This really is not a place for young families. It would be only if all of your family members that you are going there with are all 21 and over. I wouldn't bring any young people here because drinking is allowed in the game and prize area. Dave & Buster's is like an It'z for adults without the rides. Who needs those rides anyway if you are indulging in alcohol? My daughters and I have been to the Dave & Busters in Maryland, and that one seemed a lot more civil as far as not having as much booze in the game area. Plus the location in Maryland that we went to had a convenient seating area beside the game area where you can see your family play the games in the close proximity. I felt that the Maryland place was safer for my children because I can see them from the dining spot, and there were not as many alcohol consumers. The Albuquerque Dave & Busters has a separate dining area, and you can only see the game area if you are seated at the bar. This is nice if you want to ignore all of the games. So, some may prefer this set up instead. It is okay I guess if you want to compartmentalize the whole Dave & Buster's experience. I for one would prefer some dining spots in the game area since I am a slow eater. This way I can take my sweet time eating a meal, while my older children can run off to play, but I would still be able to see them every now and again. The food we had was good. My husband and I shared the steak because we both really were not that hungry. Our meal was delicious. Our daughters each had their own plate -- one enjoyed a Macaroni & Cheese dish. The friendly waitress said that was a popular item. Then our other daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and it filled her up. This is good because she is always hungry. We ended our meal with a fondu dessert. It was pretty good. I forgot to mention that my husband did not want to come here in the first place. He didn't think it was worth all of the hype, but after our meal, playing games, and picking prizes, he said that this place surprised him. I really do not think he'll object coming here again to celebrate something special. One of our friends is annoyed at all of the young people here. He mentioned it is like the parents just drop off their kids there and leave. I do not know if this is true or not, but if my children were younger, I'd bring them to It'z instead. I agree that there are simply too many young children here for my comfort level based on the alcohol consumption in the game area. The youngsters belong at Chuck E. Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza. In fact -- going back to my friend -- he also told my husband to not come here. This is one of the reasons why my Significant Other didn't care to visit here in the first place. I'm glad he changed his mind. He does agree that we wouldn't bring any young relatives here. Before I let you go, I have to say that all of the employees that we interacted with were attentive, caring, and very nice. I really like that they all were welcoming and happy. I shall be returning, but when? Mother's Day? That way I can have a few drinks while my husband can be the DD. (Ha ha ha!)

January 30, 2015 my friends and family wanted to enjoy my friend's 64th birthday with adults and kids at Dave and Busters. This was the first visit to Dave and Busters for the birthday boy. One friend shows up to Dave and Busters around 4:45 to get a table for 11. She is told we would not get a table until the whole party is there. Two additional friends show up making three of our party present. During the time they are waiting for us the restaurant starts to fill up. Another large party show up with only 5. They are seated ahead of us with just 5 never filling there large table after our 11 had already shown up. The 3 to 4 hostess standing at the hostess desk did not smile and made myself and my friends feel like we were a burden. While waiting we are at the bar with four adults standing with 3 kids next to the bar at the end. The bartender served us all drinks and the kids sodas. We have been standing there for over 35 minutes when the manager comes to us asking us to take the kids away from the bar. The restaurant was filled up with nowhere for us to go. My wife and friend moved the kids in the lobby with nowhere to sit. Our party has been there for over an hour and a half while people continue to be seated. The manager tried to berate us over the kids standing in the bar area while not recognizing why we were standing there. He did not recognize the issue was we had been there for an inexcusable amount of time. His issue with the kids had been resolved. Even though we stood there for such a long time with nobody talking to us. He was rude, argumentative with one of our friends, and did not try to get us seated. We were already uncomfortable because we were standing for a long time with hungry kids. I think the appropriate response from Mr. Werschmidt would have been to work immediately on seating us. Mr. Werschmidt and the hostesses did not seem to care. We left to celebrate our friend's birthday at another restaurant.

Is it possible to give more than one star? The food is horrific! A group of us ate there Friday night for the first time and will not be coming back. Our appetizer arrived after our dry, tasteless food after a 1 1/2 hour of waiting to be seated and another 45 minute wait to get our food. The calamari app was dry and unusually brown. My pasta had two shades to it from being left under a hreat lamp. We sent it back and manager who attempted to comp it. I declined from having anything removed and informed the manner it was one of the worst meals in the history of dining.

