Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I have never had such authentic, delicious and "scrumptious" food. Ever! I could rave about this place forever and ever. But, I'll keep it short and sweet. The folks who own it are nice. The cuisine is amazing. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. Oh and prices, are extremely reasonable.

A.T.C. is what I would call a New Mexican cafe. There are virtually no aesthetics...white walls, basic table and chairs, etc. The good: the service was acceptable...nothing special. There was a little bit of a "discussion" between a server and a cook over one order but it wasn't a big issue. We received food fairly quickly and our glasses were replenished often. The bad: I thought the food was ok. My wife and I had the combination plate. The tamale was pretty good but the cheese enchilada had a soggy (from grease) corn tortilla as did my taco. I don't think the grease was hot enough. I think the biggest disappointment was the flavor of the chili...it didn't have a lot. One other thing is our kids had burritos but all of the flour tortillas were dry and hard. None of them ate their entire meal. We actually had to get them a snack afterward. This place is close to our home so I was really hopeful. I might give it another try when I am by myself but I have to give it a poor rating this time.

This is one of my favorite New Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque!! It is clean and the food is great. The servers are also very attentive. Definitely try one of the pork tamales!!

Simple clean delicious New Mexican food. This is an establishment of quality. While their atmosphere is a little underwhelming, their food recalls old world NM charm and family like no other.

Great service, great AUTHENTIC New Mexican food, perfect portions at perfect prices. I would say just like my Grammies cooking however she's always the best but a close second so maybe home cooking just like your favorite Auntie makes.

I love the burritos here. It's all I've had but I've had them many times over the years. My husband always likes the ground beef burrito with cheese and beans and red chile. I like the sausage breakfast burrito with cheese and red chile. I'll try something else....one day :). I think these are possibly the best breakfast burritos in Albuquerque!!

The "Spicy Cheese Dip" was out of this world!!! I wanted more and more, lol. In addition to the cheese dip, the red chili chicken enchiladas were delicious. I was fascinated by the way the waitress remembered two complicated orders perfectly without having to write them down. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for that real, homemade authentic mexican food that hits the spot. We will be making this restaurant one of our favorites from now on!!

I've only ever had the burrito bar at this place, but they are fantastic, as you get to specify the ingredients. Bonus: Real red and green chile and no black beans.
