Wow! I'm speechless. Breakfast burger with Kobe beef (cooked medium), truffle fries, and a Bars of Zin shake - best meal I've ever had! Being from Chicago I'm a certified foodie and very picky. I've had some of the best burgers the U.S. offers and this has to be at the top. I can't see myself getting a burger anywhere else after eating one here. Couple it with the truffle fries - that aren't oily at all like most truffle fries and completing it with a shake that tastes like Nutella- sets it off. Salty and sweet! If you don't visit this place you are truly doing yourself a disservice. I sat at the bar and had phenomenal service with attentive and knowledgable staff to guide me in the direction of what to order too. Five star experience all around. I will be returning for my next cheat meal for sure!

This was my first time at this location, and I love it just as much as the Clifton location. This time around I got the burger of the week. They cook it to perfection- it just melts in your mouth. The phantastic burger had a nice combo of onions, peppers, and pepporoni... Really good. The zucchini fries were awesome! The truffle fries are always a hit- I do wish they were cut a little bigger.. This place is great!

I like Zinburger although, in all honesty, I've never had one of their hamburgers. I have, however, had their chili which is quite good and their bacon Bloody Mary which is beyond good. I mean, it's a thick strip of bacon stuck in a Bloody Mary. What could possibly be any better? They do, however, deserve a couple of deductions, one which may sound silly and another which may not. Their floor is very slippery. No idea who chose the wood veneer but several times during the night I saw people struggle to maintain their balance walking to and from the bathroom. I would, therefore, STRONGLY recommend that elderly or those people with mobility issues stay away. Second, the kitchen does seem to make frequent mistakes. My friend's burger which she ordered well-done came out pink and I observed several other people sending their food back for reasons unbeknownst to me. That said, on the strength of their Bacon Bloody Mary alone, I will gladly return. While shopping at the GSP, I think this will replace Joe's as my go to place for a quick bite and a drink. Also to their credit, they have the congenial text app which updates you as to your position on line as well as alerts you when your table is ready. Definitely worth a try but please make sure your shoes are dry or you might end up on your ass.

Some experiences here have been better than others and definitely on Wednesdays for 1/2 price bottles. Good deal. I think the truffle fries are slacking, and if you're ordering the zucchini fries make sure to order them crispy otherwise they are often soggy. I enjoyed their turkey burger moreso than many other burger joints and I also like making my own. Nothing has ever tasted bad and the service is always good. Sometimes menu items just don't scream for attention.

We went 7/26/15. There were 7 adults and one child. Put in our name and were told 10 minutes. Checked after 15 minutes and they said a little while longer. Checked after 25 minutes and they said the only table large enough to fit us was occupied by people that finished eating but we're talking. They said that they would not push tables together because of fire restrictions. I was looking at empty tables with about a foot of space between them. After waiting 45 minutes we saw about 8 groups of 6 people walk right in and get seated so I asked to see the manager. I walked into the restaurant and saw the hostess speak to a male Asian guy in a black shirt. He made gestures like he wouldn't talk to me and the hostess looked frustrated. I walked over and asked what was going on. I also noticed that there was a table of about 10 that walked in 30 minutes after us. The manager said they called ahead. They finally said they could push 2 tables together for us and seat 6. I reminded them again we had 8 people. Keep in mind that this whole time the place was busy but not packed. There were always empty tables and no wait. After sitting 8 of us at a table for 6 a nice female manager came over and apologized profusely for the issues. She then slide another table over so we could not be cramped. Then she said she would give us a free pie. The waitress was awesome and cute too which is a bonus. Service stayed good on wait staff and hostess level. The female manager also kept checking on us. They took our order and the food came out in about 15 minutes. They messed up my burger but I told them and ate it anyway because I didn't want to wait longer. I had the double with loaded fries. My burger was ok but so greasy that the bottom bun was soaked and falling apart. It was like smash burger but cost more and takes longer. The loaded fries were awesome. While eating my group noticed that the table of 10 that had "called ahead" seemed to be friends with the male Asian manager. Maybe that is why they got seated. We will never know. Probably why he tried to avoid talking to me and the female manager was so eager to please us. I asked the waitress to skip the pie and give us a discount instead. They took money off the bill and removed my burger. All in all it wasn't worth the hassle and time. 7/31/15- Went today and had a build your own Kobe style burger with cheddar, bacon, and braised onions. It was good and the service was better. Still think you get the same thing at smash burger for less money and hassle and it is by far not the best burger I have ever had. On a side note, due to the previous experience, I called ahead but was told that they do not have reservations or call ahead seating if any kind. I guess the Asian male manager lied about that too.

