When I walk in I have no idea of what to think of this place. ATM located inside this small joint, one of the tables had the manager's stuff sprawled all over it and it just didn't seem to clean. The fries (which were steak cut) were great and the gyro was fine. The price seemed a little high for the gyro combo and was very unsure of how clean the utensils were. Would I come back here again? Sure but if I was on the go and needed a gyro or really had no place to go. The place really is overall in my mind is dirty and needs air conditioning instead of an open door to the place and fans running to try to keep it circulated.

I ordered the Spanikopita today and it was awful. I don't think it had feta cheese and the spinach tasted off. It was way overpriced. The owner was a bit rude - he seemed friendly to the "regular" who came in while I was there, so it must have been me he he didn't care for. When my order was done, he just put it on the counter, looked at me and turned his back to me to face the grill. He did not respond to my "thank you" but maybe he is hard of hearing. I had a Gyro here years ago and it was fine, but I won't be back. I miss the wonderful Spanikopitas at John's in Southroad - his wife had to retire from making them, so he no longer has it on the menu. I must be spoiled by John- John always has a smile and remembers you, even if you just come occasionally. His Spanikopita's were almost half the price of the awful one I had here, and his prices are a lot better.

My wife is the gyro lover in the family. I like gyros, but it is not my first pick when it comes to eating. Her review is that the food is delicious, but the place is dirty and who we think is the owner has been working to long. Overall, she says that she would give it 3.5 stars.

My first mistake was not reading Yelp before coming here. Now I know. I probably never would have come here if it wasn't directly behind my brother-in-laws apartment. I am not sure if I'll be back. If I do it will only be because of the convenient location. Interior is like the inside of a diner or maybe a pool hall with no smoke and no pool tables. Run down. Grungy. And the service is nothing to speak of. The old man running the place (I assume he's in charge) mumbled something to me when I walked in so I nodded, thinking it was a greeting. It was not. He thought I was someone picking up a to go order. That apparently bugged him that I misunderstood. "Oh, well why'd you answer me then?" he torted (not sure if that's a word). Then as my eyes darted around the menu, he said something else. It wasn't a what can I get for you but I thought it was. I said just one moment please. He said what you don't know if it's to go or not? Maybe this is his sense of humor but I was not impressed. I felt rushed so I settled on the gyro platter. Before I could even finish my order (maybe add some baklava perhaps?) he said, "$9! Grab a bottle from the cooler. Or you can have styrofoam, up to you, most people get a bottle." Lol, umm ok. I'll just, uh, get a bottle. (One perk the bottles are 24 oz.) By this time I'm not happy with my decision to patronize this place. How about some warm greetings or a welcoming smile for those who enter your dungy place for your average gyro's and tiny selection. Huh? Where's that? There was another guy doing the cooking and I think he was a little nicer. I think. He was foreign, probably Turkish, but don't want to assume and when I smiled at him, his whole face very deliberately tilted up and down in a firm nod of understanding. But those lips did NOT crack a smile. I must say the prep was quick for my gyro combo (includes a gyro, french fries and drink). But there's not much to it so not like I'm gonna hand out too many stars for that. As far as the food, as I mentioned, it was average. It's like Greek fast food only in a diner with no drive thru. The onions were crunchy and fresh, I did like that. But the 'white' sauce according to the old man (come on now, let's use traditional language here) was excessively slathered all over the gyro so it was hard to really separate the flavors of the meat, pita, tzatziki and onions. I was also kind of bummed about the tzatziki. Very little flavor. Not the idill (haha get it?) sauce I was hoping for. I was really hoping I'd walk in and find some of those yummy lemony potatoes! Nope. Menu is pretty limited. I did notice as I waited they have spanakopita. Darn! Baklava. Yumm. Maybe next time. Room for improvement? YES! I suggest a warmer welcome, a little renovation (even if it's a fresh coat of paint, some soap and water and elbow grease), maybe stick your work desk somewhere else (it's the last booth in the restaurant where a woman sat and did not even attempt to make eye contact, which was awkward because the one TV is above her head) and maybe some seasoning or lemon potatoes or variety? Overall, if you're hungry for an average gyro it's not too bad.

Come here when Johns is closed and never been disappointed. Gyros are good sized with lots of fixins and always taste great. Even their cheeseburger is great. Must be from the flattop grill they use. Always been busy when we go in and their service never suffers. Only downfall is their prices are a tad high but not a reason to stay away. Highly recommended.

This place is a bit of a hole in the wall located in a small strip mall, blink and you might miss it. It is my go to when my favorite spot is closed (John's Grecian Delights). The wait time on to go orders is a little slow but the food is made to order so I can't complain too much. The portions are decent but the prices not so much; you will pay about $8.50 for a gyro combo (gyro, fries, and drink) and over $5 for a small square of Spanakopita. The staff is pleasant but their conversation skills leave much to be desired.

