Went to this location tonight around 430pm. I had a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and my husband had ribs with fries. His ribs were fall of the bone tender and the fries were perfectly crispy. My steak was perfectly cooked and my potatoes had the perfect amount of butter. For an appetizer we had the stuffed mushrooms which were exquisite! Our server was stellar and knew what I meant when I request the steak black and bleu. Our glasses were never empty and despite the people next to us complaining about very stupid nonexistent problems (and very loudly) we had a great time! For all those haters complaining about service and quality during peak dinner hours, try going a little earlier. Large restaurants will always have issues with quality when there are that many people around. I went to this one the first time tonight. I have been to longhorns before in other states and always get the best food and service when I go at the very start of dinner hour. The thing I love about longhorn is the grill masters are willing to do a black and bleu steak (something that most restaurants will not do because of health reasons). What is black and bleu? It's a steak that has been seared on the outside but still raw in the center and then topped with bleu cheese crumbles. The only complaint I had with the steak was that there was no bleu cheese crumbles but it was still a delicious steak. I want to give a huge thanks and a bow to the grill master who did my steak because black and bleu is difficult to master and I usually do not order it like that at a non steakhouse ever. And this was done perfectly! Well done Longhorn!

We visited your Longhorn Steakhouse this afternoon with my family for the first time, the environment was beautiful and the staff was friendly and really made us all feel at home. I decided to try the Rib eye steak having heard from some co-workers that it was real good. I requested my steak medium rare and my problem began once they brought me the steak it was well done no pink center but gray and hard, so I asked the server and she gladly took it back. At this point I was still happy with the experience and was looking forward to trying the steak again however my feelings changed when the cook brought out a raw steak and asked me to cut in to it. I sighed and decided to just eat it and forget about the situation but clearly he was trying to make a point by bringing it that raw and it was so purple that my wife wouldn't even try it. I tasted the steak and not only was it raw but it was bland it had zero seasoning so I sent it back. Eventually the manager came and said he would take care of the bill for the steak entree I agreed since I didn't eat any of it however he offered me a 10.00 gift card for the problem I had with my 16.99 steak. This is not how I expected a brand of this caliber to take care of the issue 10 off a 16.99 steak at that point it was a slap in the face and just made the situation worse. He acted like he was doing me a favor by not charging me the steak in the first place the steak I returned back twice I definitely NOT recommend this place at all.

This place would get a zero review if possible. I sat it bar area and the bartender sucked waited 15 min to order and still no order so I went and sat in restaurant and server was pretty good but food sucked gave this place 8 tries and never again, the are better choices then this loser chain, food was not hot 1 time I went there

We arrived at about 5:30 and asked about the wait- it was at 30 min so we decided to go to the bar. It took 10min to get drinks (water and soda) and then took 15 min to get a menu and then we left 10 min after that as the bar tender didn't care to be useful - we were not the only ones in a bad place- I would stay away-many other reasons that come to the same conclusion -

SO DISSAPPOINTED!! We have been to several Longhorn locations around the country and loved the place. We were so excited to see a location opening here. We have been a few times now to give them the chance of redeeming themselves, at first we thought they just need to get things worked out after just opening, but come on now. This last time I had saved a birthday card to be used as a special treat. We were seated approx. 8:30 (open til 10:00) after we ordered they acted like we weren't even there, the whole after closing cleaning started, we were seated in a center booth, around us they started spraying down tables, carpet rollers, pushed the whole line of tables in center floor over in front of the booths across from us, pulled out the corner table to floor, I got up to use the restroom and the door was blocked with the cleaning bucket and she was on the whole spray down. Finally I said aren't you open until 10:00 she said yes they make us start so early. When we look forward to an evening of a nice meal, quiet, and relaxation, I don't expect to watch, hear, smell what should be done after closing, when the staff is so focused on getting out of there, the customers are neglected, our waiter was so distracted. I waited for a tea refill that I finally got in a to go cup. I had to send back my Mac and Cheese which was runny to be reheated. The food overall was not impressive and hard to enjoy with everything around us going on. Our receipt shows we paid and left by 9:19 so we were not holding anyone up but felt as though we were.We asked to speak with the manager on duty on our way out, when they retrieved her from the back, she said all that should not be going on. Where was she the whole time? Clearly the girl had told me the management makes them start early, so which is it? I asked if she was the head manager, she said I could call and talk with Raul Holguin, the next day I called and spoke with Chelsy said he was in a meeting and would call back, I never heard from him. In Orlando we were impressed at how the manager would take charge and jump in to help his staff with all types of needs, nothing was below him. You could see the working relationship between him and his staff, all in efforts of guest satisfaction. This location lacks customer service, good training and quality management. The food on other visit was not prepared wel,l the chicken alvacado sandwhich came out with dry chicken, a faint smear of alvacado and green tomatoes. We really wanted to like this place.

