to order dessert because we had time to kill, so we had an apple cobbler that came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was very good, too. As a special treat, I ordered my first brandy, an apple brandy that was promoted with the dessert. Excellent choice. I may have to start drinking brandy instead of wine. It appears that I may have gotten my special for only $15! The wine and the meal were listed separately, but then the wine was comped, so it seems like I really lucked out. I didn't check the bill very carefully, so I could be mistaken. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. I'll come back.

Our favorite restaurant in Albuquerque! Usually we go for dinner or appetizers and for the most amazing wine selection in town which is carefully hand selected by the owners. Today we stopped in for lunch and had the prime rib sandwich. It was delicious!!sliced thinly piled high and the flavors were amazing. It was so big I actually had to share with my husband! I love the friendly service which is always eager to make our experience special. Savoy boasts beautiful ambiance both indoors and outdoors on the patio.I highly recommend! Look forward to going back soon!!!

I went to Savoy for a business lunch, we had a party of seven and we were seated promptly; however, from that point on I was less than impressed with our service and our food. Myself and two others ordered the autumn squash soup; which for a dish that boasts coconut cream fraiche and ground nutmeg, it was incredibly bland. To make matters worse, all of us had bits of clear plastic wrappers in our soup. We informed the waiter and we were comped for the soup but it really speaks to the care put into their food preparation. Our waiter was nice and very willing to sell the restaurant to us but he probably should have spent more time taking our orders than giving us his happy hour pitch. 5 of our 7 orders came out wrong and requests for lemons, sugar, etc. were left unfulfilled. Would I go back? Maybe for dinner or for one of happy hour specials but not anytime soon.

We've dined here many times in the past, but not for several years because of a granddaughter who has only one restaurant that she likes. I recall every meal being quite good, particularly liking the salmon and seared tuna entrees. Last night I was going to order the seared tuna but was tempted by the antelope special. I compromised by ordering seared tuna as an appetizer. It was great as always. With regard to the antelope special, it was probably my fault for not asking more questions. I don't order red meat very often, and when I do I order something really decadent, like rack of lamb. The waiter had told me that the antelope was really low fat, and it was, but I was expecting something with gamier flavor, like venison (or thereafter--- see Finnegans Wake). The meat was cooked somewhat beyond the requested medium rare. I was actually more interested in the antelope sausage, which was, alas, rather dry. On a recent Master Chef Jr., one of the young chefs prepared kangaroo sausage. Gordon Ramsey told him that the preparation was too dry since kangaroo is low fat and needs something like pork butt to make it moister. Everybody knows Gordon Ramsey is always right. My vegetarian wife opines that the attraction of sausage is fat and spices. And she's always right. Each of the three desserts (apple tartine, queen bee (honey mousse ...), and caramel pot de creme) was very good. I particularly liked the pot de creme, with accompanying awesome pecan turtle. There is a good selection of twelve beers on draft, and it was good to revisit an old friend, Lagunitas Pale Ale. There is also a good selection of wine by the glass, and I thought that the Oregon pinot noir that my daughter ordered was quite yummy for a cheap pinot noir. Service was excellent.

Let me say that we've eaten dinner here multiple times with both good & bad experiences. However we are unlikely to be back after this last experience. Walked in on a Saturday evening about 8:45. People came & went, but we never were acknowledged by the hostess. After 10-15 minutes, we sat ourselves at the bar. The bartender was the worst tool. We just wanted dessert & drinks. Dessert came before drinks, no silverware. The bartender ignored us the entire time. There were only three parties at the bar (including us) but he was only interested in the drunk people at the end of the bar We had to beg to be rung out after leaving the credit card on the bar for 15 minutes. Seriously people - this was supposed to be upscale?

Nice happy hour specials, but I recommend sitting on the patio. We chose to sit in the bar and there was very little air conditioning. Our food was good, we ordered specials off of the happy hour menu. I got the white pizza for $4.00- and it was more than enough food.

I am a regular patron of this restaurant and always find the place clean, friendly and food is great . I am a fan of the bar menu and wine list. There is a two bars here that are great. They are both consistently full and on summer nights the outside lounge has live music as well. If you looking for a great non chain restaurant in Albuquerque that has fresh food and a great wine list this is your place!

