Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This place is pretty good. I've ordered takeout several times, and now this place has become my favorite Chinese place. It's also conveniently located less than a block away from my house. I recently ate in as well, and the food seemed even better than usual. So far i've tried the Cashew Chicken, the Rose Garden Chicken, and Orange Flavor Chicken. They also have the biggest eggrolls i've ever seen; not sure what the deal with that is but I'm not complaining.

I ordered an egg roll to start. It was pretty good, but a little too full of cabbage and weak on flavor. I ordered the Orange Flavored Chicken. It was served with fried rice and two cream cheese wontons. The chicken was very good and very flavorful (be careful you don't get any orange peel on your fork as it will be an overpowering taste experience). Rangoon were standard. Nothing exciting there. Overall, this is a solid place to grab some typical Americanized Chinese food. They do a better job than most places. One thing that freaked me out a little is that in-between customers one lady walked over to the corner (away from any food) and was clipping her nails into a trash can. Some things you just don't do in a restaurant (especially behind the counter). I realize it's probably a cultural thing and she honestly didn't think she was doing anything wrong. Restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I didn't make use of the restrooms, but everything else looked good.

This was catered, so it's difficult to fully judge. However, what was brought was not good at all. Much better Chinese restaurants in Omaha.

Rose Garden--On the whole, the food was good and service was just fine. Nothing went horribly wrong, but I wasn't wowed (hence just the 4 stars). Pretty much your typical American Chinese restaurant. It's close to my work so I'll probably head back again before too long. I do like the slightly different menu items that vary a bit from the staples (some dishes incorporate mango, basil, coconut, honey walnuts, etc). I wanted to order the coconut chicken, which sounded delicious, but they were out of some of the necessary ingredients. :( I ended up having the tried and true sesame chicken, and enjoyed it. Nice nutty sesame flavor, and not too oily (which can very easily happen in dishes like this). The rice was pretty bland. My coworker got the basil beef, which she said was tender and tasty. The basil smelled pretty strong, but it's one of my favorite herbs, so I'm sad we're not on a food-sharing basis yet because I totally would have loved a bite! The decor is amusing. The walls are painted a pepto bismol shade of pink. The floral wallpaper border is definitely from the 90s. Tables were clean. Chairs were hard.

Omaha's best kept Chinese Food secret, you will not be disappointed.

First off, I dream about their crab rangoons a lot. They are not sweet, but savory and has crab in them. I live for their peanut butter chicken, as it is sweet and salty. The perfect combination! I've also had the sesame chicken and the egg rolls which are equally as amazing. You can't go wrong here!

My very first experience with this restaurant was when my now boyfriend brought me lunch from here on a day that I was sick due to the weather change. It was such a sweet gesture and I was excited to try someplace new. He brought over some Hot & Sour soup and peanut butter chicken which comes with two crab rangoons. Since then, when we are figuring out where to eat and we want to stay close to town, we'll go here. Luckily I live very close to eat now, which could also be dangerous at the same time! In any case since that first day I tried their peanut butter chicken I have loved it. The hot and sour soup is a little on the spicy side for me, but a personal favorite of my boyfriend's. I have also tried their egg foo yon and it is very good as well. This little restaurant will probably always be our go to when we want something yummy and satisfying to fill our tummies :) If you're in the area, I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant.

Excellent food! Love that you can get any of the chicken items with white meat chicken and not deep fried!

We've come here for over 12 years for the amazing food. It tastes great every time. We recommend the Orange chicken and Pepper Steak. The crab rangoons are great too!

I appreciated the fast and FRIENDLY service. Well priced, proportioned and definitely tasted great. The Rose Garden is our new favorite Chinese restaurant.

Great sesame chicken and always comes with a free crab ran goon. The people working the counter are always the same and may be the owners. Either way it's a good way to spend $6.

Rose Garden chinese restaurant is one of the lesser-known chinese restaurants in Omaha, but their food and their prices are great. It has been owned by the same friendly family ever since I started going there in about 1997 or so. It is located in a strip mall, so you will miss it if you aren't looking for it. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out!

Good portion size, low prices, and consistent quality are the mark of this Chinese place right next to the Varsity at 96th and Q. I get their Mongolian Beef special on Wednesday night and usually order something for my co-workers. My one complaint is that their menu is not available online (if you find one, it is probably another Rose Garden, so beware). They serve your normal Chinese-American food, so they probably have what you're looking for.

The food here is good, and the portions are very large.