Had a quick lunch here before shopping... Arrived starving! I ordered a "zinburger" but substituted the beef with turkey... It was delicious!! Order the truffle fries... Large portions (enough for two people to share)! Service was great. The server was very accommodating and thoughtful not to forget specific requests, making the "quick stop for lunch" all the more positive!!! Will definitely be back for a longer visit with a few glasses, and hopefully, with room to give dessert a try as well!

Delicious !! I am a huge fan of testing out the local burger game since there is so much competition around here. Zinburger is one of my top 3 favorites. The burgers are that good! Last time I was here, I ordered the Breakfast Burger which has a fried egg, apple wood smoked bacon, avocado, american cheese & mayo on it. I always get my burger done medium-rare. It was cooked perfectly with lots of pink inside. I also added the kobe beef option because it tastes 10x more amazing (worth the $5 extra!). For sides, their onion rings are spectacular... i love onion rings. Their regular fries are very good as well. This is a great place to get a few drinks and a burger and enjoy a nice meal. It is located in the mall so, unless you are into people watching, I would sit in the dining room area. YUM.

Came here on a Sunday with a big group. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They have a pretty sweet happy hour deal: 1/2 priced bottles, 1/2 priced sides (like their many fries options, but not all), and $5 burgers. I got the ringer burger, which was cooked perfectly to my liking. The burger was juicy and pretty good. I really like their fries here. We ordered the loaded fries, sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and zucchini fries (I think that's all the options available!). I liked them all! The loaded fries were topped with cheesy, bacon-y goodness. The fries themselves were thin and crisp. The truffle fries had a nice truffle flavor with a punch from the cheese. The zucchini fries were thicker cut and breaded, but I liked that they weren't soggy. The sweet potato fries were pretty standard. I also shared a milkshake with a friend. They even brought our milkshakes out in smaller glasses so we each could have one glass. We got the bar of zin shake, which was really good, but was so sweet it probably could give you a cavity! If you have a major sweet tooth then this is for you. With a wonderful atmosphere, great staff, and awesome happy hour prices, I will definitely be back again!

I hate malls. I still do. But I can definitely open an exception in order to hit Zinburger at the Westfield Garden State Plaza. This place is great and I can definitely say that I had one of the best burgers of North Jersey this night. The service seems great - great reception at the entrance, and amazing service at the table. The waitress, Kaitlyn, was extremely friendly, helpful and active - she was able to be there all the time without being invasive. A+! The burger... I have no words to describe it! Ok, maybe it's because I'm not native English speaker... but anyway... this Philly burger was just amazing. Fresh ground Angus Beef patty, mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, American cheese, roasted red bell peppers, wild mushrooms and grilled onion - what a combo! The patty was rare, just the way I ordered. The whole burger was so juicy and moist that I had to finish it with knife and fork. Soft buns, well seasoned patty, this burger was perfect. The only issue is... the burger ends. And that's sad. Why to spend $8 dollars in Taco Bell if you can spend $10-15 at Zinburger? Really, it makes no sense. Nothing against Taco Bell... but man, that burger was good! I'll definitely be going back asap to try other burgers. And I don't even care about hitting the mall once more.

It's time for another round of The good, the bad, and the.... No wait, it's all good. Mostly, anyway. Zinburger seems to be a small chain. Not very busy... On a Saturday night we got right in. I suppose most folks at the mall were headed to the movies? The noise level was good. The music wasn't so loud, so my gf and I could actually, what's that word? Talk? Brilliant. I will say that one song came on that was bass heavy, and the buzzing from the speakers was not cool. Menu is a little weird, font sizes all over the place. Looks like a typesetter got drunk and went wild. But that's OK. We figured it out. Our server was very friendly, quick, and on top of things. Also, a manager checked in on us later, which was a nice touch. 5 stars for service. The food was very good! We had truffle fries and burgers. I was a little weirded out by the fries coming out earlier than the burger. Lucky we're not voracious eaters. When the burgers came out, the plates were half empty. One burger, three lonely pickle slices. Thankfully we had fries left. The burgers were exactly as ordered. Even though they were well done, they were still juicy. Very tasty. One thing that put me off, just a bit. The seating feels like a cafeteria, rather than a restaurant. This place would benefit from some big, comfy, booths. All in all, for a place in the mall, it was very good. I would definitely eat here again. 4 solid stars.

Zinburger was great! The burgers are good sized and very tasty. We got the el Diablo. It was spicy as expected and delicious. We also shared an order of the kale salad. Appreciated that it wasn't drenched in dressing. Got a glass of wine....a little bit of a stingy poor, but it was sufficient. All in all a great experience.