After trying to come here two time with an hour wait I decided to come for lunch with my mommy. It was good. I had the ribeye and she had the prime rib sandwich with soup. The steak was a little tougher than I'm used too but not to the point where I couldn't eat it. My mom said hers was delicious. We both agree though we wouldn't wait 45 minutes ever for it. Then again there is little food we would wait 45 minutes for if we aren't cooking it.

Well, we gave it two tries, both at lunch. You'd think a steakhouse would have good steak, but they don't. It was flavorless. The salads were slapped together by someone who clearly hates his/her job. If we're going to spend over $70 for lunch for two, we can do better somewhere else.

I went into this place with an open mind, and was not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a good selection. I started off with a Caesar salad, which was crisp and appetizing. But the steak really stole the show. It was prepared medium as requested, and it was seasoned excellently. Mashed potatoes were the perfect compliment. I had taken my dad to eat here for dinner, and we will certainly be coming back.

Our food was great. The server was amazing when we finally got sat. There host need a lot of help. 3 of them standing around along with a manager. They even skipped us and tried to cover it up. I brought it to there attention.

LongHorn is right next to my apartment complex so naturally, I had to walk over and try it. I went around 12o'clock for lunch. The place was not busy at all, we were seated right away. We started off with jalapeño poppers, which only comes 3 in an order (?!?). They were good. Not great, but good. The sauce tasted more like tarter than avocado-lime ranch, which I believe was advertised. I then ordered a salmon salad. The salmon was cooked to perfection: flavorful and not in the least bit dry. The salad was huge, I could not even finish half. My friend's burger was delicious, flavorful, and also cooked to perfection. The waitress was great! I really liked her. Great sense of humor and fun to talk to. With 2 orders of jalapeño poppers, a burger with fries, and a salmon salad, a $35 tab isn't too shabby! I will be coming to this restaurant often.

Came in and was seated in seconds, greeted with a smile. Tonight is our date night had two stakes salads and dessert for 30.00. She had a black and blue from the bar and was as good as it looked. Our wait staff were great all the time we were here. We sat next to the kitchen and bar and was very well taken care of. The bar tender with the goatee and tats on is neck was hilarious made our visit fun and wanting to come back THANKS TO ALL THE FUN STAFF

In the long line of chain restaurants this city has Longhorn should do just fine taking part of the stake (no pun intended). I've been a handful of times now and I have to say that I've never been disappointed by the flavor or service. Funny thing is we have been sat in the same booth every time. Coincidence I'm sure but still funny to me. Their steak salad is filling and you'll definitely have plenty leftover. They have their own version of the moscow mule with the Montana mule. I definitely recommend it. I haven't enjoyed a tasty beverage at the bar but I intend to. It just looks cool. My honey has enjoyed a different cut of steak each visit and each time it came out just as he ordered, medium-rare. Which you would think should not be a problem for a steakhouse but crazy things happen sometimes.

Two of my girlfriends and I had a birthday lunch there and found the food to be excellent along with the service and drinks!! They let us bring in birthday cupcakes and although we got a little rambunctious, they said they were sad to see us go! It was a lovely afternoon!

I recommend you go to Texas Roadhouse. We went here when they first opened and they were Ok with customer service and the food was Ok not great. The second time we went it was just awful. Our waitress didn't put in my mom's order so she never got her pasta. When we asked for it they didn't apologize they just said there was a mix up but it was coming out. Finally when the rest of us had almost finished our food they bring her pasta out and it's cold! Again no apology so my mom said to just take it back. Finally we had to ask for a manager and we got a discount on our meal. We will never eat at this chain again. There are way better steaks at other places and they train their people better im sure.

I wanted to like this place soooo bad. The decor is nice the server was friendly, and they are prepared for kids (teddy grahams and crayons when seated). The food was awful. The salads were drenched, the lettuce swimming in dressing. The steaks were supposed to be medium and medium-well and came out medium and medium-rare and had zero flavor. The sauce on the shrimp was super salty. And the fries that came with the kids meal were so seasoned and salty they offended my taste buds, not sure how any child would ever be able to eat them.

Our Thursday Ladies went across the Rio Grande for steaks last week. It was well worth the trip. The steaks were great. The baked potatoes huge, and the salads very good. I had prime rib and loved it. Oh, and the Happy Hour Margaritas? Yumny. They have now opened at Coronado Mall so the trip won't be necessary now. Yay!