This place is so overrated and I had high hopes for a California Wine Country type restaurant here in ABQ. Perhaps I should give it more than one shot but my first experience was so bad I am having a hard time justifying the cost vs. potential payoff. For the money, this place isn't worth it to have a full dinner. I guess if I were going to give it another shot I'd do the happy hour as the other reviewers suggested. My sister and I shared a cheese plate to start which had a smoked cheddar which completely overpowered the other two cheeses. For my main entree I had cedar planked salmon which was totally RAW in the middle. The whole thing was so mealy that I was immediately turned off and didn't bother sending it back. My sister had steak which she only ate a third of and decided it wasn't that great.

I came here last night with my work for a Christmas party and wasn't impressed at all. Appetizers were really good but everything just kinda ehhhh... I had the prime rib which was ok at best, shrimp salad was ehh, service was ehhh... and desert was ehh Good thing I wasn't paying or else I would of been pretty ticked off. This place is expensive and over hyped if your wanting a classy place with good food I would suggest Vernon's or possibly Vintage.

Had the most amazing time. The specials were great. Chef Myles Lucero truly knows how to stimulate every taste bud. The atmosphere of the place was stunning. The place has an open kitchen; and it's fun to watch the Chef command his cooks. The wine selection was spectacular. Our server was very knowledgable and the pairings with our meals were more than perfect.

The lamb shank was incredible, the meat simply fell off the bone! The couscous was blended with goat cheese - a delectable marriage along with fresh seasonal vegetables. Paired with the only full cab on the wine menu and you have a meal that is a full fledge, "taste bud jamboree!" Enjoy...

I had dinner here with some friends last night. I haven't been to Savoy in years, it just not in my neighborhood, so I typically go to Seasons. But, we were up in the Heights and Savoy was the pick for dinner. I had made a reservation, so we didn't have a long wait. It was pretty busy. We all had the Salmon, it was cooked to perfection on its own little cedar plank. I was able to substitute the risotto for more greens, and it was all very tasty. Of the four of us, there was not one plate that hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. The Rodney Strong Zin was very tasty too.

I have to admit I've never actually eaten a full meal here. We usually just go to the bar and have a drink and maybe an app. The other times I've been here it is for private events. The food that they do for these was really good. Some of it were special menus created just for that event, and they were very, very good. So I would recommend looking into it as a place for that type of event.

Within the past two years I have been to Savoy's three times. Each time I eat here I am disappointed. The wait staff if very attentive but I do not come to a restaurant for the wait staff, I come for the food. The menu has not changed much since the first time I ate here, so tonight I decided to try the special, the ono fish special and my lady had the steak special. The ono was overcooked and the fried/tempura roll that can with the dish was soggy. Clearly it was deep fried several hours earlier and warmed it in the microwave. The steak special was OK, nothing I would write about. This place LOVES sauces, every dish has a sauces and the ono special and the steak special each had a sauce. If you have quality meat and fish with proper seasoning you do not need sauces. The owner and executive chief need to find that spark agin and create a new exciting menu. Bottom line, don't wast your money here for dinner. It is very expensive and the food is not that good. The bar at Savoy is cool and they can make some cocktails. The appetizers menu is good as well. The bar is a great place to meet friends after work and have a drink, but move on else where for dinner.

Every time we try a competitive fine dining restaurant in Albuquerque... Los Poblanos, Vintage, Bien Shur at the end of our meal, while on our drive home we continually say, "Why didn't we go to Savoy?" We have been going there consistently now for 6 years and it has only let us down 1 time. 1 time is 6 years is pretty darn good. The menu changes and the meals are great. The wine menu is the size of my wife Instyle Magazine and the service staff is knowledgeable. To this day, I have let to find a better grey goose dirty martini.

This is one of the better restaurants in Albuquerque. Wish it was more central, but it is located in a nice area that is probably close to a lot of their customers. They did a nice job remodeling this place - it is actually quote large, and has space for meetings and events. I always recommend reservations as it seems to attract a lot of events and seating is sometimes scarce. The best part about Savoy is the bar and patio. The covered patio is a great place to sit and eat. There are heaters and outdoor fireplaces. There is sometimes a band out there as well. The bar is a nice and more casual atmosphere than the dining area, which is very nice. It is hard to find a bad meal here. Ironically, given how nice the place is, one of my favorites is the hamburger. One of the best I've had, and it goes well with one of the many red wines by the glass the offer. If I could give this 4.5 stars I would - the place can get pricey. It is a perfect place to go if you have an expense account and want to impress someone.

