Yum!!!! I've worked close to this place forever and ate at it for the first time about a month ago. So good! Used a groupon also but even wo it you don't need it. Prices are about average. Food is so good! Seems like a mom and pop place but family friendly. Not too big of a restaurant. Location is good and parking is nice also.

Great Indian food. We like the Mulligatawny soup, Naan, chicken tikki korma, vegetable korma, and mixed grill. Great mint sauce. We usually get takeout, but have also also gone to the restaurant and have had good service. Can usually get a Groupon as well.

We showed up for dinner on memorial day and even though there was only one waitress she did and amazing job! Not to mention not to mention the chef. The food and service were just downright phenomenal! We had the tandoori chicken half portion ( which was half a chicken by the way) and it came with this amazing mint chutney. We also had their naan which was delicious and appropriately priced. Probably the best I've had! Finally we had Chana masala which was also good. The sides we had were a salad with mustard vinaigrette which was simple but no less yummy and the mulligatawny soup (creamy and super delicious.) Overall I would sum up this place with one word AMAZING!

This was my first time eating their food and also first time trying Indian food. Tried the jalapeño beer previously which is amazing! One of the best beers I've ever had. Anyway back to the food. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo which is a a bunch of spices in a tomato sauce I'm assuming and some other random stuff. The chicken was well cooked and still juicy. The sauce was even better. It was the perfect spicy. Added some rice to it it completed the meal. Will be back again to try other dishes.

Ate here for the first time tonight and we really liked it. The Naan was delicious! Chicken Tikka Makhani was delicious and the mulligatawny had a nice spice to it. Chicken Kadai was quite bland and was more like chicken rice soup. Definitely will go back to try more!

Mediocre. Soup was bland. Malai Kofta wasn't the best. Service was decent. Nice server. Wouldn't come here again.

Based on my wife's hyping I was truly expecting a mind blowing experience. Instead what I got was below average Indian food that lacked any wow factor. Is it worth a try, I'd say yes. Either you're going to love it and have a new Indian joint on your favorites list. Or you will appreciate your old Indian joint even more and stay put.
Our favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha, and we've tried most of them. This is authentic eastern Indian / Nepalese cuisine, fresh, spicy if you want it (ask for 6 or hotter), and very friendly. The lamb is tender and not overcooked, chicken and shrimp dishes are seasoned just right, and many vegetarian dishes. Want a spicy, garden fresh appetizer? Ask for the Masala Pappad, not on the menu; the fresh onions and tomato with the sliced chilis are right out of the garden. Delicious.

By far my favorite stop for Indian food in Omaha. Have had every lamb dish they offer, and have yet to be disappointed. Also offer a great amount of naan varieties as well as other breads as starters. My wife and I usually get 2 just because we can never decide on one. Make sure to order the mango chutney as well. Makes everything that much better!!

This is not good Indian food. The vindaloo tasted like spicy tomato paste. The spinach dip is advertised as spinach with paneer and cream cheese. When it arrived, there was a ton of yellow cheese melted on top. It tasted like a spinach dip from a tostido jar. The indian food here has been altered to cater to white Omaha residents who have never tasted real delicious indian food. I still give this place two stars because the waitress was great and the lamb was good.

The atmosphere is severely lacking. When you walk in, the restaurant is extremely dark. There is a dingy feel to the place, like it used to be a dive bar. The carpet is dark and old. Poorly lit, but not in a way that creates romance or ambience. More like they can't afford the light bill. Jk. The walls have a fair about of oak wood trim on them and the painted walls are textured. Typical Indian masks and decorations. I was hoping the food would be better than the decor. It was. The mulligatawny soup was nice and earthy, had a nice creamy consistency, and had a slight kick to it. The chicken satays were dry and oily. The peanut dipping sauce was very disappointing...bland and oddly watery. Least flavorful chicken app I've ever had. :( The pistachio kulfi is kick ass! It's a little odd when it comes to your table because it's cut into chunks but it has a nice dense texture. They use lots of ground pistachios because the flavor really comes through, but isn't overwhelming. I went to dinner with good friends that have a "spirited" 2 year old and an adorable (but fussy) 3 month old. The kids were pretty loud (one had a decent scale breakdown at some point) but the server took it in stride. Very calm and professional. I really appreciated it. Overall food is hit and miss, with some stand outs. Atmosphere dingy and dark. Excellent service.