Sadly I am downgrading my 4 star review to 2 stars. We had our 3rd experience at this restaurant last night and had it been our 1st we would never return. After talking this place up to a friend we decided to take her there last night. We always sit at the bar and right off the bat my friend was told by the bartender that she only had Miller Light in bottles. After a couple of sips my friend noticed it on tap. I asked the bartender and she said oh my bad we do have it on tap....but she accepted the bottle and drank it so I can't take it back. I said no problem but she will be getting the happy hour draft price, right? Bartender says no because she accepted it in a bottle and drank out of it. Shocked...because my friend was told that's all they had. ..of course she drank it. Our food took an hour to come out and we only had one set of silverware. I asked for more. ..bartender forgot. ...when she came back over I said they can't eat...she replied sassy, "I heard you!" Omg....my Puerto Rican almost came out but since we we're having a pretty bad day with medical news...I refrained. The bartender, I think her name may have been Vanessa, had her manager come out after she overheard my friend say she had the wrong salad dressing on her salad. The manager asked if she could make her another salad. My friend replied that we had already waited an hour and she wasn't getting a good 1st impression here. The manager comped her meal and I just didn't have the energy to tell the manager about her extra sassy bartender. I really didn't want to tip her but my husband made me. Btw...we were told by "Sassy" that her back up bartender was supposed to be there at 6 but called in. We were actually told about the employee call in by several employees there. Tacky and we aren't sure we will be back. Too bad.

On a working trip was looking for a good local steakhouse. Drove by thought I'd check it out. Food not bad. Filet tender & cooked perfect med/rare. Service fair, the salad came out with the steak, I came in at 9pm and I'm sure the staff was ready to call it a night. My waitress was very friendly though and apologized about everything coming out together. Great value/price for the food. I'd probably come back here when visiting Albuquerque.

Love the food! The Wild West shrimp are fantastic! I'm not entirely sure about the service... we however, are 0/1 on our first visit. Had to ask for our check multiple times. I shouldn't have to send out a search party for my server every time I need a refill. This may not be the case for other servers, but our first one was bad and it was early afternoon lunch on a weekday. I'd be weary about a weekend or evening visit. Get the shrimp! :)

It's ok... Not bad, not good - just ok... Had lobster and scallop dish. Friend had tilapia. Not great... I'll give it another try and have a steak. Service was good. Bar is nice. Raspberry peach tart was good.

Enjoyed the lobster chops off their "Chef's Selection" menu - desserts great...food- no complaints. The bar was a bit limited around martini selections. The big rub for me was the hostess at the door. She ignored us while chatting it up with a coworker until he walked away. I had to call out to her to get her attention. Unapologetic, she tells me the wait time for table seating is 15-20 minutes. I see clean empty tables and wonder why there is a wait at all. We headed for the bar and settled in at a high top...which should have been suggested by the hostess because there was a wait - Hello! Service was slow at first and picked after about 15 minutes. I counted five clean, empty tables from our vantage point in the bar area. Boo - don't make me wait because you're not running the restaurant like it should be operated. For a new Albuquerque restaurant (and a national chain to boot) - this is a poor start for Longhorn Steakhouse. The Westside desperately needs some decent sit down restaurants. Longhorn needs to train their staff before I can become a regular patron. Get it together there, cow pokes!

We have been twice now and both times we have enjoyed it! We came tonight and it was awesome! We got our food hot and in a timely fashion and the drinks were awesome. Our server was really nice and the manager was very friendly. We even stayed a little later than expected ( about 10 min before they closed ) and everyone was still super friendly and polite! Not sure why you have such bad reviews from others but y'all get 5 stars from us!

Our first visit to this location of Longhorn will be our last. Our last venture into a Longhorn was over two years ago in Jacksonville, and it was an experience best forgotten. So, I had high hopes for this location. I was disappointed. First, we arrived right at 5:00 p.m. and encountered a line to get into the place. Like our bank, technology with a computer has showed things down considerably for getting on the wait list. The poor receptionist had to type our name into a computer, then input the number on our pager. She could have done it on paper in half the time, but.....when you have a computer, you have to justify its existence. The manager was apparently training someone on the other computer adjacent, on top of the same carousel where the menus and silverware are kept, so there was a traffic jam. As we found out later, the employees who seat the parties are also the bus persons and if the place is busy with incoming guests, the tables don't get bussed. We were initially told that our wait would be 15-20 minutes; we were seated before ten minutes were up....and had to negotiate the traffic jam at the reception desk to get to our table. We had to wait several minutes for our server, and we placed drink orders. I do not...and I will never...understand why it takes nearly 10 minutes to get a glass of wine--if the servers have to have alcohol-server training, why can't they pour their own wine???? We placed orders with a few little twists thrown in, most of which were ignored! The salads were very good and just the right amount; but the raspberry vinagrette dressing is overly vinegary---they could cut it back by a third and still have a great dressing. My spouse's steak, one of the house sirloins, was done to perfection; my ribs were great--just a tad not-as-good as Texas Roadhouse, but still very good. The problems came with the peripherals: 1. The wheat bread came out just out of the oven, but it was not sliced all the way through, so it was a chore to get it torn apart so we could eat it. When did it become the standard to serve bread unsliced or not sliced all the way. All the restaurants seem to be going to the "slice your own bread" format, except those that serve individual rolls. 2. I ordered my baked sweet potato WITHOUT the cinnamon sugar; it came with the cinnamon sugar on it and I had to send it back. 3. My spouse ordered his baked potato with butter on and sour cream on the side; it arrived with both items piled on the potato. He sent it back. 4. The salads come with just the dressing that is on them; it might be nice if the dressing was served on the side. 5. We had to ask for lemon for our tea. 6. No one EVER came to our table to ask if we wanted refills on our tea---never. 7. Our second order of bread was almost cold, and the butter was even colder---butter with bread should NEVER be kept in the refrigerator during serving hours. Trying to spread cold butter on bread only serves to tear up the bread. This place is noisy!!!!! It is wide open and obviously not very accoustically designed. I much prefer the quiet ambience of Stuart Anderson's Black Angus. The manager walked by our table about six times, and stopped at every table around us to ask about the food, etc. He never stopped at our table. But I saw him one aisle over berating a server in front of a table of guests and, I think, pulled him off the floor. Maybe in six months or so this place will get its act together and the service staff will be in the groove. Until then, I'll satisfy my ribs craving at Texas Roadhouse and we'll stick with Lone Star Steakhouse.