I'm not sure why everyone is rating this restaurant so low. We had a great time! Went on a Monday night around 7pm. The food was surprisingly good - we used to go to a D&B in Texas and the food wasn't great, so that was a pleasant surprise! We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and Cheese Steak Burger. The drinks were very tasty and the menu was huge. And of course we had a great time playing games. It was a fun date night for my fiancé and I. We will be going back again!

Dave and busters is a lot of fun. I've been to various locations all over the country. This location, however, seems to be more inundated with little kids than a lot of the other locations. This isn't a problem if you're coming as a family or with kids. It is a problem when you're coming with a group of adults. They let so many people in that at times it is even hard to walk around.

I finally managed to hit this up, mind you I've been to Dave and Busters before but not since they built the one in Albuquerque. I use to go out to San Diego every Christmas and managed to find out about D&B several years back. We decided to go because my parents were kind enough to offer to babysit which gave us the whole night to do whatever we wanted. We went on a "weekend" night and I honestly think that was a mistake. The place gets super packed because lets be honest there's not a whole lot of "fun" stuff to do in Albuquerque. I mean sure... you can go hiking in the foothills, you can enjoy downtown/uptown/nob hill but if you've lived here for 20+ years you've pretty much been there and done that. I was super excited to go because I remember that for like 20-25 bucks you could get a steak AND you could play games. I mean the last time I went to D&B I spent like $50 that included dinner, entertainment for like an hour AND I managed to get a D&B shirt. Well, this isn't a review of the last time I went in SD, this is the review for ABQ. And I will just say that I was disappointed, and it's totally my fault. They run a special on week nights where you can get a meal plus tokens and it's actually reasonably priced. So not only was it packed but food was full price, tokens were extra oh and there were more people than I enjoy being around. My advice is stick to a weeknight, get the eat and play combo and if the parking lot is full maybe consider coming back another night. Also drinks are insanely expensive, unless you have to have alcohol to enjoy yourself you might want to wait til you get home for the nightcap.
(3)Miquela S.
Talk about rude! On my damn birthday too. Only good thing I have to say is the Appetizer was decent.. Server girl was horribly rude and to start took her 20 minutes to even come over to our table and ask for drinks. No ice in tea or water and she strolled like she had nothing to do.. All over NEVER AGAIN!!
(1)Valerie M.
The only way I would eat here again is if I was forced to and someone paid for it. I was so bugged by the food and service I don't want to review it. 2 stars because the games were fun and half price on Wednesdays.
(2)Christina S.
I've been here a few times and have come to the conclusion that your experience here depends entirely on how busy they are. A few things... Food - not a bad deal, especially of you get the eat & play combos. If you stick to the food that isn't too fancy, you'll pay a decent price for what you get. Our service has been good each time we've been here. Games - a little expensive but again, use the eat & play combos plus, you can super charge a $20 game play card for an additional $3 and get more credits. If you go during super-busy times you can definitely end up frustrated that you didn't get to play that cool game or you stood in line. Try to go during a non-peak time and you'll have lots of fun. I've been to one other Dave & Buster's (in CO) and yes, there's is bigger but compared to what we have in town I'd pick this place over other similar places. It's nicer, the games are better and newer and the prize selection is great.

What a great place to eat and do something!! Wait to eat was a little long, but they give you a buzzer that works in the whole building, so you can play games while you wait. Awesome games like guitar hero, dance dance revolution, the classic skee ball and beer pong(no beer). R liked that you could drink alcohol while playing games. Waited about 40 mins to sit down, ordered drinks and food. My food came out wrong which of course is never a big deal to me, just fix it and it's fine, but the manager was alerted somehow and he took my food completely off the check and also gave us extra play points!! Such an awesome gesture even though we told him we were fine. He seems like a really good guy. Also saw him helping customers fix the game machines on the game floor. Our waitress was average but the manager definitely made up for it!! After we ate and R had a couple of their creative mixed drinks we played some games with the extra points we got, and got enough tickets to get some Dave and busters coffee mugs!! Only complaint is the waiting area to get on be waiting list for dining and also to wait in line for play points needs to be redone or something. You walk into the building and everyone is crammed waiting in line for play points. We went on a Friday night though so maybe it's different on week nights! Try it out if you are wanting a different kind of Friday night!! Food was alright by the way. Nothing crazy special but good.

