Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This takes me back home. Nachos are made with the bag of chip of your choice. With whole beans, white corn, nacho cheese and jalapenos. Love them but... Can't eat them too much. Paletas are delicious I love the magonadas which are mango popsicles. They are made in a plastic cup and drenched in chamoy (which is a spicy, sour kind of hot sauce) My gringo partner enjoys the pecan popsicles. Try the gansito ice cream!

Definitely reminds me of old times back in Mexico. Many flavors to choose from. Love the guayaba paleta. Fresas con crema are a must have!!!

Everything from the huge colorful menu board to the individually wrapped frozen fruit bars & ice creams aka: paletas caught my eye. There was a variety of sweet and savory snacks including homemade chips and corn dogs. Lots of variety on both the menu & in their freezer section including fresh: Agua Frescas. I enjoyed the Strawberries & Cream topped with granola. So delicious! Tres Leches paletas were good as well. I took a star away because it's a cash only It's a place you should definitely try an a crisp warm fall evening.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Great ice cream, fruit bars and fruit drinks!!! Language barrier may be an issue, but the staff is ok with pointing and nods :-) Walnut ice cream is CRAZY good, and some of the best orchata in town!!

We just started with dessert today, but we'll be back for snacks soon - maybe nachos or a frito pie! At present, this is a cash only place. Amazing selection of ice cream popsicles and fresh ice cream and chilled drinks. I'm not fluent in Spanish but I managed. We tried the cherry and also the pistachio popsicles. Yum!

I love their Fresas con Crema, the natural ones not frozen. As for the paletas ( Popsicles) I've come across some flavors I didn't like for example the cucumber with chile was too sweet. Regardless of that the Aguas frescas and ice cream are also delicious. There's definitely more desserts to try so I will continue to visit this place plus it brings back the home feelings