I'm not much for chain restaurants, but we were given some gift cards for this place and went this week. It was great! One person in our party had the filet, the rest of us had the bone-in rib eye steak and they were all divine. My only complaint would be that the bone-in rib eye was 18 oz, which is much too large and we couldn't finish them. They have a smaller cut but boneless is always less flavorful. As in any steakhouse, I'd suggest ordering your steak a little more done than you normally like. They tend to cook them below the temperature you order in case they need to cook them more. This happened to me, I like my steak cooked medium rare and it came out purple...I know better. they took it back and cooked it ever so slightly to the perfect temp without ov which can happen when you send something back. The salad that comes with it was large and really fresh, just what we needed after the holidays. The service was also really good, even though the place was really busy, a 50 minute wait on a Monday! The reason they aren't getting 5 stars are steak temps, portion size, but also the waiting game. There was a 50 minute wait and there were 7 tables empty, clean, and set. The manager said he didn't want to overextend the waiters. To all restaurant managers: as customers we'd rather sit at our table with nothing for a few minutes than stand in a lobby for 50 minutes.

Second visit was about six weeks after the first; My steak was excellent but my wife's steak was overcooked. Whole wheat bread was good. Ordered a Cesar's salad but received a "ToGo Mixed Gr Salad". Salad was nearly dry and had to request more dressing. They were out of the wine I requested, the Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon. The place was nearly full and the wait for the bread, wine and meal was rather long but this will be self correcting if they fail to establish consistent quality.

This place was mediocre. The bread, appetizer (asparagus), and my mom's plate ( pork tenderloin) were all good. My dad's steak was overcooking, the risotto cold, and Mac and cheese was gummy. My stuffed fillet was overlooked. Stuffed actually meant smothered here and a sauce that was not mentioned in the menu was poured all over. You could tell my plate had sat under a heat lamp for a long period of time. The mash potatoes had that dried film about them. Our waitress was good. Overall not worth the price.

We sat at the bar for lunch. Bartender memorized our names when he carded us and made us feel like friends the whole time. Wild west shrimp was excellent. Burger was cooked exactly as I requested. Too bland for my wife but I like the flavor of meat. Marble red on tap is always a good choice. The avocado chicken sandwich was really good but only had Chile sauce on half, which was really just a red ranch. We agree we will come back and try something else.

I've been here twice now and I really cannot go above three stars. The first time I came with my 2year old, who just had a birthday the day before. Food was good and service was good. The only bad thing was when they brought my daughter her ice cream, they served it in a thick martini glass. Really? For a toddler? It ended up in pieces on the floor. I was still fine with the place, though. We went again last night and I was happy I went 45 minutes early to reserve a table. I don't think they researched well when they built this place. It's tiny inside. We like steak in ABQ. I'm sure we were close to breaking the fire code. Anyhow, the last 15 minutes before we were expected to be called, we sat at the bar and grabbed a drink. We witnessed a couple get their meal and wonder where their salads were and then we saw the same order brought out to another couple. Twice. This made me worried because I knew they were new and busy. I ordered our daughter's food immediately so it could come out first. Her cheeseburger was blackened, crispy, and resembled charcoal--oh, and came out 25 minutes after I ordered. But that wasn't the worst. We both ordered the ribeye and grilled corn and when our ribeyes came out they weren't grilled, but pan seared. Why would any steak house do that? We called the manager over and he told us they only grill the meat with bone in, the others get the flat grill (like a George Foreman but flat)! What the hizzy?!! We looked around and not one other table had theirs like that. Worst excuse by a manager. Ever! We sent them back and when they came back they were delicious (our corn wasn't grilled, either, but it was still good--and looking at the other table, we noticed theirs was grilled, as well). The pan seared steaks trumped the two times I asked for ranch dressing and the three times I asked for ketchup for my daughter's charcoal burger and, then, cold fries. I understand it is new, but the kitchen and staff do need retraining. The steaks and salad really are delicious, just please don't ever serve your customers steaks that are not grilled again. I believe it's a disgrace to the Longhorn Steakhouse name.

