Staff is very friendly and the place is nice enough -- clean, etc. But the sandwiches are overpriced and mediocre. They're fine for what they are, which is unremarkable. They're pretty proud of Lenny Sauce or whatever it's called but I don't get the appeal. Given the fact that we have approximately 7,541 other sandwich options in this town Lenny's only stands out for its high prices.

Best cheesesteak hands down! The only loo koo thing is that they ask if you want lettuce with your chee steak? Wtf? If I was from philly I would have shtt on the floor.

I used to live down in Ft Lauderdale and there was and abundance of Lenny's shops. This was my favorite shop to go along with Miami sub's. Anyway, I walked into this midtown spot and ordered the steak philly as usual. I got the food quick since there was only one couple ahead of me. The meat was very tender and juicy but the onions weren't as caramelized as I wanted them to be. Still a solid sandwich in the heart of Omaha.

I didn't like their chicken salad at all. And they were very stingy in their portions.

Stopped in at Lenny's for lunch on a weekday. First time eating at this chain. Walk up to the counter and place your sandwich order. Four sizes of sandwiches to choose from along with three or so types of bread. I picked the Italian on wheat. You can get a 7 1/1 inch sandwich for $6.59 or a 10 inch for $8.29. Add chips and a drink for $2.29 more. Sandwich is delivered to your table. You pick up your own chips when you pay and get your drink cup. Sandwich was acceptable. Got it "Lenny's " style. Added free toppings of cucumbers and hot pepper relish. Chips are a specific brand for the store. Comes in several varieties. Chips are not kettle cooked, so I found their texture and taste to be rather plain except for the salt level which was pretty high. Everything was acceptable, but I will continue to get my sub sandwiches from another competitor. I enjoy their sandwiches and chips more.

I often come here for my lunch, after reading some of the reviews, I was like: wait a min, this happens? Well, true that their sandwiches are not the quality of jimmy johns but well ahead of subway, they don't move at the speed of light, and you don't get a mountain of meat. But I do think the portion are well sized, the ingredients are relatively fresh, the place is fully staffed for lunch hour during work days so you get your sandwich in 2-5min. Also, you need to go for the cold subs, the hot ones are too much of a mess and just ok.

Mile high turkey is very good. Fresh veggies, great bread, excellent turkey. I'm very picky about meat, and usually dislike deli meat, but lenny's turkey is sliced to order and very tasty. Staff is great and friendly too. I'll be back.

I went here today and I proclaim this sandwich shop 3 stars. The staff were definitely super friendly, all of them greeted us as we walked in. There is a lot on the menu but not so much that it overwhelms you. I ordered the "#5" club sandwich which I was overall very satisfied with. The only complaint is you can't see them putting on veggies/condiments on your sandwich and mine definitely was lacking. I like my veggies and lots of them please. I felt that this shop is a little on the pricier side for a sandwich shop I think I could have gotten a better deal at (dare I say it) Subway/JJ's? They also got their own chip line going like JJ's/Potbelly's Sandwiches (which is my ultimate favorite sandwich shop BTW.) I tried the sour cream and onion one and it was delish with my sandwich. I'd say if you're in the midtown area and gots a sandwich craving you can come here and get it taken care of! Oh, and +1 for the crispy bacon. YUM!

I have to say I had a much different experience than the others that wrote reviews. Seeing the good reviews was the reason we tried this shop. From the moment I walked in the door the red haired guy was extremely annoyed that we inconvenienced him by walking in the door. Our sandwich bread was stale and definitely not fresh and had the thinnest sliced meat possible and barely enough to cover the roll. I would recommend taking your business to Jimmy Johns or Which Which or any other sandwich shop. My husband compared their sandwiches to gas station sandwiches. So disappointed as I really had been looking forward to a good sandwich.

The staff is rude and lazy. We had one guy there seem like he hated his life. They are constantly understaffed and their sandwiches are absolutely nothing to write home about. If you go on the weekend and there are 2 people ahead of you in line, just forget it and go someplace else because it'll take them at least 15 minutes to get you a sandwich.

The staff was super helpful. Once we told them we were first timers they explained the menu and ways to save money. Once finished eating they jumped up to help us and even wrapped our leftovers. The only down fall was that the soda mix was a bit off.

