Looking for a place to have lunch and saw the open patio which was just what we needed. By the time I figured out where to park the last spot on he patio was taken so we sat inside. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Patrons included older bikers, 20-30 somethings, and one guy in a suit. Great selection of beers you might expect from a place with 4 bars, but the bar food was fresh and carefully crafted. I had a tortilla wrapped burger huge and delicious. My wife had a smoked turkey sandwich which was tasty. Will return next time we are in town.

I like to eat great food while I drink. I like beer. I like feel good music. I'm indecisive and crave variety. I have friends who smoke. I like my neighborhood. Billy's has my back on all this.

This place is huge. They have darts and pool and a nice outdoor seating area. Drinks weren't super cheap, but they were good. I have a feeling that on the weekends this place would be super crowded, but on Thursday night it was not and we had no problem getting a drink. I wouldn't recommend for someone looking for a smaller dive bar, though.

I've been to this place a few times. It's a pretty cool, down to earth kinda place. Full Bar, plenty of Beers on Tap and friendly service. you have everything here, from business men, to bikers, to hipsters, to meat-heads, and their girlfriends maybe even grandmas' too! the food is not all that great (bar food) but the atmosphere makes up for it. they have a huge "long bar " near the front and back entrance, along with a patio area (has a bar) that has fresh air, along with the best thing about this place, the indoor smoking area (with bar) with pool tables. good vibes. typical bar. parking kinda sucks though, especially if you don't ride a motorcycle.

Four stars just because of the Tuesday 4:30-7:30 (call for exact times) Tap beer specials. They have a huge selection and $2.50 a pint for Boddingtons Pub Ale is great. Service was a little slow, but friendly. They have dart boards, pool, TVs and even a room to smoke in. Walk through the doors, they don't bite. Next time I'll have to try the food.

It doesn't get any better than this in ABQ. The best draft beer selection in town (the other night they had Green Flash IPA, Odell MST, Ska Modus Hoperandi and Rogue Dead Guy, for example), cheap specials, great food (we had burgers, sloppy joes and shrimp cocktail - yes, great shrimp cocktail at a bar) and a friendly staff who kept our glasses full. Plus, it was packed, but not too packed, on a Monday night for the NCAA basketball finals.

Great bar. Decent food. Weird atmosphere. Went on hooker night. The girls were scantily dressed -- much better looking than any Hooter's I've ever been in though. Went with regulars so we got pretty good service. Hellfire chips... be warned. Don't take them with fireball shots. Tortilla burger was passable. Amongst the many foods ate with green chili this trip. Was not even close to being the best.

I will be the bra amongst a lot of bros that approve of Billy's Long Bar. It's a cool spot though I'm not good at pin-pointing the "theme" besides what the name entails. A long bar? CHECK. Sports memorabilia? CHECK. Chicks? CHECK. Truly, Billy's core demographic are sports fanatics, locals, and even some couples in the mix. I'm told the food here is the one of the best things, if not thee best, but I've yet to judge. On this day, it was a mellow weekday afternoon, with the faint sounds of ESPN commentators in the background. Our waitress was super nice and got our 1554's in even less time. Bars tend to offer good people watching and fun times in the Burque...Billy's didn't stray far from that or four stars at all.

Billy's Long Bar has been open in Albuquerque for quite some time. I come here on and off randomly based on the party I am with; it's a nice break from the norm. Every time I have visited Billy's, I have always been carded, which is a great policy to have because of the DWI problem that New Mexico is notorious for. Just the other night I was carded twice upon entry. My only paranoia is that I don't look like my picture on my driver's license, so I have a thought in the back of my head that one of these days I'll be asked to leave. Thank goodness this hasn't happened yet. *knocking on wood* This bar is your average place with plenty to offer from local beer to mixed drinks. The party I was last with over there had anything from domestic to craft to local beers. I prefer to go out with this particular group because we just stick to beer. One of the restrooms in the back is small. I took a picture of it for you to verify. But, hey, it's a toilet conveniently open for those located towards the south side of the building. The restrooms in the front are larger. See for yourself when you go. Still speaking of my last visit: my people agreed to meet here based on the recommendation of my friend who is a bartender. He usually knows other bartenders around the area, and if he doesn't, at least he knows the etiquette. I'll even say, "The reason why he is paying with so many ones is that he is a server too." The waitresses usually joke around and asks, "You mean he isn't getting all of these from stripping?" I will continue to joke by saying, "He gets them from doing that too." We all laugh. It's a great thing Billy's servers can laugh because I have been to other establishments where the help is sort of unfriendly. I think it's best to serve others who are in the industry because we all know what it is like being in the trenches. I will continue to visit Billy's Long Bar like an on and off again bromance because I have always received good service here. Every time I have visited the place is always clean. It's been years since I've eaten here, so one of these days I will have to stop in for an appetizer. Good job, Billy's! Until next time!

