Not sure what has changed here recently, but every part of this place has gone downhill rapidly. The restroom cleanliness isn't up to par, the service is considerably slower due to a lack of staff, and the food quality is almost inedible now. Really sad considering this used to be our go to option for Chinese food in west Omaha.

The food is delicious. Usually. The service is good. Unless it's really busy. Also, they have let their website lapse, and they don't post their menu online - so trying to come up with it (if you don't have one at home) was a pain in the a$$ for me. Lucky for you, I did the legwork. You can google DrEats.com and find it. The owners need to overcome their apathy and get on the ball. Good food in this town - it's everywhere. Only service and passion for your food/business keeps me coming back. Get on it.

Prety nice place. Pretty much original as the people have strong Chinese accents and can barely understand what they say.... Good food!

First time to try.....went on a Sat night around 7:00pm. Only a few other tables, surprisingly for that day and time. Service was great and food was delicious! I have been looking for a good Asian restaurant on this side of town. I think I found it!

As far as I remember, several businesses occupied this location. It went from an optometrist to a Chinese restaurant. From a Chinese restaurant to another Chinese restaurant. From THAT Chinese restaurant to J.C. Mandarin. I decided to try it today and was impressed. It wasn't busy at the time, so I was immediately seated and had my order taken. The egg drop soup was great (they have it, even though it's not on the menu) and the General chicken tasted great. Unlike the breaded chicken fingers I'm used to seeing at Applebees, they had a light breading with sauce and fresh vegetables. My complaint? Just the portion size for the price, especially since Chinese food makes me hungry after I step out of the restaurant. But that's to be expected. Excluding tip, I paid less than $10. If you come here during lunch, expect their prices to be around $9 for entrees.

Worst service! Walked in with four other members of my family (my husband, elderly mother and two teens). There was one server and another person handling the bar and take out orders. A couple, that walked in after us, was seated before us. They were recognized by the waitress so they must have been regulars. The couple's drink order was taken (wine and martini) and also served. The table next to us had a drink refilled, was given their bill and gave the server their credit card. We were ignored by the server this entire time. She never acknowledged us once we were seated or said she'd be with us in a moment. Any acknowledgement would have worked. So we closed our menus and listened to the woman handling the take out orders (owner/manager) shout at the customers on the phone. We tried to at least have a conversation at our table but the the owner/manager shouted was very loud. After we sat there with our menus closed, and were ignored by the server as she passed by our table 6 times, we started to get and our server bolted to our table. Too late. We left and drove to another Chinese restaurant to receive friendly service and great food at a lower price and no shouting.

Nice place! Wait staff was average. Lots of menu items to choose from and portions are great for having extra to take home.

Easily some of the best Chinese food I've had in Omaha. Service is fast and they are all very polite. My favorite dish is their peanut butter chicken. Crab Rangoon is a must purchase. Highly recommended.

You get a lot for your money! At least two meals worth. The chicken or pork lo mein is awesome, as well as the broccoli beef. The only thing that I wish they would add is none of the meals include rice, so I always have to buy a small side. Great crab ragoons

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