Wow! This place is a dream for those who like playing games. The atmosphere is intense, probably too intense for me. The music is blaring and Games are cha'ching'ing, very similar to a Las Vegas Casino, but louder. The food is overpriced and mediocre. For an appetizer, I ordered the calamari- there were about 8-10 pieces of Calamari on top of a bed of fried onions, so it creates the illusion that you are receiving more than what you ordered. For my main entree I ordered the chicken wing and rib combo. The presentation was very nice, the dish came in a large skillet. The food, itself, came out lukewarm and too salty. PROs: diverse selection of food, games, and drinks. CONs: expensive, very loud, mediocre, salty food.
(2)Elise C.
Overall I give 4 stars. But in reality the restaurant is more like 3, and my coin dozer addiction makes the games a 5. Weve gone 2 or 3 times a month since it opened, I've tried over 10 dishes and... just don't like the food. I can't describe it. The only things I kind of like are the pretzel dogs and the sliders. I'm a bit of a foodie and am usually not satisfied here. But you get the 20 dollar game card and a super charge and mix that with half off Wednesdays and you've got a winning combo.
(4)Jeremy K.
I'm no rookie to D&B's but this one is a joke. Not sure if I'm just maturing or this one just falls below par. The place was full of scantily dressed teenagers being hit on or flirting with obvious 20 something's. Standing room only more like sardine box. This D&B is tiny compared to others I've been to. The food I personally didn't order anything. From what I saw and smelled others eating I'm sure glad I didn't eat. The prices are high for what you get. The games are fun and have that child like nostalgia when you get to play them. Oh yes you have to wait in lines to give a try at almost any game. Okay pool you say good luck with that. I thought this was going to be a great thing for Albuquerque but it's actually not at all. It looks to be feeding into the problems the city has with the youth and teens associating with older people when they shouldn't be.
(1)Lacey B.
Being from Cleveland and Austin, I'm no rookie when it comes to Dave & Buster's. During miserably hot weather in Austin or frigid temps in Cleveland, this was our family destination's go-to spot when picnics, hiking, or a walk in the park was off limits! But, my kids are older (14 yrs & 18 yrs), so I do NOT recommend this place for young children. It is geared towards older teens and adults. I have been to company parties and events at D&B as well as going there on my own dime. For all the newbies to this place, here is the general gist of it. At D&B, you will find billiards, interactive and virtual games, skeeball, arcade games, and a variety of games you can play some stakes. Scoring well on many of the games leads to tickets, which can be cashed in for prizes! You won't find jelly bracelets and stickers as your prizes, instead you will find apparel, decor, video games (i.e. PS3, PS4 games), toys, candy, and other vig. One year, my husband & I attended a company event and used the tickets to buy a bunch of Christmas gifts for our kids. So, there is a large variety of prizes. -- Oh, and I forgot the best part -- there is delicious food and alcohol! Still mystified? Think Chucky Cheese but with booze and power cards instead of tokens!
(5)Ashley P.
Tweens, unite! So, you know... This is like Chuck E. cheese for adults. Booze, food, games. Booze is meh. They have your normal selections, nothing special. Food is horrible. Greasy, tasteless, and disgusting. Games are actually kind of pricey. More than I expected. These guys know they're in Albuquerque now, right? All of these things combined with the fact that this place was insanely crowded with tweens, teens, and creepy 20 somethings hitting on the teens and I gotta say... Not coming back. This place has no draw. It would be different if they had at least good bar food and a wider selection of beer but... For the prices and ridiculous crowds, I just can't see a reason to come back. Fail, D&B.
(1)Ashley E.
HOLY COW THIS PLACE IS SOOO LOUD! Oh sorry, I was I shouting? Really, this place is super fun. I went with friends for my 29th birthday party. The thing I was surprised by was how many people had babies there! It was seriously crazy loud so I can't really understand that...but to each their own. The food was good, the drinks expensive, the games plenty. All things considered, it was a good time! I'd go back!
(3)Kevin L.
Waited 15 minutes. Still no drink and not even a "I'll be right with you". Where are the waiters. It's not even busy. Probably they are just play games rather than do their jobs. So hungry!
(1)Jade H.
Smaller than other ones I've been to, but it's still fun. We've been a few times and we've enjoyed it each time. We are part of the email club, so we get discounts, and that's when we go. It would be nice if they had a few more games, but there's plenty to do. They change the games and prizes periodically, so there's something new every couple of months. I really like that you can change in your tickets for free apps and desserts.
(4)Matt S.
Let me tell you a story about the best birthday ever. Actually, my birthday wasn't totally ruined by the horrible service my friends and I experienced, but it was totally lame being my first time Dave and Buster's experience. It took over a hour for my party to get a table. During so, we spent our time on the arcade floor, which was a blast and the only reason for the "positive" star. Finally we get a table, but guess what, not a waitress/server in sight. Took over 15 minutes just to get someone to approach us for our initial drink order. Since we waited so long and the majority of us were starving, we went ahead and placed our food order as well. I guess that didn't help the situation. We arrived at Dave and Busters at 10:30 pm. We received part of our food order by 12:15am. Drink orders were never fully fulfilled and some people in our party received their meals long after some had already finished theirs. By far the worst service in all of Albuquerque I have ever experienced. Will I ever go back? NOPE. Oh and they got my name wrong on the birthday shoutout which was hilarious at the end of the night.
(1)Heath H.
It has all the games food and drink like other DnB's but is much smaller. It makes it louder and more packed than what I'm use to at a DnB's. Go for fun and games but way to noisy to sit and hang out.