My favorite Indian food restaurant. Was able to make a call ahead reservation. My husband and I shared the spinach stuffed naan and I had the Reshmi chicken kabab entree while he had the mixed tanduri grill. Server was nice, helpful and quick.

I've been to Tanduri Fusion twice now in the last six months. I agree with the people who say the food is better than the atmosphere, the up side they have a nice looking patio. This last time things started a bit rocky with a dirty water carafe. Service was generally friendly and attentive though. First, let me confess I am not an aficionado of Indian food, so I cannot judge this food by any standard other than my own enjoyment and limited experience. The naan was good. The mulligatawny soup was excellent. I could make a whole meal out of it. I had the Chicken Korma and it was pretty good. I wish it had just a little more heat. The last time I was here I had the Tandoori shrimp, which was marginal. I've had better at other local places. It's Omaha, so this is far from the only time I've been severed shrimp that was past it's prime. I understand it happens. Overall, I recommend giving this place a shot, but they need to be more mindful of cleanliness and the freshness of their shrimp.

Great prices, good sized meals, and great service. Went with my 12 & 9 year old kids, and we had the veggie samosas which come with one of the most delicious sauces I've ever eaten - I would buy a box of that stuff if I could. Soup was alright, nothing special. Lamb Vindaloo is super spicy, Rich, flavorful, perfect for dipping some naan into. My son handles spicy very well, but I wouldn't suggest it for the faint of heart. I got the chicken tikka for my daughter who can't handle any spice, and she loved it. The three of us shared all of that and there was plenty food left over for leftovers tomorrow, and my kids will continue to enjoy it. I will definitely be back many times.

Love, love, love!! I am new to Indian food and will be completely honest...besides Tanduri Fusion I have only eaten at one Indian Restaurant. But I fell in LOVE with Indian food and especially Tanduri Fusion. The Vindaloo Chicken is where it's at! It is very, very spicy though, so be ready. It is spicy enough to make you wonder if you can keep eating, but not too spicy that you cannot taste the complex flavors that make this dish. The veggie somosas are good. And the Garlic Naan is phenomenal. I did try the mulligatawny soup on my last stop here (and my first dine-in experience). It was not good. But I think that is just my tastes towards the dish in general and not any knock on their particular recipe...just too earthy for me. As far as the actual ambiance, as others have stated it is lacking. I'll stick with just getting take out here!

This place easily has the least good Indian food in town. That's not to say it's bad, but if it weren't close, I'd go to a half-dozen other spots in Omaha besides this one. My other problem with this place is that they sell Groupons that do not include dine-in only in the fine print like most other restaurants do, but they insist on dine-in only anyway or try to bilk you out of an upsurge. That's a classic bait-and-switch. I will not be patronizing Tanduri Fusion any longer for sure.

Came here after reading decent reviews. We ordered a Thali, which is a large platter of about 6 different dishes in small portions. It feeds about two people, so for the price and variety, it seemed like a good idea. Everything is bland. There's just not much flavor to anything. The samosas we ordered as an appetizer would have been too bland to eat if not for the chutney (though they did leave my fingers sopping with orange grease). My lentil soup was bland. My girlfriend's salad was mostly brown and wilted. The naan was very strange. I requested garlic naan, but I couldn't decide whether I'd actually gotten garlic or normal naan. I tasted almost no garlic, but on rare occasion I'd taste a ghost, a fleeting flash of garlic, making me wonder if this was garlic naan, just blandified like everything else. Also, the naan was fluffy. All the naan I've ever had in my life up until this point was dense and slightly crisp, but this naan was fluffy. It tasted like white sandwich bread, masquerading as naan. Out of the six dishes on the Thali, two were okay, though not outstanding - a milky rice desert and the vegetable curry. However, the bean dish, the chicken curry, the lamb dish, were all completely tasteless. No heat, no flavor, just bland. Very disappointing. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and wouldn't go back. Indian food should pop and burst with flavor, and this completely failed to do so. I wonder if they're not using enough spice, or if their spices have gone old and stale and lost their flavor.

Many, many visits since our 2013 review. Nice people, great food...what else is there? This time we had Aloo Gobi, Paratha, Chicken Korma, Malai Seekh Khabob with Raita and Mint Chutney. All with the best mulligatawny in Omaha. Perfect.

I came from Chicago where Indian cuisine is very competitive. Tandoori fusion could easily compete! My favorite in Omaha for sure!! I love the chicken tikka makhani. My boyfriend usually gets a lamb dish, all have been spectacular! We won't go anywhere else even since we have moved to midtown!