We ordered two dishes from the bar: two duck sausage wood fired pizza and one order of calamari. Though service was slow the pizza was an amazing and delicious combination of cheeses with a savory sausage and a sweet sausage, caramelized onions on a yeasty but crispy crust. The calamari was served on a bed of spicy tomato sauce; it was not notable. Savoy is half a bar and half a restaurant. We ate from the limited bar menu, specifically from the happy hour section; the food was nice and cheap. For two people a total of $15 and we are satisfied.

This restaurant was just fine, but it wasn't impressive. I probably wouldn't try it again if given the choice. My brother made a reservation on Open Table for 9 p.m., and when we arrived, we waited by an empty host station for several minutes, without acknowledgement from anyone. Our hostess was friendly when she arrived, and took us to a lovely table in a sparsely populated dining area (it was 9 p.m., but on a Friday). We perused the menus and ordered rather quickly. I liked that you could order half glasses of wine. I didn't, but I liked the option. :) (My brother ordered a half glass, then went for another half glass after his entree was delivered). We all tried different things on the menu. I had the soup that was on special, and it was very nice, and my brother started with oysters, and was given several varieties from which to choose; he said they were good. For dinner, I ordered the duck, and it was really very good, perfectly crispy skin and tender meat. Delicious. But my sister-in-law's pork tenderloin was a failure. She said it was far too overdone, and very dry so as to be completely unenjoyable. My brother said his entree was "fine" not great. We were disappointed as we had heard good things about this restaurant from Burquenos, and it wasn't really recommendable, we found.

Short of what I expect for a fine dining restaurant. Server Brent was apathetic, while the rest of the wait staff did a phenomenal job. The food has great potential, however execution was below expectations. Pasta was undercooked as well as the vegetables. I was not told of the specials of the day and I was never given a bread plate. Hostesses were also were a little bit scatterbrained.

Seems like a very popular place but it must be for the atmosphere. Service was outstanding but the food was mediocre at best. The prime rib lacked flavor and was a little on the tough side. The cut served to my wife was disgraceful. I would have sent it back but she decided against it. There are too many good restaurants in town so I wouldn't waste my time with this one.

I hadn't been to Savoy prior to a Yelp event this weekend, and I will definitely be going back! The atomosphere was really great and the food was wonderful. I am excited to try out the rest of the menu.

I've been to Savoy a couple of times for dinner and was very underwhelmed. For the prices that are charged for the meals($20-35) I was expecting something much more impressive. Both times I had dinner, the sauces for all of the dishes were similar even though the name and the descriptions were quite good. One dinner I ordered the elk special and one side was burnt and the other side was raw. Again, for the prices that you pay, it is completely unacceptable. The service was subpar for the prices that are charged. The happy hour at Savoy however is a completely different experience. The drinks are decent but the food is great for the price. I especially like the outdoor seating area and the bar area. In summary, I recommend the Savoy for a happy hour with friends but avoid it for dinner. Too much money for the quality of the food and service.

Yummy, but Expensive. Great Happy Hour! It's a really classy and a nice restaurant. HAPPY HOUR: Get there by 4:30-45 if you want a seat in the bar for HH. Happy Hour is only served in bar area, and it fills up QUICK!!! I had their red-lentil hummus appetizer and it was amazing. It only comes with 4 pieces of bread :( but they will refill the dipping bread if you need more. The salad that came with it was good too. DRINKS: Their Happy Hour Malbec was amazing, but it changes all the time and is $5. They also have one Cocktai lof the Day $5 and MArtini of the Day $5. I had their Peach Ice Tea Special (ice tea, simple syrup, and peach vodka) which was very refreshing! I also tried their Ginger Lemon drop which was to die for!! Skky Ginger Vodka, handmade lemonade, and simple syrup with a sugared rim. I def want to make these at home for my next dinner party!!! Ginger seems to be all the rage these days, but I'm certianly not complaining! Bring on the spicy cocktails! SERVICE: The staff is worked hard for Happy Hour, but calms down a bit for dinner. I sat at the bar once, and they were sooo attentive, remembered what I was drinking, and keeping me completely satisfied!

