Very, very good. White Fish was terrific! Fish tacos also great.

Let me start by saying I like the makeover and was excited about the new ownership and possibilities. What was bad for our table of three was the service. It took far too long to even get him to come over and take our order. We started with wings and they were just OK. The wings had a great crunchy coating but the sauce was thin and bland. One of the wings was even undercooked. Tables had come and gone by the time we got our entrees. We also had one hell of a time getting the attention of our waiter for refills. He set a container of used ketchup (from the previous occupants of our table) just on a ledge next to our table, didn't even bother to take it away. When our entrees did finally arrive our waiter had yet to clear the table of the wing debris and plates so I actually had to hold my scalding hot plate of mac'n cheese while he clumsily attempted to distribute the other entrees and then pick up just a few things. Our friend who needed salt for his steak stir fry was 3/4 of the way through before it arrived. My white wine which I CLEARLY stated to come out with my entree came out with the waters and was then too warm by the time our entrees finally came out. My husband LOVED his chicken rice bowl, and i did enjoy my mac'n cheese as well. That said I am torn to give only two stars, but that horrible service deserves it. Service is key. We can enjoy a good meal with better service in many other places in west O. We will eventually head back, hoping that our waiter has chosen another profession, and if he hasn't we will not hesitate to ask to sit elsewhere.

We made reservations off of open table. When we got there, they had a table ready for us right next to the bar, on the high tops, as if we were there for the bar. Nothing romantic about that. After about 8 minutes, the hostess asked us if our waiter had seen us yet, we said no. 2-ish minutes later, Rick came up. Great attitude, very nice but I don't think the whole night's outcome was his fault. Seemed as if he had way too many tables because he barely came by, and we noticed him all over the place, even outside lighting the heaters up. He took our order, chose some wine and ordered Bruchetta as an appetizer. It seemed to be around 15-20 minutes and we started wondering where it was. At that time, Rick came out with some chips and dip to make up for our appetizer because upon further review, they burnt it. (we think they actually forgot about it and said this as a cover). 5 minutes later, our appetizer came out. Rick then took our order. He used the Ipad to show us the specials which my wife and I found really cool and up to date. I ordered Crab stuffed Salmon and my wife ordered the Mac and Cheese. A minute later Rick comes back to tell us he didn't get the memo, but they are out of Mac and Cheese, then the hostess(i think) said to him, "no, wait, we do have mac and cheese". So now Rick is looking like a Jackbutt in front of us. The salad came out 15 minutes later. That was really good. About 20 minutes after that our Entree's came out. They looked extremely well and professional. Mine was great, and had no problems. My wife only ate about 1/8 of her Mac. Defiantly not worth $13 for a bowl of mac. Chicken was over salted and the Mac didn't have too much flavor other then the Gouda cheese covering it all. And back to how busy Rick was, all our food that came out, Rick didn't serve any of it. He refilled our water, more wine and got me a beer. Our bill was $74 for 3 glasses of wine, 1 beer, 1 appetizer and 2 entree's. A lot of un-coordination, management doesn't seem well ran in the kitchen, and when I want a romantic night, it's not on a bar stool next to the bar. Me thinks not.

There are few reviews on yelp compared to the business this restaurant was doing on a Tuesday night. The place was packed. We came because two friends had had good experiences here. The food was good, my wife would bump this to 3.5 or 4 stars. Soups were excellent in fact. My main disappointment with the entree was that it was too ambitious, a bend of rice, sauce and vegetables with either fish or chicken on top, which lead to the flavors not being distinct. A bit like a Healthy Choice dish. Not bad, but not distinct flavors. This is based on one dish, others around me enjoyed steaks etc. The menu is eclectic, and that is a plus, or finds the situation I experienced. Good wine choices, very attentive service. Nice atmosphere, great art. If I lived close by, I would do a return visit.

I'm going to preface this review by ackknowledging that I ordered the food delivered (I do love Omaha carryout!), so it may have been one star better in the restaurant. But Wow. Where to start? Calamari was so rubbery and tough that my six year olf daughter literally spent 5 mins trying to bite/rip/tug through a piece, to no avail. The 'ceviche' was something i had never encountered before, more like a chopped fish soup. None of the normal lime tang, cilantro and spice of a good ceviche-some very weird flavor, and literally in 2 inches of 'soup', could only eat a few bites. Ordered fish tacos, which can be fantastic when made right but I still dont know what/where the fish was (looked more like shredded carnitas) and the shell was exactly like a taco bell chalupa, fried, thick. The little side salad actually tasted BAD, like the lettuce was not good-Only took one bite. Wow, so dissappointed after reading the great reviews and spending $50. This is the 3rd time i have tried- 7 monkeys was blah but this was worse.

Went to 7M Grill this weekend for a few drinks with some girlfriends and was disappointed. Although I appreciate the tablecloths/decor, the rest was a mess. When you slide into the rounded booths, the tablecloth goes with you--regardless of your size! : ) We asked our VERY bland/non-attentive/didn't have a care in the world server if there were any drink specials---what a crazy question right?!!?? He replied "We absolutely do not--it is a Sat. night". We order drinks, and after waiting a significant amount of time, they show up. I know I am sounding anal, but there wasn't hardly anyone in the joint! We had to go up to the bar to ask for our tabs...our server was too busy leaning on the bar rail and flirting with the waitress to know we had been waiting a long time with empty glasses-- it came delivered as one joint tab, and he said it would be great if we could split it ourselves---lazy. He didn't count the money, because I had to pay using a card--and when I went up to him to tell him that, he said "oh, okay...i didn't realize". Decor is definitely a step up, but service...wow...terrible experience.