I was so disappointed. The food was served cold. Our server was not very friendly and was short with my guest who is older and hard of hearing. At this point I feel it was a wast of calories and money.

Shop and Staff The inside of the restaurant was very clean, and well designed. It has a very western feeling I think every steakhouse would have in Texas. The walls, the tables, and the chairs were very clean. Our server named Erica was very knowledgeable. My mother is a very picky eater not by choice, and Erica was very patient, understanding, and made sure she got my mothers order correct. Food and Experience The food came out in a very timely matter. I almost got worried that it came out too fast. For a steakhouse I was expecting a little bit longer of a wait. My dad got the 6 ounce sirloin cooked medium, and I got the 8 ounce sirloin cooked medium rare. My father had no complaints with how his steak was cooked, and neither did I. My mother's food came out just the way she wanted it. One thing that I found to be unsanitary was with my salad I ordered the balsamic, and oil. Both bottles had some kind of sticky food like residue all over them. Erica made one other small error. I was drinking sweet tea, and I asked for a refill, so mistakenly Erica gave me unsweetened tea. I did not bring it to her attention, however I did make sure to ask for sweet tea on the next refill.

Just dont. Steak is better at Texas Radhouse. Waitress swears bread is upon request while second waitress states it comes out with drinks. I stupidly ordered muscles and of course no one knows how to open them. They were broken in pieces everywhere and most of them grainy. Meh .

Nothing bad about this place, but nothing great either. Like many restaurants in the Cottonwood Mall area, this one's a chain. Probably wouldn't have come here if it weren't for the gift card I had. I would relate the experience here nearly identical to that of an Outback Steakhouse. Food is the same, but the service was better. I had the baby back ribs, which were ok...(i.e., mediocre). Side salad made with iceberg, and steamed veggies could've come out of a bag. My favorite thing about eating here was the drink. Their signature dirty vodka martini was delicious and served with blue cheese stuffed olives. Highly recommend that! If you're in the area, this place is just fine, but don't expect anything spectacular. My overall assessment when people ask will be, "meh" gestured with a shoulder shrug.

I ordered to-go on Father's Day, as my husband was down with a cold. I called at 7:25pm and tried to place my order. The kid on the phone informed me they did not offer shrimp and crab dip and only after I insisted it was on the online menu, he checked the menu and agreed that it was on there. I ordered the renegade sirloin and the prime rib, both with salads. He told me he would put the order in and was about to hang up when I asked how long it would take. He sighed and said "I dunno, like 25-35 minutes?" I got there at 8:00 and was directed to the bar. I stood there 5 minutes before the bar tender asked what I needed. I said I had a to go order. He said he would get someone to help me. Another 5 minutes goes by and a lady comes out and asks my name and then goes to get the food. She brings the steaks out and says my total is $30-something dollars. I looked confused and said "it should be more than that" she said "not for a steak and a prime rib" I told her we had the shrimp and lobster dip as well. She said "well that's not on the ticket !" I said I ordered it and it was read back to me by the guy taking to go orders. She said it would be a minute. 10 minutes later she came back and asked if I wanted free bread. I said "sure" and she gave me a loaf. I looked in the bag and there were no salads....I said there were salads and she said again "you didn't order them!" Then she looked at the ticket and sure enough! There they were. Another 5 minutes waiting for salads. I got them and left. We arrived home and the meat was cold, like it was cooked at the time I ordered it and then sat for an hour. The salads were good. The prime rib had no horseradish even though I specifically requested it. It was alright. The bread was stale and not cut all the way through. When all was said and done I stood in there 30 minutes beyond what I was quoted, spent close to $50 and was completely disappointed. I will never go there again. Terrible service and terrible food!

If it weren't for poor training and response time of employees, I would give this place a 3.5. This place is supposed to have awesome food and I agree, but I feel that the staff needs more training. We sat at a table at the bar and waited for it to be cleaned, someone came by right away to bus it, and said someone would come by to wipe it down. 8 minutes later a hostess notices we've been waiting, and gets on the radio. All of a sudden 3 show up and wipe the table down, but instead of properly clean it they just rub the spilled butter deeper into the table. The hostess that made the original call on the radio noticed and then properly cleaned it. Then the bartender came by to take our drink order; very nice lady. I ordered a beer my wife ordered a gin martini, and she asked if she wanted it neat or on the rocks; SMH, who orders a martini on the rocks? Then she bring my wife the martini in a shaker, and shakes the hell out of it and serves it. A real properly trained bartender knows that you should never shake a gin martini, it should only be stirred, unless it's made with vodka. Well here we are waiting for our food, I know we won't be disappointed, but I could tell you right now that the training of employees here is not where it should be. 3.5 stars for the food I'm sure, but 2 for service, because the hostess did do a decent job otherwise it would be a 1. 30 minutes later; like I said, food is great. Had the prime rib sandwich with chopped salad, very tasty, and comes with a well composed horseradish sauce on the side. I will come back soon and hopefully be able to change my rating.