Wow! What a treat right here in Albuquerque with Savoy!! The owners have been very meticulous with their wine list and offer some nice and unexpected combinations for the palate. The wild mushroom ravioli was presented nicely but was a bit bland. I would have preferred some other added surprises for the tast buds. but all in all the atmosphere and wait staff were very nice.

Overall impression of our dining experience -- atmosphere was nice, service pretty good, food presentation good but inconsistent quality. Our entrees were good (I had a bone-in pork chop, she had the fillet Mignon) but the sides left me a little disappointed. A "nit-pick" -- table linen was covered (protected) by a sheet of paper, ala Macaroni Grill. I'm sure it saves a lot in laundry, but the edge kept catching my sleeve! We did not go into the bar, but it certainly looked and sounded like it was hopping. Definitely a different atmosphere compared to the dining room, so I'm checking off "hipster" as well as "classy" for ambiance.

When I moved here, people would tell me how good Savoy was, but they also would stress the expensive part dining there. Therefore, it took over a year for me to go and dine there. When I did, I caught a special that they run during the week from I think 4-6. I had a very delicious meal for a very cheap price, and the atmosphere was tre chic. I enjoyed their fries and their fish, my friend delighted in their burgers and stuffed mushrooms. All in all, a great experience for under $25. Also, they had awesome beer specials and I was able to try some yummy brew they had on tap for under $3. I hear this place also does a great brunch on Sunday, which I plan to try to attend soon. However, if you're on a budget, and feel like this place would be too pricy for your pockets, I suggest hitting it up during the work week for some $$ friendly deals.
What a disappointment after reading the reviews here. I thought this place would be good. I walked in and it smelled nice and it looks like a nice restaurant. The kind I'm used to when I want to go somewhere on the fancier end. The service was attentive at first, but I noticed that the waitstaff was all young, attractive females. I have no problem with this but it seemed apparent that the girls were being hired for being a. under 25, and b. for being cute. This made me a little curious because, in my experience, quality service requires some people with a little more experience. Well, two items we ordered were forgotten (looks like I was right about the service) and service became slower than molasses once our food was ordered. Food took forever and the place was only moderately busy. Drinks were slow. Pretty much slow overall. Food arrived and was really lackluster. It was edible, but for an ABQ entree to cost $30, it should be actually good, not okay. Four of us ate for $200 (remember that two salads were forgotten or the check would have been higher). Not worth it. I eat at nice restaurants fairly frequently and am not usually disappointed.

that i'd experience the main dining room during lunch this good friday on a whim after a workout at the gym was a perfect way to bisect this day off. i've been a regular at savoy's bar [contiguous and attached next door] for the last year. coming here mainly for its early [5-6] and late [9-10pm] happy hours for beer and burger and calamari and hummus. it's comfortable and casual and it saves us suburbans the drive to downtown ABQ. savoy's bar in effect had become my Mumbles [2nd ave and 16th street, NYC, is it still around?]-- that old standby in the east village resorted to when you want to grab a quick, benign and therefore reasonably priced meals. [the plan was originally to drive downtown to season's, its sister restaurant near the museum. then thought better, why? -- savoy's location is 5 minutes equidistant to home and gym.] but savoy's main dining room is NOT mumbles. at this hour there were 6 tables occupied in the main dining room, a couple more in a more cozy fire-placed room behind the bar. seated at the well lit main dining area, the open kitchen longitudinally parallels it so that one is aware of its activity and also if interested peer into it and see what is cooking [it reminds me of an updated roy yamaguchi's in ainahaina- or scottsdale or lower manhattan, sans the baseball caps] it is decorated with B+W photographs of grapes and vinyard displayed on its springy light green walls. and it would be unjustified to dismiss its food akin to mumbles. service is attentive; immediately, water is offered and two types of bread and herbed infused butter in a basket are whisked to your table. they had a couple of fish specials that sounded good [striped bass, salmon on a plank] but i and a friend stuck to the main menu: seared tuna carpaccio salad and [as i was pining something substantive] green chile meat loaf. both were perfect. i can see the former as a sufficient spring light lunch or dinner. the latter was perfect for the wintry weather outside: warm, meaty, and topped with crispy thin slices of onions that reminded me of the tall food that Portales used to serve at gotham bar and grill [12 east 12the street, NYC] a decade ago. if there is a critique, and a minor one, good food does not have to be earnest. [i'm thinking here about collichio's coke commercial] no matter when the occasion hits, as in this instance, i love food that stick to my ribs. and savoy delivers. and in a clean-designed and well appointed dining room at that.

