Just left there not even 5 mins ago. As soon as our food was served a roach was crawling on our table. We both jumped up; the guy came over killed it with a napkin and looked at us and just laughed it off while saying sorry. We walked out. Never again.

Very small serving sizes for the prices, but pretty good service. The hot & sour soup was very over salted and the cup was only filled half way. My biggest peeve was my main dish; though it was listed on the menu as including mushroom, onion, and other veggies, my ginger beef consisted of a pile of meat ringed with ten small pieces of broccoli. The place was much better when it was the Thai Pepper

my new city Omaha quest for Thai garlic pepper pork/beef led me to this adorable place in Millard tonight. to me the building looked like a Pizza Hut given a new life remembered well from my 70's/80's childhood so I was very happy to be eating in one again. very nice owners/servers very clean welcoming place, they made their rounds checking on their tables and making sure we were happy with their food. I will state that the garlic beef was not quite exactly what I was looking for- but it was tasty well made and enough spice that I was pleased that it was close to my house to have again. I ordered crispy egg rolls ( delicious) thai iced tea (spot on) and the beef with garlic sauce mild/ one star. ( little spice according to their chart ) it was really very good. spice indeed was one star and gave me the heat I wanted without the burning mouth I don't in an entree. this garlic beef had the fried garlic and green onions, and the rice shaped into a lovely star on the plate but just had tomatoes and cucumbers instead of the cabbage I am used too. it also didn't have the cilantro which I think had it had it it would have been VERY close, in all. it was a delicious dish well made. I LOVED the custard and sweet sticky rice. VERY good. the crispy egg rolls with that lovely dipping sauce and thai iced tea were also quite delicious. the crispy egg rolls here beat Thai places in KC hands down. I am a little confused about NOT finding my garlic pepper pork/beef exactly like I've had it since 1993.. but i'll keep trying. I heard the other tables commenting and apparently the basil chicken was quite tasty since it is also a favorite and pad thai.. I will be back to try them now that I know where Q street is relation to my new place Delish! well done!

Decent Thai food. I enjoyed it- we got the chicken lettuce wraps, pad thai, and a shrimp dish. We also got the fruit drinks (mango and orange, respectively). The portion size was a tad small for the price but the taste was very good. The chicken lettuce wraps were good, although I would have liked more variety inside the wraps. The only thing offered was chicken (other places will offer other garnishes such as noodles, vegetables, and different sauces). The lettuce wraps here were accompanied by standard sweet chili sauce, which I enjoyed. The pad Thai was nice. I wish there had been a tad more chicken and also a bit more of the other stuff (bean sprouts, egg were not really noticeable). Still, the noodles and seasoning were great. I also liked the shrimp dish but the portion sizing was a tad small. Also of note, the orange and mango drinks were VERY good. I highly recommend checking those out. All in all, I enjoyed my trip to Tas's Thai Pepper and the only downside was that the portion sizings were a bit small.

The basil beef was on point! It came with a little side of cole slaw salad too, which was really good. Not your typical slaw, very citrusy and fresh. My boss bought lunch today and took us here. I'll for sure be back.

Decor is a little tacky and the place was clearly a Pizza Hut until a few years ago. Now that I've got my gripes out of the way, everything else is great. The servers are very polite and attentive and the food is very good. I tried their red and yellow curries and both were very good. I get the feeling it would be a bit hot for most people around here but you get to choose how hot the food is. I usually get 4/5 on the scale and that is just right for me.

Delicious food. Had pad thai anf green curry. Great staff! Very attentive and welcoming. Love the family nature of this space.

I have been going to thai pepper for 16 years. Unfortunately, since recent change of ownership, the food isn't as good as it use to be. The portions are MUCH smaller & the taste is off. Very sad that Tas left. This was one of my favorite places to go on a monthly basis. Not anymore.

New awesome thing on menu-- Shrimp Delight---- and Crispy chicken!! Both in a awesome sauce-- a little sweet and savory.. YUM!

