We LOVE the Frenchtown Cafe. It's not big and gets busy on the weekends, but it is worth the wait. The staff are always friendly and attentive. And the food. I have never had a bad meal here. Breakfast or lunch. Our favorite is Bliss (scrambled eggs with cream cheese and bacon over english muffins.) We love it so much, we named our vacation home in Maine after it. English breakfast and Swiss eggs are suitable alternatives. In fact, my wife has asked that I figure out how to make Swiss eggs at home.

Awesome food! Restaurant could be very crowded and tight knit, but the food and the unique blend on traditional breakfast food more than makes up for this minor issue. The Almond French Toast with raspberry jam is to die for: YUM!!! Great discovery; I will be back!!

Perfect for a super-early week-end breakfast! always delicious, hearty. Love the sense of community one feels at this cafe. Great service, great neighbors!

From the moment you walk in the experience is just perfect. Tasty food. My eggs were pristine, creamy orange yolks, cooked on a hot skillet. Bacon crisp. Service a+++!!

Coconut french toast. that's all I have to say. It was wonderful

One of the things I miss about living in Upper Black Eddy is heading down to Frenchtown and having Bliss for breakfast. THE BEST!

Excellent and flavorful food! Never had a bad lunch or breakfast here. The soups are always fantastic, just wish the seating wasn't so cramped at mes.

Stopped in for a late lunch and found the place to be as what others here have written. The food is very good and the staff are the friendliest and sadly that is not often the case. We expect to go back for breakfast sometime too since the menu looks awesome!

Too be perfectly honest, if you want good simple no frills breakfast this is the place to go, but coming from metro-NYC area it just doesn't really compare. It is a great cute little spot to check out though if you're in the area. However it's definitely nothing to write home about. My husband got the apple nut pancakes and I got the spinach florentine. Pancakes were powdery and the florentine was a little watery (from the spinach).

Love. Love. Best breakfast...amazing staff...friendly ambiance..and lively surroundings. Could not ask for a better way to start our day. Like coming home.

Love this place! It is my favorite breakfast, and I am willing to drive the 15 miles to get it. The food is always good (local organic eggs, yum!), the breakfast menu is extensive, staff is friendly - and so are the folks at the counter. I've mad a few friends here. It is an open, friendly place. I've introduced several friends and they have all loved it!

Great food, great service.... we would definitely come back again. Ham and Brie French toast...... fabulous! :-)

I eat here at least twice a week....everything on the menu is so good and the small town atmosphere is awesome.

Smal, quaint cafe in a small quaint town. Eggs Benedict were excellent other foods -eggs, pancakes, meats were typical breakfast fare but large portions and reasonable prices

  • Rockit G.

If you like eggs you have to try "The Bliss" this is one of there most popular entry. This is my favorite breakfast spot in the Tri-State. The service is also outstanding. They only serve breakfast until 11:00...you get here 11:01 no breakfast for you. It's also a local place and one weekends be prepared to wait...and wait. It's small inside. I almost hate to post this because the food is so good and it's already so crowded. Lunch is good but breakfast is in my book is number one.

Awesome breakfast shanty and great staff. I was passing through Frenchtown and happened across this little dinner. The waitresses were very accommodating and quick with coffee! I ordered the 'Son of a Mess.' Its a combination of eggs, sausage, bacon, onion, potatoes, and cheese all mixed into one. The ONLY thing that kept me from giving a five-star to this place is that there was hardly any bacon in my mess. There were a ton of potatoes and onion, but the best part (BACON!!!) could hardly be found! Great little place, very quaint, but just needs to bring the bacon.

Great place to grab breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Views of Delaware River are amazing, summer or winter. Food is excellent, presentation is fantastic and portions are very generous. You must try the shakes, they are some of the tastiest milk shakes I had. A must for visitors or residents.

  • Kathi S.

Went here because of all the wonderful reviews, but must say was disappointed. Probably just a one off, but our breakfast came out cold and about 15 minutes after the table next to us, which ordered at the same time. Thinking ours was done at the same time, but some how no one brought it out to us. If it's cold, at least try to warm it up! Should have complained, but it was too busy. Which shows ours was probably not the norm.

  • Amy W.

