Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Absolutely delicious Chinese food!! My Uncle was telling me how good their General Tso's chicken was, so I was so eager and tempted to call in an order on the phone so sure enough I did. Boy my uncle wasn't kidding, it was by far the best General Tso's chicken I've ever had. Double thumbs up for this place!! me and my family love eating here.

Very very good food, a lot of flavor. I had the garlic chicken. My daughter had the general tao sesame chicken, and our friend had the chicken chow mein. All was excellent. The soup was excellent. I would come again.

This is the best in town. They even have THE BEST lunch specials in town. Superior food at 80's prices!! Not a better Chinese food place in town. Small very family like and friendly. They remember their customers and always greet all. I love it and always feel welcome.

This is the exact type of Chinese food I was hoping to find. It reminds me of delicious places I ate as a kid that I haven't been able to find in years. The atmosphere was casual, the service was good, and the food was delicious. We had the spicy garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken as part of the family meal (for two or more people, about $12 each person). It included enough food for 4 easily - can't wait to have the leftovers. The garlic chicken had a very good spice level (mild to medium) and large, fresh tasting veggies mixed in with the chicken. The set and sour chicken was spot on classic - the chicken was good with no "weird bits" and the breading was cooked through. The sauce was perfect. This is not a fancy restaurant, but is clean and was enjoyable to eat in and will definitely be a place we come again and again for dine in and take out.

I'm still looking for some decent Asian/Chinese food in Albuquerque, and once I saw the positive reviews I had to give it a try. China City Restaurant sits in an older strip mall. The dining room is clean and decorated in the typical way. It doesn't stand out in either a good or bad way. Lunch options come with fried rice, egg drop soup and an egg roll. Prices are super cheap ($6 or so for each option). I selected to pay a dollar more for hot and sour soup. The soup was tasty, but unlike any other hot and sour soup I've ever had. It had green bell peppers and zucchini in it. New to me, but good nonetheless. I chose Szechuan Chicken for lunch. The egg roll was just okay. It tasted like flour and lacked crisp. The fried rice was simply fried rice with no vegetables added. The main dish I found bland and flat flavor wise. The portion is huge, but just not flavorful enough and lacking in spice. I also noticed that the vegetables are all cut in long thin strips- which gives the meal an odd look about it.

BEST fried rice with shrimp in town. Very good size portions. If you eat in you get egg drop soup while you wait. If you take out check for condiments and napkins ( Sometimes nothing in there not even a fortune cookie)

SO lets talk about the food: WELL it had more flavor on the next day. I didn't like the "lunch special" which really came out to 12 bucks with a drink and tip. The service was great but the food wasn't up to my standards. I ordered chicken and broccoli. It usually comes with a brown well flavor sauce, but instead i got a tasteless rice, clear mystery sauce and an over seasoned spring roll. SAD but I'm still looking for a delicious spring roll!! But anyways ... doubt ill be going there again. Sorry :/

Really wanted to like this place as it got decent reviews, but both my husband and I felt sick after eating their sweet and sour chicken, General Tso's chicken and spring rolls. Probably won't be back:(

I have been in NM for the last 10 years from the west coast. This is truly the first Chinese food I have had in NM that compared to California Chinese food. I will also say, the staff were some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Man, what a class act business. Seriously happy with my experience. I will be back here for sure. Thanks for the help Yelp. Wouldn't have found it without your app.

Visited this restaurant because of the Yelp reviews. Was very disappointed with the visit. Large portions of mediocre food. Nothing that deserved five stars. Would not visit this restaurant again.

Great place! Food is always fresh and delicious. Friendly staff. We always need a takeout box. The portions are huge and the prices are very low.

Very good food and great/gracious ownership and service. Love coming here and they can serve up authentic Chinese too - great chow fung (sp?). Great hot and sour soup too. The portions are crazy huge but still maintain a great flavor as well. It's very hard to find a place that can serve up both!

My favorite place to get Chinese food. I've eaten in Chinatown in NYC and San Francisco and this place is right up there with the best. Great big portions. Yes, they have takeout containers for you to take your leftovers - but I bring my own so I can just heat the leftovers for supper. The soup is fresh made each day. My favorites are the chicken chow mein and cashew chicken. Since I'm a regular the waitress knows that I don't care for the little corns or the zucchini so I get extra water chestnuts. My husband likes his food spicy so they always add extra heat to his. Brought a friend to eat there and she said we should have ordered from the luncheon menu because it was so much. Told her that we did. She had the hot and sour soup and she said she had never had the soup so full of good things as this was. LOVE this place! I also had my ladies lunch group go and they were fine with all 14 of us getting separate checks (I had called in advance to check and let them know a big group was coming)

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town!!! They have a multitude of choices and the owners are very sweet and accommodating. The service is excellent and prices are cheap for a lot of tasty food. I will be back many times a month and I recommend you do the same!
