Good pizza and beer. Played pool with no interuptioms. Waitress great!!! What more could you ask for?

The beer selection is great and the food is great. But more importantly, the staff here is wondrously attentive and are willing to engage customers. I sat at the bar expecting to pay only a few dollars, but after the joy of being there I spent much more. I loved my time here. The management and servers here deserve a great deal of praise for their hospitality.

I guess I should preface with the fact that I used to work at an Old Chicago (Ames) - so I'm probably biased in that fact. But come-on Ryan, the WBT is fantastic. I get free stuff for drinking fantastic beers? No scam there. And, a correction, only 4 beers in a day count towards your tour. It sucks, but it's a corporate attempt to be responsible, as I see it. If individual bartenders over-serve, that's a different issue. But can you think of anywhere around here where they cut someone off (unless they're falling down)? Now that I've completed my first 110 beer tour, I only partake in the mini-tours for t-shirts I like. Currently working on the Cinco de Mayo tour, but those count towards the full tour as well. That being said, the beer and t-shirt rewards are the only reasons I go to OC. Food isn't terrible, but not 4-stars or a reason to go there on it's own.

The greatest pizzas known to man are made inside Old Chicago! Do not pass an opportunity to delight yourself! Just don't!

This is a good place for a chain restaurant. Very corporate/professional type of place. Not as fun as it was when owned by Rock Bottom. At least they still offer a majority of the menu they used to.

Bad service. Waited twenty minutes after being seated before having to tell the host that nobody had come to our table to wait on us. After three people (none of whom introduced herself as our waitress) came to the table we finally got our drink order in. Not very impressive for even a chain restaurant.

Pros: Good food (not great), huge beer selection, Chicago sports! Cons: Greasy, not the best food Old Chicago is Omaha-style Chicago deep dish. If you are jonesing for Chicago pizza but are stuck in Omaha, Old Chicago is a way to satisfy your craving until you make it to the windy city. No, it's not Chicago quality deep dish, but Pepperjax isn't Philadelphia quality cheesesteak and I like it anyways, as I do Old Chicago. Good food, decent price, huge beer selection. I don't partake in the World Beer Tour, but I've known friends that have. Not a bad deal. I love how every Old Chicago has on Chicago sports, so it's fun to head over to one for Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, and Notre Dame games. I don't like the heavy quality of grease, which usually means I head home feeling bloated. Solid, three-star restaurant to get some decent pizza and cold beer.

I'm with Ryan on the quality of the food. Especially the calzones, which any time I ever had one were so overdone as to be like shoe leather. Haven't been to an OC in probably 7 years because of my experience at this one. Yuck.

With lots of beer on tap, great food, and a clean environment, it makes a great place for lunch or dinner. The pizzas, calzones, and wings are my favorite.

  • Jessica F.

This location is always clean and food is quick. Service, however, is spotty at best. I only come here for the late night menu which is well worth it! So if you're craving $2 pizza and $3 pints head over after 10pm daily.

Went to this location while in town this week on business. Beer selection is excellent like all OC's, and service here was top notch. First night Mike was our waiter and was the best waiter I've had in recent memory - friendly, knowledgeable about their beer selections, attentive but not invasive, the guy was literally just on his game. I come here often for work and will definitely be back. I wish they had an OC in San Antonio.

World of beers lost me... I must of came here on a off night and get no attention. I'm sorry you work 6- close. Doors are locked? At 12:30? Fail You're lazy

Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Food 4 Likelihood 4 1-5 (5 Best!) 4.0 Hey listen, we all know that the Old Chicago's in Omaha have not had a good "face lift" for years, and that can be ok as long as service and food are good. Today it was a quick lunch for two. The server was engaged, friendly and fun. She took very good care of us (and our refills and used dishes.) Food was hot, fresh and tasty. I was impressed. Today, it was a good choice for us to get in, get a good meal, and get out. A job well done. 30% tip

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW READ!! I sat at the bar and immediately noticed the man to my left was absolutely wasted. I told the bartender lady and sje noted on it and said she would cut him off. I they watched the man leave a five dollar tip then pull out his cell phone and fell asleep directly on the screen. Then he wakes up walks out. I follow him to see if hes getting in his car AND HE DOES. so i run back inside to get the manager. Noone in sight. It broke my heart to see that happen and to see how a bartender will do whatever for their tips here. NO LOVE!!!

I won't be back to this Old Chicago again. The waitress wasn't very good and the food was NOT up to par. I ordered a deep dish 12" pizza and for it to have huge bubbles and areas where there wasn't any cheese... Not ok. When someone pays over $20 for a medium pizza, it better be really good. The waitress didn't bring any extra plates for the appetizer. She didn't ask us if we needed more silverware or napkins. When I asked her for more time, she disappeared for 10 minutes (really?). She kept sitting with her boyfriend and not paying attention to her tables. What a bimbo. I spent $45.00 after tip and it was a waste. #disappointed

First off, my fiancé and I go to OC at least once a month. We usually go to one of the locations out west. Now I know why... Our waiter had absolutely no clue as to what he was doing. He took forever to take our drink order, then it took him a while to bring us our orders. Besides the super slow service and the cluelessness, he was actually fairly nice. The food.. Our mozzarella sticks tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for a while. They weren't even hot when we got them. We decided that this was a fluke and didn't want to be *those* customers. When our entrees came out the weren't any better. The burger was under cooked and the fries were cold and stale. The salad I had was hardly eatable. In fact I didn't even eat 1/3 of it. The lettuce was browned and not the romaine style like the menu stated. Needless to say we were EXTREMELY disappointed. We were trying to have more beers but since the food was so crappy we didn't want to stay longer than we needed to. And that's pretty sad because the beer was the best part about that dinner.

