I haven't tried any of the wok dinners, but we tried the sushi and chicken lettuce wraps when we were there. The food was good. Of course with sushi it was the standard 8 pieces, but as I looked around at other customer's plates it looked like portion sizes were pretty big! When you go in you have to wait in line to order your food and then you can get a table. It was dinnertime on a weekend when we went and so it was a little hard to find seating. The sushi is new on the menu and for a faster food place they were pretty good. The lettuce wraps were enough for 2 people. If you're craving Asian food and want something faster this is a great choice!

Had the Gluten Free sweet and sour chicken.. Awesome! It's coated with potato starch so it's crunchy without the wheat! House made sauce had only 3 ingredients too. They really took the time to work with me to get it right for the other restrictions of my cooky diet as well. I will be back to try the gluten free general's chicken next time!

I like pei wei but this one is better than the rest! Intelligent management runs at full speed and it shows.

Let me start off by saying "this is nothing personal." I have always been a huge Asian food fan so I know the good from the bad. This place, not the specific location, but the chain as a whole does not have the best food. One of the main issues I have with it is that all the entries seem to be dry and pasty. I do appreciate that they offer brown rice for the health-focused customer but it really doesn't do much to offset the bad nutritional value of the entrees. Prices are fair and portion sizes are pretty good but overall if you are looking to eat some good Asian fast food I would recommend panda over this place any day. I do give this location props for always being clean and well kept. They have also never messed up my orders. However they always take a long time to get the food out whether you get take out or dine in.

Not a fan of this place. It had been a couple of years since Ive been here. Now i remember why it had been so long. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and thought it had a strange flavor. I should have went to Chows Asian Bristo.

Came in to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch and was very pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere! The mango sushi rolls were amazing! Will definitely be eating here again when in town.

I used to love Pei Wei... it was fast, had great portions, the food was really good and it was priced well. Unfortunately, for me, it's not that same place since they changed their menu. We visited today, ordered small meals, waited a while (the restaurant was about 30% full), there was a "mix up" on one of our orders so we had to wait a bit more before we could all eat and ended up paying for lunch what I'd usually pay for dinner. I'm not sure what prompted the change but I'm so disappointed in the new Pei Wei, I doubt I'll be back anytime soon.

Pei Wei is always consistant everytime and each time they offer great Asian Fusion cuisne! Some of my favorite items on the menu have to be the lettuce wraps, kung pao chicken, and dan dan noodles.

Not good. Ordered online and got a ready time of 8. Got there at 8 and waited 15 minutes to get told they were out of the sushi we ordered but wanted to know of we wanted what they had left. Really, here have the sushi we have left. Ordered the Pad Thai with steak and shrimp, would have better off stopping at Sams club and getting a frozen dinner, the steak reminded me of steakums and the shrimp was rubber and had zero taste which was better than the way everything else tasted but with all the grease it was hard to tell how anything tasted. It is wrong to call that dish Pad Thai, it should be Bad Thai. The fortune cookie was OK.

The management was confused with regard to tips for servers at the register. The couple across from me were never checked on with regard to the patio except for a lovely young lady that seemed on her toes. As a side note, always leave your umbrellas up and open when the weather is nice in Albuquerque.

I really like the food here but my reason for a 3 star rating is mostly on the quality of food. My husband and I had take out here about a month ago, order process went smooth, food came out just as we asked, and tasted delicious until I found rubber band in my meal, not just a regular rubberband but one you would find on braces. Then my hubby found some egg shells in his fried rice. I can see to mess up one dish but both dishes had something in it that shouldn't have been there. I did call management to report that they need to watch their food prep better and he did give me a full refund. That was good on their part but it still doesn't make my experience any better. I will probably go back to eat here since I love the food, but i'll have to inspect my food more closely next time.

I really like this place, this is the only place you can get fast Asian style dishes that are made to order, every other place you go the food is sitting in a pan kept warm; not here. Great Mongolian beef and caramel chicken.

I had the Mongolian beef , it's was more like jack links jerky with teriyaki sauce , not good. It's a hit and miss, sometimes it's good I guess today the meat wasn't fresh . ,

Because of the rude cashier today at 4 pm, we left the restaurant and will not return. They don't understand that customer service means a customer waiting at the take out counter is just as important as the in house order line. Ignored and rudely told to wait for her to take care of others who came in after us, we are taking our business elsewhere. Thought we'd give Pei Wei another chance after previous disappointment, but this convinced us not to return.

Unfortunately, this Pei Wei location has gone downhill. The entire restaurant looks worn, wooden chairs with peeling paint, sticky floors, dirty tables and chairs. White rice was hard, dry and lukewarm, meager portions of meat on "original size" meals and some of the pieces were gristle. Only 1 piece of a mushroom on the Mongolian beef meal. Unpleasant "dining" experience. We will not return.