Ribeye was nicely cooked, and juicy. Brie Salad was good, but I wanted the wedge salad which I was informed that they no longer served. Service was slow and forgetful, and key lime dessert were meh.

Yuck. Me and my girl came here on a Thursday night. It wasn't packed so we expected to get decent service. Our server was swamped with just 2 tables! ! I ordered a sirloin medium rare with a Cesar salad. First the steak came out cooked well done and no salad was ever brought to us. When they corrected my order it came out more medium with a bad taste. It may have just been an off night but it was bad enough that I will never go back.

Well I had high hopes for this place and I purposely didn't read any reviews, even though I noticed they weren't good. I really wished I'd read the reviews. First off, my wife and I get there and we were told it would be a 35-40 minute wait. I thought "ok sure, I really want to try this place"! Well our wait time ended up being more like 50-55 minutes. Again, I wanted to try it so I brushed it off. On a side note, a patron complained about people just sitting themselves in the "bar area" because the bar was open sitting? It was a valid complaint because the "BAR" was open sitting not the "TABLES" in the bar area. AND after waiting for more then 50 minutes it's frustrating when people just check in and wait at the bar and once someone leaves the tables they sit themselves. By the way, the hostess did nothing and said there was nothing she could do and brushed it off. My wife and I finally got seated and the food on the menu looked good and I thought we were in for a treat! Nope! We started with sweet corn fritter- best thing we ate. I ordered the half rack of ribs and my wife ordered chicken tenders. If you're wondering why I ordered ribs at a steak house? Well I never order steaks at a new steak house because that's something I like to save for the second visit. The ribs were just ok and the sauce on the ribs was nothing special. Also the last couple of ribs were burnt to a crisp, which was hidden under the sauce and had the texture of tree bark. Texas Roadhouse is way better. My wife ate one and a half chicken tender and a bite if her Mac and cheese and that was it. She never touched it again and I could see the disappointment on her face. We were both disappointed. In the end my wife did something she never does- she told the waiter she didn't like what she ate and was disappointed. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the customer service that was shown to us once we brought up our displeasure and my wife's meal was comped. I really wish I could have recommended this place but I can't. There are other places better like Roadhouse or Texas Land and Cattle, that are well deserving of your money.

I am not sure I'd go back to longhorn. I called in an order for one of my offices and it's very important for me to be prompt with this particular provider...well, guess who wasn't because they took FOREVER getting my order together? This girl! The food was pretty mediocre as well.

The food was excellent. My ribeye was perfectly cooked. I really enjoy the servers. The manager even stopped by. Great dining experience.

Family enjoyed our visit here. Service was fine, food was fine too. Nice atmosphere. Salads were over-drenched in dressing, and not sure that the mashed potatoes were not instant. But overall, ok. Expensive for what you get.

Food is reasonably priced, location is awesome. Service is sadly dependent on the waitstaff and some clearly have more experience than others. Management does check on the tables and are very polite, but I've told them twice about the entrance / check in and they've not changed it. Fried green tomatoes are awesome if you haven't tried them before. I look forward to my 3rd experience though, heck maybe even 5th!

Blah - another chain that trades in commodity buying to offer low prices, and use advertising to attract the masses like flies to a summer light. Called, asked about Happy Hour "do you have it today"? Answer: yes. Confirmed it was on Sundays, yup. Showed up, went to bar, began perusing through sticky, dirty menu. Bartender walks up, we exchanged pleasantries, and I asked about Happy Hour. Lo and behold, no happy hour on Sunday. Kind of peeved me off, since we made a special trip to check it out (given the bad reviews on here - I am not committing dinner to this place). So, we left. Passed a manager who was not really doing anything up front. Told him about what happened - right down to naming the host I spoke to. His first response? "Well, yeah, we don't have Happy Hour on Sunday." Look, dude, I am not the idiot here. I really think you should tell the host that answered the phone, not me. It is apparent these guys spend all their time talking down to their customers, and not enough time training their employees. I am sure the Wall Street deep pockets will keep them here for a long time. But, my somewhat shallow pockets will continue to go local and go down the road to Jinja for my westside steak fix.

