I was a huge fan of this place when I lived and worked in Lincoln and have been going to this one whenever I'm in Omaha as it's right by my mother-in-laws house. My wife always gets the bean burrito... seems boring to me, but they are pretty damn good. I always get something new as I have liked everything I have ordered. I got the hash brown burritto this last time with sausage, bacon, hash browns, cheese and sour cream and it was really good.

I work the 3rd shift and D'Leons is the only place to go. I order the Super Fries and is a great deal of a MEAL! Enough for two and tasty as can be!!!! Chimichungas are a meal by itself also. I GOTTA GO THERE!

Steak and eggs burrito always hits the spot after a fun night with friends. Had no idea this place was there. Dont really travel alot on 114th. Tasty food and great people that work there. Will stop by again for lunch or dinner to try other items on menu.

Havent been in this place in awhile... had a bad experience before. Seems like it has gotten better. Food was good and pretty inexpensive. Had a salsa bar and a nice menu. Only going to give it three stars today because of previous visit but if it performs again... will move up to 4 stars.

The kid working behind the counter was kinda shitty with me at first. I must have made my "really" face because he chilled out. Good food, given its fast mexican food. Customer service....step it up a little.

I'm here from Florida. Wanted Mexican as Tampa is mainly Cuban. Ordered Chicken quesada, beef burrito and added a beef taco to the order. We went inside to order though they have a drive there is some difficulty with language communication. Brought food home. All was good until I got to the taco! $3.00 in the trash: extremely dried out meat, shell was old, stale and greasy.

The convenience of having a 24 hour Mexican restaurant is nice, but I try to only eat here after going out for drinks because I can get better Mexican food elsewhere.

I ordered the #8 Carne asada platter, was really good, enjoyed it, only complaint is that the soda machine doesn't have ice in it, had to ask staff for this & there was a problem with understanding the request

The food was great - but service was difficult because of the language barrier. So when I asked a question about a menu item I couldn't get an intelligible answer. So just be prepared to order and not ask anything unless there's an English speaker there or you are bilingual. The only other weird thing was the Styrofoam cups had a bizarre smell to them so my pop smelled weird as a result. So the only thing bringing this review up to 3 stars was the food itself was really fantastic. And they give you a lot.

It's a far distant relative of the location in Lincoln which I frequented often during my younger years. I did go through the drive through to get take out for my wife and I. The microphone must have been broken because I couldn't here a damn thing the dude was saying and apparently he couldn't here either because I ordered 2 grilled chicken burritos and only received 1. But never mind all that. I don't know if they put crack in their hot sauce but I'm hooked for life. It was such a good addition to the already great burrito. And all for 7 bucks? A steal I tell ya. If d Leon's keeps making late night mouthgasms for Omaha they will last a long time . If there is one thing this town likes to do it is drink. And D Leon's is there for you with everything your drunk ass needs. Bravo to you D Leon's Bravo I say.

I wish this place was as good as the locations I've been to in Lincoln. I love the green chile burrito there. In Lincoln, I mean. Here, it was really too capsaicin-laced for my taste. I can tolerate a bit more heat than most of the people I know. This was moving into heat-junkie territory. But for all that heat, it lacked much of the delicious green chile flavor I'm used to from the stores in Lincoln. Shame. I ordered a chile relleno on the side, and that was just plain bad. Been in the fridge a bit too long, and the sauce tasted like Old El Paso. All in all, I'll stick with Abelardo's in Omaha, though I do think D'Leon's in Lincoln outshines it. Too bad they didn't bring their A-game to Omaha.

This is typical San Diegan style mexican food. Great after the bar. Best guacamole in Omaha. Why? Because it's just pureed avocado and seasoning. Fish taco is good, but messy. Ask for extra napkins. Go to the window to order. The food is WAY better than their English.

Absolutely my favorite place to go for authentic Mexican food (and the best hot sauce around) here in Omaha. As good as, and as close as, you can get to the hole-in-the-wall sketchy (but out of this world delicious) Mexican taco shops I'm use to back home in San Diego. The "salsa" bar is a hot sauce connoisseurs gift from heaven - unlimited access to several flavors of DELICIOUS fresh hot sauce? Yes, please. Their burritos are excellent, huge and stuffed with fresh meats and the best refried beans I've had out here. Their enchiladas are amazing too, but their nachos are my favorite (just add lettuce). Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with ordering anything from their menu. Go here hungry and eat until your stomach hurts, because, it's almost unavoidable!

While I loved going to Dleons in Lincoln, the location here is less friendly and flavorful. Can't complain too much considering the price and being open late but the potatoes locos wasn't even seasoned. At all. Also they have forgotten parts of my orders before and tonight when they forgot salsa they snapped at me. I don't know if it was that particular worker or what. But I don't think I'll be going to that location.

Got called out to work late one night and was starving on the ride home so I popped in to grab something. This was my first time at D'Leon's and I wasn't overly impressed. I got a taco/enchillada plate that came with rice and beans. I asked for a cheese enchillada and they gave me chicken, and the sauce seemed a bit off. The taco was good and the rice and beans were ok. I've had better quick service mexican before. I'd try it again but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

The first couple of times I've been to D'leon's was pretty good. I got the super fries once. Then enchiladas on another visit. Pretty decent food with a good amount of extra jalapeños, carrots, & pico de gallo, when you ask for it. And that's a must for me! But this last time was pretty bland and my bf agreed. He had the super fries & I had the Tamale meal which comes with rice and refried beans. I honestly wasn't impressed this time around. The service is always friendly and fast though! But not sure it's enough to make me want to return any time soon... or at all??? Idk. I think I'll just stick to my good ole favorite from now on, Abelardos!