The $6 brunch burger on Sundays is so filling and a great value. A juicy burger, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, fried egg, and two large strips of bacon. The half off the truffle fries and zucchini fries is great too ($3 on Sundays). Both fries were delicious. The banana cream pie ($5) is sweet and creamy and a wonderful light ending to a decadent meal. It's huge too -- enough for 3-4 people. If you want to save money, go on Sundays. And if you have a child, the $7 kids meal is a good deal because you can share the fries that come with the kids burger. Kids also get a soft drink with the meal and for $2 more a small shake (if you get both the shake and the drink it's $4).

I wish I could give this place 5 stars - friendly staff + delicious zinburger & truffle fries. Points deducted bcos the waitress forgot lemon w out water (even though she repeated it twice while taking our order.) I had a 25% coupon for 4TH of July, showed it while ordering, & the service slowly went downhill from there. My friend & I were still CLEARLY working on our truffle fries (like 3/4 was left) when the waitress asked "would you like to order anything else? (No) I'll be back w the check." We felt rushed. Not coming back here for awhile..

I'm going to have to vote Zinburger as my favorite, local burger and fries (specifically the truffle fries) across ALL burger categories. The burgers and fries are THAT good. In fact I find myself searching other non-five-star reviews trying to figure out what people are whining about. I see things like "the burger was bland" Or "I asked for ketchup twice" ...Really? In my opinion these people sound ridiculous. Order your burger seasoned and perhaps have a little more patience; in the end your food will be worth it. The Food: Zinburger always manages to cook my burger as ordered to perfection (in my case medium rare). Although I am a classic burger kind-of-guy I typically order the 'Zinburger' as they designed it, with zinfandel onions on the buttery brioche bun, with their sauce and it is excellent... Damn near perfection! Upgrade your burger to 'Kobe' style, definitely worth it. The hand cut truffle fries are seasoned perfectly with truffle oil, and topped with Parmesan cheese. If fact my mouth is watering right now just thinking about It. Pair the above two menu items with one of their perfect milkshakes with salted caramel and you would be hard-pressed to find anything better in the over-saturated gourmet burger category. Service: Could be better at their new Garden State Plaza location. At time it can be slow. On multiple occasions I have had the fries come out 15-20 minutes before the burger, so if you are the type that would prefer everything at once, make sure you specify that ahead of time to your server. If you are looking for an all around 5-star food/service experience i would take the 20 minute drive over to their Clifton location. I'm all about the BURGER quality, so I refuse to ding them a star for inconsistent service. If I have to wait a few extra minutes because they are busy serving plates of perfection to their customers, so be it! 5-stars. My #1 choice for a local, premium burger! After writing this I think i am going to go to Zinburger for dinner tonight!.

I love the concept of gourmet quality burgers with wine. Although, they do have some good deals on wine on certain days, such as Wednesdays and Sundays, I just didn't see them having a great wine list overall. I was not impressed by their onion rings either. But they got a some decent beers on tap, but limited to Dog Fish IPA 60, Blue Moon, and about 2-3 craft beers. Overall, I loved the layout the place. They had a bar seating section to the left, and a restaurant seating section to right. The burger beef patty I had was simple and delicious enough that you don't need extra add-ons to make it taste better.

Yes your fries and burger arrive at different times but staff so apologetic and nice. Other than the Parmesan fries being very oily The food was tasty and good so I'd come back and give them another chance.

I've been back 3 additional times since I first reviewed it. It's consistently good and each time I want to try something new but I keep ordering the breakfast burger. The zucchini fries are delish. Wednesdays are 1/2 off bottles of wine! It was the perfect - my gf and I killed a bottle of wine and then wandered to the AMC to catch a movie and wear off our buzz before going home. haha Sundays are 1/2 off sides, 1/2 off wine bottles and $5 burgers. Definitely need to go on a Sunday because while the food is good, burgers and wine add up the tab. The last dinner (on a Wed with 1/2 off wine) was still $40 pp. (2 burgers, 1 bottle wine, 2 sides and a dessert)

Another great time and great burgers. Had the Greek special, ,Blanco, regular, and a spicy one I do not recall the name of. The burgers all came out cooked as ordered and all of them excellent flavors. We will be back, and the servers are to say the least, spot on!

This place is my favorite restaurant hands down. Not because it serves burgers, but because of elegance& flavor. The take a burger joint to a fine dining level. I have never had such fresh meat in my life. The sides are what I over consume each time I visit. Truffle fries are absolutely amazing. EVERY single burger tastes amazing. You can't go wrong with picking "the wrong choice". Even the veggie burger is excellent. Shakes, salads, etc all very favorable and great. I always recommend this place.