I have to agree with Robert F. this definitely is in the top five if not the top 3 eateries in Albuquerque. We started off with 2 each of the 3 oyster selections. Wow!! These were as fresh tasting and delicious as any oyster from the famed NY Grand Central Oyster Bar. I only wish they had more varieties available. So with our great oyster appetizers down we were ready for our entrees. My Fiancee got the Goat Cheese Ravioli which, from my 1 bite taken, was creamy, rich, smokey and had all the qualities a great goat cheese should. The other stand out besides the ravioli was the marinated artichoke hearts. Salty goodness! Now, my entree was just as great. I got the Seared Ahi Tuna. When the plate arrived I was greeted with the sweet smell of heated cilantro from the shrimp spring roll that accompanies the tuna. The tuna itself was perfectly seared medium rare. Definitely will order this again! My only gripe was the bar didn't have a cocktail list. Sometimes I don't feel like having a vodka tonic and want to venture out and try something new. I imagine had we sat at the bar the bar keep would've given some ideas but I still do like to "see" what goes into the drink before I order. Overall I had a great meal and will definitely be back!

I went there for a staff dinner last night and it was just what we needed to wind down and reflect on our accomplishments for the semester. This place is great for small groups... (7 in our party). Its a high class joint that seems to be filled with pretentious assholes, entrepreneurs and the great romantics on dates. Lets just say this place is filled with old/new money.... it seems as if everyone is dressed to impress, as i was for the occasion, but didn't really feel comfortable; especially when my kinda place is a dive. Where is the money coming from, i need some!!! Its also filled with swanky furniture and has a very upscale atmosphere. Its nice if you're going on a date to impress and maybe get some at the end of the night.... :) The staff is ultra friendly which is great for a place like this and the food is really good. However, one of our orders was forgotten and that is a big no-no for me. They did bring the order out promptly, but its just not cool for such a nice place like this. I'd give this place another chance to check out their menu, i just gotta get a better job to afford it. :)

good food, sub-par environment, overworked waitstaff. they had many vegetarian options, the soups and salad special were really good, as was dessert. the wine flight we ordered was also nice, but not stunning. presentation and freshness of food was spot on, but i wasn't impressed with the specific flavors and spices. prices, for what we got, were pretty good, in fact, i'd say the prices could be a bit higher and include a nicer environment and more servers. our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, but was the only server on the floor for what seemed to be about 8 tables - some of them quite high maintenance. service was slow - we were well into our first course before our wine appeared, and had to ask multiple times for more water, bread, etc. all in all though, not the servers fault. the environment is what i thought was really lacking. no music was on in the large empty restraunt and we were seated directly in front of the open kitchen, which i normally enjoy. due to the kitchen placement, no music and the big high ceiling concrete feel of the place, i was uneasy all meal listening to the cook's chatter and the weird conversations of people passing by until i asked the waiter to turn some music on. there was also a weird lighting scheme going on with a big obnoxious neon light flashing in the bar next to us and no candles on the table. hardly a romantic or relaxing environment imo. probably a good place to go with stuffy inlaws you dont like much. if you want something really nice, check out lucia downtown, though it will cost you.

Probably in the top 5 restaurants in all of Albuquerque. Wonderful food, service and ambiance. It looks & feels as if you were at a fine Napa Valley restaurant (it's that good). Check out their website for the full menu. This is also a great place for a private party. A real gem.

Our second visit for lunch in the last 3 months. Our first visit was so disappointing it was hard to give the place another try, but try we did. Again to our disappointment, both times the food was adequate at best. The servers were ok. The receptionist made it clear we were lucky she was bothering to seat us on both of our visits. On our first visit, after listening to the one special, we ordered the duck sausage pizza and the Seared Chicken Scallopine. A little later we were amazed when at the next table a different server read off five specials! Two of which I would have taken over the duck pizza. That aside, the pizza was oddly shaped with large areas of crust covered with nothing. The duck sausage had no discernible taste. The chicken scallopine was way over cooked. The poor chicken as dry as our desert air. The dish was tasteless, the pasta had the texture of cardboard and the broccoli cooked to death. On our second visit our server was attentive and read off all the specials. We ordered the prime rib peppersteak sandwich and the organic greens salad. The shaved prime rib was tasty enough, what there was of it. The sandwich was over powered by the bread to meat ratio. I pushed all the meat to one end of the bread and ate that. The sauce was ok, but weak. The organic salad had old lettuce and was done. The vinaigrette was very tasty. We tried so hard with this place because we have been to the bar happy hour and very much enjoyed the appetizers, the atmosphere, the music and the people. Our future visits will be limited to the bar.