Great little place for breakast, hole in the wall, but awesome food type. Hubby had son of a mess and I had the poached eggs florentine, both were amazing! ...and they have gluten free bread which was a plus for me. If I lived in the area I would be here every Sunday.

We stopped in Frenchtown on Mother's Day for lunch -- without our moms. We decided on the Frenchtown Cafe because we figured a small place that packed with customers must be good -- and we were right. Though narrow, it is clean and not overpoweringly loud. Food was great - my friend ordered a burger that came out cooked just as ordered. I ordered a grilled roast beef on rye with boursin - meat was a bit dry but it was tasty nonetheless. If I find myself in Frenchtown again for breakfast or lunch, I will line up with the hordes again!

Crab cake sandwich is excellent. Prices are reasonable. A quaint little town cafe.

  • Denise S.

Frenchtown cafe is best place in town. Rosella and her staff are top notch. Very friendly and attentive. The food is to die for and portions are huge. Lived her a long time and tried every place in town. For breakfast and lunch it's the place to be!!!!

    (5)
  • Sam I.

Great breakfast. They have gluten free bread and can make French toast with it. Including their specialty French toast!

    (5)
  • Debbie K.

Almond French Toast. Out of this world. Anything I've ordered is very good. The portions are huge, so go hungry. Two eggs seem like 4, must be those country chicken eggs! Service is always attentive and excellent.

    (5)
  • G M.

Outstanding. Unquestionably one of the top 5 hamburgers I have ever had.. It's huge. It's obvious this is not your typical fast food frozen hamburger from who knows where. This is local farm country beef. So excited I can't wait to come back and try other things. Did I say that coffee is very good too? It is. I verified this is part of the same ownership that has the new cafe at the Sky Manor Airport in Pittstown. I went by there but it's closed on Tuesdays. So I navigated to Frenchtown where I had heard they had the cousin cafe. It was worth it. The waitress was all smiles. Only warning is Frenchtown Cafe closes at 3 p.m.

Fantastic find! Yelp were right on. Fast, efficient service by Alex. Great variety of breakfast foods. Amazing omelets and pancakes. Highly recommended!!!!!

great place to waste a morning, food was ok but the service sucks i got a hair in my omelette told the waitress who didnt belive me and made me pull it out to prove it after waiting a hour for a table, nice attitude. so i go in a week day at lunch time sit down order my steak sandwich the couple behind me get their check pay and leave the another couple sits down orders gets their food eats gets their check pays and leaves, then we get our food 1hr 15 min. wait on a week day nothing is worth that wait!!

    (1)
  • L S.

Great stuff and you get large portions of your order. I like the omelets here. I have not patronized this place much lately only because all my clothing (including handbag) smells like a bacon sandwich when I leave.

  • Matt K.

Food was amazing and Darcie O was our waitress she was very polite and kind and friendly I got a burger it was great definitely recommend this to you the viewer who reads this and wants good food and a good time I enjoyed this place a lot

  • Benjamin E.

Very good food with nice-sized portions. I got the honey fried chicken and girlfriend ordered a kielbasa-mushroom-onion omelet. Omelet was larger than what a typical diner would serve and the toppings were evenly distributed throughout the egg. The chicken was delicious--fried to the perfect point, and it came with a pickle, curly fries, and cole slaw. The cole slaw was tasty, as well. The waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I recommend for anybody traveling through Frenchtown.

  • Joselyn J.

We came here during the week of christmas. Drove all the way from Branchburg NJ to walk in frenchtown. We came across this place and stopped by for lunch without realizing they were closing soon. We had burgers which were fabulous, and our service was good. Im giving a 4 star rating because I found it rude to see a staff member putting the chairs up and speaking Spanish without knowing I could understand what they were saying. As a server myself I understand what it is to have customers walk in minutes before closing, however I never make anyone feel rushed. Overall very good food.

  • Serena R.

I came half an hour after breakfast stopped being served but saw the scrumptious looking pancakes and French toast that people were eating-it made me jealous. I always order omelets for breakfast but I was in a pancake mood this day. I begged asked them to make me a pancake but was told they didn't have enough griddle space to accommodate my request. I wanted to cry. I ordered am omelet and a side of onion rings. The home fries and onion rings were crispy and perfectly golden brown, they were unsalted, no biggie, and the omelet was delicious. They are not stingy with the omelet filings. I soaked my toast in syrup to fill the pancake craving but it didn't work.