Do you remember when we were young and we could make "suicides" with the soda fountain? Well Pei Wei has the 21st Century Soda Machine. It is a computer operated gizmo that will put the old fashioned soda fountain to shame. It offers a plethora of sodas and flavors and you can even make a "suicide" on crack! Ok....not crack...but on Coke Zero. Oh, I forgot to mention the food can be made special if you want a healthier version of your favorite asian plate. Oh annnnnd, the manager, Shane is so nice. He goes out of his way to make sure we are happy. Thanks Shane.

Not bad. Not the best, but not bad. Ordering can take a while, but it's mainly pretty fast to get your food. I have a friend who has celiac disease, so the gluten free menu is a huge plus when he is in the group. The gluten free menu is actually really good, as well. The Lo Mein bowl is good, but it is a little on the bland side. It's filling though and definitely edible. It is nice to have the option of picking which protein you want. I really like that option. I really like the wrapper they use for their rolls. Very tasty. The vegetarian ones are pretty good. I am a fan of the crab wontons as well. The filling is tasty. If you want lettuce wraps, get the Thai one. It has way more flavor than the traditional one they offer. I have never had their sushi before, but a friend of mine does say it's not bad. Maybe I will try that on my next visit. It's not a bad place for a fairly quick bite. 3 stars seems fair.

Great food! The manager is top notch. Customer service is outstanding. Lots of food for a very reasonable price. The coconut curry is my favorite, but I've never had a bad dish! Manager says they are adding sushi next week.

Thai Dynamite with tofu and vegetables, not so good. I am fussy about my asian food but I've had better at Panda Express.

I am currently obsessed with the Thai Chile Lime Salad with Tofu. It's a work of art. Tastes the same (fabulous) everytime. Great place to meet up for lunch on the Westside.

Employees are friendly and helpful, the food is consistently great! Tried the new steak lettuce wraps with a BOGO coupon I got from liking them on Facebook. Yum! I will be back for the lettuce wraps alone - although I love the sesame chicken and the pad thai!

Well, this was my third time here in a year and a 1/2. Always good smells when I am next door, so I go in again and I tell the gal this is my third time and I haven't really found my dish yet. I ordered Caramelized Chicken, no cilantro. It was OK over all, a bit salty and had cilantro in it! (I really do not like this spice) and I picked it out. The rice was under cooked and crunchy. I mentioned this to the person who took my ticket mind you there is no table service here although they have a full kitchen with 5 cooks at my visit, and they are not accommodating. I took leftovers home and gave them to my son the next day who said it was disgusting (he doesn't like cilantro either). Three strikes YR OUT!

Good food, reasonable prices and good service. I usually get the Pei Wei Spicy Beef on brown rice but sometimes go for the Sweet & Sour Chicken on white rice. I've also had their noodle bowls and they were very good, too. They have very good Mandarin Orange iced tea so it's worth a try.

I always enjoy their food, their service is good, and I really like the atmosphere. The food is always fresh and is reasonably healthy considering it's Asian take-out.

Sadly some of the better Asian food in ABQ comes from a chain! Tasty eats in a rush.

Not bad for semi-fast food asian stuff. And when they made a mistake last time we were there, they made right by giving us gift cards for next time.

This place is fast and yummy! It's like an exposion for your taste buds. I was really suprised at how fast they were...you'll probably wait 10 minutes on your food..tops.

Service was okay and food was meh. Pei Wei is like a upscale Panda Express. The only thing I really liked about this place is the kung pao chicken. Don't come here expecting great food.

The wonton soup was soooo good! The Thai basil with shrimp was awesome, very tasty; but the rice was a little under cooked for my taste.

Quick service and great recipes make this a favorite stop. It's also a good place for kids. We like the Kung Pao and the Mongolian Beef. Even the Iced Tea is extra tasty.

Good food but overpriced for average Asian food, especially when you have to order the food and then sit down. (By the way: GREAT napkins!). I'm sure the fiscally sound idea is to order one dish and split it with perhaps a side order of my favorite, crab wontons. This particular location is too noisy for dinner on the weekends. Too many kids running loose. (Please, parents, take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and let the grown-ups enjoy a meal without a side serving of noise. I promise I will stay out of Chuck E. Cheese.) And please, keep in mind that this is not a commentary on Pei Wei, per se, but rather the clientele. On a smaller totally irrelevant note: While I was at this location, there was an APD officer with his wife and child (one of the ones that was yelling at the top of their infant lungs!). I noticed that within 5 minutes he had to get up no less than three times to go to the condiment bar. I don't know if I am more worried about him being a possible braggart with a weapon or the fact that he forgot three things within five minutes. Or maybe I am completely wrong on both accounts. If that's the case, I ask forgiveness. We visited on a Sunday around 5:50 pm. My overall verdict: No way for Pei Wei on Sunday!

Quick 'n easy Asian food, down the hill from work. They're never gonna wow your palate, but they are good enough and the service definitely is fast. They make a good fast lunch--better than your average fast food, but not quite a nice date place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