Best Indian Food in Omaha. I live nowhere near this place in West O but will drive out there on a regular basis. I usually get the chicken vindaloo if I am in the mood for spice and the mixed tandoori grill if I am not. Prices are VERY reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. Service is good. Decor is random but I go there for the food, not the decor.

Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Korma, Chicken Tikka Korma, Lamb Madras - I have tried about four dishes here and have been happy with all of them. Not my favorite but good none the less. I would definitely recommend it if you like Indian, but i like Mother India more and my favorite used to be Flavors (closed). There are a few more Indian places in the area i still need to try though.

Good butter chicken, they advise butter chicken if you ask for chicken tikka marsala because theirs is more tomato based than cream based but still delicious.

This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha. The chicken tikka korma is hands down the best I've ever had. The service is above and beyond, it's very clean and reasonably priced. I have yet to try a new dish that I wasn't fond of!

As soon as I walked in the door there was this awful smell that I should have seen as a sign. The place seems run down and unclean. For a glass of wine or beer it was almost $10 and thats if you are lucky to pick one that they actually carry. The menu is pages upon pages long and the prices are unreasonable. I decided to go with chai and the tiny teapot they bring was faulty so it dribbled tea all over the table with every pour and it was extremely bland, no hints of ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon or any spice whatsoever. We ordered the cheese naan, which seemed like a bad idea as I had already assumed it would be Americanized and it was, it was the equivalent of a soggy tasteless cheese quesadilla and were eating Indian(faint hints of it anyway) We ordered the saag paneer and lamb vindaloo, two Indian staples in hopes they could at least get those two right...the saag paneer was tasteless and the lamb vindaloo was just spicy. I guess my expectations were too high for Indian in Omaha.

Used to think Jaipur was the best Indian place in Omaha. Tanduri is better. Atmosphere is dark, old and needs updating. Service is always very (sometimes too) attentive. Had all the chicken dishes. Each has been fresh and very flavorful. Best mulligatawny soup I've had. I agree with others, there is better Indian food in New York, Chicago etc but I'm glad we have this here.

Go for the food, not the atmosphere. Love the Chicken Korma, Thimpu Chicken and Chicken Naan. Best I have found in Omaha! Would like to see room lightened so the menu is easier to read. Enjoy!

Tried this place because of the Groupon and positive Yelp reviews. We went in for Saturday lunch thinking there would be a buffet but were told they don't do that anymore. The dishes we ordered were subpar at best. The "fusion" noodles were caked in a sticky turmeric and curry powder blend; the tandoori shrimp tasted like a fish tank; the chicken naan was a complete freakshow -- I think it may have actually glowed in the dark. My husband also found a hair in his food. The service we received was fairly terrible as well. The waiter wasn't attentive despite there being less than five tables seated. $50 for two entrees, naan and a couple of beers seems pretty outrageous for lunch, especially when the food was so terrible. I left feeling angry that I was so full because it wasn't worth the time or money.

This place is by far my favorite Indian restaurant out of all the ones I have tried, and I've tried a lot! My husband and I love to eat here and do so often. They have the best mint chutney of all time, their naan is awesome, and the chicken tikka makhani is absolutely amazing - probably one of my very favorite dishes in the world. It is full of tender boneless tandoori chicken pieces, and the creamy buttery tomatoey sauce is to die for. The only thing I've had here that I haven't really liked was the chicken tikka masala - too much lemongrass flavor for my taste - but that's just me. Everything else I've loved, both vegetarian and meat dishes. They do have a smaller lunch menu of extremely inexpensive dishes served Thursday thru Saturday from 11:00 to 2:00. The prices are, in my opinion, fantastic because the quality and amount of food you get is impressive. Also the service has always been impeccable. They treat us wonderfully there. No matter who has been serving us it has been great. I've raved about it so much that I'm now craving it. Might need to go tonight in fact.....

Went her last night for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. The food was great and the staff genuinely cared if we were happy with our meals. Started with the Tanduri Spinach Dip, it was served with fried Naan and it was great. Next up, Mulligatawny Soup, not the best I have ever had but darn good. Entrees included Safed Maas, a lamb dish made with yogurt & spices and Chicken Bhuna, made with jalapeno and cream sauce. Both of these were outstanding and the Basmati Rice was some of the best in town. Also had a plain Naan and a Cheese Naan - fantastic. If you have not tried Tanduri Fusion give them a shot.