My second visit here - interesting experiences both times. Food: the burgers are generally less cooked than what was ordered. The special burger of the day had crab meat in it! Woo hoo! The loaded fries were very impressive and actually fed us both. Drinks are priced reasonably and the beer was very, very cold. Service: the servers here are all quite well trained and friendly. Venue: appears clean, though the restroom could use a more thorough cleaning. The place must be employing some odd marking strategy. Not all the tables were filled, yet everyone was made to wait about twenty minutes for a table. I never understood this - this is uniquely American. Artificial scarcity only works if customers are unable to see that many tables are unoccupied. Additionally, many of the female servers wear white shorts or brown skirts, even in the winter. Bona Fide Occupational Qualification ("BFOQ")? Hmmm...

Another burger chain but with delicious fries. Order any of the fries and you won't be disappointed. My favorite is the truffle fries and the sweet potato fries with yogurt dip. As for the burgers, these take forever to come out and are okay. The bun becomes soggy quickly so it'll break apart and melt into your fingers as you're eating it. The flavors aren't really in the burger as much as the fries have its own flavors but it's delicious nonetheless because of the nurse's juiciness. I highly recommend getting a shake though. This and the fries will make your visit so worth it. Shakes are all delicious expecially the seasonal ones like gingerbread.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the burgers here. If you are a person who likes your meat cooked relatively on the under cooked side (i like mine medium rare) and for the most part when you go to chain places they never cook it right. Zinburger did just that a nice medium rare burger. On top of that the sides that they had here were good. I got myself some zucchini fries and they were delicious. On top of that they do have a great wine selection (as you could imagine) and an above average beer selection which was good. This was a cheap, filling, and tasty dinner.

Oh my gooooodness! I have been passing the Zinburger over on Rt. 3 for years and have always wanted to go. I finally made it to this one, located inside the Garden State Plaza. Our waitress was very bright, cheerful, & helpful. We couldn't decide whether to go for wine or shakes, and she told us that the shakes are big enough to share and asked us if we wanted to sample the special wine - we did both. The Bars of Zin shake that we shared was incredible and we ended up ordering the wine that we sampled - it was my first time drinking Zinfandel, but I thought it was appropriate for the place. What was inappropriate: all of the cows on the walls! I felt so guilty eating a burger and actually contemplated becoming a pescetarian (i couldn't be vegetarian or i would stave to death)! My bf got the Ahi Tuna Burger and I got the Special (Kobe beef with avocado, bacon, mayo, & lettuce). My bf enjoyed his burger, but was surprised to find out that it isn't 1 big piece of fish, but a bunch of small pieces. I tasted his and thought that it was overpowered by the bread. On the other hand, I loooved my special burger. I ordered it Medium Rare and the waitress explained to me how it would come out. It was VERY juicy and perfect for my taste. I would recommend to those of you who like your meat more cooked to be conservative when you order. We also got sweet potato fries on the side and they were really good - very skinny, but tasty. The yogurt dipping sauce was delicious as well. Our bill came out to $65 - without the 2 glasses of wine, it would have been $45. A little pricey for burgers and fries, but they have a ton of happy hour specials on Wednesdays and Sundays. Next time I crave a burger and shake I will wait until one of those days to get more of a bang for my buck.

Ok I go here whenever I want to feel like I have social skills. The staff is friendly and oddly attractive (seriously no one that works here is ugly, they must keep them in the back like Ronnie Spector). I mean, for me at least, sometimes it almost feels as uncomfortable as telling your paraplegic daughter that she can't become a ballerina. The staff is that outgoing and friendly. They are always trying new ideas with the burgers and shakes. The beer selection is pretty average though they do bring in some craft brews sometimes. Though their wine selection is pretty good (this must be a hit with the housewives who want to feel like their husbands still love them). My one gripe, though this could just be dependent on the who is working at the time, too much carbonated water in the Tom Collins. It felt like I was drinking Seltzer with a touch of Recovering Alcoholic. TL;DR: Check it out if you're in the area and need a quick bite coupled with a reality check.

Great check-in system. You leave your cell phone number and they will text you when your table is ready. We were seated promptly for dinner. However we weren't greeted by our waiter until maybe 10 minutes after being seated. One of his coworkers stopped by to let us know that he will be with us shortly but she ended up taking our orders. That was good team work. I ordered the diablo burger, which was the burger plus pepper jack cheese, jalapeños and chipotle mayo. I also got a side of onion rings, which were excellent. I loved the breeding and it reminded me of the kind you would find on White Castle onion rings. Our server was okay. He definitely needed some additional training. I wasn't sure if he was just too busy doing side work or just chatting with his coworkers or we just happened to be seated while he was on break.... Service was lack luster. We kept getting served by other team members. I would only come back if I were in the mood for a burger and only if I was at the mall and needed to get something quick.