Always good. Great service, my choice for breakfast in the lovely town of Frenchtown. Rosella the owner does a great job

  • Brooke S.

I really love Frenchtown Cafe. I've been a few times for breakfast and the food is amazing - I've had a number of things on the menu and they were all delicious. And I'm always jealous over other people's plates I see being delivered to other tables. Highly recommend if you're in Frenchtown, as I can't imagine it would disappoint.

  • Francisco S.

If you want great breakfast food at a great price, come here. I normally get my favorite the "Bliss" but there are other unique dishes to choose from. I've been coming to this place since it opened and the owner and staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. On Sunday mornings there's always a line and is usually filled with a combination of locals and people from neighboring areas. You may have to wait on a Sunday morning but never too long (the place is small). I highly recommend to stop here for breakfast if you're visiting the area.

  • Allie B.

Just ate lunch here and was very disappointed. Rotten lettuce on my club sandwich. How are you going to put lettuce that is to the point that it's slimy on a sandwich? Our waitress was nothing to rave about either. The manager seemed nice, but overall I will be choosing another restaurant the next time I come to Frenchtown.

    (1)
  • Christopher C.

Great cafe style luncheon place that has some fantastic breakfast, keep in mind that it is usually busy in the AM and be prepared to wait. But it's nice to be able to get some good Eggs Benedict and also they have a Irish breakfast of sorts on the times I was there. Good solid place with a nice atmosphere.

  • Barbra M.

This place has an awesome breakfast menu. Lots of food for a great price. Pros: bacon was cooked to perfection, good coffee, waitresses were very sweet. Cons: I wouldn't really call this a con because I love chocolate, but don't order a full order of choc chip pancakes, I only ordered one and there were too many chips.. All in all great place, very unassuming from the outside, great food and service!

    (5)
  • Felix P.

Sad that I have left the area, because my favorite breakfast dish was, bar none, Eggs Florentine.....Creamed Spinach, Poached Eggs, Pieces of crumbled bacon and cheese all broiled under the broiler....I mean...AMAZING. Granola Pancakes...also incredible...Huevos Rancheros, delish.....everything......top notch.

Close your eyes and picture a small town eatery where after 2 visits the wait staff knows your name, puts your preferred beverage - tea, coffee or cola - on the table without asking and, smiling, asks, how's everything. Open your eyes and you'll be in the Frenchtown Cafe. I've visited a few times with a friend - a local - and as he walks down the long center aisle, patrons say hello and the very attractive waitresses (not being sexist, just honest) start making his cup of hot tea so it's ready when he sits down. The bread is fresh and local as are many of the produce and meat selections. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food, well prepared and flavorful. Yesterday, I had a Caesar salad with chicken and the lettuce was fresh, cold and crispy. The chicken was grilled and seasoned well with a light coating of dressing on top. It was a perfect portion for a healthy lunch. My find, who says he always tries the specials, had an Italian sandwich on a hunk of crusty fresh bread. He pronounced it very good. We were joined by my friend's dad. He had a Ruben - a massive sandwich that he cut in half and took the uneaten portion home for dinner. Frenchtown is one of those artsy fartsy towns that dot the Delaware river. Lots to see and do - a good Sunday first date place for that maybe-someone-special you met online. You would be hard pressed to find a more congenial spot to eat, chat and get to know each other than the Frenchtown Cafe. If you're not on a date, it's also a neat little place for a good lunch with friends. Recommended

  • Kitty S.

Quite a disappointment seeing all the stars and a long wait to get seated. Yes, the variety is a big plus, but the quality of the food was nothing special. My egg florentine was watery and the home fries tasted no better than those out from a freezer bag. Pricing was reasonable but the portion was small. I couldn't believe how small a large orange juice was and can't imagine what a small offering would have.

  • Sam B.

If I had to sum up my many experiences at the Frenchtown Cafe in just one sentence, it would be this. "This is what upscale diner food would be like if the execution were consistently perfect."

    (5)
  • JB A.

We love it here. I've had the veggie pattie bigger and the grilled portobello sandwich. Both were phenomenal! My date has had the same salad on both visits and loved it each time. I forget what it was called but had Brie, crisp apple, and raspberry dressing. Service is attentive and friendly! Love the atmosphere here and the music!

