I haven't been here in several years, and in the past the price was around 11 dollars w/drink, which was already kind of high at the time. I decided to check this place out again. My first major complaint was with the price, 16 dollars w/drink for a single adult at a mediocre Italian buffet? I should have just gone to a fancy Italian restaurant for that price. The food is OK, nothing seemed terribly disgusting, I was disappointed by their lack of chocolate ice cream for desert. The cleanliness of this place could be improved, my shoes were sticking to parts of the buffet room, and I saw quite a few dirty tables. I also had fruit flies buzzing around my table; that made me think twice about getting anything fruit based here. I won't be coming back here, they've gone down the dark path of a bad buffet.

What a shame! The food was nasty. I saw them take dirty plates, shake them off and put them back on the stack. The service was terrible. I saw a little boy if they had non dairy ice-cream and he grumbled YES. Then the boy asked where it was and the man said "up yours". Then his mom came over and said to not talk to her son that way and he said shut the f*** up and clean up the accident that is your son!

The lunch buffet is the best deal. Monday nights Senior's get 25% off the buffet price, and Wednesday if you present your college ID you get a discount. The buffet doesn't include a drink, so thats extra. Service is eh, ok. You're pretty much on your own. Buffet does offer quite a bit though for your choosing.

Don't go here. Ever. No, seriously. The staff is good and friendly. But the food is awful. What they call "pizza" doesn't taste like it at all. You'd have something closer to a pizza by putting pizza topping on a spread out Pillsbury biscuit. While that may be the worst part of the buffet, the rest isn't much better. Old Country Buffet is a huge step up from this place. If you went to the store and bought the absolute cheapest pre-made pizza or Italian food you can buy, it would taste better than Valentino's. If you're thinking about going to Valentino's, 1) stop, 2) put down the car keys, and 3) re-evaluate where you want to eat. You deserve better.

Attn Yelp! Bosses: Not every restaurant deserves a star. This is one of those restaurants. A long time ago, at a buffet far, far away, there was a place called Valentino's. Their food was hot, fresh and delicious. Sometime and somehow between then and now, the place tanked. I remember when Valentino's had menus and you could order off the menu or go through the buffet line. That option is somewhere with their former foodstuffs. We went on a Saturday for lunch. The place was, for as big as it is, pretty empty. I am counting the balloon clowns in with the other 12 people there. Because there were no other options, we wen through the buffet. They have a lot of food on the buffet including: three or four types pasta, four sauces, a full salad bar, fried chicken and chicken tenders, six or seven types of pizza, lasagna, breadsticks, dessert bar, and soft serve ice cream machine. There was probably more but you get my point. A lot of food. Sadly, in my opinion, none of it (except for the cinnamon breadsticks and apple pizza and soda) was edible. None. Of. It. I am confident that between the three of us, we tried just about everything there was to try. So, here we go...prepare for the jump to light speed. Pizza-cheese, pepperoni, veggie and something that claimed to have been something formerly meat. As is the curse of buffets, these all had the appearance and taste of having sat over the buffet for way too long. It had that dried out yet greasy look. I went back toward the end of our meal and happened upon a fresh out of the oven cheese pizza. It ended up being exactly the yuck old pizza but without the excuse of being old. My companions had the same opinion of their flavors. The pastas were exactly what you would expect on a line; slimy tepid pasta. Sadly, the sauce did nothing to redeem its carb partner. We tried the beer cheese (chili peppers (?) in beer cheese) meant all you tasted were chili peppers; Alfredo (again some kind of pepper-three ingredients for Alfredo cream, Parmesan, roux-it's sauce not rocket science-but it was bitched nonetheless), tomato (hard to screw up but was sadly bland) and meat sauce (think tomato sauce plus unidentified meat). The only good observation I can say about the sauces is that they were the warmest food item we had during our entire meal. The fried chicken was actually pretty good. Dry from sitting around all day but tasty. I guess I can say that the chicken earned half of Valentino's the one lonely star. But who goes here for fried chicken? Really. Who does that? The tenders though were really hard and dry. None of us finished the tenders we claimed on the buffet. The salad bar was well-stocked with fresh veggies and fruit. Everything was its proper temperature. You could easily construct a lovely salad from the bar's offerings. Again, the best food option was the salad bar. The dessert bar looked decent. We tried the cinnamon sticks (excellent and just as I remembered them), the apple pie pizza exactly what you are thinking it is and yummy at that), peach cobbler (not up to any self-respecting Southerner's standards for sure), cherry pie pizza (no one tried that but it did not look objectionable). The soda fountain was a soda fountain but since almost everything else at this place was gross, I feel it necessary to end on a positive note. The soda was not disgusting. Three adults with three buffet meals and three sodas was over $35. I was unable to enjoy and finish anything I selected from the buffet except my soda (free refills-I guess that is something), one cinnamon breadstick and a piece of the apple pie pizza. That means that soda, breadstick and pizza slice cost me over $11. Man, I feel sick just typing that. Where did the old Valentino's go? It has to be in another galactic star system because I can say for certain, it is not at 108th Street in Omaha, NE.