Always had pretty good food during our visits. Not very busy for a Saturday lunch. Enjoying a beautiful Spring day on their patio. Artichoke & Cream Cheese dip with fresh bread, red & green peppers & veggies is absolutely fantastic.

WOW, I just found another Old Chicago located here in Omaha. I was at the Eagle Run location yesterday and my work brought me to Cass Street Old Chicago. I had to stop in for a Cold Craft Beer and try the $6.95 Burger. I love this place, staff was friendly, food was outstanding and the Beer was just what I needed.

    (5)
  • Brett R.

I personally had terrible service both from the kitchen and the staff but the other 2 people in the party had good food. Now I know that a Stromboli and calzones are harder to make then a cheeseburger but they couldn't make it right twice and the waitress could have given two shits when I told her my burger was raw so I'm not going back to this OC again

  • Brian V.

I have been to this Old Chicago on many occasions. I have never received anything but courteous service and good food. Today is no exception. Old Chicago is definitely one great place to go if you want to drink beer. Great selection, and the selection is not stagnant. There is always something new to try. Sitting at the bar is a good choice. There are 4 large tvs there with various sports and sports shows. Old Chicago is like beer and pizza personified.

  • Khoa T.

Server dropped a pizza on my friend (on his birthday dinner nonetheless). She also knocked over a full glass of water in the process, subsequently making my other friend look like he peed himself. The whole situation was actually pretty funny until she just left and didn't even try to clean up the spilled water or give us napkins to clean it ourselves..thanks, lady. Our main waiter was really friendly and attentive though, so it sort of balanced it all out. The quality of the pizza I'd give 3-4 stars because it was actually pretty good, but having to cross a literal moat to get to our pizzas kinda marred the overall experience of the dinner. But besides the fact that we had to eat around a puddle of water for the whole meal, it was actually quite a tasty night. Nice outdoor seating too!

Interesting. I'm from the Chicago area, and the pizza here was pretty good. Pub fare is a bit of an extreme description - I'd say it's a chain-wanna-be fare, which is one or two levels up from "pub grub". We tried out the Italian Nachos, which were fried pieces of pizza dough, covered with mozzarella and provolone cheese, along with sausage, peperoni and hot peppers, which was pretty tasty, but was too much for two people by any stretch of the imagination. The pizza sauce in the center was plentiful, and tasted darn good. I ordered up the Chicago Style (thick crust) Double Decker, which had a healthy (well, unhealthy) amount of pepperoni, and a smattering of Dave's Red Hot Sauce which gave it a health zing. For drinks, we went for the 25 ounce version ($6.59) of beer. I ordered a Sam Adams Boston Lager, and it was fresh and refreshing. Overall, a nice place to visit on occasion.

Basic pub fare. Pizzas are good for the style they offer. Not NY or anything, but good. Drink specials and cold beers. Grilled wings also very good and the burgers tasty. Service was great and orders delivered promptly.

Disclaimer: I did used to work at this Old Chicago, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents It's really hard to beat the beer selection here (that goes for any Old Chicago) and as mentioned you can sign up for the free World Beer Tour and earn free stuff for drinking beer. The food is overall pretty good for this kind of restaurant, but it's all about your expectations. The specialty is pizza and beer, so stick with that. I think the burgers are pretty good as well. (Tip: In my opinion the Chicago Style crust is a great option, but try it with light or no sauce unless you're willing to deal with a possibly messy pizza.) Finally, as a past employee I can say that most of the people that work there are great and are really looking to have a good time with you. This store has a lot of awesome regulars that the staff knows by name and face and I remember times when regulars would bring in cookies or treats for the staff. I really enjoyed that kind of environment.

This is an old stand by stop for my roommate whenever she comes back to Omaha. We shared an individual pizza, which was plenty for the two of us. I had an house salad that actually had greens in it instead of iceburg lettuce and romaine veins. So this isn't real Chicago pizza, but an okay place to grab a quick bite to eat.

I like to drink beer. Not quite on the scary level of Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas, but the idea of belonging to a club that rewards you for drinking different kinds of beer sounded like a natural fit for me. Old Chicago has such a club, but I have come to discover that their Beer Tour is a racket to abuse people financially who abuse themselves with alcohol. If you drink more than 3 beers, only 3 can count towards your "tour". Old Chicago will serve you beer until you catch yourself drinking out of a urinal, you just can't count anything past 3 as part of the tour. Lame. Old Chicago gets 2 stars simply based on the fact that they have a pretty good beer selection. Unless you go during Happy Hour, however, everything is overpriced, and during Happy Hour, they cut their portion sizes on their food, which except for the calzones and pizza is as palatable as cardboard that a hobo used for toilet paper.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