Had lunch here again. No wifi but its not the end of the world... or is it? 2 gyro combos with 2 drinks cost us about $18 bucks. Not the cheapest but i appreciate the food and special type of greek service... You know they are smiling on the inside :o) Always good food. If your in the area and need greek food in your blood stream give these guys a try. Once you go greek you never go.... um.... something profound.

Interior is basic. When I walked in I wanted to walk back out because I had a feeling that the food would not be that great. The elderly man kinda needed better people skills.... But the other guy working had an accent and I told him I was going to yelp it so he said he was going to make the food really good for me. No feta cheese so we asked for some... $1 extra. And it came in a block of cheese... Or crumbled.... Kinda weird. The gyro... Wasn't bad but wasn't delicious. The pita bread was average... But the food just didn't have anything special in flavor that made me want to go. And the Greek sauce (forgot the name lol) wasn't homemade!! Onions and tomatoes come on the gyro. Probably won't be back. Owner said they have been around for 21 years ... Weird. Never heard of them nor do they have a lot reviews... That should tell you something. I really wanted to like this place and time another good gyro place other than going to the south roads mall.

I put in a to-go order to feed some coworkers for our monthly meeting. I'd never been in before, but the little restaurant was small and had the charm of a local diner that was run with love but no frills (which is a compliment). The gentleman at the counter there was a sweet, older fellow and he was working a 50s style open grill. The whole place smelled amazing! I picked up the food (at an extremely reasonable price), and my office mates devoured every last bit of it. Delicious - huge portions. It's always nice to find new options for office lunches, so we're all pretty excited about gyros in the future. Shame we didn't discover this little place sooner!

Tried this place because i was in the neighborhood. This is the definition of a mom/pop, hole -in -wall place. Food was solid and pricing was good. Not fancy or pretty or exotic. Come and get a gyro and enjoy.

This place has probably the best gyros around. Yeah the place is small and doesn't run the air much in the summer, but it's a small business and who really cares? The foods good and it's locally owned. The old guy running the place is a really nice guy who's working for a living rather than pulling social security.

Been here a few times. Always order a gyro, either lamb or chicken, and it's never disappointed. The staff is very friendly and even covered a bit of my last meal as I was a little short. Things like this keep customers loyal. I will continue to come back for the food and service.

It is something of an eyesore when you walk in, but I always get decent food here. The owner is old and one of those guys who refuses to retire. There's nothing overly spectacular on the menu, just a good old gyro for a decent price ($5 for sandwich only). They also have various fried fare like mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Overall the place just needs cleaned up and maybe a few new items on the menu like kebobs or a spicy version of the gyro would be cool.

I've been coming here since the early 90s when my family Moved to Papillion (incidentally, shortly before being stationed here we lived in Izmir Turkey, so I've eaten plenty of gyros, though the Turkish call them 'donors'). I have always loved the style gyros served here. They are very similar to the street food style that was found on the cornerstone Izmir. The meat is grilled crispy after roasting on the spit, the onions and lettuce are always cold and crunchy, the sauce is always a lightly flavored backdrop to the other flavors. The only thing different is that in Izmir, your gyro would be served with the French fries wrapped up inside! The baklava isn't ever as gooey as I remember, but it has a solid walnut and honey flavor. Everything cooked to order and made exactly as requested. Also, if you're looking for a big thick burger, you can get that here too! Prices are good and service is always polite and friendly. Especially if you offer a smile and a little patience. I've enjoyed eating here since I was a teenager, slipping down the hill from the high school, and I imagine I'll continue to enjoy eating here long past the time my own kids slip down the same hill. Grecian Gyros is a Papillion tradition.

Very basic interior, family owned and could use a few upgrades. I love supporting small businesses (especially ones close to home) but I just can't bring myself to visit this one often. They gyros aren't horrible but they aren't amazing either. The fries are some of the worst I've had. And the price doesn't make me want to go back either.

Well... When they finally decided to follow the hours they have posted, I was able to try their food. (after literally 4 separate attempts) I agree with alot of the other reviews, the Gyro's were nothing to go crazy over. My opinion is when you're the only Gyro place you can get away with bad customer service and use inferior meats. I didn't appreciate the shut up and give me your money vibe/approach the older guy gave off. The good thing I did find out in finding Grecian Gyros, is King Kong has superior Gyros. I went there each of the times i was met with a closed sign. Omaha has an open slot for someone to walk away with the Gyro scene, but Grecian Gyros in Papillion will never be that food.

Total hole in the wall. Gyros are great, but everything else is kinda meh. I ordered a veggie gyro once, and got a pile of lettuce on a peta. Wha? But I don't care, the lamb gyros are super great. Best around. Just order that and nothing else. The fries are not very good. Big puffy and dry. Out of a giant freezer bag. Order the gyro. It's good, but know you've been warned not to venture too far from there.

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.
