Has some big pluses for sure. They have every imaginable sport playing all the time. The beer selection is pretty good. The waitstaff has always been pretty courteous and attentive. My real gripe with the place is that the food isn't any good. It's all bar food, which I have no qualms with, but none of it is prepared very well. The fried stuff is usually dry or soggy and the burgers didn't look very good either. I don't hate the place but I won't be suggesting it either.

If you find yourself Downtown, but just have to watch that game, come to DJ's Dugout. I have had some friends and some visitors come with me to DJ's because the other spots we go to didn't have or wouldn't put a specific game on. the last time it was for a Golden State Warriors game that a friend from The city wanted to catch. It wasn't on at upstream or anywhere else so we trekked to Dodge St. and found our way inside. The shear amount of TVs in here is simply amazing. There were many of the screens showing the same game with sound in the lower spot. I asked if we could get the Warriors game on and the guy at the bar put it on 3 HUGE screens, but it felt isolated in the upper back part of the bar. It worked for about ten minutes, but we were invisible to the young lady that was to wait on us. We conceded and sat in the lower main floor section and settled for a smaller screen with no sound. The food is just above mediocre and there is almost nothing for an Herbivore. the beer selection is also pretty lacking, having to settle for a BLVD Pale Ale. Maybe this is what sports folks like, but I don't know. I like the X Games and doubt they would play them on a large screen with sound. I guess that is what the internet is for

I really enjoy coming to DJ's Dugout downtown. Whether it's to watch football on Sunday or to get the $8.99 steak special on Thursday night. There is always a friendly face to serve you drinks and plenty of sports action to feed the urge of any sports fan's need of a fix! Free wifi for any sports nerds that want to have a live fantasy draft party and the piano bar is just next door!

DJ's Dugout is a bastion of giant TVs, sports bar food, served with a smile! The specials make the food downright cheap but I felt like the quality was definitely still there, regardless of price. I was in town for a conference and decided to walk the few blocks to check out DJ's on a recommendation from the new-in-town barista at the doubletree. It was Monday and on Monday, burgers are BOGO (buy one, get one free) *OR* 50% off your burger! While they seem equivalent, they aren't since you could go in alone and eat your emotions without needing a dining companion. I got the buffalo burger which came out with a zippy tangy buffalo sauce and melted bleu cheese crumbles. My coworker got the A1-peppercorn burger and seemed happy with his pick. The fries were hot, drinks were cold and service was good. What else could you ask for? I'd definitely recommend DJ's if you're looking for a sports bar.

This place was great!! Great atmosphere and great place to watch the game. It was a bit pricey though and we had the small tacos. When they say small they mean it, our tacos were about 2inches long and maybe a bit more than an 1 inch high.

Stopped in here for lunch, and was very pleasantly surprised...sometimes places like this can be a real mess, other times they do a great job...For me, DJ's has what I now consider one of the best burgers I've ever had...It's called The Hangover Burger and if you've never tried it, your missing out...It's a burger with bacon, egg,and if you get it Spicy, then they throw jalapenos, spicy chipotle mayo/sauce and pepper jack cheese on it...Naturally this is how I ordered it...It almost brought tears to my eyes, though that may have been the jalapenos...I also got onion rings with it which were actually quite good...Couldn't have been happier with the meal...the server, Jessica, was also quite friendly and pleasant...I would most definitely come back here...

Love all the tv screens for the football games. Waitress was a little slow on taking my order but food was good bar food. Will come back if I'm back in Omaha.

Decent place to hang out. Had a couple of drinks and a chicken patti melt. Chicken was slightly overlooked, but not terribly so. Beers are large and waitstaff was super friendly. Will stop by again!

My husband and I stopped here en route to the airport because my Dad told us it was a good place. There's like, 1,000 tv's in here! Definitely a great place to come to watch any sporting event. We're assuming they had a shortened menu because a hockey game was being played at the Quest Center, and the restaurant was reeeeeally busy. Not a ton to choose from, but our food was great and came quick. It's seat yourself, but our waitress was awesome. Really nice and accommodating, especially after we asked to move to see the tv's better. Didn't give 5 stars because I wish they had some kind of drink menu...with prices...and I kind of thought their prices were a little high. My 6 wings were great, but $10 for them? Good luck finding parking, too. We had to pay $8 to park a block away. *sigh* Big cities.

DJ's is by far the best atmosphere for sports in town. No other place saturates your senses nearly as much. The recent vegetarian friendly additions to the menu are much appreciated and have good flavor.

Came to watch a game, service was good until she learned we weren't eating; only drinking. Had empty beers for over 10mins. I understand it was busy and she had a lot of tables but cmon. We're still paying customers. Finally had to ask another server to send her over because she kept hanging out with the tables on the other side of the room. I would probably come back, but would eat so I can get better service

I really don't know how they keep opening new locations. It must just be because of all the tv's and people coming in for those. Normally we avoid this place at all costs but a friend of a friend's band was playing so we went. We hadn't ate dinner yet so we decided to just share an order of nachos. After the waitress finally showed up (after sitting there for almost five minutes) we ordered drinks and the nachos. We could have gotten better nachos from Taco Bell. There was hardly any ground beef on them and the cheese they use is so bad and put off so much grease all but a couple chips were soggy. The only good part of them were the jalapeños, which they piled on. I'm pretty sure the salsa they serve on the side is a generic version of Pace. Actually, now that I've typed all this, I'm not sure why I'm even giving them a two star rating.