Love the food here and the atmosphere. We have experienced great service. During our last visit, my husband and I chose to sit outside even though it was a bit chilly. They brought me a soft, cozy blanket, which made the experience very nice. 7M is quickly becoming one of our new favorites.

I absolutely love this place- everything is to die for. I just learned that they are getting rid of my favorite dessert the pear crumb cake :'( we had to order two! I will still come back of course but I'm definitely going to keep asking them to bring it back. It something about the flavored whip cream with orange zest!

I have been wanting to try 7M for a while now but it took a great looking menu with Omaha Restaurant Week to finally get me in. Based on the food, I am HOOKED and WILL be back. Before the food, let me comment quickly on the ambiance. This is another restaurant with a modern decor but I found this one to be more appealing and less "medicinal" than many out there at the moment. The only drawback I found was that the bar was in the middle of the main inside dining right as you entered. Considering there were no other patrons at tables, but SEVERAL at the bar, it felt a little awkward as if people were watching me eat. Just a little quirk for me but no reason to not go. As for the food - as I mentioned, I went specifically for the restaurant week prix fixe menu and I was NOT disappointed. There were 9 GREAT choices and I doubt one could go wrong. Besides the fact that the ribeye was MUCH too thin and thus a bit tough, the rest of the meal was top notch. I have copied/pasted my options below. The risotto was AMAZING and the owner/manager (not sure which) offered up the gelato after dessert as well - incredible. blue cheese artichoke risotto: artichokes | blue cheese | cream | risotto maple ghost chili ribeye: grilled ribeye steak | braised kale and blue cheese smashed potatoes | brussel sprout corn and pork belly medley | maple ghost chile glaze poached pear: poached pear | toasted pecan mascarpone | spiced white chocolate | espresso sprinkles salted caramel cashew gelato: cashews | caramel | blackberries

Okay hopefully this review is valid BUT I just got back from the brewhaha event in Omaha earlier tonight and these folks were there as part of the tasting. Their Thai Chicken ravioli is one of the BEST things I think I have ever had. Not too sweet, not too spicy but very rich. It comes with a peanut sauce that is very subtle and great (normally I do not enjoy peanut anything). I am so impressed I plan on eating here soon. I met one of the chefs and the 3 folks there were really sweet. Seriously though, try that Thai chicken ravioli. So rich and it's only 9 dollars for lunch prices, you can't beat that.

I recently ate here with some girlfriends for my 30th birthday. We shared the Cheese Plate for an appetizer and while I wasn't impressed - it's only because I am a very picky eater =) The rest of my table enjoyed the various hard cheeses, meats, strawberries, breads, etc. For main course, I ordered the fish tacos. The portion was right and the shells were very interesting, the meal is marked Gluten Free so I'm curious what grain they use - interesting, but tasty. The black beans that accompany them are spicy as shit and wonderful with the rice. The food was decent, a nice atmosphere (large outdoor patio seating area). No real complaints but not food I'll ever crave either.

Absolutely amazing. So glad we swung in. Pretty quiet on a Saturday early afternoon. Amazing food - can't wait to try more of the menu!

I remember having no idea what to expect food wise of this place and scrolled thru my yelp account while waiting on being served to see what sorts of foods they had to offer. Unfortunately nothing they had on the menu was on this website (for the most part) because they apparently switch up their menu periodically. So WARNING. Yelp wont be much help if you want to know what tastes good and what does not. I was handed a printed out menu which had no photos of food and had no mixed drink options (only wine). The server didn't bother to bring a drink menu and I was forced to ask if the restaurant even had one. In my opinion you should offer a customer all menus and tell them of ALL their options. She returned with a short drink list of probably 5 or 6 cocktail choices. I ordered a few cocktails all which had little flavor and were greatly overpowered by the taste of straight vodka. Not impressed. If I wanted shots in a glass, I would have asked for it. If you are a younger adult, this may not be the most young people friendly oriented place..Maybe I am being a bit critical, but I felt like this place was filled with uppity stuck up older folks. At one point the couple sitting next to us literally quieted down to tune in on my conversation with my date and begin to badmouth us in front of us. I am sure this also ruined my trip, but hey you will meet rude people in life. It is what it is. Considering this restaurant is very far out of the way for most, and stuck in front a hyvee grocery store, I wouldn't chose this as a common go to place for a classy, convenient dinner choice. The restaurant is very dark, so we chose to eat outside. As for food, some of it was quite amazing. I ordered Korean ribs..best ribs I have EVER had. I believe that was the only highlight of the meal. My angel hair chicken spaghetti looked amazing and the display of the dish was pretty artistic and neat. However the noodles were soaked in oil. Authentic Italian food is actually quite healthy and I felt quite guilty and sick after consuming this dish. My dates hamburger supposedly had a "secret" sauce included and the burger tasted like a Village Inn average burger. His fries were crispy and close to burnt. For the price of close to a hundred bucks, it is not worth my money. The server did her job but didn't go out of her way to be friendly. I am a firm believer that we all have an intuition on peoples thoughts and I had the feeling she didn't enjoy her job because she wasn't as friendly as most upper class restaurants. I am huge on customer service and I dont believe I had the "above and beyond" experience. I hate to say it, but I don't think I will be back. One star for the ribs. Another star for the pretty decor and extremely clean interior.

