Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Horchata is a MUST! Good food overall, run by a really nice family. Also great distance from KAFB so I'll definitely be taking my coworkers back for lunch!

Great family owned business. Everything I've tried here is amazing. I'll continue to bring friends and family here to eat.

Visiting from Canada and stopped in due to the good reviews. The server (a young lady) was running around like a chicken with her head cutoff trying to keep up but still managed to check in with me a couple of times during my meal. The food - the steak, onion, jalepeno blend was fantastic (I forget the name but #18 on the menu), but the rice was so salty I couldn't eat it. The refried beans were also excellent. Another lady (maybe one of the owners?) was very kind when I checked out. Overall a decent place but the rushed atmosphere wasn't for me.

Very good food and service. The flavored are authentic traditional New Mexico. Inexpensive with a smaller seating area. While not good for large groups it is a great location if you are near the airport. We will be back.

So glad this place is right next to my work..If they closed I think that I would go into a Mexican food depression..yep ..I think so. I get the same thing every time cause there beef enchiladas with red sauce makes that day so better. It looks like a shithole in the wall and I dig that...Keeps the wanta be foodies away. read Kieths review,he knows..I didn't think keith wore socks but they blew off after eating here..yikes

The food in this place is not what a used to be. It's been a few years since the last time I ate here but today the food was very bland. The chips and salsa even sucked. The chips were old and the salsa was extra bland it needed salt or some sort of flavor. I was very disappointed with the food I will not be going back in the near future. I worst part of the experience was I was taking some to check out the restaurant. They were as disappointed with their food as I was. Hope they change their cook or management.

Good food, friendly service and reasonable prices. My wife had stuffed sopapilla and thought it was great! I had the combo plate and it was spicey but good.

What a great little place. I went here recently and got a bean burrito smothered in green that was at least a foot long for only 3.50. Food was tasty, the green chile was good but not great. I like that they don't use lard in their beans and the chile is vegetarian. The people are super nice. If you are by the base and need somewhere to eat that won't break the bank check them out. Their sopapillas are awesome!

We visit this hole in the wall at every NM visit...except we missed it this last visit. From what I remember, they have excellent food: sopapillas, stuffed sopapillas, carne adovada, and really good red and green sauces.