Ate lunch here on a Monday in August. We got here at 11:15 and the place was open, but you couldn't tell by looking at it. There wasn't a single car in the lot (staff must of walked here or been dropped off). We almost left thinking they were closed. We ordered the Golden Nests and the Summer Rolls for appetizers. We were not impressed with either. While they were both made with fresh ingredients the taste just wasn't there. The Summer Rolls had very little flavor and were very loosely rolled. Next time we visit I'll try the Thai Spring Rolls and Golden Flowers instead. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai for my entrée. It was tasty and decently portioned. You can choose your heat level 0 to 5 stars. I went with 3 and it was fine. Service was friendly and attentive. This location was home to Thai Pepper for several years and, judging by the architecture, used to be a Pizza Hut back in the day. Interior is clean and well lit. One complaint is that one corner of the restaurant's dining room seems to be a storage area for stuff their kids use when they're babysitting them at the restaurant. Overall, good Thai food. There's better in Omaha, but give it a try if you're in the area.

A very nice surprise! My friend at work asked if I wanted to go get some Thai with him for lunch yesterday and I gave in and off we went. It doesn't look much on the outside, but its actually pretty nice on the inside with a nice faux-wood floor and nice tables and settings. We were greeted when we walked in and she showed us to our table. The waiter was extremely nice. We ordered our drinks and an app. We were wondering why it was taking a tad long, (probably 5-8 minutes), to get our app and drinks, but when we got it, we knew why. It was basically cooked to order and the crispy spring rolls were delicious. A little bit later we got our appetizers. I got the Thai Pasta with Chicken Curry at a 2-Medium heat level. It was awesome. The flavors were nice and balanced, the thai noodles were cooked right, and the chicken was great. I ate the whole thing. My friend got the Pad Thai and he said other than a tad too much fish sauce, it was really good. I got a Thai Iced Tea to go. My friend told me it was iced tea with sweet milk/condensed milk on top and you mix it. I'm not even a huge fan of iced tea and I loved it. All in all, this place was great and I can't wait to take my wife there for another great food experience.

Super fantastic pad Thai. Nice environment and friendly staff. Cheap, delicious and not too far from the interstate.
(5)Madison C.
Nice little place in an area full of chain restaurants. We ordered the chicken satay, coconut shrimp, ginger chicken, and pineapple chicken. Each were pretty yummy and you could choose the level of spicy (great for wimps like me). Overall good comfort food.

I FINALLY found a place in omaha that serves actually spicy Thai!! Most of the places really dum down the spiciness. We ordered the Golden Flower for an appetizer. It was basically pico de gallo with cubed avocado. Although I questioned the authenticity a little, it was absolutely amazing. All of the flavors were fantastic (the jalapeños could have been hotter, but I LOVE spicy stuff). I had a noodle dish (the name escapes me) and it was perfect in heat and the flavor was on point. A quaint little place with not a whole lot going on inside, but the place was very clean and the food was good!

I stopped in to pick up some takeout on a cold, snowy night. Overall, the main entrance looked a little worse for wear and could use a good scrub. I didn't venture into the dining room, but it looked pleasant enough. The decor was a mix of news articles and photos/paintings. One of the owner's (or staff's) children was by the takeout table (maybe where a counter used to be?) and was nothing shy of adorable. It was an awkward little space, whatever it was/is. I ordered a Thai beef salad and spring roll. The spring rolls were, by far, the very worst part of my meal. The wrappers probably were probably soaked for too long, because they fell apart. One tiny piece of shrimp per piece, and the noodles did not taste like they had been freshly prepared that week; they tasted very old and gummy. The tamarind sauce was simply not good. I enjoy tamarind and use it regularly, but this was salty, fishy and bitter. Needless to say, I did not finish the rolls. The beef salad was okay, the beef on the salad was still warm when I got home after a ten minute drive. I enjoyed the salad - minty, limey, and tender - maybe a little mealy. The cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the accompanying rice smelled fishy to me (not in a good way) and I could only muster a few bites. There is better Thai in Omaha. Not sure I will be back to check out the dining room. :-//