Third try and no charm left for me. We've tried pretty much 2/3 of the whole menu with overall average acceptance. Service has been good each time but the food does very little for me.

Not sure this should be called a grill. The menu is much higher end. (As are the prices.) The food we had was very good. Unlike most "grills", 7M has a chef rather than a cook. This brings lots of interesting options to visitors. Try the chef's specials for something fun and unique.

Just ate at 7M on 04/26/13 and had an excellent first time experience! My waiter, Damon, was extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful. He suggested great menu items and made the visit to this restaurant even more memorable. I had the Artichoke Peppercorn Steak and it was literally one of the best meals that I have had at a restaurant in a very long time. I also enjoyed their house salad and washed everything down with a nice Chardonnay. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out. You will definitely see me in again sometime in the near future. Thanks 7M Grill for the great time! Richard E. Brown

It's a nice clean place to grab a bite to eat. Excellent service and free wi-fi. There are no vegetarian options (other than eggplant sandwich), however the server was more than willing (and did) whip up a healthy alternative. I had a portabello mushroom pesto sandwich with brussel sprouts as the sides. The sandwich tasted great but was very oily. The brussel spouts were good, but undercooked and also oily. Overall I had a good experience, however; on the same breath not sure its a place I would frequent due to the food options.

We sat at the bar. Every person at the bar had to continually ask for drinks & it wasn't that busy. At one point my bf & I had 2 empty wine glasses & 2 empty water glasses. The water was never refilled. We went for happy hour on Monday & ordered the tacos which were good, a side of risotto which was good & the 7M dip. The chips with the 7M dip were stale & it took quite awhile before we were asked how our food was & we were finished with everything else before a new order came out. We had to ask for plates & silverware. We were told the dip would be removed from the bill, but we had to remind the bartender, because it was on the check when it was presented. I tried the sangria & greatly disliked it. The bartender didn't ask to replace it, but instead said I was the only person in 6 batches that had ever not liked it & I probably didn't like it, because it was real sangria. Huh? I'm a seasoned bartender, and have had plenty of sangria in my day which is why I specifically asked about the drink in detail prior to ordering it. Also, the bartender continually used a pint glass to scoop ice. Huge no no for drink service!!!! I should add that normally I love everything about 7M. This last experience was unlike any other.

3.5 Stars. Although we went on a completely dead night (read: zero patrons on a monday 6pm dinner), I found 7M to be pretty good. I was disappointed to miss the happy hour, which goes till 6pm. I will have to plan accordingly for next time! The happy hour menu includes wine/beer/half off select apps. They have a pretty wide selection of foods as well as price ranges ($10 for a burger, $25 for the fish entree or a steak). The layout I didnt really care for, as the bar is the entrance focal point and much of the seating space, while it didnt seem like too impressive of a bar. The patio seating looks like where I would like to be on a bright spring day, although with this winter season we didn't get the chance to be seated outdoors. My burger was good- standard patty with all the normal fixings. My friend got the pad thai, while it was a pretty good serving size I thought it was an Americanized version of it. I know they have some pretty impressive things on the menu, so I look forward to trying some other menu items.

My brother and I went to 7M for lunch today, neither of us have been there before. The service was above average, and my brother's lunch was exceptional. My lunch however was tough to swallow, I would not recommend the fish tacos, the shell is too think and tough, the fish was under seasoned, as far as the beans I loved the spice but the acid was over powering, finally the rice was bland. My brother got the 7M salad and it looked amazing, I will go back just to try that salad.

My husband and I ate at 7M for our date night last night. Our meals were both delicious! I had the Blackened Mahi. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband raved about his pork meatloaf. Our server was friendly and prompt. Lovely dinner!

Enjoyable dinner at 7M Grill. The dining room is high-ceilinged, airy and pleasant. Patio also looks inviting, though it was a bit too sticky outside for us to try. Cocktails were chilled and my Bombay Sapphire martini was just right. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and did not hesitate to make suggestions and steer us in certain directions. In my case, it was away from the vodka mussels and toward the tenderloin special, which was delicious. I appreciate a server who is willing to say "A is better than B" instead of an unhelpful "Everything is great" comment. We started with the cheese board. My fiancee had Thai chicken ravioli which she liked, though I didn't think it equalled my tenderlion. Our dinner partner had cucumber mint chicken, which was not quite as she expected -- rather than a solid chicken breast it was in small pieces, more like a rice bowl. For dessert we shared a single serving sin-viche. This was the highlight of the meal. Dense rich chocolate, like a mousse but more intense. In the running for best dessert in town. I could see showing up just for dessert and getting a double sin-viche all to myself.