I had the Prime Melt and fries last night and they were excellent!! The service was fast and friendly. The Creighton fans were enthusiastic and easy to talk to. Mark. S. from Naples .

This is a review primarily for Blazing Pianos.. We definitely were not impressed. On a "busy" Saturday night there was only 1 waitress and the bartender was always gone when I went to the bar. The $7 cover is absolutely ridiculous considering that the performers could pretty much only play music from the 80s. Overall it wasn't a place I would return too, which sucks because I usually love piano bars

  • Mitch L.

The place really needs to take off the part of their sign that calls itself Blazing Pianos. Went there for a friend get together for the holidays to see the pianos play and were then told the only location that plays pianos is the Dodge location.

Went to the new one at 180th and Q. Food was good, the service was horrible. Our waitress spent more time talking to her boyfriend who was sitting in a large booth by himself, with his computer and a glass of water. Every spare minute she was talking to him, sitting at his table. She never once asked if we need a refill on our drinks. I really hate bad service.

My review is only for the blazing piano side. Fun, fun, fun!! We were there to celebrate a birthday and have s freakin' blast. The server was super fun (the other server must have been new because she seemed a little...umm......scattery) and on top of things.

Similar sentiment to the location at 114th, but better. The Old Market was definitely in need of something like this, and now I don't have to drive out west to go to a decent sports bar. The food, while typical (burgers, nachos, chicken sandwiches) is good, service is friendly, and the sheer quantity of televisions and projectors is impressive to say the least. The overall feel of the space is good too, with exposed brick and plenty of windows it's definitely fitting for downtown. Just be aware of the parking situation, considering its proximity to the Qwest center, in addition to being downtown, you can imagine there might be some hoofing it associated with a trip here.

I had a burger and it was very good. The bartender was friendly and suggested a really great beer - Lucky Bucket Heartland Wheat (seasonal). Tons of big screen TVs to enjoy whatever game you want.

Great for what it's intended to be....a sports viewing venue. If there's a big game you want to watch somewhere other than your living room, this is the place to do it. If you want to watch some obscure sports broadcast, something tells me they could find it and get it on one of their screens...and they have LOTS of screens. TV screens, every size (several are enormous) cover LITERALLY every inch of the walls. Noise level is a little higher than some places because of this but you didn't come for the conversation anyway. We were here for the Nebraska and Creighton 2014 Basketball tournament games and it was standing room only+. Amazingly we never ran out of beer or food at our table, despite the obviously service-taxing size of the crowd. (Good job wait staff and bartenders!) Wide selection of beers and the menu is better than you'd expect-way more than your typical fried "bar food" selections. I recommend any of the burgers or the chicken sandwich with pineapple. Fries are thick cut, flavorful and HOT when they come out-no skinny sticks here. Great location to meet up before or after your downtown events.

Came specifically for the Creighton Game bc wasn't on TV only Internet. BlueJay Banter recommended and we called to confirm would be on. They didn't turn the game on any TV's until we complained and was 10 min after tip off. Then was on the tiniest screen. My home TV is bigger. Service was lackluster and food is standard bar food but lots of BlueJay fans complaining around me. Will definitely pick another spot for BlueJay basketball next time.

Came here on the top of some colleagues. Something about cheap drinks. How cheap? Read on. The interior is quite spacious, though I can see this place filling up during game nights at the nearby TD Ameritrade Center. It was nice and quiet when I was there. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We left her a big tip at the end. This place has a ridiculous amount of TV screens. There was a wall with 14 of them. Yes I counted. And that is ONE wall. Drinks here are ridiculously cheap. $3 for a highball, and $5 for a double? Are you serious?? And NO TAX in Nebraska! Some places back home charge more for pop! As I didn't try the food, I can't comment. But this is my new favourite drinking hole in Omaha.

While I was in Omaha on a business trip I stopped here a few times. The food and drinks were good and there were many tvs. The service was excellent I sat at the bar and the bartender was a big guy. He was great made sure our drinks were full and was a great guy to talk to about the area. Also saw a Nebraska football game and the crowd was really into it.

The staff was nice and the televisions are great for watching sports, here comes the buttttt......the food is so horrible, I have tried it several times and it truly is gross.

I went on Whiskey Wednesday. $3 Jack,Jim,Crown or doubles for $5. What did you just read??!! Yes, DOUBLE WHISKEY (JIM,JACK,CROWN) for $5 on Wednesdays. Go for the drinks-not the food. Plenty of sports on 1 of 90 screens. Will be back

Rude, waitress...Krissy Restaurant food was of poor quality... Note; if you are going to have a Philly Cheese Steak on your menu you better buy a plane ticket and figure out how to make one..

Stopped by DJ's after traveling down to Omaha for a Gophers vs. UNO Hockey Game at the Qwest/CentryLink Center. It's a great place for sports, before the game it was wide open and after the game they had closed off a portion of the bar and turned that portion into a dueling piano bar. Though I didn't eat there, it looked like decent grill/pub fare. The staff was very accommodating to us MN Gopher fans and for that I give them 4 stars!

The place is nice...most the waitresses are pleasant to be around. The food is less then fabulous. There is more slices of bread on the club than meat. Hmm...