Worst place to have a drink with a group of friends! First we were approached by a rude and very unhappy looking male employee. The waitress was ok until we wanted to move from the table to the pool table area. She informed us that we need to close our tab. As we were trying to figure out the splitting of the check, she strongly voiced her opinion that she deserved a large tip. Her service was not superior. Food and drink are great however the experience was the worst. never returning.

As a craft beer lover that travels, Billy's is a great late night spot for me. Full menu till midnight then fried food after that. I haven't eaten much here so I can't comment to much on the food. What I have eaten has been better than expected bar food. I mean, don't come here for a filet, but a burger and hellfire chips are damn good. Speaking of... great chips. They have a ton of beers on tap (83 I think she said) and plenty in bottles. I try and drink the local craft brews since I'm not from here and I'm never dissatisfied. I gave it two $$ because I can never get out of here for less that $20. Too many good beers to pass up to get out of here cheap. Service is great and always with a beautiful smile. Damn good place with damn good beers.

*Edited my review * went back two more times and service was great bartenders friendly and food including the new breaded wings were really good..changed from 2 to 4 stars *first review *I hoped for better as I just moved down the street- Took a while to get served- We sat at bar.. Bartenders were busy talking.. Beer was nice and cold- Ordered Salad and Wings- Salad was totally limp- Was really not appetizing.. WIngs were nothing special ( just medium hot and dry ) As the night slowed down we got more attention but I am all about first impressions- I will go back in the future and if I have a better experience I will update this review- But first impressions.. Not really excited to go back..

I like the beer selection there. My favorite waitress is Georgina. Food is good and atmosphere is where it's at! Yeah !! Good place to watch footbal.

I come to Billy's to watch sports. They are really a sorts bar, with TVs in every room. They are good about having every NFL game on, for example. Cool. Beer and drink selection is good with multiple local brews. Food is typical bar food, but tasty and a reasonable selection. Bar staff is generally nice, though sometimes a little disinterested. The ladies are very attractive... :) The place kinda has a 'motorcycle bar' feel to it, probably because of the number of motorcycles out front. But it's not scary or weird, so don't let that throw you. One of the better places in town for sports.

Not bad bar food. Went here for lunch and had the Blackened Blue burger. It was very good. The blue cheese was nice and pungent and the bacon was thick. A little over cooked though. I asked for medium rare and got medium to medium well. The nachos kicked ass and the staff was friendly and provided good service. I'll probably hit this place again soon. Cheers!

  • Kimberly B.

I love this place for the atmosphere. I've never been impressed with the wait staff, if you're a man you might like it more since they all wear their underwear to work. That said, the food is usually good, and their draft selection is unrivaled.

  • Jennine C.

This place is what I would call hit and miss. There are a couple things on the menu that are good and consistent and others that are just bad. My other complaint would be the cleanliness of the place is pretty poor.

  • Jazmine V.

One of the better places to catch the game or watch a fight and be able to still get some decent food. I've been here several times in my years in Albuquerque and I'm a fan. They have a great beer selection, decent prices, good drinks, friendly staff, and a pretty big menu. This is one of the few bars in ABQ where I can get a salad I really enjoy (fresh romaine, cucumbers, tomato, mushrooms, and grilled chicken) but I can still have a bit of junk food too (try the jalapeño poppers!!!) When they are really busy, the service is a bit iffy, but it doesn't stop me from going there.