Went here at 3:30pm on a Monday. My boyfriend and I were the only ones there. I got a chicken philly which was dry an tasteless. Pepperjax is way way better. Did get it for $5 though with UNO ID

Fresh. Fresh. Fresh..... I tried Lenny's for the first time yesterday. I wasn't too adventurous, and ordered the #2 Italian Sub and had it 'Lenny's way'. Added chips and a drink and it came to 9 dollars and change. I tried the Jalapeno chips, and they were great. I'm no wimp when it comes to spicy foods, and these were noticeably spicier (in a good way) than most jalapeno chips I've had. As for the sub, everything was deliciously fresh, from the bread to the meats and cheese to the toppings. Even though it seemed slightly higher priced than JJ's, I think I found my new favorite sandwich shop. I'm anxious to try some of the hot sandwiches on the menu.

Very disappointing. In the middle of ordering the counter help stopped taking our order to make plans with his friend. We should have left. When the subs arrived we were very disappointed. We ordered the vegetarian and the cheese was paper thin. $16 dollars for two subs that was just lettuce and bread . I will not return.

One of my favorite sandwich chains. After having eaten Lenny's in the Memphis airport and other cities years ago, I was excited to see that Nebraska finally got one! I have not tried any of their hot items, but their subs (not their kaisers, mind you, but actual submarine sandwiches) are my ideal of what a good sandwich should be. They slice all the meat fresh just for your sandwich, right in front of you. Then you get a nice layer of vegetables, sauce, and other toppings to your liking. I tried the hot pepper relish today and was hooked. They were friendly enough to offer it on the side to this noob. So really - let's be honest - it's like a high-class Subway, but with better quality ingredients and a few other options (though probably just as much sodium when all is said and done). Also, all the chips are their own. Maybe not your ideal if you're a Frito-Lay stockholder, but I appreciate the variety. And finally, let's not forget: Coke Freestyle machine! Really a good place for lunch and reasonable prices for Midtown. Really almost competitive with Jimmy John's... well, maybe $1 more. My only complaint is with the ordering process. It's the same as other Lenny's I've been to, but makes less sense in this location. Maybe there's a method to this madness when they're busy. Anyway, you go up to the first register to order - just the base items, but NOT your sandwich toppings. Then they print out a ticket for you to take down the line. Next, you wait for the sandwich maker to make your sub and tell them what you want on it. Finally, you hand the ticket to the cashier and pay. Seems convoluted, but it works and probably makes more sense if hot items are on the ticket. Give Lenny's a try if you're tired of Jimmy John's and Subway. I for one am glad to have them in the market.

Old stale bread...the veggies were not fresh at all...just one very thin slice of meat...way overpriced for such a small unhealthy and disgusting sandwich. The male employee with the red hair and the glasses was very rude and unhelpful. This is definitely one of the worst sub shops in Omaha. Don't waste your time and money with Lenny's subs if fancy some delicious sandwich or a friendly welcoming service.

I love this sandwich shop. All the meat and cheese is cut fresh right in front if you and piled high on always fresh bread. The mile high turkey is true to its name, a great tasting sandwich made with care. The staff here is great and the shop itself is very clean. For those stopping by for lunch during work, the bathrooms still smell brand new and are always clean. I highly recommend trying this place out!

Great place for college kids to watch sports and eat quality (and cheap!) subs. Very friendly service (one time they brought out complimentary watermelon) and always genuinely interested in the customers. I'd definitely recommend this place for great food and great times!

We had the veggie and buffalo chicken sandwiches on white bread. The staff were friendly and helpful, but very slow. I'm glad we weren't there during the lunch rush, if there is one. Both sandwiches were just sort of blah. Not much taste to them. Left me wanting to be at Subway for a couple bucks less per sandwich, and a whole lot more taste.

The service was great - the sandwich was okay. Only my first time going though - so I only have one sandwich to judge. I ordered the meatball sandwich because the pictures of it looked soooo good. Sanwich split in the middle - cheese slices starting in the middle and hanging over the edge, meatballs lined down the middle and sauce all over it. Now I appreciate that I had the wheat bread option, but it was served, laying on the side - meatballs cut in half I honestly have never - only what appeared to be a couple of slices of cheese that the meatballs had been put on and a little bit of sauce. Hindsight being 20/20 - I should have sent it back and asked for more sauce and cheese as shown in the picture, but I didn't. I will still be back to try other things as I like the location and they are also promoting their steak and cheese philly's and I love a good philly.

Least interesting sub sandwich I've had in a very long time. I can't think of any reason I'd bother going back.

Pretty good place to grap a sandwich. The service was great-the staff was friendly and attentive. I had the philly cheesesteak and my husband had a french dip. For the cheesesteak the meat was moist and hot, not dried and reheated like I've had at other places, As for the french dip-tt was definately one fo the best ones we've for a chain restaurant. We will be going back!