Unfortunately, after our last visit, I have to downgrade my review. My husband and I hadn't been in a while, but we decided to go for dinner to try some of the new menu items. Despite the fact that the place was packed, we stuck it out as we really didn't have anywhere else to be, and figured everywhere else would be crowded anyway. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 35-40 minute wait, which ended up being more of a 50 minute wait. Okay, I understand that wait times are estimates and the hostess cannot control how quickly patrons leave so that others may be seated, so no biggie. But when we were seated, we were seated at a dirty table that had crumbs all over it. I said something to the hostess who just walked off, so I ended up brushing it off with my own napkin. Our waitress brought our drinks and bread promptly, which was appreciated. We ordered the cheese stuffed mushrooms to start. For dinner I ordered the parmesean crusted chicken and the new parmesean mushroom risotto as a side. It is stated on the menu that it is an extra charge as it is a "signature" side and the waitress mentioned this also, but I said it was fine. My husband ordered the bourbon molasses pork tenderloin, and we both asked for Caesar salads. About 10 minutes after ordering everything, our appetizer came out. It was pretty good. About 20 minutes after ordering, we get our salads. Both were mostly lettuce ends with very few actual leaves of lettuce. I was hungry so I ate mine anyway, but my husband hates lettuce ends and left most of his salad uneaten. When the food came, both entrees were good, but the mushroom risotto was terrible. I ended up paying $1.59 extra for a bowl of mush because they drowned what little rice there was in the same parmesean sauce they use on the chicken. I should have known better than to order risotto from a "Texas" steakhouse. When we were done with our meals, the waitress asked if I didn't like the risotto as I hadn't eaten any of it, and I told her that I didn't care for it at all. She apologized and took our plates, but I was not offered a replacement side of any kind. The manager never came by the table, even after I expressed my disappointment to our server, even though he stopped at other tables around us. And when the bill came, the charge for the risotto that I didn't take more than one bite of was still on the bill. So essentially, I ended up paying $17.00 for a piece of chicken sans side dish and a bowl of lettuce ends. The subpar food and service we keep experiencing don't justify the prices. There are other steakhouses of comparable (or better) prices that offer better food and service.

A steakhouse that doesn't know how to cook steaks pretty much sums up my review... I came on a Saturday night around 8pm lots of open tables available but still had to wait about 30 minutes for what ever reason. After we are seating waiter was great greeted us right away offered some suggestions I went with the ribeye asked for it medium rare the way a steak should be prepared and went with a salad and fries.. Salad came out and was probably the best thing out of the whole meal. steak later came out and was cooked well done. I usually don't send food back but well done just isn't edible. about 15 minutes later another steak came out this time it was medium well. and can tell they placed the flat iron on top of the steak to cook it faster as the outside was chard pretty bad. Either way everyone else at my table was already done eating so just dealt with it and ate it. Everyone else at my table also received overcooked and dry steaks. Not a happy camper.. and will not be back.. do your self a favor and go to Texas Roadhouse where the steaks are cooked perfectly and also a lot cheaper!

My family and I (husband, 2 boys and myself) came to eat here for a late Father's Day dinner since my husband was out of town. So Monday night a little before 7 we show up and got seated immediately. I love how they give teddy Graham's for the kids right away! Awesome idea!!! The bread came out and we ordered the crab and artichoke dip and it was phenomenal! I love it! Also their house margarita was really good! Then our Caesar salads came and they were pretty good. Once our main course came, we both ordered Flo's filet mignon medium and they came out super rare so we sent them back. Once they came back, they were alright. Nothing too special. But I do have to say the service was great! Our waitress was on top of everything!!! And she was super sweet! I'm not gunna say we won't ever go back, but it might be awhile.

Not good. Ate here once before and ordered the prime rib. When it was put in front of me the color was off like a sickly gray. It was dry and the taste was lacking. Figured we would give it another try so we are here now. Ordered pretzels for an appetizer and received them after we got our meal. Ordered the sirloin, it came out over seasoned couldn't taste the meat from the seasoning. The asparagus looks sickly and I received the Mashpee a toes after I received the meal as well. The yelling and noise from the back added with the service not good. Would rather go to McDonald's and I am not a fan of mcdonalds.

Very disappointing. First let me say, the service was good. The food.... not so much. We ordered the Crispy Shrimp with chiles for an appetizer.... teensy little shrimps, about 3 shrimps per bite, with peppercinis (pickled peppers)!!! Really? In NM during chile season (August) we get pickled peppers? That was the first yuck... My husband got a caesar salad, that was totally yuck... thick gooey dressing, not a classic caesar at all. He usually eats every last crumb of a caesar salad, but this one was not edible. Then came his ribeye (the best steak they serve), and it was thin, and completely unseasoned. Not even any steak sauce offered. My burger, that was was supposed to have 'roast beef piled high' on it, was hard to detect any roast beef, and the burger was very dry. It was piled with sauteed mushrooms and onions, to the point where it could not be eaten without a fork and knife. Unable to dip it in the au jus, as it just all fell in. Again, the service was good for us, but because of the food quality, we won't be back. And they never asked how our food was, so we were never given the opportunity to tell them it sucked. Would not recommend this place.