This quaint establishment is a cozy little place that just brings you back to a time when life was simpler and breakfast was more than just a meal but a time to sit down and talk with family and friends. Their breakfast lineup is awesome... They have great french toast & pancakes, their omelets are awesome, and their speciality dishes are killer (The mess and the Son of the mess!). More importantly, The coffee is hot and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. A solid 4 star establishment in the heart of Frenchtown... Enjoy!

  • Emberlynn K.

I have never been dissapointed with a meal here, the wait staff is always pleasant and cheery, dispite the huge amount of people and noise they endure. The wizards in the kitchen have somehow whipped up the absolute best black beans I have ever tasted, and the soups are the best in town! Whenever I crave a burger, the burger I always crave is their Cajun Burger, There is nothing like it anywhere else in town, and I am a burger buff. The only thing I wish is that they were open a little later, so that if I crave that burger for dinner, I can still get it!! The atmosphere is wonderful, the tables are plastered with old pictures of Frenchtown, and old newspaper clippings from the town. I wish I could eat here every day.

Huge portions and great food. Had the eggs Benedict which was excellent. Wife and everyone else ordered omelette which they could not finish so I helped. Prices were quite cheap considering the size of the breakfast entrees. Highly recommended.

My coworkers are anxiously awaiting this review. The restaurant says it's "loved on Yelp." I don't want to disappoint either of them! This was going to be a four-star review... I got a kielbasa-mushroom-port wine cheddar omelette for lunch, my coworkers got a wrap and a black bean burger. The omelette wasn't huge, but there was quite a lot of meat in there. I like the selection of available add-ins, and I'm sure there are other custom ones not listed. The wrap didn't look too big either, but the black bean burger was swimming in beans. (I leave it up to the eater whether that's good or bad.) It was solid food with quick service, but nothing that would "wow" me. Then came dessert. In most places, after lunch, they either ask "Are you thinking of any dessert today?" or just hand you the bill, assuming people don't eat lunch dessert. Here at the Cafe, they said "Here's what we have for dessert, what would you like?" There's a reason they do that. Here were the selections (as best I recall): * Napoleons: huge, and topped with fresh fruit * Peach cobbler: a basin of peaches swimming under homemade crust * Turtle icebox pie: Layers of pudding-type filling, crunchy something, and a chocolate topping. One of my coworkers got this. It filled his plate. * Gigantic cookies of some sort * Raspberry pie. It looked like there were 3-4 slices of raspberry pie left, but the waitress said there were just two, so my other coworker and I snapped them up. Not only were there ample portions of fresh raspberries, but each plate was finished off with a generous serving of homemade whipped cream. I could taste that the crust was made from scratch, as well. This completely erased any reservations I had about coming here vs. some of the other Frenchtown offerings. If I ever eat in Frenchtown, I will recommend coming here. Maybe or maybe not for a meal, but unquestionably for dessert. I would absolutely just eat dessert for my meal.

I'm sorry that I live so close to this place and it has taken me this long to finally try it. Went on a weekday for breakfast. Place is small and nicely decorated with old local pictures. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Menu has a large selection of omelettes, pancakes, and French toast. I got the coconut French toast ( recommendation from fellow Yelper) with bacon and OJ. Everything was good. My wife got an omelette with home fries which she enjoyed. Price was appropriate for food quality and quantity. Looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu.

What you want to do is go early and get yourself ready for one of the best breakfast experiences you can have. Everything here is super sized and mostly delicious. Let's start with what works! Get the sausage! It's homemade and about the most delicious thing you have ever had. Any of the egg dishes are spectacular. Thanks to a fellow Yelper, I ordered the bacon/cream cheese eggstravaganza! It was moist delicousness on a plate. What's not that great was the much reviewed french toast. We ordered the one with coconut and cranberry. it was quite dry. Like they had not soaked it long enough. It might have been an off day but I'm reluctant to order it again when there are other things that are so tempting. Location is right around the corner from the husband of Elizabeth Gilbert (author of "Eat, Pray, Love") place for Asian treasures, Two Boots. So come make a leisurely morning out of it. Service comes with a smile and a lot of generosity. You will feel loved!

