Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Stopped in again and all I can say is yummy...really. If you are downtown and want a great sandwich at a great place here it is. I will be back. 1

I'm thinking about making a list called My Coworkers Only Eat Bland Food : So Don't Get Excited About Lunch Today. And Doozy's would be on the list along with the entire Brandies food court, Jazz Louisiana Kitchen and the Upstream. There's not much more on the list because they only go to the Brandies and Doozy's, no really, every day. Why not branch out and get bland Chinese (Panda House) or bland Indian (Flavors {misnomer}), bland pizza (Sgt Pfeffers). There are so many choices for this list I can't handle it. In case you end up here with the hungers I'd get the meatball pasta bake. And it must be the meatball one otherwise it's just some noodles and red.

Doozy's is a great sandwich place to have lunch downtown. The oven toasted sandwiches are great and so is the pizza. I love the $5.99 special offer that they have daily which includes a 7" sandwich, bag of chips and a fountain soda. There is not alot of interaction with the staff so the customer service is evidenced by the short wait times (even at peak lunch time) and the food being consistently good.

I used to really like their sandwiches, but the last few times they have been dissapointing. First, the menu is vague as to which toppings are on the sandwiches. I typically ask before ordering. The sandwich I received today was not the smothered turkey it was supposed to be. It was missing the promised lettuce, tomato, mushrooms and cheese?! Taking it to go, I didn't realized the lack of toppings until I was back at my desk. Their pasta hasn't let me down, but the sandwiches have really lost their appeal. The meat is a pressed turkey and very skimpy with the toppings. I like their toasted bread, but that's about it. Too bad the quality has declined, they used to be great! From now on, I will stick with the baked pasta if I come back again.

Visiting the city and decided to pop into Doozy's for a bite to eat. The lunch special for a pizza sub, chips, and drink for $5.99 caught my eye. The man behind the counter (Perhaps the owner?) was quite friendly and more than happy to accommodate my vegetarian needs. My pizza sub with green peppers came hot and the toppings tasted fresh; was served in a basket with a pickle. Not sure what I was expecting, but the meal was more of a French bread pizza. Tasty nonetheless, but did not blow me away. Is receiving an imperfect score because the restroom was in need of a thorough cleaning. Would probably return again, as the area doesn't seem to have a ton of quick-service restaurants, the price was fair, and the food and service was good.

Best sub shop in Omaha always leave full and happy no matter which sub I try. If you are a fan of Italian subs or big greasy meaty subs that make you wonder why you ever ate at subway make this place a priority.

Stopped in and had a chicken bacon ranch sandwhich. It was reasonably priced and tasted damn good.

The subs here are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! aThey are nothing too extravagant but high in quality and great in price. I live right down the street from this place and it is hard for me not to go multiple times a week.

I thought my coworker was crazy when he kept talking about Doozy's and how delicious it was. I thought it didn't even sound like a real place and how could I not know about it if, in fact, it was so amazing... My opinion dictates only three stars for the following reasons: 1. Each time I eat here it reminds me of watching American Idol. Seems like a good idea at the time, but afterwards you stop and think... wait, what did I just do? 2. It was fine when I worked downtown and I probably ate here 10 or so times, but since I don't anymore I haven't been back. 3. Their chicken sandwich is called Chicken & Mayo for a reason. 4. No matter what else I tried, nothing is better than the smothered chicken. (Which is both good, and bad I guess). 5. Sides are touch and go. Sometimes good, sometimes lacking.

A long time ago when I was a graduate student in Lincoln, I used to like to get hot sub sandwiches at a little place called Doozy's. This was long before Quiznos and Subway purchased oversized toaster ovens and doubled the price of their sandwiches for 30 seconds of convection heat. I moved to Omaha, but the memory of many good sandwiches at Doozy's lingered. When I discovered Doozy's in downtown Omaha, I first thought that I was hallucinating. I was not, unless my hallucinations are served hot and toasty with Sun Chips on the side. Doozy's has great hot subs and pizza. The only lame part is that they are only open for lunch at this point and only during the week! What if I have a craving?

Love the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub! Great customer service and friendly people!

7" sandwich + pop and chips for $5.99 was a pretty good deal. It takes a few minutes to prepare because the sandwiches are oven-baked.