I was a former Jaipur addict that has recently converted to Tanduri Fusion. I don't live in Omaha anymore, but every time I visit I seem to end up here. All of the food is similar in quality to the food at Jaipur and I've enjoyed everything I've tried. My faves: -the Mulligatawny soup. AMAZING. -stuffed paratha with peas and potatoes -thimpu chicken The service was also great and the atmosphere was a lot calmer and more relaxing than Jaipur. I've also heard the lunch buffet is a really good deal.

Went tonight for dinner with a friend, and just like Sarah G., we also used a restaurant.com coupon ($25 off $45). That part alone makes this easily 4 stars. We ordered a TON of food. Tried the vegetable samosas, a mango lassi, garlic naan, mulligatawny soup, chicken tikka masala, and thimpu chicken (just for you, Sarah G!). All of the food was new to me, I'll admit, as I'm not an expert in the Indian variety of foods, but most everything was quite tasty. The mango lassi was heavy and tasted like a heavy yogurt pulp, rather than a smoothie like I was expecting. Very refreshing. Samosas were filled with potatoes and peas, and were fried but worked perfectly for starters. The mulligatawny soup had a "dense but light" texture to it, and was quite filling. The chicken tikka masala I wasn't too thrilled about. The chicken was dry and the sauce didn't have any complex flavors going on like I was hoping, just tasted like a super thick salsa with some spices added. The thimpu chicken that I took to-go and had a bite of when I arrived home was the real winner. Excellent sauce and super creamy, with just the right spice complexity. Garlic naan was fluffy and delicious. Tried some of my friend's vegetarian dish made with some paneer Indian cheese and peas..think I might have to give that a whirl next time. The waitress seemed to try to rush us out of there for some reason at the end, but otherwise service was good. The location is tricky if you don't know the Lakeside area very well, so google map ahead of time! Use the coupons online and go have yourself a delicious meal!

Stopped by to use my Restaurant.com coupon ($50 off $100), and for 4 people we ordered way more than normal to ensure we made it over the mark. I'm not sure why we were so concerned, because they counted alcohol towards the total too. After several gin & tonics, a rose lassi, some kingfisher beers, crab cakes, chicken satay, two orders of thimpu chicken, mulligatawny, naan, lamb korma, and thali we were about ready to float away in a blissful food-induced coma (we had lots to take home, believe me). The only downside of the Tanduri in my opinion is the location - about 11 miles away from my house - which translates to a 24 minute drive. Enough time to get a nap on the way home, but not practical for a quick trip when you're hungry. On average the menu is nearly identical to that of The Jaipur (which makes sense since the owners of Tanduri are former Jaipur employees), with several items being on average about $1 cheaper than Jaipur. Service was very good, and while we definitely kept our server busy she had no problem keeping up. Of course we didn't have anywhere to be so were in the mood for a casually long dinner. It started getting busier the later we were there (by about 7:30) and service slowed down accordingly, which is understandable.

We come here frequently. It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha. The food is consistently great. It sometimes is a little too dark in there, but we still like the atmosphere overall. The owner is always polite, professional and even more importantly, he always tries to make sure that we have a good experience there. Sadly, so many restaurants today just don't adhere to the old saying " the customer is always right" or at least is very important. I highly recommend this place. "Try the chicken naan with apricot."

I have been here about 10 times, but wouldn't come without a groupon or livingsocial deal. If I wanted to pay full price, I would go to the Jaipur (where the menu is identical) because the food is better. I have had the chicken korma, chicken buhna, chicken tikka, mixed tandoori grill, and chicken tikka masala here. Every single dish is better at the Jaipur. The flavors are identical here, just less intense. Also, the chicken seems to be dryer here. The only thing I like better here is their portion sizes are bigger! I am the spinach dip stuffed naan expert and the Tanduri needs to add a little more flavor (salt maybe?) to their bread. It just isn't as delicous and gooey as others I have had. :) Also, the mint chutney needs to be spicier.

Tips... - Come early. We went near opening time on a Tuesday, and there was quite a crowd waiting to get in by the time we were done. - Food prep is not quick - check out menu online to cut down on decision making. - For those with a cilantro aversion, avoid the seek kabob and the green sauce that comes with the spinach naan. I had... Raisin and cashew naan - this was very good - will be buying again. Spinach naan - was ok - overly scorched/ blackened on bottom. Seek Kabob with a side of Madras was very tasty - it will be hard for me to try something else next time.