(3)Allison B.
I should preface my review by stating I am not a fan of chain anything. I was recently here on a Sunday with a large group. First off a Sunday at 2pm in the middle of football season, just a few weeks after the grand opening - Bad idea. The wait for a table for 15 was 3 hours, so we swiped a few tables in the bar area as soon as we could. The service was slow, I understand it's still early in the game for them, but there are some common sense practices when it comes to being a server. The 2 other ladies at my table ordered before I'd had a chance to look at the menu, and were served before the waitress even took my drink order. It took at least 30 minutes for their food to come out. The food is good, I tried the fish and chips, calamari and chocolate fondue. The fish and chips exceeded expectations (but they're no Two Fools). The calamari was good. The fondue I could pass on next time around. The menu says to ask about their local beer selection, which is pretty weak. I hope that's something they change in the future. Otherwise, after the newness wears off I'd definitely go back.
(3)Ling Tzu W.
For being the one and only Dave & Buster's here in Albuquerque, this one is pretty decent. With the crowds swarming into this place the first couple of weeks, I am pretty surprised on how well the staff is managing the crowd control. As for the food, all I can judge from is from the Grand Opening and the quality of banquet food served at this place is pretty good for a chain. For the bar, they have a decent selection of beers and for being a chain, I applaud their efforts to have local brews on tap. The bartender there also can make pretty mean Tequila Sunrise. Overall, the games are fun, food is decent and the drinks are pretty good. I would definitely frequent this place since I love arcade games.
(4)Erik L.
The food here was pretty bad to say the least. Every piece of meat took quite a bit of effort to get through. One piece was pretty much raw. Medium well should not still be bleeding on my plate. Service was sub par as well. Not many people in and it took almost 30 minutes for our order to be taken. Even longer for the food to come out. At least they don't charge a cover to see UFC fights. This place is pretty much a ripoff.
(2)Harold S.
I did not check Yelp for D&B because there should not be issues unless they can't get the basics right. Well this is the last time I make assumptions like that. Quality and service issues here all around. Most of all I was really disappointed with the careless attitude of the staff up front.
(1)Jeff M.
Sharisha at the bar was great. She kept my drink full and a smile on my face. Yes, it's loud, but anyone going here should expect that. I like that I can sit at lunch and watch sports. No pressure if all I'm drinking is iced tea.
(4)Aubrey G.
This is my third time here, but my first time ordering food. First off I wanna say this is a great place to go with friends to have drinks and play games. However, if you're hungry I would recommend to eat before. I came here with my family and we were all very disappointed. I ordered a BBQ burger and I could tell right away it wasn't fresh meat. Instead of a good bar burger it was more like getting one of those frozen patties from a little league baseball game, but worse! My mom and sister ordered fish and chips, which were so greasy it drowned the fish! My brother got steak and shrimp skewers. The shrimp was good, but the veins were almost still pulsing in the steak! It was disgusting! My brother can eat anything and he didn't even dare to take a bite. Let's just say it ruined all of our appetites. We asked for a manager just to let him know about the food. We weren't trying to get anything free. We honestly wanted to let him know, so maybe he could tell his cooks. Instead he seemed to care less. Anyways, if you want a great experience here then stay away from the food.
(2)Carsten D.
This was my first time here. Came on the day they could not serve alcohol due to a violation. Got in, looked at the menu, and ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer. It was good in the sense that as all franchised spinach dips are pretty much the same. My wife and I did the eat and play. She had the steak and shrimp alfredo and I had the ribs with wings. I ate my first wing and instantly knew something was off. I took another bite and realized that the sauce was nothing but vinegar. I don't know what buffalo they took those wings from, but it needs to take a shower. The ribs were so dry and tough, I had to take a drink after every bite. My wife had me try her pasta and it was completely flavorless. Can anybody at least say salt? It was nothing but noodles with a creamy texture on it. We got comped a dessert and I was hoping to cut the vinegar flavor left in my mouth, and even that wasn't good. If I served that kind of food in a restaurant, I would literally commit suicide because there is nothing in my life. They are Dave and Busting my balls by letting me eat, drink, and get played for the price I had to pay. Wish I at least could of gotten drunk.
(1)Matt B.
Ya, the shine wore off this place quick, didn't it? In the 3 times I've been, I don't think I've seen one happy employee. The food and drinks are right up there with an Applebees or other chain restaurant that trucks in frozen food. The bar service has been mediocre on a good day but most of the time it seems easy to be forgotten by your server. The games are fun for a few minutes but after a bit, it feels like a casino, you know you may win something but you'll spend $60 when you could buy it for $20.
(2)Mike P.
Smaller than expected. Not bad but not great. A LOT smaller than I thought it would be. Should've made this place twice the size with more parking. Tried the cheese steak, sliders, pretzel dogs, calamari, and grilled cheese. Fries were better than expected. Calamari looks plentiful until you realize some of them are fried banana peppers, regardless, still good. Grilled cheese is bad. If you like cheese you'll easily be able to tell they are using a very generic cheese. Marble IPA on tap so that's a plus. Waitress was very nice despite how busy they were and wait time was average. 3 stars for being very small and average food.
(3)Jenn W.