Nice open floor plan with lots of light. The decor was pretty random but white tablecloths were a nice touch. Service was fine but not fabulous. The little salad and wonton appetizer was a nice way to start the meal. Fresh veg and great sweet chili sauce. Cute rice tower in the shape of a star. Not over-steamed. The red curry with beef was very good--the beef could have been a little more tender but the sauce was a nice balance of sweet coconut and spicy pepper. I went with some coworkers over lunch and they told the server it was my birthday (which was true!) and at the end of our meal she brought out a complimentary surprise dessert. I'm not sure what it was exactly...some kind of coffee cake with mango sauce on it paired with some vanilla ice cream with toasted coconut on top. An unexpected treat! Overall a solid pick for a mid-week lunch.

I love this place and have eaten many times since new owner changed name to Pla Too. This is 100% authentic food and the owner may even cook something special not on menu at your request. The flavors are wonderful, veggies and meat fresh and cooked just right, the amount of spice is perfect for me at 4 stars. I'm not a noodle guy but have tried all their awesome curries and the spicy salmon fried rice is also excellent. If you don't care about decor and just want great thai food at a good price, definitely give it a try.

This place is now known as PlaToo Thai Cuisine. Regardless, it was delightful! Our server was pleasant and very helpful with menu items. We had the lettuce wraps for an appetizer, which were fresh and oh so yummy. For dinner I had the tofu Pad Thai, which was so, so, so good. Perfect heat, perfectly cooked tofu. For dessert we shared the Mango Cake with ice cream. The mango cupcakes had just came out of the oven and were so incredibly delightful. Great meal, for sure!
(4)Carl C.
It was ok. The pad Thai was uneventful and the beef tasted weird. Serving sizes were on the small side.

Cute little place out in Millard. We started our meal off with lettuce wraps which was a perfect blend of cool and savory. I ordered the yellow curry (3 star spiciness: awesomely spicy!), a favorite stand by and was satisfied. I also tried the lemongrass chicken which was probably the best dish at our table. It has a nice zest to it and was perfectly spicy. I really like that the rice is served in the shape of a star. Who doesn't want food to look pretty AND taste good?? The Pad Thai noodles were quite delightful. I often experience pad Thai noodles that are either too mushy or too tough, but these were al dente to perfection. My favorite part about the meal was the portion size. It was so perfect! It seemed a little small in comparison to other places but I left feeling satisfied and happy. I feel like most Asian style cuisines over feed you and you're left feeling bloated and weighed down with a plethora of wasted food or leftovers.

Thai flavors are all about balance. I love a green papaya salad when I need a veggie fix. The one I had here was a perfect level 3 out of five spice as requested. The only drawback was the use of iceberg lettuce as the base... I'd rather pay 50 cents more and have romaine hearts. I also had fried tofu as an appetizer. they dust them with salt and and black pepper and a tiny bit of starch I think before frying them. Fantastic with the chili peanut dipping sauce. They do no give you too much of anything here... everything is just right. Portions. Heat, Dressing amounts. Sauce amounts. There is that balance thing again. You can have a good meal here and walk out without feeling like a slug. Gotta love that. And, no... I was not hungry 2 hours later!
(4)Christina P.
This was a fun place to go. The service was fantastic bc the waiter was super friendly, and we got our food very fast. The only downfall was the cilantro. I'm not a huge fan of cilantro, and it was in everything that I got: the spring rolls and my chicken fried rice. If I go back I need to remember to order my food without cilantro.

I am updating my review, adding 2 stars for their response after I wrote my review. The food quality itself is great. And their thai iced tea is also great. I was just unhappy with my orders as it was wrong once and there was a communication gap with my last order. Shortly after writing my review though they offered me 20 dollars off my next order, and apologized. I will definitely give them another chance.

A nice, cute family run place not far off of I-80. We were driving through and wanted a place with healthy Vegan cuisine and were pleasantly surprised. Food was very fresh with great service.
(5)Pradeep R.
I went here and ordered drunk chicken noodle, yellow curry and chicken satay for take out. Everything was good and the portions were large (of course the . The only aspect that I disliked was that capsicums were used excessively since I have never experienced in traditional Thai. Overall, this is a good joint and I would return.
(4)Gina B.
App: spring rolls were fresh and yummy. Entree: Beef basil was tasty, but a tad salty. Nice portions and fresh ingredients. Good food presentation and excellent service.