I've been avoiding trying this place out for awhile. We have our regular spots and our special occasion spots, I didn't want to be tempted into loving a new place that's pretty close to home. Then a daily deal for 7M Grill came along and all was lost, I caved. We ate in the main dining room, but I envied the people on the (protected) patio, especially when the storm started. It was too hot for me to eat out there this night, but I plan to take advantage of it on a cooler evening. It looks like the place to be. We started with martinis, which were pretty good, but needed to be chilled a bit longer. Next came a very nice onion soup, salty and rich, just the way I like it. Then, we ordered the frites as an appetizer, even though they are a side dish on the menu. Excellent! They were perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. The dijon tarragon sauce they were served with was wonderful. My dining partner had the coffee dusted salmon, which he loved. It came with risotto that was on the sweet and creamy side, which complimented the salmon very nicely. I had the Mahi Mahi with avocado based sauce. I was very pleased with it. We were both very full at this point, although we very much wanted to try the dessert. That will have to wait for our next visit, which we are already planning. Yes, they hooked us. :-)

This place is awesome! Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Sat at the bar top with two friends and Katelyn took care of us. She was one of the best servers I have ever had. She was funny, sociable, and completely knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and you could really tell she took pride in 7M. The food was great, we will definitely be back. Thank you Katelyn and 7M!

We had a very disappointing Mother's Day brunch here. My family has come for Mother's Day brunch the past 3 years, but this was the first time they offered a brunch buffet (which they did not inform us about when we made the reservation). The food was sub-par at best with limited options given the price point. The eggs were dry and over-cooked, the salad was boring, and there was an inedible corn and Brussel sprouts side dish. The food was more like a lame wedding buffet than something we would expect from 7M (e.g., mediocre chicken, steak, mashed potato, wild rice). The service was quite good so I am upping this to 2 stars, but I would not go again if they serve a buffet.

I was really pleased with the meal we had recently at 7M. My entree was sesame wasabi salmon. Bill ordered the fish tacos (because fiendishly searching for the next best fish taco fix is something we have in common) and I was skeptical after my last lunchtime experience. But I tried a bite and they were much more impressive than my last visit. That is worth a do-over on my next trip. Saturday night they were apparently at the top of their game, and cranked out one amazing dish after another. And we didn't even have any soup this time. Starter was Thai Steak Lavosh. Crispy, sweet, savory, and spicy. Everything in delicious harmony. My salmon was cooked perfectly, flaky and moist, though I could see the wasabi being a little too strong for some. The mango salsa balanced nicely and the portion size was proportioned well - say that 3x fast... Wash it all down with Goose Island Sophie and you can't give that all anything but 5 stars. Bravo.

I usually don't review a place after one visit but the odds of me making it back out to 158th & Maple are pretty scarce so here it goes. We finally made it out here for lunch this week. The owner seated us and our waitress (the only waitress working the whole place) was fantastic. I ordered the BLT on jalapeno cornbread and my gf ordered the Argentinean beef pasta. My sandwich was great - thick bacon and a great dijon mayo. I normally don't eat french fries but these were cooked perfect. The real star was her pasta dish though. Cavatappi noodles with a corn, potatoes and a cream sauce topped with grilled steak strips and chimichurri . This dish was outstanding - tangy and creamy at the same time. If we loved in the area we would def frequent this place.

This place was wonderful. First time for us. My husband got the scallops and pork belly. Delicious with a nice light flavor. I had steak and lobster risotto and it was creamy. Steak was tender melt in your mouth. Good portions too. We also shared mac and cheese homemade version. Also shared creme brule which was very good and in a deep dish; in other words you get your money worth even if it is a bit on the high end of price. Well worth it.

Had a nice dinner at 7M. Made reservations through Yelp and the table was ready when we arrived. Katie, our server, was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. She did a great job! Our entrees were all very good. The coffee dusted salmon was great . Had some hesitations as to the combo of coffee and fish, but after Katie's recommendation, we were very pleased. Also had the steak and scallops and the bourbon mushroom steak. Both were very good. Really good deserts were a nice ending. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Not certain on why 7M Grill has an accumulated only a star rating of three. I have dined at this restaurant eight times and have experienced consistent food quality, cordial service, well timed meal delivery, and a progressive menu. They have covered all the bases. 1/2 price bottles on Wednesdays and Free entrees and mimosas for Moms on Sundays are additional bonuses!

Came here for the first time for dinner with my husband for a late date night on a Saturday night. Wasn't sure what to think when we first walked in of the decor and layout, but we were promptly seated at a table near the bar and greeted by a friendly and personable bar tender who was also taking tables. I wish I remembered his name because he was wonderful! Even if the food had only been mediocre I would have probably still given them the same 4 stars based solely on the service. However, the food was delightful. Since we weren't wanting full entrees, we decided to try a few of their starters. Based on our server's recommendation, we tried the Thai Egg Rolls, which I highly recommend! Great flavor, and definitely not what you would expect from a typical egg roll. We also had the Artichoke Crab Dip (my least favorite, but still good) and the Lavosh with chicken. Everything had a nice flavor to it, I just felt like the Artichoke Crab Dip was heavy on the cheese (and grease) and didn't have that much crab. But overall, I enjoyed what we had. For drinks, I started with a Peace Tree Blonde Fatale and my husband had a Millstream Brewery beer that they had on tap. For our second round I had the Traveler's Grapefruit Ale and he had a chocolate stout that he thoroughly enjoyed. I really can't say enough about the great service we received throughout the night (attentive without being obnoxious) and the next time we are in NW Omaha, we will definitely go back.

Here's the deal, this has always been a great bar. I've never been impressed by the food. The appetizers were always good. Tonight I thought differently. Great meal. Outside. Service was great. The korean ribs $10, as an appetizer was excellent, coffee salmon excellent, $19, Thai salmon salad $16, good, it took the bartender a while but he finally figured out what a "Tanqueray martini neat" $9, really meant. ( no Ice and no olive juice, just neat.) Napolean tart $7, for dessert, excellent. I think the food is getting better, but hurry, the server said they about to change the menu!