We are Dave and Buster's frequent flyers - we've been to D&Bs in California (San Diego & Irvine), Colorado, Arizona (Tempe & Phoenix), Texas, Hawaii, Washington and perhaps others I've forgotten. This one is like the others except this one is small (primarily the game room but it has all of our faves - claw game, anyone?!). Don't come here looking for a gourmet meal - it's your run of the mill fried frozen food delights. Why do we come? It's loud (so our kids fit right in!), our 5 year old has been saving up for a 7000 point pink gorilla for a while and she's determined to get it, and it's fun! Our kids like playing the games and it is a nice treat when we need something to do! It is a bit pricey for what it is but it is on par for this type of restaurant. The service can be hit or miss at D&Bs but we, honestly, haven't had a bad service experience at this location.
(3)S L.
Let me preface this by saying I WANTED to love this place. I had heard amazing things about it and was so happy we finally got to try it. Let's start off with the food, average at best. The mac and cheese had zero flavor, the portobello burger was just ehh, it was limp, slimy and sad. The kids has chicken fingers which were OK enough but they didn't even finish the small plate they shared. The one highlight was the milkshake which my son really liked. The service was so incredibly slow, the place was not packed at all so they must be understaffed. Now onto the games, we are standing in line when a couple behind us gets ushered in by an employee in a black checkered shirt. No lines or paying if you are a friend I guess. Just for those waiting with kids. Once we paid and went in it was ok, the kids had an ok time but when they say "eat, drink, play" note the emphasis on the drinking. There were quite a few people drinking but a couple that were falling down drunk, loud, and just scary to be around made this visit extra horrible. I guess the bartenders here don't have a cut off point for anyone as these two got to drink till they fell down literally. We will never come back.
(1)Robert B.
This is seriously an adult playground. If you're a sports fan, they have a dozen or more huge TVs scattered around the bar. If you're a gamer, they have approximately a metric crap ton of different video and arcade games. If you like to drink, they have a full bar, decent selection (though I would like to see more local beers on tap) and the prices seam reasonable. If you're a foodie, well, at their grand opening, the food sampling was really quite good. Check out ABQs newest playground!
(4)Brian B.
After taken a simple 3 person order, they seemed to mess it up. Not 1 or even 2 times, but I never got my simple steamed vegetables! After a little 16.00 credit to our bill, was not satisfied with this place! Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Still waiting on that 3rd beer...!
(1)Retro T.
Ok so this review is based on first impressions. This place has been open for one month. I was glad to come and enjoy the games before half the gaming units brake. As far as food and waitstaff... I'll get to that. From the outside this place doesn't have any flash, glitz or glamour. You walk to the front doors to meet a doorman. Yes a doorman like a Vegas club, but with no clip board just a clicker. He checks ID and makes some pretty simple jokes, not sure why outside but what evs. Make it inside... Huge counter a lady there... We can choose to go left or choose to go right or to the counter. Now the lady said nothing so we go left. Walked around and looked at all the gaming units. Figured out we needed to talk to the silent desk lady to get a game card. Got a card and played some games and used our tickets we earned. Pretty norm. What was not norm was a waitress walking around asking for drink orders alcoholic and non. We declined but some people did order and I watched as the poor waitress had to wait for the guy to finish his game (shooting basketballs) holding the beer forever... Just weird. Now food. First impressions is that this place has been open for ONE MONTH and the menus are so FILTHY. Gotta wipe down menus and don't forget the menus that stay at the table. Wings are nothing special..kids burger larger than norm..but chicken strips skinny and again nothing special. Fries are not fresh. Potato skins had no seasoning and cheese sticks some how not cheesy. With this place newly opened I expected some outstanding customer service and a great experience, but all I got was eh! I will give any place a second chance but not to soon. Give this place a shot because maybe we just got the "B squad" and you'll have a better experience... There is always hope.
(2)Dominic S.
The food was actually pretty good. Especially considering the whole menu is fried basically, prices reasonable too. Problem with this place is the organization and to a certain extent the service. The bartender got 4 drink orders in a row wrong. Four of them... when I asked for my correct drink she acted put off and argued that I ordered something completely different. The ticket area is kind of a shit show too, there was one person handling tickets and the line was a 15-20 minute wait on a busy friday, same for the prize store. Typical ham fisted albuquerque attempt to have big city stuff and totally botching it. Overall place was fun but frustrating.
(2)KC F.
It was sooooo loud. I understand the need for ding, zing& bing but I'm concerned for the workers and their hearing loss. Even in the restaurant section it was too noisy to hold a conversation. I felt it was expensive to play the games and they don't have really cheap goodies to buy ( ie tootsie rolls or jolly ranchers) when the kids have a few leftover coupons. I can see the allure with your adult friends to hang and have a drink and be silly. It's not really "family friendly(or safe)" to play with your kids and drink. Keep it local and go to Hinkle Family Fun center.
(2)James E.
First time to this location.. Sat down at the bar. This bartender ignored us helping everyone else. I guess we were invisible today. I tip well for good service, his loss.. Don't know if I'll be back. Don't care to be disrespected like that. Just wanted a few drinks cuz once in awhile I deserve that, I work hard, but only had one thanks the this idiot. I visit d & b's whenever I travel but a hometown location, I thought cool. But now. F that. Don't come unless u wanna be treated like s...t..... . Decided to give them a chance for another round n another epic failure, so really don't waste your time. Definitely not an enjoyable experience. D&B's Albuquerque? Fail in my eyes, but hey, maybe I don't count, well at least not here I don't.