Delicious burgers and an extensive collection of shakes! This is not your run-of-the-mill burger joint: They grind their own burger meat and it is packed with flavor, firing on all cylinders. If you need an umami fix and don't want to pay steakhouse prices, this is your destination.

I go here on Wednesdays during happy hour. It also happens to be the half pice wine bottle day! So you get $5 burgers and $10-15 bottles of wine, and the fries are half off too. Really a great deal. The food is good, although I wouldn't want to pay full price for it.

Came in with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised with the warm interior. Although this place is at a mall you do feel like you have entered a steak house. They feature a full bar and delicious food. The service is very good and I was not able to complain about anything. My friend and I both enjoyed the food which was served perfectly and timed well also. Definetly coming back here as I do love the Paramus mall and this place is a nice get away from shopping.

Zinburger stands out among the many burger joints in Bergen County. I recommend visiting this location on Sunday, when the stores at the mall are closed - you can get a seat quickly AND they have Sunday happy hour specials all day long! I've tried the turkey burger and Zinburger, which comes with Zinfandel onions and manchego cheese. The burgers always come out as you request, and the buns are delicious as well. The zucchini fries are crispy and fresh, and come with a nice yogurt dipping sauce.

The food here is made well. Very fresh and very tasty. While they offer your classic tastes in burgers, fries, and shakes, I highly recommend exploring outside of your comfort zone. My favorite thing here: the spicy green chili fries. DO IT. I also love the Banana Royale shake! DO THAT AS WELL. Lots of options at this restaurant so I'm sure they'll have something you'll love. I was unfamiliar with this place until now; I'm visiting NJ for work... But I'm sure glad that I gave it a try.

I get hungry while shopping at this mall. It's the size of 4 football fields. And a labyrinth. Try exiting and you'll feel as if you're in a Vegas casino. Stuck inside, spending hella cash. So all I know about this place is that it has beers, burgers and fries. The burgers are messy, wet, soggy and flavorful. The truffle fries are savory and crisp. The $6 beers are cheap, considering this mall has tons of affluent shoppers from Bergen county. Okay, see ya, I gotta try and find an exit now.

Been here twice. Had the Zinburger both times. Delicious both times. Also had the double truffle fries and the Mac and cheese. Also really good. Oh, and the Oreo cookie shake is life altering. They will happily pour it into 2 glasses if you want to share. I recommend eating at the bar because the stools are comfortable, the staff is super-friendly and helpful, and it's quieter than the dining room. Note: The burgers here are far superior to Bareburger's. And don't insult this place by comparing their burgers to burgers at fast food joints like 5 Guys.

Was at the mall with my daughter and she suggested we go to Zin Burger. We ordered a Burger with Zinfandel onions , a kale and Ahi salad with a side of Mac& Cheese. To me the Mac & Cheese had no flavor , and had too much Panko thrown on top . The Burger was expertly prepared as was the Kale & Ahi salad . The prices here are higher than one would expect for a burger however the quality is higher and the price is justified .

It's an easy place to grab dinner and drinks if you happen to be at the GSP, but don't go out of your way just to come here. I had the chili burger which was pretty good. Also ordered coleslaw that tasted quite bland (even the coleslaw I buy from a corner deli still taste better). They have quite a list of drinks, angry orchard being my favorite

Came here yesterday for dinner with a friend and must say, I was a fan. Probably more than other burger places I've been to. The prices were pretty decent and although you have to get fries on the side, its good enough size to share with a friend. Ordered the "Girl Next Door" cocktail and it was a nice combination of sweet and tangy. Seems like its the kind of drink that goes down smoothly and kicks you later for having one too many. I ordered "The Ringer" medium rare and it was perfect!! The hot sauce with the bacon, onions and pepper jack cheese was such an awesome combination. We order the sweet potatoes to share, although I wish they were a bit more crispy, they weren't too bad. I would definitely come again and recommend this place to friends.

All hail the Zinburger Paramus. all hail the Zinburger Clifton. No matter where Zinburger is located you will find me there fully devoted. Okay now for the real review. I usually go to Clifton, so I decided to spice it up in Paramus and order the West Coast Chicken sandwich (Havarti Cheese, Avocado, Tomato, Lettuce, Mayo), instead of my usual burger. It was really, really delicious. I loved the juiciness of the chicken and flavors of all the toppings. It's funny how simple the ingredients are, yet it still tastes like something out of this world. We had a really great server, I wish I remembered his name!