Excellent in every category. I had the coffee dusted salmon with cheesy risotto. My wife had coconut chicken. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and explained the preparation methods in detail.

The coffee dusted salmon was amazing, There was a little spice from the sriracha risotto but that was balanced out with mango guacamole. Overall, fantastic entree and the service was great. I don't usually have bread pudding but tried it out here and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend this restaraunt to those looking for good food in Omaha

This was our first time at 7M. Friends recommended we go to their Wednesday's at 1. (Reservations required) We were not disappointed!! For $10 each, you sample dishes, family style, prepared by the Chef. You then give feedback to the Chef on what you liked and did not like. We had the duck, cod, and lamb chops. Everything was DELICIOUS! Presentation was perfect!! Oh, and wine is included!!!!! We will definitely go back!!!

What a gem this place was, can't say too many 'strip mall' restaurants operate at the same caliber as this place. After reading the reviews, I wasn't sure if this place would be a solid choice for a double date, or we would be regretting it. Turns out, this place is delicious, and awesome, and everyone loved it! Had reservations, and got seated at a nice corner table. It was still loud, but that is sort of the atmosphere of the place. Attentive server, who kept his distance, but appeared when needed. Thumbs up to that. Excellent wine list, AND if you order a daily special, you receive a 3oz. pour of the paired wine for the dish. Excellent idea! Two of us had pasta, one had steak and scallops and the other had salmon. We were all impressed with our entrees. The meat and cheese tray was a little lackluster, nothing stood out as specialty, or gourmet. Mostly just grocery store purchased items filled the board. It was a nice starter, but the main dishes overshadowed the appetizer. In house desserts were a solid choice to end the evening too. The flavor of the day creme brule, and cheesecake were wonderful. Rarely do I find myself out in Northwest Omaha, but I will recommend this place to my friends who live nearby. If I am in the neighborhood, I would definitely return. Glad there is this option for food lovers who reside out West.

Stopped by thinking this was more in the bar/grill category, but quite surprised to find a very classy establishment. Our waiter was very helpful picking out drink options and was more than willing to let us do our thing, which is a good thing since we were just having a few drinks while surfing the web. Didn't order off their food menu but definitely has some sophisticated dishes with plenty of creativity in terms of flavors - a lot of skill clearly goes into making this a fine dining experience at a reasonable price. We will be back next time we are in town looking for a solid date night experience.

7m was far better under the old menu a few years ago. It is my understanding that they have a different cook now? My recent experiences have not gone too well. Yeah, the atmosphere is good, the place is nice, has outside seating, and the location is good. But the service and food is not even close to what it was a few years ago under the old management or cook or whoever it was. I flat out don't like the food choices on the menu. I suppose portion size is ok but it is way overpriced. I think 7m has lost its identity. I'm not sure how to categorize it. A spendy sports bar?

The food was absolutely delicious! It was worth every penny I spent. The Thai eggrolls were so yummy! I am new to the area, so I decided that I should try some place new. The staff was friendly and efficient. They gave great recommendations, and made sure that we enjoyed our food no matter what. The food is a little pricey for what I think is a grill, but I'm glad that 7M grill turned around my ideas of what grill food could be. I look forward to visiting again.

We just came for drinks and an appetizer. Enjoyed the lettuce wraps. The first patron on rocks came out with more melted ice than tequila. It was immediately fixed with the second round. Thanks for the generous pour of Patron.

Having dined at 7M several times in the last few months I was expecting a nice dinner last night on the patio. We were the fourth table on the the patio and it took a awhile to get a drink. I ordered a Sky Vodka Martini as the server and I shooed away flies and bees. The server even commented on hoe determined the bee was. I had only a sip of my martini when a huge fly dive bombed in to my drink!!! I asked the server to please take it away BUT have to admit I was shocked to be charged $9.75 for the original drink as well as the replacement. I know I picked the patio but SERIOUSLY!!! I had the steak and potato salad which is always a favorite of mine and my husband ordered a hamburger. It took a long time for our order to arrive and I even when inside and asked if there was a problem with our order. The food runner told me the order had been placed at 7:38 and we were served at 8ish. My salad had an awful lot of the hard white lettuce "tails" and I lined up at least 8 on the rim of my plate. The potatoes looked like frozen square hash-browns. I could have sworn in the past the potatoes were new potato chunks. The tomato slices were hot house, August in Nebraska and hot house tomatoes? The dressing was good but this was not the salad I usually enjoy at 7M. My husband enjoyed his burger but the fries were super skinny and did not appear to be the "handcut" variety the server mentioned. I asked the server to box the 3/4 of salad I had left but he never brought it back to our table!! Bill for drink with a fly, and replacement drink and no leftovers to take home....$42.50

We went for brunch. It was quiet but the food and drinks were excellent! I had the shrimp tostada an would highly suggest it. The server was honest with suggestions and attentive! Overall a great place!
I've been wanting to try 7m for awhile now and finally went yesterday. I was definately not disappointed. I probably had some of the best ceviche in omaha and the service was impeccable! The atmosphere was not pretentious but very calm and laid back. The menu has many interesting choices and I can't wait to come back and try everything. Definately give 7m a try!