I was disappointed with this place. I got the crab cake appetizer, butternut squash soup, filet mignon entree and a creme brûlée for dessert. There was nothing special about anything I tried. The soup was completely bland. And the entree was completely over seasoned to the point of being in edible. The creme brûlée was ok. It's overpriced for what you get. Service was ok, but I expected much better considering the prices and look of the place.

(5)Janea M.

(2)Ashley E.
(4)Lacey B.

A lot of expectation came with eating at this revered fine dining restaurant. And the unfortunate part about high expectations, is the large margin for disappointment. Needless to say, I was incredibly underwhelmed with my first Savoy experience. Customer service is KEY to any successful meal in my book. We were seated quickly by our waitress but it took her ten minutes to come back to get our drink order and another fifteen for her to come back to get our food order. She was noticeably absent during our meal, although our waters were consistently refilled by the busboys who were surprisingly more attentive. That leaves the food. The starter bread was DELICIOUS. It was fluffy and fresh and came with a garlic butter spread that was unbelievable. Best part of the meal for all of us! I got a Caprese salad with chicken but the chicken was overcooked and dry. Others at the table got the sirloin steak and a shrimp ravioli dish. The general consensus at the table was that the flavors were lacking for almost $30 a pop entrées. In the end, the service and food did not match the restaurant's high-priced menu. Although, their bar strikes me as a nice place to have a few cocktails and appetizers.

(4)Rosie N.
(5)Kim I.
Nothing to really share, food was adequate, service was friendly. Probably wont go back any time soon.
(2)Sarah N.

(4)Stacy L.
(5)Mauri J.

(2)Amy B.
Nice happy hour specials, but I recommend sitting on the patio. We chose to sit in the bar and there was very little air conditioning. Our food was good, we ordered specials off of the happy hour menu. I got the white pizza for $4.00- and it was more than enough food.
(3)Kaitlin M.
(5)Tricia K.

(2)Richard T.
(5)Peter S.

(5)Kristen M.
(4)Jack D.

(4)Jean M.

This is my second time to Savoy. It didn't disappoint. Our waiter was delightful and the food presentation and taste are exceptional.

I have only been to the bar, however you can order food in the bar from the main restaurant. DELICIOUS! Really great drinks too. Nice patio with heaters. Great staff. Thumbs up!

Happy with the food, it is always awesome. I love the fall soup. I had the butternut squash last year, an this year was some other fall bisque. Always great.

Welcome to Cougar Town! At age 30 I must be 10-15 years younger than the typical divorcée-on-the-prowl types who crowd this place. Seriously, it's like Real Housewives of Albuquerque in here. I enjoyed dining on the patio. Waitstaff was very pleasant. The bar menu is fairly inexpensive, even after happy hour ends. Burger was decent. Calimari was very good One of the few places in town to have a decent cocktail.

Short and simple, the service is great, the atmosphere is modern and warm, the food is always very tasty. It's a very nice experience. Try the crème brûlée, it will not disappoint.

Good food, good wine, good service, good happy hour.

Food was delicious and the service was great. This is one restaurant I can go to and not worry about everything being to spicy HOT which happens a lot in NM

Great service, but... Ordered a Large filet, questioned the size of the steak. They said 7oz IS Large. Not in my book brother! And not for that price!

that i'd experience the main dining room during lunch this good friday on a whim after a workout at the gym was a perfect way to bisect this day off. i've been a regular at savoy's bar [contiguous and attached next door] for the last year. coming here mainly for its early [5-6] and late [9-10pm] happy hours for beer and burger and calamari and hummus. it's comfortable and casual and it saves us suburbans the drive to downtown ABQ. savoy's bar in effect had become my Mumbles [2nd ave and 16th street, NYC, is it still around?]-- that old standby in the east village resorted to when you want to grab a quick, benign and therefore reasonably priced meals.