This Valentino's is a great option if you have a large group of people to feed in a hurry. They also have a wonderfully varied selection of pasta, pizza, salad, and more. Sunday brunch with the kids and the grandparents? Hard to beat. The food is generally pretty good, but it acquires the blandness that seems to come with any buffet. On a few occasions I've found spoiled food (which, when reported to staff, resulted not just in replacement of the dish, but in an investigation by the manager). Most of the dishes are the same from visit to visit. The dessert and "comfort food" stations rotate the selection seasonally. They experimented with a Mongolian BBQ but quickly abandoned it. The food quality *seems* to be gradually declining over the years, but I think it's just that they're not keeping up with the improving quality and innovation of their competition. Service is uneven. As others have noted, the cashiers are surprisingly unfriendly and are not knowledgeable or consistent about handling their discount programs. Dining room staff is sometimes stellar--this location is used to train managers for other other Valentino's, and some of those people take pride and ownership as if this was their own store. They have a very large party room which seats 125 people. It's equipped with games and such for kids events, and a podium and video equipment for grown-up affairs.

As far as buffets go, Valentino's is one of the better Italian buffets in Omaha. As compared to the "Chicken Ranch" they actually serve fresh pizza with generous toppings. They have so many options including a pasta bar, salad bar, dessert bar, taco bar, chicken and roast beef and a child's bar (chicken fingers, corn dog bites etc.). Also, we did not have to wait for pizza to come out or wait until pepperoni, sausage, combination and cheese were ready. They are a little more expensive but for the quality you cannot beat it. It is still my favorite. I would recommend Valentino's as the place is big and has a party room for bigger parties. Great pizza! The staff is friendly and responsive to your requests. Thank you Valentin's for a nice dining experience.

My job always order from Valentino's so hubby and I wanted to try the buffet today. Where do I start.. First, for three people it was $42! More expensive than pizza ranch. The cashier didn't seem enthusiastic at all. The chicken was dry, the salad tasted like it sat out too long, the rice was gross and the pizza wasn't as tasty. Then to top it off the service sucked!! The guy walked past our table twice and didn't get our plates. Hubby had to wave at him to get his attention! What kind of service is that? The only thing that was good was the pasta and the breadsticks. I had high expectations from them because whenever my job ordered from them it was always fresh and delicious, but they really slacked off tonight. I will not return to this buffet and I really don't recommend anyone to go here.

Just ate there for the first time while driving through on I80. We only had about 30 minutes before closing but the young man told us to just ask if there was anything we wanted that didn't look fresh. Most everything seemed quite fresh & way more fresh compared to other buffets I've been to. Great selection of pastas, 6 different pizzas, chicken, tacos, deserts, & salad bar. Staff was very friendly & made us feel like they really appreciated our business. The manager came through the line a couple times saying to wait a couple minutes & a fresh pizza would be put out to replace the one that no one had even taken a slice from yet. Wasn't 30 seconds and a new one was there. Noticed they were swapping the pizzas every 5 to 10 minutes, have never seen a pizza place work so hard to keep it fresh, very impressed by this for a buffet. Food all tasted quite good and good temperature. Buffet tables were very clean and well stocked. Restrooms were also clean and everything in good working order. The floors were quite dirty under some tables in the dining area but there had been a lot of kids there when we first arrived so I don't count that against the staff.

When I first discovered that little tidbit, I went to the cashier to get the discount added, and they said very rudely, "you should've said something when you were up here." Well I would have had I known. I found out via the little flip book on the ends of the tables you sit at. In the meantime - stuff your face with pasta and pizza. And when you're done - stuff your face with the dessert pizza and/or ice cream. Go ahead, I won't judge..but be prepared to go up a pant size for a few days!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Large variety of very good food.

kind of expensive buffet, lots to choose from not bad food. great customer service and always replenishing the food that runs out.