Visited only twice, but had a delightful meal both times. Issue from my perspective is that half the restaurant is wasted with high top tables. A few by the bar for people waiting is okay, but when I am looking for a great evening dining experience, it does not involve sitting in uncomfortable high top bar chairs and tables.
3rd visit since our original review 2 years ago. Last time not so good especially compared to our initial visit. This time no visit at all. We waited by the hostess station but...nobody came to greet us. Apparently business is that great these days. Good luck getting us back again.

Personally I think this is one of the most underrated places in Omaha. Or maybe just lesser known? Maybe it's just that very few believe in a local awesome restaurant west of 120th Street, but I'm telling you, it's consistently amazing. The weekly specials are always really innovative and truly special (become a fan on Facebook, they post pics of the new ones) and the staff is pretty great. The patio is lovely when it's nice out, but the inside is great too. I've done business dinners, date nights and wine nights with a friend, it was appropriate for all three. I called recently to make a reservation for a special event and the chef personally spoke to me about it to give some additional info. He was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable and accommodating about some of the dietary restrictions in our party, even for a special event dinner I'm sure he quite carefully crafted. I was so impressed.

Good food, amazing service. We literally drove around Omaha looking desperately for a new restaurant to try out and saw 7M while flying down Maple WAY out West, an area of town we rarely spend time in. A bit unconvinced, we decided to try it anyways. Well, the food was totally solid, I had a vegetarian dish that was very comfort food-esque (although there was maybe too much cream, but it was still good) and the husband had a steak that he enjoyed. The atmosphere was lovely, clean and modern but with a comfortable feel. The service is really where the place stood out. We had ordered an appetizer that didn't make it to us on time so our very nice and attentive server apologized profusely and offered to buy our bruschetta and a dessert. We declined the dessert but took the appetizer to go. Then the manager came along to ensure that we were happy, apologizing again in a very professional and genuine way and offering dessert. Looking back, I wish I had the appetite to try the dessert as the table behind us starting loudly and happily complimenting their dessert. There will be a next time, I'm sure...

Being new to Omaha, I was so happy to see a place that strays away from the heavy Midwestern comforts and chooses to combine wild flavors for true a tasting adventure - right up the street from my house and in a strip mall no less. There are more and more of these restaurants in the city that I am coming across, but 7M is a real gem. Its smaller environment is cozy and friendly. Great wine list & specialty cocktails. The food is really incredible. Coming from a metropolis, I cannot give too much weight to the "wait for a table is too long" and "food is too pricey" complaints - those are two things to expect for an extraordinary culinary delight. Friday and Saturday reservations are a must! OH - and the caribbean chicken soup on Thursday nights is worth scheduling an early dinner for to make sure you get some of the limited batch. I bring all of my big city friends & family here when they come to visit - the food is top notch without the pretentious "foodie" environment. Two thumbs up!!

My wife and I have eaten at 7M twice in the past month. Both times, the food has been good. I've had the Argentine Beef and I love it. Wife ordered salmon specials on each visit. Both dishes were pretty average. We both agreed that the portions are very small. An appetizer is a must at 7M just so you get somewhere close to full. Decent wine list but pretty limited by the glass. Overall, this place keeps getting better and we will keep coming back. The new ownership is definitely on the right track.

I've been here twice now and have ordered the same thing both times because I liked it that much. The Fish Tacos. I'll probably order them again this week if I go by there. Great atmosphere, a nice selection of wines, and a creative menu. Wednesday they have half price bottles of wine. I'd say about 1/3 to 1/2 of the wines that are on their wine menu are marked for half price on Wednesday's. I was surprised at all of the negative reviews, but I can say that both times I've been here, as well as the guest I brought with me, it was very good.

I went to 7M for lunch with s one friends. We sat at the bar and enjoys some drinks and good food. The be was cold, the food was hot, and the service was very good. The burger was tender and juicy, with the right amount of seasoning. All in all, a good experience. I tend to go for super spicy stuff, but the bartender steered me away from the ghost pepper soup. I wish that I had given it a try...

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful meal last night at 7M. After searching previous reviews we decided to give it a try. We both had the "seafood special" of grilled shrimp and scallops with risotto. AMAZING! Side salad nice with their creamy balsamic dressing. Husband had a cup of their buffalo chicken soup, very good. Ended with a deliciously sinful chocolate dessert. Especially surprised that we did not have to go "downtown" for a great meal and plenty of easy parking. No sticker shock when handed the bill. Food was worth every penny. Glass of wine included in Special Entrees. Our server, Rick, was attentive and well informed. Our hostess was friendly and gave us a rundown on the weekday specials (necessary since she said the website has not been updated). Will absolutely go back again, soon,to try the regular menu. I really want to try the Thai Ravioli. "Sports bar" feel is gone, however, the TVs were available for us all to see Auburn beat Alabama! Hint to owner: with crowd leaning towards the over 40 group, you may want to replace the high-tops with nice roomy tables.

My husband really wrote the reveiw for this place well. I was definitely unhappy with the quality of service and paying for overpriced food that didn't go well together. We may have just hit it on a bad night, but this was part of our date night and we ended up waiting around for service and our food. The place is gorgeous, but when we set a reservation and the place sits us at a high top next to the bar instead of in the modern, inviting dining area, I already starting having my doubts about how this place is ran. I had the mac and cheese. It was good, but definitely not worth the $14 I paid. We will probably not come back.