I have heard all the wonderful stories and as a taqueria addict, I wanted so much to get over here some time. THEN, an employee brought me a breakfast burrito and I was hooked. BEST breakfast burrito I have EVER had. I made it over for lunch yesterday and had an abadado burrito and a carnitas burrito and both were PERFECT and and what I would expect from a top notch taqueria. I look VERY forward to going back and checking out more of the menu including the taco special of pastor, lengua, tripe and more!!!!!

Had to give them another chance and either my shrimp just were not cleaned or someone was attentive this time, great Mar Tierra Burrito and I'm back to regular stops.

This was my first trip to D'Leon's, and the number of items on the 'menu' made me a little unsure of what to order. I have heard about the great burritos, but I decided to go basic and ordered the shredded beef taco and enchilada plate that comes with the standard refried beans and rice. I felt that the taco was ok and the enchilada was just fair, although I must admit that I've been spoiled by recent stops at a few better places in the heart of south Omaha. The beans and rice were above average, and the choices at the salsa bar were very good. I'll probably stop in again due to the fact that it's location is very convenient for me, but if I'm in the mood for great Mexican food, I'll drive another 20 minutes to south Omaha.

Well folks, it looks like the D'Leon empire from Lincoln has decided to expand their territory to help feed the malnourished and famined citizens of Omaha. I gave this place due diligence by reading through the other Yelp reviews and my conclusion is that you either loooooove this place, or would rather eat pure pink slime... Here are my thoughts... First of all, look at the address. Davenport street?? huh?? Let me tell you a better address - right across the street from The Green Onion. Yes folks, it is now possible to get completely hammered at the Green Onion, which can be done with only two drinks, and avoid the cops by crossing the street over to D'Leon's for some 24/7 lard lined guac filled burritos, sure to sober your drizunk A up! The portions are obnoxiously large (please see the fat yeti baby sized picture) and although I'm giving this place three stars for the taste of the food, you won't care when you are wasted. So is this place authentic? I don't like to rate places based on authenticity because it is possible to have authentic crap. But if it matters, these guys barely speak English which gives this place a little charm. Here is how my order went: Server: Aiyaiyaiyaiiiii D'Leons! Me: umm.... yeah, ok. I'll have the Surf and Turf burrito and a carne asada taco. Server: Saaa y Taaa??? Me: .... yeah... like surf and turf.... Server: *complete confusion* Me: ....... it's on the menu.. I'm just reading it verbatim... Server: Huevos burrito? Me: ?? No! Non!! SURF AND TURF!! Server: *Comes around the counter to look at the menu I'm reading from* Me: *Thinking to myself... should I have rolled my r's when I said burrrrrito?* Server: Oooooooooooh!!! You mean brrrrrrr y crrrrrrraiyaiyai burrrrrito!!! I had no clue what he said, but know your god damn menu!!! I say this in semi-anger, but it was actually really funny. Anyway, the taco was good but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much crap on top (see picture). Like... would you like a taco with all your pico de gallo... The burrito was freshly made and decent. The guac had swirls of brown in it so I didn't touch it.... I'm not sure what's wrong with the Lincoln locations, but I watched them make my food and it was NOT picked out of a garbage can. The burrito was so big it should have its own zip code. Despite the obesity promoting size, I liked the flavours and if you are already drunk you will worship this think like a golden calf (just don't let Moses know....) One more thing that I liked is the fact that this place has an entire row for people eating by themselves. You'll know when you see it, but I like to go eat by myself sometimes so I can talk to greasy food instead of humans; this place has the perfect seating arrangement for that. So, is it the best mexican food ever?? no. But worth checking out at 3am when everything else is closed and your stomach cannot take anymore Taco Bell.

I was so happy when I found out it was a D'Leons around the corner from my house. I can never go wrong with a carnitas burrito or even a carne asada. 100 times better than any Taco Bell, Taco Johns or any other fast food Mexican chain.

I was in the mood for a burrito, and I am not from around here I will try any new place. It wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite. I felt like the burrito I bought was missing a flavor. I am used to having all my Mexican food taste like it is homemade. When it comes to Mexican food I get really picky on how my food is made.

I keep giving this place a chance during day light hours thinking that it will magically match my romantic drunken love affair that I have with the ones in Lincoln. I've now come to realized that this is an amazingly great place at 2am. 2 pm, not so much.

I had the carne asada burrito. That is all it was. A bunch of meat in a tortilla. It was a pretty big burrito, but it should have been for the price. At least they have a salsa bar, but even that didn't add much flavor. It probably would taste better late night after a few drinks, but actually I could see eating here every few months.

Always loved D'Leon's in Lincoln and it's nice having it in Omaha. I had the Adobada Burrito platter and it was very good. Also had to go with the Jamaica (Hibiscus) tea which was also very good.

Food is decent, I feel the taco's are a little expensive for what you actually get. Its a better deal to go with the rolled with cheese or guac. I won't go here anymore though. Its too difficult for them to understand english and your order is messed up quite a bit.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
