Some of the best food this side of the Mason-Dixon (I don't know if I used that right but I've heard it before so whatever). The environment is great, and my God is it the most perfect hangover food I've graced my mouth hole with. It helps that the people who own it are extremely nice and make sure everything you have is up to par. It may not look like a "typical" 5 star restaurant, but don't let that fool you. It's definitely worth the rating.

Nite Hawkes is truly an old style diner. Established in 1942 and run by the Hawkes Family. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Specials are available each day. Servers were friendly. Prices were reasonable. I tried the pasta and sausage with tomato sauce. Sauce was kind of plain, but sausage was tasty. Good sized portion and the lunch special comes with your choice of soup or salad. I chose the salad. Not an overly large salad bar, but decent choices. Good little place to drop in for lunch if you are working in the vicinity of 16th and Carter Blvd.

Love the atmosphere! Very laid back, old school. The staff is always friendly. It's not ritzy but the food is pretty good. Great place to have a relaxing dinner.

This place definitely has that old school small town cafe feel to it - and I love that. The staff took my order right away and I was out the door with breakfast for everyone at work quickly. A few people got french toast with a side of bacon. No complaints here and the side of bacon was very generous. Another chose the scramble which is eggs, sausage, mushrooms and peppers topped with gravy. No complaints again. Everyone enjoyed it and we will definitely be back.