I recently was invited to do a Private Chef's Table and was amazed at how each and every dish was incredibly tasteful. I'm a vegetarian and the chef made a complete separate menu for me, all made to perfection. I will refer many people, especially vegetarians to 7M. The service was outstanding, our server Kristen was very attentive. I think I've found my new favorite place to dine.

I wasn't sure what to expect, between the reviews here and the Best of Omaha write-ups. Yelpers have never led me astray when I've been looking for new places to try, so I was curious on the disconnection for 7M Grill. I currently live in Old Market, so any time I drive west of the 680, it's like driving to Colorado for dinner. But 7M Grill was totally worth the drive to Colorado. I had the Hazelnut Blue Cheese tenderloin and my friend had the Argentinian beef... both were excellent and cooked appropriately, though I'll admit the "herb roasted potatoes" on the side of mine were more like the home fries I'd expect to get for breakfast at a diner. They were tasty, though, so there's that. And we had the deconstructed apple crisp for dessert, which meant individual apple slices coated in the "crisp" and fried, with the ice cream in the middle of the plate. Also tasty, and surprisingly not heavy and the end of a steak-heavy meal. I suspect the restaurant has taken the slow service comments to heart, because we had lots of attention and never had to search someone out. The only down side is that when I think of fine dining, it's not sitting at a high bar tabletop - I always feel like I'm in a high chair. But that doesn't seem to bother anyone else - the place was packed when we arrived for a 7:30pm reservation on a Saturday, though it had cleared out a bit by our departure at 9-something. It strikes me that it's a great place to head to from the subdivisions for some excellent food, though a bit of a haul from my current place. If only they had a location in Midtown Crossing or Old Market!

Before we get to the review of the restaurant itself, we must discuss the name, 7M Grill. I would not call this a grill, a term I associate with casual restaurants, as this is much more fine dining. With a price point of $25 - $30 an entree, I think the term fine dining fits the bill. With that said, I the decor and vibe of this place meshes rather well with their menu. I ordered the strip steak which comes with potatoes ( more on those later) and a medey of julienned vegetables. My other half had the same thing, except he opted for the filet instead of the strip. Both of our steaks were good, however my strip did have a bit more fat and gristle than I would have expected at the almost $30 price point. His filet was much better, and if you choose to order this dish, I'd definitely urge you to go for the filet. The steak was seasoned adequately, but definitely needed some more salt, as the mustard cream sauce it was served on wasn't very salty. The veggie medley included zucchini, carrots, onions, and both green and red bell peppers. It was quite good. Now, onto those potatoes I mentioned a second ago. Oh my goodness gracious alive, I could gorge on those all day long. Small little rounds of delicious potato goodness drenched in an exorbitantly caloric, but worth every bite, cream sauce. They were a bit of heaven on a plate. Service was very good, though we did come at a super dead time. The restaurant also seemed very clean and well kept. The prices are high here, perhaps a bit too high for what you receive. An appetizer, 2 entrees, and a few drinks is going to run well over $100 here, probably much closer to the $200 mark, so be prepared for that. With that said, they do seem to have some good happy hour specials in terms of both drinks and apps which could help keep the price down a bit.

Eaten here several times but not during peak biz hours so I can't speak to the slow service mentioned previously. What we've always gotten was cordial, helpful service in a fairly timely manner. But the food is WONDERFUL!!! The egg roll appetizer is our fave & from the entrees all the beef dishes have been amazing, a chicken mint & cucumber risotto was also something I'll definitely order again. SO HAPPY to have a non-chain restaurant on the west side that has unique, quality, good fusion recipes!

Richard E. Brown

3rd visit since our original review 2 years ago. Last time not so good especially compared to our initial visit. This time no visit at all. We waited by the hostess station but...nobody came to greet us. Apparently business is that great these days. Good luck getting us back again.

The service was excellent but the food was mediocre at best. Not many options to choose from on the menu (About 6 appetizers, 8 entrees, 6 salads, a couple dessert options, etc..) however, the drink menu was very extensive. Had we not ordered an appetizer, we would have left hungry because the portions are small, especially for the price (we ordered 3 drinks total, an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert and spent $100 with tip) Our salmon entree and fish taco entree were much too dry and way too expensive. The best part of the whole experience was the snickers cheesecake we had for dessert- best slice of cheesecake I have had in a long time!

Also, the bartender continually used a pint glass to scoop ice. Huge no no for drink service!!!! I should add that normally I love everything about 7M. This last experience was unlike any other.

Third try and no charm left for me. We've tried pretty much 2/3 of the whole menu with overall average acceptance. Service has been good each time but the food does very little for me.

One of the best restaurants in Omaha. I've never had a bad meal...and the atmosphere is comfortable and classy without being to stuffy.

The food was good, not great by any means, the service was good - it was overpriced for what we received. The presentation of the entrees was undesirable... Be prepared to spend about $100 for two.

Love this restaurant! Consistently delicious, fresh food. Service could be just a tad quicker/meal timing (time between appetizer & meal) could be improved upon. Really enjoy the ambiance and friendly service!

Not sure this should be called a grill. The menu is much higher end. (As are the prices.) The food we had was very good. Unlike most "grills", 7M has a chef rather than a cook. This brings lots of interesting options to visitors. Try the chef's specials for something fun and unique.

(2)Dan M.

(2)Sarah G.

Great server. Great cheese board! But, I think whom ever you hired as your bartender/ waitresses , you better give her a raise! She made an awesome experience!! ( skinny blonde) . Great food! Accommodating!