I've been a fan of Billy's for a long time and consider it one of the 505's little gems! I love it in the summertime most, when you can sit on their covered patio and enjoy a cool beverage (preferably adult) on a hot day! I mostly come during the lunchtime hours when it's not too packed, and sometimes they have great drink/food specials. They have a diverse clientele of young and old alike, meaning it's a good spot to people watch. Service has always been pretty decent when I've been there and food isn't too bad either. They have a surprisingly large menu and I think they even serve breakfast. One of my favorite appetizers is their giant pretzel! It isn't anything special, but really tasty and comes with a side of queso.. yum! I've also heard their burgers are good too! But I'd have to admit the large selection of beer/cocktail choices keep this girl coming back time and again for the perfect happy hour spot! Cheers!

I give 4 stars cause I asked for my burrito to have nothing on top and like every other places it comes out with cheese and lettuce on top. So irritating Other then that, the woman were beautiful and service was great. I will go back again

Billy's Long Bar is the BEST local bar in Albuquerque. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is polarizing and a great place for my girlfriends and I to hang out. The staff are very friendly and make it a great place to be. Its our favorite by far... :) I highly recommend!

This place has great food! Super friendly kitchen manager took a moment to explain the daily specials in passing. Very welcoming environment as we'll. Tuesday's monte cristo special was outstanding!!!! Not greasy, nothing heavy about this light crispy treat!! The spicy raspberry dipping sauce is so perfect..... I lack the words.

Billy's has one of the best burgers in Albuquerque (as well as some other fine pub grub). They're hand-made, big, juicy, and there are lots of options for toppings. Not just "lettuce, tomato & pickles". We're talking chorizo, egg, bacon, green chile. This is the place if you want a burger and a beer. The beer selection is decent with a mix of "domestic", "import" and a few craft beers. The bar has a pretty established feel. It's dark with a fair amount of wood and random stuff on the walls. I'm not sure what it's like during the evening, but I'm guessing it's a biker crowd. During the day it's an odd assortment of folks on their lunch from work. The staff are dressed for much later in the evening, which may explain why most of the patrons are men...

Came here for a friend's birthday party, and it was awesome. Great staff, and more than enough space to accommodate a large group. Lots of beers, and more than a few bars. Great atmosphere for sports.

  • Clayton A.

The beer selection here is commendable so I really have to give this place some credit for that. Plus, the way they're organized by style on the long menu is helpful. I'd definitely come back just to see what gems I might find here that other bars don't have. As for the atmosphere, the place is pretty dark, which would be cool if it was a more elegant, lounge-like setting, but this place goes more for a trashy Hooter's type vibe. The bartenders all seemed to be scantily-clad women, which certainly wasn't doing any damage to my eyes, but also means you're getting shoddier service. Bottom line is that these young ladies weren't hired for their personality and friendliness. The tvs with sports I did appreciate, although on a Friday post-work, I'd much rather have a dj spinning some hot fiyah, but ay, I guess I'm in the minority there since I've yet to visit a bar with a good music arrangement at ANY time of day here in Burque. Again, I'd return for the beer selection, but that's about it.

Great bar. Love the pool tables, three different areas that you can sit in. Our bartender Jennifer was awesome and we will absolutely be back because of her outstanding customer service. They have TV's everywhere with a variety of shows on them. The Tacos on Saturday nights are great as well as their wings. They have a great selection of beers on tap.

Just had a horrible experience here, will never go back. We ordered two drinks, chips and salsa, and an appetizer combo plate all when the waitress first came to our table. We got the drinks and the chips fairly promptly, but then the waitress didn't come back for at least 30 minutes. I ordered another beer figuring the other app was taking a long time because it was busy. Another 10 minutes went by so I flagged down the waitress and asked her about the app combo. She just said oh sorry I forgot. Another waitress brought the plate about 15 minutes later. I told her that our waitress sucked and she apologized. This is when it went from bad to horrible. The guy at the table behind us starts telling me off for what I said about the waitress. I don't know if he was related to her or what. He started threatening me and my wife, finally the bouncers came over and took him away. Then the manager says he should kick us out to even though I didn't even participate in the argument with this guy. We will never go back.

Pretty huge beer selection, unfortunately none of which I like or drink, but it's a HUGE list. I ended up ordering a house margarita since I felt kinda rushed. We came in on a busy friday after work "happy hour" for a birthday. It was VERY busy and only about 4 waitresses running around. So I can understand why they need you to make your decision quickly. 1/2 off Happy Hour appitizer specials was very nice. We ordered the sampler of fried mushroom, zucchini, and cheese sticks. Pretty basic, cheese sticks are about the size of fat fingers and the zucchini was pretty tasty and not over breaded. For $4.25, I thought it was a good deal. Margarita was pretty strong, cheap tequila taste, but it was the "house" drink. I'll probably go back if I need to meet up for Happy Hour, but not really a place I'd make an effort to go hang out at.