This has become a staple in our world. I'm not kidding we eat there at least 3 - 4 times a month. We always drag someone with us and the waiter/waitress staff always comment on seeing us again and who we brought. Very lovely place and they just painted and redid a little decor and tables. Nice!!! I love the Tandori Chicken and we find coupons in Valpak, living social, and groupon from time to time - which makes it even better.

In short, totally unacceptable! Wow! We could see they were busy upon walking in, so I was prepared to cut them a little slack. Two adults and two kids, we gave our name to the host to be seated. After sitting awhile in the cramped entry, the bartender came over and grabbed a party that came in long after us and brought them to a table. After an apology and promise to get us seated right away, we waitied another 10 minutes. More apologies and the promise of a free appetizer. (Which they charged us for) Kids ordered a mango smoothie, which finally came after asking 3 times at the end of our nearly 2 hour ordeal at this poorly run establishment. Soup took 25 minutes to get to our table, giving us enough time to have the pleasure of using their facilities. The mens bathroom was nasty-ish, but they were super busy, and men are fillthy creaatures. However, my girls reported back that the floor of the women's bathroom was literally sticky. How does that happen?! Also, out of soap. A good hour passed as we watched all those seated after us eating their dinners. Entrees finally arrived.... Chicken Tikki for the girls was great. Moist and flavorful. However, my steak ordered from the Fusion menu was cooked to a piece of leather. The vegetables raw and a strange greenish, brownish, greyish mush of foul smelling mashed potatos stared up at me. I asked them to please take it far away from me. The owner insisted that they bring me something else at no charge. I finally relented and said, sure, we will take more Tandori chicken. He said, let me bring you something more mild for the kids. (kids, who were perfectly happy with the red meat that had all been consumed by that point) So, out came cubes of totally unflavored and dry chicken. One bite and I surrendered. They were shocked that I didn't want a to-go box for their old chicken chunks. Another 20 minutes to get the check, which frankly should have been comped. Thank goodness the $30 Groupon just covered the bill. I dropped it on the table and left, never to return. I should mention that this was my 3rd time dining at this establishment. First time was so-so. Second time was barely passable. You just heard about my third and last time. If you love Indian food like I do, do yourself a favor and take a drive somewhere else. Anywhere else!

Ok firstoff, this place is WAY better tasting than Jaipur. PROS Food: Amazingly delicious, good flavor and awesome kick. Staff: Attentive and friendly CONS Price: For about $14 per dinner entree, I expect twice as much chicken. Lighting: Does anyone else think it's too dark here? FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS I go back and forth between the Chicken Saag and Chicken Tikka Korma (this is the hotter option). Also the stuff spinach naan is a great appetizer! Please lower your price and increase your wattage and I'll be in a lot more often!

This place is by far my most favorite Indian place in Omaha. Indian Oven in downtown Old Market doesn't hold a candle to these guys. And luckily I live just a couple streets away from here! Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything. They are very quick, polite, and very accurate. I came here with a group of family and friends and we all pretty much confused the guy with our orders, and we were kind of worried since he didn't write anything down, but he came back with our food in less than 15 minutes with everything exactly how we ordered it. Talk about impressive!!! Their prices are ridiculously fair and it seems like we get way more of a bargain that what we pay for. My favorite dishes from here are the Lamb Sirloin Wrap (orgasmic), and the Mulligatawny soup. The soup is incredible, it's just the right spice and tang without being unbearable. My mom has Acid Reflux/Heartburn pretty bad, and can't handle spicy foods but this soup hits the spot without hurting you. Unless you're a wimp of course. If you're an Indian food fan, and are new to the area or new to trying it out, I definitely recommend this place as your first stop. I promise you won't be disappointed. Ooooh, I almost forgot, I came here to pick up an order I placed over the phone, and they were packed so I waited like an extra 10 minutes for my food (Not a big deal, I'm never in a rush when it comes to food), and the waiter felt bad I guess and he gave me a giant glass of FREE mango lassi. For my 10 minute wait. These people are a very humble, giving people. You're not gonna find THAT kind of service in a chain restaurant!!!!!!