Went for a nice 96 mile round trip ride today with a stop half way in a nice little small town old style café. Small ended with the town, the cheese omelet was big and filled with the right amount cheese, great home fries and cooked to order bacon was perfect. Nice size cups of coffee and rye toast just right. Service was fantastic, never had to ask for more coffee server was always on top of it. Will stop by there again for sure.

If you want to experience old-time-y, small town cafe ambience combined with excellent food at a good value, the Frenchtown Cafe is it! Had breakfast here the other day with a friend. Service was very friendly, and my omelet arrived quickly. If the average diner owner in NJ really paid attention to customer service and quality food, this is what they might end up with. But, they wouldn't have the small town, friendly feel of this cafe, no matter what they tried. As an option with my omelet, I was able to order toast made with (good) gluten free bread. For me, this is a real treat, since 99% of the diners out there don't have GF bread (yet). The omelet I had was perfectly cooked, as was the bacon. Coffee here is strong and high quality -- not weak & watery. A smiling server will offer you more throughout your meal. They do have some nice booths for two or four, but I suggest sitting at the counter, which is made of a beautifully polished hardwood (No Formica's were harmed during the construction of this cafe). And if during your meal you see the ghost of Andy Griffith or Aunt Bea wander in, don't say I didn't warn you. This place has true "Mayberry" charm, but with delicious modern cooking. Love it!

It really is true - best burgers we've ever had! First, of course, the freshest (local!) beef topped with a perfectly ripe tomato and fresh (not wilted!) lettuce and then, of course, the fresh kaiser roll. Not mealy or doughy. Just perfect. I only eat about two cheeseburgers per year and, therefore, search for the creme de la creme... And found it! I'll be back in six months!!!

  • S S.

Some in our group hit this place 3 mornings in a row. No lines on weekdays. On the weekend there may be a wait since its small (10 booths, and a counter). Great service. The Mess is my favorite dish: a large omelette with hash browns, onions, and ham. Delicious. Generous portions, coffee is great and waitresses are quick to refill.

When I am not taking a long road trip on my Harley I like to take a run from home in Bristol Twsp up River Road and across the bridge to Frenchtown for lunch. Always at the Frenchtown Cafe. They always have something new on the menu for me to try and I am never disappointed. I love their soups. And I love the staff. The Frenchtown Cafe is an absolute jem that takes me back to a time when small family owned diners were the rule rather than the exception. My first time there was a cold day for motorcycle riding and I walked in at 2:55 pm, not noticing the 3pm closing sign on the door. Although the kitchen was closed they still welcomed me and gave me coffee and a chance to warm up. I never forgot that. They could have very well just told me they were closed. What more can I say. I love the Frenchtown Diner.

  • Brian C.

Ahh yes, the greasy spoon café that every small town USA has. The Frenchtown Café certainly fits the bill. While it's tight and compact, that's what you'd expect! Nice old town feel with lots of historical photos on the walls and tables. Friendly staff, not a long wait. Booths, counters, tables, pick your pleasure! The food was excellent and I definitely ate too much! I had a Tex Mex omlette loaded with goodness, great toast and coffee. Large portions to fill you up right. Give it a whirl!

Quaint town luncheonette arranged with booths along one wall, a long counter bar on the other and a few individual tables. Setup like a typical diner, inviting and warm with golden wood tones and cozy decor. The deli display contained a few cakes, muffins, and pastries, but it seemed store bought and not made in house. We ordered the roasted turkey sandwich on rye with Russian dressing on the side. I was disappointed by the fact that there wasn't Romaine lettuce on the sandwich, but a pile of field greens... I took them off because what I really wanted was the nice crunch of the lettuce to compliment the sandwich. Also, the Russian dressing which came in a take-out plastic container was SCARY. It was cold and molded to the container and did not even slightly resemble Russian dressing... even the waitress looked confused. The turkey itself was good and after requesting mustard and mayo and eventually making my own version of the Russian dressing with the mayo, it was fine. But I expect more from a luncheonette. I did notice a nearby table who ordered a warm turkey sandwich, that may need to be the choice for next time!