Tas is hit or miss for me. Some things have been great, and others not so great. For the price, I feel they could do better. A $15 dinner tastes like 8-10, and for the simplicity of ingredients in the dishes, they are making off like bandits. The Pad Thai i had today had 4 main ingredients, so 10 was OK but still a little pricey. The Chicken Curry Pasta had mushy overcooked noodles and was not very currish. $14 too much if you ask me. Perhaps this is my fault for usually using them as a take out service only. BUT in general, I only eat there once in a while mainly due to price, and the inconsistency in the food. Ok to try sometimes, but only on occassion. check out my review for Laos Thai Market , which I like a lot better and feel is more authentic.

It has been yeeeaaarrrrs since I came Ts. I was a bit disappointed. We had heard they were closing. When we walked in for lunch the all of the lights were turned off and no one there. They did find us a table and a few other groups trickled in after we got there. The prices for lunch seem high and the portions were smaller. The spring rolls are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Be careful because spicy is SPICY at Tas' and they will warn you of that. Don't that scare you. You need some spice on your food. I am hoping they don't close. They have been here for 13 years. Te quality is good, service is good, food is terrific. Probably the best Thai in town.
(3)Maureen W.
Ordered lettuce wraps which were great. We ordered garlic chicken which was good and I loved the green curry. Service was great as well.
(4)Caroline H.
Delicious! Found this place on Yelp when searching for a Thai restaurant open on a Sunday night... I like it spicy and they delivered- I cleaned my plate.
(4)Sabarish P.
We went there on the black friday afternoon. The place was empty and we were seated immediately. There was only one waitress at that time. Our orders were taken within couple of minutes. It took some time to get our food and i assumed that not many people were there to work at the kitchen( which was ok for us). The food here is really good and it has those pure thai flavors in it. The chicken satay lacked some taste in it and was a bit hard to chew. The thai yellow curry was really good as expected and also the spicy noodles. The dessert - fried bananas and ice-cream was the best comparing to other thai places. Overall nice place to have thai food.

I had read good reviews about the place so one afternoon as I was driving by with my kids trying to decide where to go we decided to stop in and have lunch. The place was deserted. The decor was fun, my kids thought it was neat. They gave the kids a bunch of small toys to play with while waiting for our meals which was smart because it sure took a LONG time to get our meals. Reminding you we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. The food was OK, nothing spectacular same as what I've had at less expensive Thai restaurants. I probably won't go again.
(2)Shawn G.
Tas's serves tasty Thai food and the BEST lettuce wraps in town, bar none. The last time we ate there, my wife and I both got separate orders of lettuce wraps because they are simply too good to share. The mango smoothies are also fantastic. Tas's uses a "star" system to rate the spiciness of their dishes. Orders can be made from 0-5 stars; 0 stars is the mildest, 5 stars is the hottest. NOTE: If you're like me and detest overly spicy things, do NOT go over two stars. If you do find yourself in over your head, so to speak, the aforementioned smoothies are great for soothing the flames of Thai goodness raging in your mouth. You're welcome. I would guess that the building itself is an old Pizza Hut, it seems like it SHOULD be run-down but is actually maintained fairly well. There's a massive lack of ambience of any sort, but that's pretty apparent walking in so you shouldn't be too surprised.
(4)Gary B.
Just okay. For the price and the quantity, the quality barely breaks even. Expect the service to be slow on the draw and even slower on the pick up.
(2)Andy M.
Stopped in for lunch around 12:45 on a Thursday. About half the tables were seated. I got the Yellow Chicken Curry lunch special. It was a whopping $9.50 before tax (normal price is $11) and it took about 15 minutes to prepare. If I ordered take-out from here again, I'd call ahead. Overall, I was very disappointed with the food I got for the money and the time spent waiting. There wasn't a whole lot of chicken, potatoes, or bell peppers - and what's worse, all the watery sauce had leaked out into the bag. Though the chicken was tender and good-quality as other reviewers have noted, it was bland, flavorless boneless skinless chicken breast. This combined with the watery sauce that was not spicy at all (which was not what I requested) made for an uninteresting dish. Worse, the pitiful amount of salad they gave me had steamed in the box for 10 minutes before I got to eat it, and it was also covered in yellow curry; would a separate container have killed them? While I was waiting, I took note of the dining room. There were just two servers walking back and forth (but NOT hustling). I saw a few people get up to fill their own water, several tables looking anxiously for their check, and one woman literally chase after her server to get her son's food. Not good signs. There is much better Thai food in both Omaha and Lincoln, and I wouldn't waste my time or money at this place again.