If you have never eaten Indian food before...just skip every other Indian restaurant in Omaha and go straight to Tanduri Fusion. It is the best Indian food and one of our favorite restaurants in Omaha. We get carryout once or twice a month from here and we love it. I always get the Lamb Bhuna. If you love garlic, this is a must and then add in the garlic naan just so you make sure you really smell the next day. The Bhuna has a perfect mix of garlic and ginger. Also great is Chicken Vindaloo and shrimp Tikka Korma. The people that work there are actually appreciate you being there whether you are getting carryout or dining in. I even took an old cowboy and his wife there (AKA...the parents) from the middle of Nebraska and they loved it. Don't hesitate if you have never had Indian. It's worth every penny.

I ate here last week, and I thought it was going to be for the first time, however, once I parked, I realized that I ate here a couple years ago. It was one of my first Indian food experiences back then, but I remember it being very good. Still the same results. I don't know if it is any better than Jaipur or Mother India (still my favorite) but it is very tasty. I was with a friend who tends to be less adventurous with food, so we tried the tandori spinach dip appetizer. Surprisingly it was great. I mean who wouldn't love cream cheese, cheddar cheese, spinach, and a touch of tumeric ? I got my standard lamb vindaloo, and loved it. I took chicken tikka korma home to my husband and it was very good as well. My friend ordered a shrimp dish, and while the shrimp were large in size, they were not de-veined and that spoiled her appetite a bit (as I mentioned, not adventurous, so there was no spinning it into "added protein" or "extra flavoring"). I won't probably drive all the way out here again just for this place, but if I am craving some Indian and am in the area I would go back. Service was very friendly as well.

This used to be our favorite Indian place in town. Food is great, service is always friendly. That all went out the window last night when I took my son for his birthday dinner and as we finished our meal a COCKROACH ran across our table!! Nope. Never, EVER again! I'll forgive a restaurant and give them second chances for a lot of things, but that ruined me on this place forever!

Ate here tonight with my wife. We ate here once before a few years ago and enjoyed it then too. Tonight it was above good. The atmosphere was great, place was clean and upon entering smelled great. They were probably half full, customer wise. Not sure what wife ordered - she is a vegetarian. I ordered the Pad Tanduri. It was awesome. So glad I tried it. A big serving and I can't wait to finish it off tomorrow. We also got an order of Samosa's and some onion stuffed Naan. Both were really good and served hot and warm. We enjoy Indian food and ethnic food and if noone ever has - I recommend you go here first. I'm a big fan on this place and certainly will be back again very soon. Great Place.

Great Indian food and very polite and friendly service. Best Indian food in Omaha. The spinach Naan and chicken Naan are two of our favorite appetizers. So many good entrees, but the Grilled Lamb Sirloin and the Pappadam Crusted Tilapia are two of our favorites. They also have a very good wine list with reasonable prices!

My wife and I went here last weekend for dinner out. I hadn't had Indian in several months and was craving some great indian food. Tanduri Fusion did not disappoint! We arrived at about 6:15 on a Saturday night and were immediately seated. We both chose a Tandoori grilled entree - I had the mixed grill, she had the shrimp. They were both great as were the salad and the Mulligatawny soup. We also shared some Naan and an appetizer of Meat Samosa's - which were also very good. I'll be coming back here again!

Did take out but noticed how the interior of the place was a little odd. It's a large place thats dim, not much decor but hey, at least its clean. Ordered naan and chicken tikki masala. Well, the naan isn't too bad, its thick and fluffy and can hold up to soaking up heavy sauces but I like naans that are a little thinner and crispier (personal preference). The mint chutney was good. I wasn't a fan of the house salad's dressing. The chicken tikki masala was only ok. While the sauce was thou roughly seasoned, the chicken didn't have much flavor and was a little tough. It also looked like the chicken pieces were on skewers and then dumped in to the sauce at the last minute. I prefer Mother India chicken tikki masala or Flavors better. However, this place is close to where I live and I'd frequent this place again due to convenience. I'll have to try other dishes to see how it holds up.