Such a cool, well maintained bar! Amazing selection of beers, delicious food, and great atmosphere. However, being my second visit the service is horrible. I had brought a large group of friends to check out the bar and was completely embarrassed by how slow the service was. We had about 5 people come in, and it took her over 25 minutes to come back to our table! I'm not exactly sure it was our waitresses fault because she not only seemed to be waiting every table by the long bar, but also seemed to be pouring all the drinks. Finally after going up to the bar twice (the first time I was just told "she's making her way back to our table") to ask for someone to come take our order we got service. Such an awesome bar, but c'mon put some thought into the service experience!

  • Tofu D.

I love their draft beer selections, as they have about 70 beers on draft. I came during Happy Hour, which was from 5-7pm, I think, which gave half off appetizers and a lower rate on drinks. The service was okay, since there was only 2 waitresses for the whole place, which at the time had about 30 or more individuals, they tended to me well at the bar. But, when we moved to a table, it took a while for them to come to us. Then there was a shift change and we didn't see anyone afterwards, so when I wanted to order something I just hunted down a waitress and told her that we needed to order drinks and food. I didn't eat, so I won't be mentioning food, but one of my colleagues said that the buffalo wings didn't please him. But, I don't know his taste, so I won't comment on that.

    (3)
  • Amanda H.

This place is really cool! There are SO many beers on draft and they offer great specials. We watched the football game on a Sunday and they had an all day special of $2 drafts and $4 beer and brat (which was shock top on that particular day). I ordered the nachos which were pretty freaking good (I am a nacho freak) and had a few beers. As my tip mentions, the servers all share tips at the end of the day, so everyone helps your table which improves the service compared to other sports bars. I'm pretty sure it's only 21 and over, so no kiddos allowed. A couple more people joined my party mid-meal and the manager was super accommodating with changing tables. Great experience!

Lots of beer choices, full bar, strong drinks, funky and highly diverse clientele, decent bar food for a long drinking session or a day of football watching. Oh, and a pretty hot and eclectic group of mostly female staff. If you don't like those things.......

The food is of the bar variety, but a full step up from your typical place. Lots of TVs, a huge beer selection and waitresses with assets worth flaunting. It looks rougher from the outside than it is, it's pretty chill.

  • Tod N.

Service was slow. We started ordering 2 beers at a time because of the slow service.

  • Ryon B.

Another place I've been going off and on for years. This place is really three different bars, the long bar inside is the best place to sit if you go for their selection of pints (which I know is big but since I sit on the patio here I don't see it often enough to tell you what they have), the room with the pool tables is called Hellfire or something dumb. Then their semi enclosed patio, I spend most of my time out there. So the "long bar" lots of regulars usually 40-50s at the bar it's set up in a weird way that makes it hard to mingle or gather around with your buddies. Not a standing bar. The hellfire/pool table bar has the bikers/kind of creepy guys in it. I wouldn't recommend bringing a chick here to play pool. The patio is where I usually go, they sell cigars here so I'll get one and hang out on the patio. Now the parking lot here screams STEAL MY CARRRRRRRRRRRRR, which using the good old crime map you can see happens here from time to time. And since I'm a responsible kind of bar fly I frequently leave my car places. It's very rare for me to be in this bar for more than an hour or two but when I've arranged a ride ahead of time and closed it out everyone seemed friendly enough, but there did seem to be a high level of creepy guy factor, not sure if this is due to the proximity to hooters and TDs or that they have bikini nights but just something to be aware of. (Funny enough read some of the comments from other reviews regarding the staff)

This place is what I would call hit and miss. There are a couple things on the menu that are good and consistent and others that are just bad. My other complaint would be the cleanliness of the place is pretty poor.

Service was slow and our waitress was rude. She tried to close our table out before we even got to order food.

I love this place for the atmosphere. I've never been impressed with the wait staff, if you're a man you might like it more since they all wear their underwear to work. That said, the food is usually good, and their draft selection is unrivaled.
