Mrs. B's family and I went to Bouche for dinner on a whim one night a few weeks ago. They have a very select menu (three items the night we were there) but everything they make is outstanding. They are a little low on seating space so maybe call ahead first to see if they have room for you. There were 8 of us when we went and they setup a table specifically for us. The wait staff were great at their jobs and very personable. They even saw that Baby B was starting to get fussy and brought him a spoon and plastic egg to play with, kept him occupied for quite some time. It's a little more pricy but the food is definately worth it.

Most of this thing we call life is really, really forgettable. It has to be, there's only so much Random Access Memory available in that there noggin' and really, we shouldn't clog the whole thing up with old Friends episodes or all of those times Uncle Carl said something about someone that sounded kinda racist. Most of this stuff, man, forget about it. Remember the stuff that matters, the stuff that adds substance and soul and meaning, that connects you with other people, enlightens and educates, and... well, really incredible meals, remember those, too. I'm still tasting my unforgettable lunch as I write this, four hours later. The entire experience was precisely, without question the kind of culinary trifecta that I look for and rarely discover, anywhere. Deloris met me at the door as soon as I entered with a warm, authentic greeting: check. Caitlin, the only waitress handling this tiny operation (six 2-top tables) was legit, attentive but never invasive: check. Josh, the executive chef, was a humble down-to-earth dude who crafted a plate of pork, brussels sprouts and taters that, well, goes into my record book for top 10 lunches ever: check. Add to this the philosophy, where 90% of the stuff is locally sourced, the menu changes every day (sometimes twice a day) to reflect what they have in the kitchen, and the price ($15-25 per entree, lunch) is absolutely fair. I'm so sorry I waited so long to try this out. One visit, it's one of my absolute favorites anywhere in New Mexico. Whoosh! How awesome is Bouche?

This is a hidden gem in a place you would not expect to find one. It's a small place with but with 12 tables or so. These are always the best places in cities of any size. We had the tilapia and ribeye. Both were perfectly cooked to order. The accompaniments were dead on for each entree. The menu changes daily or more to accommodate what fresh foods are available. The ribeye was perfectly cooked. It was accompanied with seasonal veggies, mushrooms and traditional Pom frites. The tilapia was on a bed of orzo and was accompanied with a lemon based cream sauce and a butternut squash purée with roasted Brussel sprouts. Very good. We finished with an apple cobbler that was as good as I've had at grandma's. Amazing! You've got to get out here. There is a revolution in the making. Albuquerque needs places like this.

I almost don't want to write about Bouche because I want to keep it to myself! This place is fantastic. Yes, it's super tiny (4 tables inside, I believe, and a few patio spots). The menu is written on a chalkboard and consists of a salad, soup, perhaps an appetizer, 2-3 options for an entree, and whatever they have whipped up for dessert. Menu items rotate based on seasonal availability and inspiration of the kitchen so it's hard to make recommendations -- no worries, everything is delicious! Although they do not have a wine list, the wine shop next door provides a wine list for you to check out and order with your dinner (swing by there before dinner so you can do a full tasting!). Love, love, love Bouche and can't wait to go again!

I really, really hate to give a place three stars, especially when that fourth or fifth star could have been SO EASILY obtained with decent service! The food here was excellent. Their menu is small and changes daily. We love that! We started with the cheese plate which was perfect for four people and delicious! We also got the quail as an appetizer. Both were very reasonably priced at $9 and $10 each. They have a good selection of local, reasonably priced wine which they were happy to let us sample. For dinner, my fiancé and I both got the Lobster Petit for dinner which came on a bed of red quinoa mixed with pineapple--it was full of flavor. Our friends both got the pork loin which was a large serving and they both enjoyed. The entrées were both priced at $16 each! Again, reasonable prices for really, very good food. Now to the not so good part. Our meal took two hours from start to finish and its not because we were enjoying the view (which is beautiful by the way--their patio cleverly cuts off views of the Sweet Tomato next door and focuses your gaze on the Bosque). The wait staff was very friendly but not professional. We had to ask multiple times for our dirty glasses/plates to be cleared as we went through courses. We also had to ask for water refills and even a clean glass when a dirty one was brought out. When the waitstaff was not helping someone, they were sitting and talking, in plain sight of all clientele at a counter inside the front of the restaurant. I believe this place has a lot of heart and I think with a few easily fixable kinks this could easily be one of the best restaurants on the westside. I will most def try them again and hope for a better experience!

The food at Bouche is exquisite and carefully prepared. I especially love the pork loin. The menu changes according to what is fresh that day. Some reviewers have complained that a meal there takes a long time. It's true that this is not a place to duck into, have a quick meal, and leave. If you want that, go to Chili's. At Bouche, you take time to savor every bite and enjoy a conversation with your dining partner. Slow food is fantastic food. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. You don't have to get dressed up to go this French restaurant--it's "come as you are" and enjoy your meal.

One of the best meals I have had in Albuquerque. This place is small and intimate. I had a bison porterhouse with purple sweet potato cakes, and saute greens and mushrooms. My girlfriend had the smoked pork loin with roasted potatoes. They have teamed up with the winery across from them to complete your meal. The menu changes every day and ya never know what will be served until that day. Check this place out if you would like a great meal.

Hard to find, but excellent food and service. The cheese plate was incredible! We had the beef and the pork trio. The beef was our favorite.