Use to go here on a regular basis for breakfast years ago then I had a few unfavorable visits. I decided to try going there again today so I stopped in for lunch, was in a burger mood all week. Happy to say the the selection was good and service was top notch. Placed an order for their Chicago Pub burger (medium) which I find the best way to judge a place's burger...then I will return later for a something a bit more rare. Was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great! Not a big deal but they forgot to give me the top of the bun...after letting the waitress know she hurried to the kitchen with no delay and returned with the top on a small plate, she was very friendly and responsive as was the rest if the staff

Things to remember : Frenchtown Cafe is busy, but they do not have separate grills for breakfast and lunch so if you wait too long to drag yourself out of bed on vacation, do not expect to get pancakes at 11:45 a.m. Things to get if you are lazy and miss the breakfast run : burger Things you should assess when trying to eat in Frenchtown : Where do the locals go? Take a peek inside anytime before 11 a.m. and you will know that you should step inside Frenchtown Cafe, get in a booth and make your order. Things to eat if you are so mad that you missed breakfast the first time that you go again the next day : coconut french toast and/or blueberry pancakes. Things to note about breakfast portions : Unless you are a competitive eater, the short stack of everything should be fine. A short stack of pancakes is two plate-sized pancakes. A short stack of french toast looks like two pieces of Texas toast jammed with your ingredient of choice. Coconut! Things to obsess about after you leave : breakfast and how good it was. Things that you may want to know : I found the service to be extremely friendly, quick and attentive. I found the food to be well-made in a typical diner type of way when it comes to lunch. When it comes to breakfast, I would eat there again and again. The prices are excellent and you will surely get your money's worth. Things that may get angry at you after your meal : your stomach. Things that may love you after your breakfast : your stomach.

Solid omelettes. I got the caprese omelette, which came with basil, sundried tomatoes, and feta. The service was prompt and courteous and the portions were great. Never going to IHOP again. Even the buttered toast was phenomenal. A bit pricey in my opinion, but definitely worth it.

One word...yum! We have only gone for breakfast so far, but we cant wait to get back for lunch! It's a tight squeeze and can get crowded, but we've only gone of hours and its been fine. We've gotten the Heuvos Rancheros, the ham and Brie French toast, the linzer tart French toast and omelettes. We have loved them all and always finished each bite. Their breakfast potatoes are crisp and yummy. I wake up dreaming of their breakfast some days. :)

Food was fabulous but service was SLOW. Also, there was a fly buzzing around our table the entire long hot wait for our food.My dish was very creative, I had never had an egg scramble with cream cheese before, and now I make it at home all the time.

The Frenchtown Cafe is a great place for simple foods at a good price. I use to go down there more often when I worked in Milford, but I still enjoy going there for lunch when I can. It can get very crowded around that time, especially if you want a booth instead of at the counter. The food is always fresh, and the service is top notch.

  • Marci A.

There's a reason for the lines out the door. Do yourself a favor and go during a week-day morning. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast staples and the small-town vibe is priceless. After a couple of visits, you'll feel like you know the waitresses and yearn to be regular who gets greeted by name.

Love it. Highly recommend breakfast. My husband and I have it twice a week. Amazing. Lots of different food combos, their home fries are the best. Mmmmm :) sweet staff too! Only best thing: very busy (a good problem to have) but sometimes hard to grab a seat.

Good food, especially breakfast, large portions, exceptional value prices. Very crowded on weekends...but seriously...that's pretty much ALL of Frenchtown on summer weekends. You have to get to Frenchtown very early on weekends to find parking in the lots, it's packed with tourists. Ambience is what I expect from a small, crowded cafe: loud. Service is friendly and quick. Just thinking about my experience is making my mouth water now...... Revisited this past week. Again, service was excellent, my coffee never went low. And the pancakes were scrumptious. My only complaint, which reduced this from 5 stars to 4: opening time is late. I already had 2 cups of coffee at home, waiting until 7 or 8 (can't remember what time they open). I know, doesn 't sound like a big deal, but on a day when I want to head out for a BIG breakfast early because I'll be working hard all day, it affects me. My advice: open at 6. I'm sure the locals like myself will love it, and you'll have many visitors stopping in just to grab a coffee.

Quite simply the best breakfast around... But shhhh don't tell anyone or the wait will be longer! Everything is fantastic - French toast, pancakes, omelets and the staff are lovely - friendly & efficient.