We expected grown-up fun. We got Block Party with a bar. This is one of those places that COULD have been great, but in typical Albuquerque fashion, it falls short. I haven't seen this many drunks running around with their kids in tow since the state fair. Service was pretty slow, and I do understand that Saturday night is busy, but management must make adjustments in staffing levels to accommodate, and, more importantly, step in when a server is in the weeds. I saw a few management types hustling around the floor looking busy, but they weren't actually DOING anything. I had the Bar Chicks sliders, which were ok, but chicken strips don't really fit properly on the buns, so I just ate the strips. My wifey had the Lawnmower, which was (although tasty) waaaaaaayyyy too much salad, too much for us even to share. Plus there were green/red peppers, which I had never seen on a Cobb salad before. As for the games, seriously, who wants to wait in line (it was more of a blob than a line, about 20-25 deep, with no organization to speak of) to buy a card that allows them to play games they have to wait in line for? I'd also like to see how they come up with the cost/game (6.2 credits for one play on a game I saw, but that 6.2 carries a different actual cost depending on how much you spent on the card? I think...) Are there other D&B that don't allow kids? Or have like a "Kiddie Closing Time" so that the adults can enjoy themselves without fear of stepping on or running into some poor little kid? Here's a fact: kids and booze don't mix. I'm glad we tried it, and I would go to a D&B in another city, but we will not be back to the ABQ location.