I love their pizza. Nice thick crust and lots of cheese... Mmm... I need a nap now.

An ok buffet for Italian food. Lots of variety of foods. Prices are decent

I move away for 5 years and this is what I return to. What happened? I missed the days when it was worth paying a little extra for it now it is overpriced mediocre pizza and pasta. I can get a much better pizza for less.

FOOD POISONING!!!! I got food poisoning from a plain cheese pizza, which is evident there's some pretty gross and unsanitary practices here, considering I didn't even eat any meat or veggies to make me sick. Great food, lovely dining setting, fair prices for delicious Italian food. Very acceptable place, no hassle with dealing with a waiter/waitress. You choose your plate at the he buffet. Great assortments of either chicken, beef, pork, pastas, salads, pizzas, and others. Paid roughly $10 for the buffet, great price based on quantity and quality. Quality was great! Quantity, I was full after one regular plate size proportionate. Again, great setting, and classical music played, not too loud to too quiet, just right!

The worst place in Omaha we got food poisoning and were told by staff that this never happens and that we were wrong trust us at your own risk would I ever eat there
(1)Sarah M.
We ordered from the location close to Offutt AFB. The food was cold by time it got to us. Half our order was missing and the driver didn't tell us until we already gave him a tip. When we called to talk with the manager instead of being nice about forgetting our items she argued and blamed the driver. Absolutely the worse service! I rated a two because the food we did get was ok. We won't go back!
(2)Kit W.
All the Italian you can handle? Sign me up. Service is not all you can handle though. The cashiers, while I cannot understand why you need three at one register, were not friendly. Also, I'm a student and on Wednesdays you get a discount...or at least you did, not that they would tell you that.
(4)Patrick W.
I am not a big fan of buffets. Something about troughs of food just doesn't seem right to me. Valentino's, however, is the exception. It's not that the food is particularly great but it's different than the other buffets in town. By itself, I would rate the pizza a solid '3'. It's usually the main attraction for me and I would rate it above Domino's and some of the other cheaper chains around. However, I don't think I've ever gotten a pizza to go. I also enjoy the lasagna, breadsticks, salad bar, and of course the ice cream. This is a good place for large family gatherings in which you don't want to spend a ton of cash. It's also a draw for kids birthdays. It's the sort of place that my wife and I end up at once a year just because we don't have any better idea's on that particular night.
(3)Erica J.
Variety is what this place has going for them. The food is ok - a lot of fried, cheese stuff. Definitely not healthy for you, although they do have a large salad bar. There are not a lot of vegan options, but plenty of vegetarian ones (although the ice cream machine said 'dairy free'). The staff was friendly, but the whole place just kind of smelled dirty. I didn't get the impression that things were very clean. Also, if you go on a Saturday for lunch, be prepared to listen to high-pitched clown voices the entire time you are eating. Fun for kids, I suppose, but not if you want to have a decent conversation without distractions.
(3)Ron P.
Valentinos at the buffet lacks the quality usually found at the original location in Lincoln. I love their pizza and the place is usually packed. I do appreciate different types of pizza which obviously some people don't. I just don't go for the buffet. I want my pizza all to myself and custom made.
(4)Doug B.
They have a good cheese and cheeseburger pizza that I crave from time to time. Try the lunch buffet for a variety of pizza.
(4)Angela W.
Tried this tonight, before the crowd. I hate to admit it, but there was a lot of variety to the buffet. It surprised me. Much more than pizza, thank goodness. I found the pizza to be the least interesting thing on the buffet. Some of the tastiest things on the buffet weren't even "Italian", like the enchiladas and the turkey "pot roast". I don't know if I'd go with any frequency, but it's nice to have an alternative to Chinese.
(3)Catie S.
Pizza, pasta, salad bar, dessert bar..What more could you ask for? Plus special food items like ribs, shrimp, corn dogs for the kids, cheese toast, cinnamon sticks. There's so much to chose from. Great atmosphere. It's decently priced with everything that there is to chose from. And while your eating with friends and family they have televisions on that you can play along to a trivial pursuit game. Great place to bring family and friends.

Can this whole chain just go away, please? This is not pizza, folks. Eeew! Further to this, they also serve "Chinese" food.

I do appreciate different types of pizza which obviously some people don't. I just don't go for the buffet. I want my pizza all to myself and custom made.

They have a good cheese and cheeseburger pizza that I crave from time to time. Try the lunch buffet for a variety of pizza.
