You will find nothing but great people in this place. Having gone to York from Southern California for a funeral of a dear friend of mine, I had the luck to have another friend of mine take me to the Lodge. For starters, I think that York is home for the most kind and gracious people I have ever met. And at the Lodge, well......the kindness and graciousness is only accentuated. The Lodge seems to me to be the social gathering center for quite a bit of people there in York. Laughter abounds, music is always in the air and there will always be someone that will play "Dear old Nebraska U" on the jukebox. I'm an old USC fan, but every time I hear the Nebraska fight song, memories take me to the old Elks Lodge in York. Cheers to everyone there, and thank you so much for having had me there , if only for a few hours.