Dave & Buster's is basically Chuck-E-Cheese for adults. This place has a pretty decent arcade on one side of the building and the other side is a full bar with lots of TVs and also the restaurant section behind that. This place gets packed and usually has a line to get in the door. You also have to wait to play most of the arcade games as well to get a drink. Overall I think this place was pretty over hyped and overpriced and not worth all the waiting in lines for.

We came here tonight to have a drink and some appetizers. The service was horrible, very slow and the people behind the bar were more interested in talking to each other or being on their cell phones the actually working. Feeling discouraged at the Albuquerque Dave and Busters.

They are really busy being new in town. Sad to say service may be suffering because of the recent fame. Though the Local security folks are the most energized and courteous i've EVER experienced. We've had the most watered down Long Island Iced Tea and Mojito we've EVER had. Bummer. The gaming was as lot of fun to expensive. The food was tasty to lacked imagination. They need to get back to the drawing board on the Chicken wings. The skin was not crispy one bit. Tasted like they boiled them. YUK YUK YUK. Our Waitress Check in at the beginning, when dropping off our food and not to be seen till it was check time. Ouch.

The little Snots at the front desk could use some training in customer service. And, they wouldn't let us use the coupon for checking in on Yelp

Horrible place. Atmosphere is nonexistent. When my wife and I sat at an empty table in the bar area the server informed us that we must leave the area until our names were on the hostess' list. Only when our names were called could we order a beer. Horrible way to treat new customers. Recommend avoidance but if you enjoy being insulted then this is your place.

Overpriced food for what you get. The chicken in two dishes in my group of friends was really dry. So were the fries. Wings are ok. Service was good. Sitting at a table in the bar has to go thru the hostesses unless you sit at the actual bar.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Worst establishment I've ever been to. The management was completely rude and disrespectful. I have never felt so belittled in my entire life. Please save yourselves and your money and NEVER go here. You will regret it.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Place was packed but we managed to get the kids off with their game cards while we scored a table in the bar overlooking the gaming area. Jody was our server and he was great, very attentive and friendly. I had the margarita coronita which was good and an order of nachos. The nachos were delivered quickly but tasted just ok. The kids had a great time playing games while we enjoyed our drinks and food for a good hour and a half. The kids had a great time. We will definitely be back!

Wow can you say disappointed. My parents were visiting from Cali. We've done Dave & Buster's in other states. I know they are new and I want to give them a break, but just getting past the purchase counter was rough. My kids had gift cards. I'm sure they are all learning as they go, but how many employees does it take to turn a gift card into a play card - ugh. That set the tone. Hint - you only get one shot at a first impression ! Ok let's put it behind us and have some fun. But then there is only one employee handling ticket turn in. ONE!!?? To top it off the family in front of us believes they are the only ones in the world. Are you seriously making me wait so you can find Mama since she is the only one in your family of four with a play card??? After numerous minutes of waiting I ask if she is the only one open - yes. Can you scoot them over to the side and take us since the line is growing and growing? What a novel idea. Disappointed. I will give them another chance (like I have a choice I'm a mom !).

Not a bad spot...... IF you are going there to play games. We went there to eat. A hour wait, we ended up waiting a hour and a half. They had forgotten about us, and our buzzer didn't even buzz. I ordered nachos. Came out COLD, waitress sent them back.. 10 minutes later, nachos came back out COLD again. Never got a "how are your nachos now" from our waitress. They did take them off the bill, would have been better off going to gardunos next door. Will be back to play games and drink some beer.. Thats all!

Went in today at 11:45 am with my wife for some lunch. Not terribly busy at this time was seated right away. The music was way to loud for for the amount of people in the restaurant and you could not even talk to the person across the table with out yelling. Food was hit or miss for us. The spinach artichoke dip was very good as was my wife's Philly sandwich. My fish and chips on the other hand was very mushy and not firm and flaky as it should have been. I asked the waitress before ordering if the fish was fresh and she said it was. The manager came around and asked how everything was and I told him about the "fresh" fish and he told me that it was in fact frozen fish. No discount was offered. YMMV.

It's like Chuck e Cheese for adults! Fun games, drinks, and surprisingly awesome food! Just be prepared to spend a good chunk of change.

We have been inundated with Dave and Buster ' commercials for years, and finally got one. I was so excited, because as a gamer alone, this place boasts their million dollar arcade. To me, that means the latest and greatest from Japan. Street fighter, for example, should be a given, but it's not here. The only saving grace is mario kart. you might also expect or hope to see console gaming and tournaments. nope. This is indeed chuck cheese for adults, and that's disappointing. For the dining portion of this review, you are hard pressed to find anything under ten dollars. okay, that's fine but now the level of expectation raises exponentially. we chose the Philly steak and cheese, which was average, but nothing memorable. i thought the building would be bigger, and separate the three themes much better. however, the place is so loud, wherever you go, you can't have a conversation and overtime becomes uncomfortable. I'll return occasionally for the games, but I'd prefer my sports bar and dining experiences elsewhere.