So after seeing the two very positive reviews for this place, I thought that I might try this out with my project team. I didn't have very high expectations with this being Omaha, but I went to Indian Garden a month ago and it was decent. So I expected this place to be decent as well. I grew up in Singapore so I have some idea of what is good Indian food and I live in Chicago, so I know what passes as decent Indian food. But what I had here does not even pass as Indian food. With it being a new Indian restaurant that I haven't tried, I ordered two staples of Indian food so that it should be decent. Chicken Tikka Masla and some Garlic Naan. First the Chicken Tikka Masla. I know that one of the ingredients in tomatoes, however, it shouldn't be the only ingredient. Or at least it tasted like the only ingredient. The taste and consistency was more like stewed tomatoes. It was sweet, not spicy. It tasted more like spaghetti sauce then curry. Also, the chicken was very dry and tough, even though its supposed to be cooked in the curry. The garlic naan also was horrible. Usually naan is decent flat, not like a pancake, but not like pizza bread, which this naan was like. It was very thick and not light which naan usually is. Besides the fact that 1/2 of the bottom was burned. So two Indian staples that any Indian restaurant should be able to do decently turned out to be bad. I don't know how the two previous reviewers gave this restaurant so many stars.

Their mulligatawny soup and Paneer Makhani are really good. Everything else is horrible. The aloo gobi tasted like the smell of a wet dog and was inedible. The malai kofta dumplings were hard and flavorless. The water smelled liked worms, I had to order a $2.50 pop because I was so grossed out by it, I couldn't drink it. This place just doesn't compare to the India Garden. Go there instead.

India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.

(5)A K.

I ate here for dinner on a Thursday in May. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Madras. It was very good. The sauce base was a bit thinner than I am used to, but still very flavorful. It was supposed to be a spicy dish (and usually is in most Indian restaurants), but it was only mildly spicy. So, if you've been avoiding it because the spiciness scares you, then please give it a try. It had a decent amount of chicken in it and the chicken was moist and flavorful. Rice was very aromatic and cooked correctly. My entrée came with a choice of soup of salad. I opted for the Mulligatawny Soup. I've seen it and heard of it plenty, but have never tried it. So, I gave it a shot here. It was okay. A bit tart for my tastes. I probably won't seek it out in the future, but I'm glad I tried it. I also ordered Naan. Naan is perhaps the greatest food on Earth. I think I come to Indian restaurants and order an entrée just so I have an excuse to eat Naan. Their Naan is fresh and very good. Most of what we call Indian food in the United States is actually British Indian food. India was a British colony and the British returning to the UK craved the food they had in India. So, the Indians in Britain created dishes that the British would like and that used many of the flavors of India. Those dishes are what we in the USA, and those in the UK, typically call Indian food, Some dishes are more authentically Indian than others. As with ALL food, it varies by region and by chef. You've probably never gotten the exact same potato salad or hamburger served to you in two different restaurants (or two different private homes), so it's silly to expect that from Indian food or any other ethnic cuisine. I've heard this place and Jaipur have the same owners. So, there are a lot of similarities in recipes and whatnot. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and well-maintained

Delicious.
(5)Aaron R.
(5)Caroline T.

(4)Brittney R.
My favorite Indian food restaurant. Was able to make a call ahead reservation. My husband and I shared the spinach stuffed naan and I had the Reshmi chicken kabab entree while he had the mixed tanduri grill. Server was nice, helpful and quick.
(5)Patricia M.

(5)Sara K.
(5)Luke G.

Perfect.
(5)Bryanne S.

(4)Brady C.
(4)Vicki E.
Good butter chicken, they advise butter chicken if you ask for chicken tikka marsala because theirs is more tomato based than cream based but still delicious.
(4)Dustin H.
This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in Omaha. The chicken tikka korma is hands down the best I've ever had. The service is above and beyond, it's very clean and reasonably priced. I have yet to try a new dish that I wasn't fond of!
(4)Truthful T.

(4)Sandy K.
Will not recommend this restaurant at all...very bad customer service and Too much expensive ... If we go to this restaurant we will come with disappointment .....They don't know how to behave with customers .....I wish there is option to select less than 1 star...
(1)Doug B.
Go for the food, not the atmosphere. Love the Chicken Korma, Thimpu Chicken and Chicken Naan. Best I have found in Omaha! Would like to see room lightened so the menu is easier to read. Enjoy!
(5)Sarah S.

(5)Matt M.
(5)Meghan B.

(4)Sarah G.
(4)David W.
(5)Cassie Z.
(3)Mailman Dan M.
(4)Rodney R.
(5)Max G.
Sooooo delicious! Order anything. It'll be good. Service is always great. The owners are always there with a smile and always aim to please. It's all about happy workers and pleasing guests. Great experience every time.

(1)Cam V.

(5)Sam S.

The soup is a party in your mouth, and the mint chutney is fantastic!