I love the Frenchtown Cafe! This place has an awesome breakfast menu- all of your favorites, plus a few new twists. It's easily the best breakfast in Frenchtown and frankly I think it stacks up with the Doylestown/New Hope area as well. Some stand-outs include the decadent but delicious Ham and Brie French-toast, the Huevos Rancheros and the Son of the Mess (a delicious omelet with everything but the kitchen sink). If you are from out of town, get a classic Pennsylvania breakfast/lunch meat- Pork Roll, with your Eggs-- you wont be disappointed. There are usually both breakfast and lunch specials to tempt you as well. Keep in mind that the Frenchtown Cafe gets VERY busy on weekends, and be prepared for a wait- the cafe is small, and unless you want to sit at the counter you will most probably have a 15 minute wait on weekends. Have no fear, however, there is usually a heater on the sidewalk for you to sidle up to in the winter and on occasion a waitress with come out offering coffee and tea while you wait.

I stopped in Frenchtown on my way to PA this weekend and needed to grab a bite. The Frenchtown Cafe seemed inviting so I headed in and quickly headed out after realizing it was a bit crowded (and I wasn't in the mood for diner food). I walked across the street to Minette's Candies (sweet-tooth is my GPS) and after some browsing asked Minette what her favorite food in Frenchtown was.....Frenchtown Cafe she replies. Back across the street we went and made our way to some stools at the counter. What I immediately realized is that this place is a gem. They have your basic diner staples along with Omlettes all day AND some pretty inspired comfort food. For example, we had the Harvest Salad (Organic greens w/chopped apples, walnuts, dried cranberries & fresh brie...YES, fresh brie... in a honey cranberry vinaigrette) and the Paisano Burger (Provolone Cheese, Sundried Tomatoes, Roasted Garlic & Fresh Basil Mayo - ask for the waffle fries w/ the burger) priced at $6.95 and $6.50 respectively. The cup of chicken noodle was awesome btw. Frenchtown Cafe easily gets 4 stars for food quality, value, atmosphere and menu diversity. I'll absolutely be back and will probably head across the street to Minette's for dessert the next time.

LOVE this place. On the weekends, expect to wait a bit, but it will be worth it. The owner tries to take people in and move them out as soon as she can because the place gets so busy. You really cannot go wrong with anything that you order here. Whether you want amazing french toast or an omelet, you will enjoy it! They are also very accommodating for people who have allergies. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. Omelets are served all day, but the lunch menu comes out at 11am.

Chicken noodle soup was delicious. My daughter ate all of it in under 5 min. i got a buffalo chicken sandwich. it was good. The cappuccino was not hot and tasted watered down, almost like a mix. Service was good. It was crowded, Labor Day weekend.

Best breakfast in all of frenchtown. I highly recommend the bliss. Be prepared to wait if you're going on a weekend morning. The staff does an amazing job all around, especially with trying to get people in and out without being pushy. Everything is really fresh, none of that frozen crap other places serve.

My favorite breakfast place. We travel about 45 minutes to get their breakfasts and it's always worth the trip. Their omelets are always perfectly prepared and my husband raves about their pancakes. The breakfasts are huge and very fairly priced. Be prepared to wait on weekends, but you can give them your name and stroll through the town. Cute stores and a fun consignment shop across the street.

Amazing. The only thing that's unfortunate is the wait for tables on the weekends! With that said, I've never felt rushed after I've been seated, so in my opinion it's well worth the wait!

Incredible local flavor. It's like stepping back in time when good food tasted AMAZING. Breakfast or lunch, throw a dart at the menu you can't order wrong. Worth the trip.

Husband and I stopped in for a little something while visiting Frenchtown on Bastille Day weekend. We spotted a beautiful (and huge) pastry in the dessert case, inquired if it was an apple dumpling, discovered it was, and ordered it to share. It was served warm with homemade whipped cream on the side (see photo). An entire apple, stuffed with a cinnamon filling was encased in a tender, flaky crust. It was delicious! Although that is all we ordered (plus beverages), the various salads and omelettes headed for other tables looked quite appetizing. We would most definitely stop in again when in the area.

Good food as well as gluten free bread options which pleasantly surprised me! However, the waitress we had was not attentive. We needed syrup and eventually had to ask the people sitting next to us for their's, which is no big deal but definitely a factor. The other waitresses seemed attentive and nice, perhaps ours was having an off day. I got the gluten free egg sandwich which was a basic sandwich - good but nothing spectacular. A friend got the omelette which looked great!