Real bomb. Massaman beef curry off da chain!
(5)Rachael O.
I went here for lunch last week. I was turned off because of the ambiance (there is none) and the building itself (run down). The food was good, but we were the only ones in there. It felt more like an old diner than a thai restaurant. The tea was sweeter than the typical Thai iced tea, but I liked it.
(3)Warang T.
I love this place!! I come here every tme I want to eat out! I am Thai, so I know Tas Thai Pepper cook great Thai food for me. My favorite are Summer Roll, Sukiyaki, and BBQ pork, but that does not mean i dont like others. I love everything here. And If you like spicy, u can always ask for it. They have the level for how spicy you want. I LOVE spicy so I always get spiciest :) As for drinks, I love to have Thai Tea here. It is sooo Good!! And if you have not tried the mango cake, you must try it out.. You will love it! Plus they are the best service. When I come to this restaurant, I feel as family. They treat their cutomers very nicly. I absulutely recommend this restaurant. I ensure you that you will not be disapointed!! :)
(5)Susan S.
I live in Fremont so I don't get to Tas's often but my niece is hooked on it so we go periodically. The lettuce wraps ARE great. I like the spicy dishes, especially the curry dishes. It's not fancy, but the food is very good. It is a bit on the pricey side, but not that bad. Worth going to.
(4)Oscar G.
Thai Pepper is a great place to eat Thai cuisine. Don't let the humble exterior of the restaurant fool you. The interior is clean and the service is good. Oh yeah, the food is as well. The fried tofu and the golden flowers (wonton wrapper cups with an avocado pico de gallo-style filling) are great appetizers. My favorite dishes are the Massaman Beef Curry, shrimp Pad Thai, and silver noodles (with beef), and I usually get three-star spiciness (out of five stars) Of course, their Thai iced tea is great, but you don't get free refills on those. As it is Thai food, the prices are a little steep, but you get what you pay for. Yes, sometimes the restaurant is a little empty, but who cares?
(4)Nick B.
This food is soooo good. I love the cashew chicken. My wife gets the pad thai. We love it. We've tried other thai places in the city, however, we always come back. Its delicious.
(5)N K.
Great food and good service. The Tom Yum soup tasted zingy like it had the authentic ingredients like lime leaves and not the lemony-limey versions you get at cheaper places. The meat dish I got was also very good.
(5)Matt J.
I would say this place is pretty good. I have had curry before and I say that this one was really good. You can order it as hot as you want. They have a star rating from one to five. I had a three star curry and it was just right. Not overly spicy to overpower the flavor but just spicy enough to make you sweat a little. Just be careful of the collateral damage if ya know what I mean.
(4)Jerri B.
This is my favorite Thai food in Omaha. I have zero complaints. If you're trying this for the first time, make sure to get the thai spring rolls, chicken lettuce wrap, and thai iced tea. My favorite thing to get here is the Massaman Beef Curry, Green Chicken Curry, Red Chicken Curry, or Thai Fried Rice. All are served with rice and a little side salad of shredded cabbage I believe. I have tried every Thai place in town and nothing compares to Thai Pepper. THAI PEPPER FOR THE WIN!!!!
(5)Mark Z.
A bit of a dive cosmetically but clean inside, with friendly and prompt service. Did was good and portions large. The lettuce wrap appetizer can feed two.