Where do I even begin.. By far the worst experience I've ever ever had at a restaurant!!!! Got there at 9pm on a Tuesday night when the pop was dying down. It was my friends birthday gathering so there were 13 of us. Got sat at 920 waited till 935 still no greet! I go to the host stand to ask for a server... Well this little blonde hostess was there texting and when I asked she said "oh let me get someone to pick up the table" I was already annoyed that they never let a server know to greet us! Our server was new, really nice and has lots of potential! None of this was her fault! The service was so slow it took 45 minutes for our cocktails, another 45 minutes for our food and when I got my food the meat on my Philly was so cold I couldn't eat it. I already had let a manager know what was going on so he could help the server or do whatever he needed to so we could go play games but NO! There was NO MANAGER that came by and talked to us and apploligized... A couple drinks came out wrong, food came out cold... I'm over it at this point and we want our checks... It's 1115 now! So we didn't get out of there restaurant from eating dinner till 1230! The most embarrassing thing is all my friends work in a restaurant and we know how it is! This is not acceptable AT ALL! I'm a manager at another restaurant and it was really embarrassing and sad that I had to tell the manager "be a manager and take care of it"! I hate complaining but my friends and I will NEVER EVER BE BACK!!! The managers at Dave and busters are a joke!

I am a manager at a restaurant myself and really hated my experience at Dave and Busters that evening. It was a friend's birthday so I was obligated to stay, but I was so angry after the experience that I waited a few days to contact a manager since our entire table was extremely heated. I have been to several D&B's throughout the years and have always loved the experience... until I came to this one, in my own hometown. Our party trickled in--- I walked in at 8:30--- and I know how annoying it is to have that happen with a large table. However, one member of our party spoke to an employee who told us to wait for our party (at this point, about seven) at a table just outside the bar/inside the game area and that when we were there someone would help us. We pulled two tables together, and when seven of us arrived, we waited there for ten minutes with several employees looking at us and completely ignoring us. There was even what appeared to be a manager who looked at me and walked past, and instead of leaving, we decided to move to the restaurant side. We spoke with the hostess who gave no acknowledgement that we had been there for about twenty minutes without ever seeing a bartender or server, and in about five minutes we were seated. During the wait a few members of the party went to the bar and ordered drinks. When we were seated, a server who identified himself as Jody came and told us that he would be back in a few minutes to take our order. He looked around the table (again there are about seven of us, three of whom had alcoholic drinks), and said, "Since you already have your drinks, I'll be right back," and left the table, though we had already been waiting forever and over half of us were empty-handed. The birthday boy had to yell over the noise in order to ask for a round of water. We looked over the menu for ten minutes, and then six minutes passed before we got our water. That's sixteen minutes for water, which was delivered without straws or anything else. Then Jody walked away and didn't show back up for another ten minutes, when we flagged down a host and asked to see our server. I do acknowledge for the first twenty minutes, there was a large party seated near us. Again, I am a server and completely understand how a restaurant can get bogged down by large groups--- I work Old Town during balloon fiesta--- but it's Dave & Busters and a high volume is anticipated, and there were large amounts of employees walking through the dining area who never even checked to see if our server had remembered us. When Jody showed up to take our order, he seemed annoyed and rushed, so we ordered quickly, and waited for our food. We were not asked if we wanted appetizers during the thirty minute wait or anything other than water (three of us were under 21!). While we were waiting for our food, two more members of our party showed up, who happened to be very attractive young women, and suddenly, Jody was back! He wanted to chat with them over their drink choices and food choices and even pulled up a chair as to stay on eye-level with these valued costumers. After four minutes of great service, he comes back to our side of the table (our food has just arrived), and asks if we need anything, and we rattled off supplies-- ketchup, ranch, mustard, straws, extra napkins, and before we were even done with the table, he took off, came back, dropped the condiments off (no straws, no napkins), and went back to the young women seated at our table and talked to them about Mojitos for a minute before leaving. To top everything off, our check was wrong, and the best three minutes of service were when I was asking for your card and even then I caught an eye roll. As a server who works extremely hard for her money and for her customers, I find this level of customer service unacceptable. Not everyone is cut out for serving, but I bet if every customer Jody had was an attractive girl, maybe he could work up to D&B's (hopefully) high standards. Please bring Albuquerque the Dave and Buster's it deserves--- we've waited forever for this!