It's doubtful I'll return to Longhorn after last night's experience. First impression was a hideous sewage smell that was really strong in the bar area. We should have left then. Red wine should be served slightly cooler than room temperature. The wine we were served was really warm, and when we mentioned it to the bartender, he simply disagreed. We ordered 2 appetizers, and just one was delivered. It was a shrimp and avocado stack which tasted fine, but the wonton strips served with it didn't make sense. I wanted to scoop the shrimp mixture but these long thin strips were useless. We then found out our second appetizer had been sold out, so we chose something else. The calamari came out and it was really tasty; hence the second star. Finally, the tab came out and guess what was on it? Ah yes, the second appetizer that was never delivered. If you're looking for a steak, in a steakhouse type setting, stick with Texas Roadhouse or Texas Land and Cattle.

We would have easily given this place 4 stars, based on past experience. Our experience was not good at all tonight. I called, spoke to the manager. Didn't make it any better.

My Family of 8 went to this restaurant on a Friday night to celebrate my brother's birthday. It was the first time any of us had dined here. When you go to a steak house you have certain expectations. You expect the steaks to be cooked to the correct wellness and you expect it to be on the more expensive side. My expectations were met. My family's expectations were met. But, not everything was peaches and cream. The first disappointment came when ordering my meal. I wanted the scalloped potatoes and the waitress informed me that they had run out. This was good service by the waitress and she was knowledgeable and straight forward with this news right away, but man... I was really looking forward to that as my side dish and I had to come up with a backup plan. All of our salads, appetizers and bread were fine, but nothing to get excited about. I ordered a cheese and bacon stuffed fillet medium rare (With mashed potatoes as my plan B) . It was perfect. Everyone in our party ordered a steak. Two people ordered well done and they were the only ones that seemed disappointed and did not finish their meals. I don't really blame Longhorn for that. If there is a really good way to make a well done steak, I am not aware of it. But, it's on the menu, two people ordered well done and they got dry, tasteless meat. Part of me thinks they deserve it. Part of me wonders if there is a magical well done recipe out there that Longhorn hasn't discovered. The service itself was good. Did I mention the waitress spilled a salad on me? No? Oh, the waitress accidentally slipped and a salad got dumped down the side of my leg. I'm not holding a grudge, and in no way do I think anyone else will have to suffer this. I just think it should be mentioned. The place was pretty crowded and there seems to be a bad arrangement of tables and seats. It's pretty cramped for a steakhouse. You expect that kind of customer proximity from a Taco Bell, but not a $20-$30 plate place. To be honest I blame the befallen salad on the obstacles the wait staff has to expertly maneuver around. OWNER/S, here is a tip: Pay your waitstaff extra to be acrobats and contortionists. Otherwise they are going to keep accidentally dumping your profits on customers. That or take a couple tables out and make some dang room please. Bottom line: The Chefs, cooks and waitstaff here are doing an excellent job. They cook a perfect steak. There would have been a fourth star if all of our ordering went smoothly and all items on the menu were available (We dined at the beginning of dinner 4:30PM). There would have been a fifth star had I not had a salad dumped on me because that poor waitress needs to have CIA agility training to serve tables. These two stars fall on the management.

I went here for the first time yesterday. I confess that I was apprehensive, given the poor reviews I read here on Yelp for this LongHorn Steakhouse. That and that fact that I've never been to a LongHorn anywhere, I nearly never came here at all. However, I did and I've got to say that my experience wasn't anything like what I read here. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Our waitress came to us right away and took our order. Our entrees were served to us shortly thereafter. The food was delicious. Now, one thing that might have made a difference is that we got there at lunch time, at about 12:30. I don't know if that made a difference or not. However, we didn't experience long waits that others have in evaluating this establishment. Perhaps they've taken notice of the reviews here on Yelp and have taken appropriate steps to improve serve. The bottom line is that, based upon my experience I will return to enjoy another meal at a later date.

I ate here :to comply with Yelp's guideline before I can start to trash this place. First off, I walked in around 6pm and the tempt in the dinning room was about 80, even the waiter had to admit that it was too hot in there. We did not have reservation and It was a Thursday night so I understand about the half an hour wait for table. Second, wait staff need to be retrained. Throughout the entire dinner, the waiter kept giving me these weird looks as if I had something painted on my face. Third, food was ok, nothing extraordinary. A party of two and it costed about 60 bucks with no drinks, that is not expensive elsewhere but for ABQ I was expecting more than just a dried and rubbery piece of steak. For a second I thought It was not a real piece of meat. Fourth, Mac and Cheese was way too salty. I thought it was impossible to ruin Mac and Cheese, yet I was proven wrong. Fifth, why must we wait so long to get our drinks? simply soda and water?!? Will I come back here again? NAH... GO TO LONE STAR- it's better than here.... enough said.