One of the best restaurants in Omaha. I've never had a bad meal...and the atmosphere is comfortable and classy without being to stuffy.

(3)Laura G.

(2)Rachel H.
We went for brunch. It was quiet but the food and drinks were excellent! I had the shrimp tostada an would highly suggest it. The server was honest with suggestions and attentive! Overall a great place!
(5)J S.
This place is $$$. An average entrée runs between $17-20 and then to add a side or salad is extra $. The server was nice, but he added 18% gratiuity on my check (party of 2) because I was using PinPoint, FYI I know to tip on the original bill. I had the thai pasta and my hubby the ny strip pasta. Both were okay, but I wouldn't say I was overly impressed. We also sat in the lounge and the tables are way to close to one another completely overheard the ladies next to me. Disappointing experience.
(3)Katie F.
(5)Becca R.
One word: AMAZING!! Loved the Korean short ribs, the wine, the Jerk Mahi Mahi, and the cheesecake. I'm already planning my return visit!
(5)Roland F.
(3)David G.
We had dinner there on a Monday night for my wife's bday. Our server was Damon and he was exceptional in his service and appropriately attentive. The nightly specials from Chef Aron are well thought out. My wife had the scallops which were accompanied by a sweet potato mash and delightful raspberry purée. My daughter had the marinated steak and I enjoyed the black pepper salmon salad. Well done and skillfully presented. The highlight is always the dessert. Sin-Viche is the go to chocolate dessert. My wife could eat that every time as the main dish. This is her favorite place to eat and the food, ambience and attentive staff are the reasons why.

(5)Kate G.

(5)Robert S.
(4)Micki S.
always, always, always a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. the chefs introduce new specials regularly and they are unique. unlike anything you can get anywhere else.
(5)Ben F.

My taste buds never tasted anything like it and our waitress was amazing

(4)Michele R.
The food was good, not great by any means, the service was good - it was overpriced for what we received. The presentation of the entrees was undesirable... Be prepared to spend about $100 for two.
(2)Laura K.
(2)Mindy M.
Very, very good. White Fish was terrific! Fish tacos also great.
(5)K. D.
Love this restaurant! Consistently delicious, fresh food. Service could be just a tad quicker/meal timing (time between appetizer & meal) could be improved upon. Really enjoy the ambiance and friendly service!
(4)Nicole M.
(5)Stephanie M.
If only they had a location in Midtown Crossing or Old Market!

excellent food, ridiculous wait time.

(4)Jamie L.

The new ownership is definitely on the right track.

always, always, always a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. the chefs introduce new specials regularly and they are unique. unlike anything you can get anywhere else.

My taste buds never tasted anything like it and our waitress was amazing

(4)Michele R.
The food was good, not great by any means, the service was good - it was overpriced for what we received. The presentation of the entrees was undesirable... Be prepared to spend about $100 for two.
(2)Laura K.
(4)Dan M.
Not sure this should be called a grill. The menu is much higher end. (As are the prices.) The food we had was very good. Unlike most "grills", 7M has a chef rather than a cook. This brings lots of interesting options to visitors. Try the chef's specials for something fun and unique.
(4)Nicole M.
(5)Stephanie M.
If only they had a location in Midtown Crossing or Old Market!

excellent food, ridiculous wait time.

(4)Rick M.
Still s fun and varied menu. Today I had portobello cheese soup. Lunch specials abound.

Richard E. Brown

(3)Tom A.
(2)Wendy C.

(2)Sarah G.

(5)Teri C.

My husband and I ate at 7M for our date night last night. Our meals were both delicious! I had the Blackened Mahi. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband raved about his pork meatloaf. Our server was friendly and prompt. Lovely dinner!

Richard E. Brown

3rd visit since our original review 2 years ago. Last time not so good especially compared to our initial visit. This time no visit at all. We waited by the hostess station but...nobody came to greet us. Apparently business is that great these days. Good luck getting us back again.

Still s fun and varied menu. Today I had portobello cheese soup. Lunch specials abound.

If only they had a location in Midtown Crossing or Old Market!

excellent food, ridiculous wait time.

Third try and no charm left for me. We've tried pretty much 2/3 of the whole menu with overall average acceptance. Service has been good each time but the food does very little for me.

(5)Teri C.

(3)John O.
Excellent in every category. I had the coffee dusted salmon with cheesy risotto. My wife had coconut chicken. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and explained the preparation methods in detail.
(5)Alex K.

Great server. Great cheese board! But, I think whom ever you hired as your bartender/ waitresses , you better give her a raise! She made an awesome experience!! ( skinny blonde) . Great food! Accommodating!

(5)Audrey C.
(4)Jeff N.
One of the best restaurants in Omaha. I've never had a bad meal...and the atmosphere is comfortable and classy without being to stuffy.
(5)Max A.

(3)Laura G.
(5)Rob R.

(3)Katie F.
(5)Becca R.
One word: AMAZING!! Loved the Korean short ribs, the wine, the Jerk Mahi Mahi, and the cheesecake. I'm already planning my return visit!
(5)Roland F.

The new ownership is definitely on the right track.

always, always, always a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. the chefs introduce new specials regularly and they are unique. unlike anything you can get anywhere else.

My taste buds never tasted anything like it and our waitress was amazing

The food was good, not great by any means, the service was good - it was overpriced for what we received. The presentation of the entrees was undesirable... Be prepared to spend about $100 for two.