I was torn writing this review. I love reviewing places I've eaten at so others know what's good and what to order. That way lots of people can visit and enjoy. But as the wonderful couple we were seated with and I discussed, do we want this place overrun with crowds?! Well, here goes! Our group was excited to hear our after-TEDx dinner was actually a tasting menu of five courses paired with DH Lescombes wines. The owner was everywhere making sure everyone was happy. The chefs had fun with the menu and came out to explain everything throughout. The wine was described and paired expertly. The patio was so nice and we all ate family style with other guests. I will not do the menu justice in describing it. Starter was a peppery cheese encased in a dough and baked with micro greens and prickly pear jam. Then a squash and pumpkin bisque with fried sage. Then a game hen quarter confit (rich!) over handmade pasta. Next a tea brined pork loin with purple potatoes. Last a trio of desserts. Check total of $45 for all of that and the wines. Super affordable but a treat for sure. I hope Bouche stays around and keeps experimenting with fresh ingredients and perfecting recipes. Check them out if you love food and want a fun meal!

Not closed but limited hours and space. Make a reservation! Food is amazing and changes daily depending on what is available at the local farmer's market. You can't go wrong with anything you order but read the chalkboard before you sit. From the bread and butter amazing butter to the thick cut entres. Super great.

Best ribeye in ABQ, hands down. Small, quaint, and great service! Everything is fresh and made the same day. The menu changes daily as well. We'll be going back often :)

This is by far one of the best places I have eaten at ever. If there was an option for 6 stars I would give it to them. Tonight I had the ribeye again this time it was with rapini and sweet potatoes topped a black cherry Demi glaze. smoking gran masala on the side...stooopid good I with I had another stomach to put one in

This place was a little difficult to find as it is tucked into a corner of the complex. Very intimate, no frills setting. Food is clean-tasting and healthy! I had the pork medallions which had a pleasing smokiness to them! The cheese plate had unique flavors which were enjoyable as well! The service was excellent and personable! A definite great find since I just stumbled upon it online!

Amazing. I'll say more later but please know this food was local and perfect. Cheese dish is excellent.
(5)Amanda O.
Such a fun dining experience! The cheese plate is insanely delicious with a wide variety of cheese, nuts, fruits, etc. Our entrees were presented beautifully and the flavors were perfect. The only reason I didn't select 5 stars is due to the temperature of the steak and pork. They were both over cooked, but the incredible flavors still made the dishes totally enjoyable. Bouche offers a unique dining experience with fresh local foods at a very reasonable price. We'll be back for sure!

The food here is amazing. I was smiling like a fool from ear to ear and almost giddy about how delicious the food was. The wait staff was friendly and laid back. The food is local and fresh (and delicious). The menu is small and changes daily. All the food is made to order with care. I see others complained about slow service. Was this the fastest meal I've had? No. But I wouldn't want it to be. I never felt neglected. The whole experience was relaxing and laid back. Would definitely recommend. Call ahead to make a reservation if you want to sit inside

Called with little notice on a Saturday night to see if they could serve 8 of us.... Our first visit as we're always last minute and every other time we've called they were fully booked. We were in luck, however they said it would be on the patio and rain was looming. We showed up fifteen minutes later, our table was ready, and the rain had started. Luckily we brought sweaters for this late summer eve. It was really quite lovely sitting protected as the rain came and went gently for the first half of our meal. So... Menu was short with their focus as stated on local and fresh, farm to table - 3 main choices plus a vegetarian or Vegan option I don't recall... pork chop, ribeye, salmon... Soups, salads, and creative apps. We shared a delish cheese board with bread to get us started. Several of us split salads and found the portions large. The ribeye I shared was fabulous. Perfectly cooked and even shared was plenty. One side was yams... Non-yam lovers at the table were raving. We asked about the recipe as we couldn't place the flavor.... Chef showed up to explain it. Lovely. Overall, great food and experience. As stated elsewhere, this is a small place with only a few tables. Nothing fancy, however the prices very reasonable for the local, fresh, and portion size.

Have you ever had a porterhouse pork chop? Then you need to come to Bouche! The flavors are blends that no one in town can touch! The menu is a teaser and the food is divine! The only injustice a foodie can do in Albuquerque is not dine here.

Dined here for the first time last night. The food and service were wonderful and the prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

5 Star food at Outback Steak House prices! (Well, maybe a little higher than that). Chili Strip appetizer.... AMAZING! Rib Eye, perfectly cooked (Medium Rare) with grilled Brussels Sprouts.... KILLER! Pork Loin with local apples on a bed of corn relish.......SUCCULENT! All local, sustainable, ultra-fresh, Framer's Market procured. Would have loved to look at the wine list but with a CRAZY corkage fee of 7 bucks, we brought our own. Service was attentive and adorable (thank you, Caitlin!). HOMEMADE Chocolate Cake for dessert. If we didn't live in L.A., we would go back three times a week. A local legend in the making.

Amazing fresh, local food. The menu changes with the availability of local ingredients. As a former Santa Fe restaurateur, this place is worth the drive down to check it out.
(5)Zelma B.
Very small, although they now have a patio, if the weather is reasonable. Food was wonderful. My only problem with them is the menu is very small. One or maybe two appetizers, one soup, one salad, three main courses. It changes every day so you never know what you will have.
